Hours Later at the tea party...
“…so I decided to make her a snack!” Jinx said as she reached for the cover of the serving plate.
Vi began to breath heavily, as part of her tried to look away, while the other part couldn’t tear her eyes from the plate. It was a big cover. Big enough to fit someone’s … no…. She wouldn’t! She…
As she was still processing her thoughts, Jinx then grinned as she pulled the cover off, revealing only a cupcake.
Vi exhaled audibly, letting out a deep breath, feeling a sense of relief wash over her as she heard Jinx say casually:
“Sheesh, I’m not that crazy!” Jinx said, as Vi looked down at the long table that seemed to go off into the darkness. She tried not to look at the makeshift puppets sitting at two spots to her left. Before she could ask what Jinx had done with Caitlyn, Jinx turned away from her, and called out to no one in particular:
“You can come in, we’re just talking.”
Vi wondered who Jinx was talking to, as it was just the two of them there. Well, the only two people that were actually real.
“Thank you, Jinx.”
And after a moment, Vi felt her heart lift, and her moment of panic fade, as she recognized that voice. Both the voice, and the accent. She was okay! Vi turned to see something move in the darkness at the other end of the table, slowly walking towards her and Jinx. She could hear the clicks of the boots against the wooden floor. As Vi continued to stare, the source of the voice got closer, and a tall slim figure began walking out of the darkness towards her. And once it reached the table, the lights from the candles were enough to reveal who it was. And Vi could see that she was right. It was Caitlyn! She was okay! She was wearing the unmistakable uniform of the Enforcer. And while Vi had long hated the sight of Enforcers, that wasn’t true for Caitlyn. She wasn’t like the others. She remembered how caring and compassionate Caitlyn was. The way Caitlyn spoke so passionately and eloquently about the plight of everyone in Zaun. Vi thought she would never see Caitlyn again after she left her in the rain. She felt a pang of guilt, knowing she had made a mistake. But that didn’t matter, because Caitlyn was here now. Caitlyn continued staring at Vi as she walked, a serious, but warm expression on her face. As she did so, Vi could see that Caitlyn was looking at the bindings holding Vi to her chair, and she then remembered Jinx, and the danger they were in. But before she could say anything, Caitlyn walked past Jinx, glancing at Jinx briefly. Jinx said nothing but followed Caitlyn from a few feet back. Vi’s eyes widened in fear for Caitlyn, as she seemed to not notice Jinx following her towards where Vi was sitting. Vi tried to say something, but Caitlyn, looking back at where Vi was motioning, simply put her hand up, as if to say everything was okay. Vi was confused, but said nothing, still trying to process everything that happened. But finally, Vi spoke out in a shaky voice:
“Caitlyn, behind you. Jinx is —“ Caitlyn again interrupted with a hand and a small smile as she reached Vi. She was now standing next to Vi, and bent over so that her face was a few inches from Vi. Caitlyn then smiled and said:
“It’s okay, Vi. Everything’s alright”. Vi looked up at her, trying to smile, but finding it hard to do so, with Jinx standing a few feet behind her. Jinx had a strange, almost cruel smile on her face, as she stared at Vi, and then at Caitlyn.
Caitlyn then gently caressed Vi’s face, her gloved hand cupping Vi’s jaw before gently letting go as she repeated:
“It’s okay, Vi, everything’s alright.” Jinx’s voice then interrupted.
“Hey, it’s almost time, look out that window.”
Vi slowly looked out the window, and saw that in the distance, was the Piltover council building. As she looked back at Jinx, she saw a flash coming back from the window. She looked, and saw that the council building had been turned into a bright orange fireball. And all around it, it looked like some smaller explosions were going off as well. She then heard a cackle, and turned in horror to see Jinx laughing, but not laughing as much as she should have. Vi then shouted at Jinx:
“Powder! What did you do?!” Jinx only laughed as she looked back at the window.
“Well, it had to be done sis! But I can’t take all the credit. I don’t know the best places to put the bombs in Piltover. But someone was nice enough to help me!” Jinx then put her hands behind her back playfully and tilted her head towards Caitlyn.
Vi looked on in confusion and horror at Jinx, and then realized, that Caitlyn hadn’t reacted, or said anything after the explosions went off. Vi then turned her attention from Jinx to Caitlyn, who had been staring at Vi with a concerned look on her face. Caitlyn then looked towards the window, then toward Jinx. After staring at Jinx, Caitlyn then looked at Vi, and offered her a smile, no doubt trying to reassure her that everything was going to be okay.
In that moment, Vi tried to forget about the carnage that was happening in Piltover, and tried to smile back at Caitlyn, knowing she must be holding in how horrified she must be at the carnage that was unfolding. Caitlyn continued to smile back. And it looked like her smile was about to fade, but then, her smile seemed to grow, the orange glow from the explosions illuminating one side of her face. The smile then grew to where Caitlyn’s teeth began to show, and then… a laugh escaped from her. A laugh? From Caitlyn? Vi was dumbfounded, and looked to see Jinx join in Caitlyn’s laugh. As Caitlyn laughed, she put a hand to her face, as if to cover politely cover it. As she did so, she looked away for a moment, and then back down at Vi, and that was whey Vi saw that Caitlyn’s blue eyes… looked different. There was a shade of… pink, to them? And Caitlyn’s movements when she laughed, she seemed to twitch, and spasm as she laughed. Similar to…
Vi turned, her eyes wide with shock, as she stared at Jinx, and after a moment, she screamed at her sister:
“W-what did you do?!”
Jinx slowly walked up next to Caitlyn, smiling at her before looking down at Vi, and Caitlyn did the same, although with her more serious look back on her face.
“I fixed her, sis! It wouldn’t have worked between you two, as much as you wanted it to, right, cupcake?” Jinx said, giggling at how Vi bristled at the word she used for Caitlyn. Vi turned helplessly to Caitlyn as she struggle in vain to get free from her binding.
An almost pained smile came to Caitlyn’s face as she nodded while keeping Vi’s gaze.
“Vi, you did say were were oil and water. And that it would never work. That was the last thing you said when you walked away from me, remember?” Jinx mock nodded, as if echoing what Caitlyn had said. Vi looked away in shame, remembering how she had left Caitlyn and walked away from her, after she did so much to try and help her.
Vi then felt Caitlyn’s gloved hand around her chin, turning it to look up at her. Caitlyn looked so peaceful and compassionate. And Vi could tell that there was a hint of pain in her expression. Caitlyn then looked down, as if unsure of something, but then looked at Vi and said:
“But then Jinx found me afterwards, later on…”
“She found you?” Vi repeated, fear and anger both vying for control. She then realized that Jinx must have kidnapped Caitlyn after Vi left her. Left her alone.
“What did you do to her?!?.” Caitlyn tried to put her hands up, as if to defend Jinx, and Jinx simply shrugged before replying.
“I told you, sis, I fixed her. She was just like all the other pilties. She said she wanted to help the people of Zaun. But she was never gonna be able to do it in Piltover, right?” Jinx finished, her eyes raised as she looked up at Caitlyn. Caitlyn looked briefly at Jinx and then at Vi before saying with a kind expression:
“Vi, she… she’s right. I was never going to be able to help the people of Zaun by going to the council. We both saw that, remember? And Jinx showed me that. She showed me. And now I know…”. Caitlyn paused, a compassionate look upon her face. Vi listened wordlessly.
“Now you know what?” Vi said hesitantly.
Caitlyn looked down, as if embarrassed, and then looked to Jinx, as if checking if she could answer. Jinx grinned while nodding, and Caitlyn then turned to Vi. Then, slowly, the compassionate expression became a smile. And then a grin. A grin that appeared so out of place on Caitlyn’s soft face. And for the briefest of moments, it looked like Caitlyn was confused at why she was smiling, but then seemed to shake the thought away, as if it weren’t important. She then let out a giggle, and then put a hand to her mouth to again try to cover her laugh. And then, as she laughed, Vi saw it. The spasm, the nervous twitch that permeated throughout Caitlyn, as if she had received a static shock. But rather than show pain, Caitlyn instead closed her eyes and opened her mouth to let out a soft gasp, before letting out breath. And as the spasm subsided, Caitlyn kept a smile on her face, and slowly bit her lower lip as she bent down towards the horrified Vi. Vi looked into Caitlyn’s eyes, but that warmth, that compassion and idealism. It wasn’t there. It was different now. Twisted. There was just that strange… smile. It was like a nervous giggle, from someone who wasn’t used to laughing. And then those eyes which had… a trace of glowing pink in them. And that’s when Vi realized what it was.
Shimmer.
Caitlyn had simmer in her. But this wasn’t just any kind of shimmer. This was something new. Something worse. And Jinx had pumped it into Caitlyn. And now Caitlyn…
Caitlyn continued smiling, and then turned serious as she spoke in a soft voice:
“Now I know what to do…” Caitlin said in a calm voice, her Piltover accent still prominent, but her voice somehow less steady as she looked back at a smiling Jinx before looking to Vi.
Caitlyn then said in a serious, determined voice, while holding that expression that Vi could tell was trying to contact a smile and laugh. Caitlyn then continued:
“To help the people of Zaun. To help all the people who… really need my help.”
Vi was scared for Caitlyn. What did she have in mind? Another terrorist attack? But before she could do anything, Caitlyn reached down and gently swiped her tears away, saying in a softer voice as she leaned closer:
“It’s okay Vi. I’ve always wanted to help the people of Zaun. And your sister showed me how I can do it. How best I can help them. All of them.”
Caitlyn’s smile was so soft, but it was also so creepy, because Vi knew it wasn’t her. It was like Caitlyn was smiling, and a part of her didn’t know why. Caitlyn then spoke up in a more serious tone.
“I didn’t want to help plant those bombs in Piltover, but Jinx showed me that it was the only way to change things. I see that now. And I also see, that we can’t be together” Caitlyn said, offering an almost apologetic smile.
Vi felt her eyes burn, as she hated that the last thing she said to Caitlyn, was that they didn’t belong together. Caitlyn was hurt, and then taken by Jinx to have who knows what done to her. And now she was… Vi couldn’t finish the thought. She didn’t care about the bombing, because she knew that the Caitlyn she knew would never be a part of it. It only reinforced how horrifically Jinx must have broken and twisted her. Vi tried to speak up:
“But… but I was wrong. We can be together, we —“ Caitlyn put two fingers over Vi’s lips, gently covering them as she spoke.
“It’s okay, Vi, I know you didn’t mean to hurt me, and maybe we can be together in the future. But only after I’ve finished helping all the people of Zaun. Really helping them.” Caitlyn emphasized the last part, and looked back at Jinx, almost unsure of her words, but Jinx smiled and nodded. Caitlyn then smiled as she stood up and said:
“I have to go, Vi. I have people to help.” Vi grimaced, as she saw another twitch and spasm go through Caitlyn’s body as she finished, and she gave that same strange smile, looking down almost shyly, before turning to Jinx. Jinx then nodded without saying anything and Caitlyn turned to walk out of the room. As Caitlyn did so, Jinx called out to her:
“So, you know what to do cupcake?!” Jinx said with a cackle, as a horrified Vi could only watch, as Caitlyn turned back to look at Jinx and her.
Vi was hoping for some look of misgiving, or defiance, from Caitlyn, but instead Caitlyn replied with a smile, almost as if she were sharing a private joke with Jinx, as she nodded and said:
“Of course, Jinx. I know what to do”.
And with that, Vi could only watch Caitlyn’s figure retreat into the darkness. There was something different about her walk. As if, every time she took a step, she was getting a jolt or shock travel up her. But why? What did Jinx do to her?
She was horrified at seeing what Jinx had done to Caitlyn. This wasn’t the Caitlyn she knew. Jinx had done something to her. Something horrible. She’d broken her. And put her back together in her own twisted image. But to do what? To do —
“She knows what to do, heheh”, Jinx repeated, giggling as she emphasized the ‘what’ of ‘what to do’. She then turned her attention to the captive Vi, and her expression went from malicious to cruel. She then said with a contemptuous voice:
“So, you were gonna dump me for her, huh, sis.” Vi could only stare back, horrified at what Jinx was going to do next.
“Hmmm, well, now that we’ve got the place all to ourselves…”. Jinx said happily as she straddled the bound Vi, who was still looking speechlessly in the direction Caitlyn had walked to, before disappearing into the darkness. Jinx then licked her lips and grabbed Vi’s face in her hands before leaning closer.
“Now, we can reconnect”, Jinx said, a strange, almost hungry look, appearing on her smiling face. She then took out her gun and pointed it at Vi’s head as she motioned Vi to open her mouth by gesturing with her own mouth. Jinx then tossed the gun aside and said:
“Here’s to the new us.” And before Vi could respond, Jinx rammed her face, into Vi’s jamming her tongue into her mouth.
“Mhhph!” Vi’s eyes went wide before she shut them, trying to pull away from Jinx’s grip, but it was no use. Jinx let her tongue flick the insides of Vi’s mouth before she pulled out. As Vi tried to catch her breath, Jinx repeated what she did, and Vi could hear her giggle as she continued. After a few minutes, Jinx sat up, looking down at Vi, her glowing eyes unblinking. Jinx then said:
“That was fun, sis, now, on to the main course!”
Before Vi could ask what she meant, Jinx got off her and grabbed at her pants, laughing maniacally as she undid them. Vi could only grunt in protest, being too out of breath with Jinx’s earlier assault on her mouth. Vi’s eyes then widened as Jinx yanked her pants down past her knees and tore her underwear off. Jinx’s movements were so fast, so unnaturally fast, that Vi could barely register what was happening before Jinx used her strong hands to pry her legs apart and push her head between her legs. Before Vi could react, she felt Jinx’s hot breath against her slit before she felt the cold wetness of Jinx’s lips and tongue pressed against it. Jinx then began pushing her tongue into Vi’s slit, licking it as if she were a dog, and laughing as she did so. Vi cried and moaned, trying to break free, but it was no use. Jinx then stopped and looked up at Vi, Jinx’s face wore a cruel and sadistic smile as she said in an almost playful tone:
“Whoa, you taste good sis, yum yum!” Jinx let out a cackle as she went down on Vi again, her cackle continued as she continued her work. Vi let out a scream, when soon turned to a whimper as she could feel tears coming down her face. The ordeal continued for over an hour before Jinx stopped and straddled her again. Jinx then had an almost kind expression on her face, pouting as she looked at the tears streaming down Vi’s face.
“Aww, sis, don’t be sad, it’s okay. You’ll get used to it. You might even like it,” Jinx said, before the cruel grin returned to her face. She used one hand to gently wipe the tears from Vi’s face. Jinx then turned and grabbed a cupcake from the table before turning back to Vi. She took a bite out of it and let out a smile as she let the crumbs fall from her mouth. She then held it close to Vi’s mouth and said:
“Eat it, sis.” Vi stared in a mix of horror and anger. She tried to turn away, but Jinx grabbed her jaw with one strong hand and forced her to look forward at her. The smile left Jinx’s face as a look of anger now began to emerge behind those glowing eyes.
“Eat it, sis.” Jinx said, in a much more menacing and shaky voice. Vi slumped and swallowed, as she slowly opened her mouth. Jinx then gently pushed the partially eaten muffin into Vi’s mouth as Vi reluctantly took a bite.
“Ohhh, that’s a good girl, see? That wasn’t so bad, was it?” Jinx said, the smile returning to her face.
Before Vi could reply, Jinx pushed it forward again, repeating the motion until Vi had finished the muffin.
“Wow, you really liked that, didn't you sis?” Jinx said mockingly before a cackle escaped her lips.
Vi said nothing, trying to look away. She was still trying to process what was happening. What Powder, what Jinx had become. What she had done. Before she could think more on it, Jinx had turned to grab another cupcake, and forced her to repeat what she did with the first. Vi could only comply, terrified of what Jinx would do to her otherwise. Jinx repeated what she did for 2 more cupcakes before stopping. Jinx then wiped Vi’s lips roughly with a gloved hand before taking a step back and sitting on the table, so that she was facing Vi. Jinx had a mischievous and cruel grin on her face as she stared at Vi, before slowing letting her eyes drift down Vi’s chest to her exposed slit, with her pants roughly pulled down past her knees. Vi stared at Jinx with a mix of anger and fear, but wasn’t sure with was stronger. Jinx’s expression changed to a blank, almost confused one for moment, before the smiled returned. Vi could feel the tears of anger and fear rolling down her face again. Jinx’s expression then turned to one of mock worry as she put her hands together and said:
“Why so sad, sis? We’re together. That’s what you wanted, wasn’t it? We’ll never be apart again, I promise. I’ll make sure no one comes between us again.” Jinx’s voice had a hard edge as she finished, emphasizing her last sentence.
Jinx and Vi just continued staring at each other, the room momentarily lighting up due to the explosions that had shortly gone off in Piltover. Jinx then tilted her head, as if waiting for Vi to reply. Jinx looked confused, but then her expression changed to one of surprise, as if she’d just thought of something. She then clasped her hands together as she spoke:
“Ohhh… I know what the problem is, sis! You miss your ex!”
Vi’s eyes opened as the image of Caitlyn came to her mind. She looked to the doorway, as if expecting Caitlyn to return. Jinx followed her gaze to the doorway and then let out a laugh as she straddled her sister again and said with a mock pout expression:
“Oh, she ain’t coming back sis, Your ex is busy now. Like… super, super busy doing…. stuff.”
Jinx tried to keep a calm smile as she finished, having emphasized those last words. She stared into Vi’s eyes, but then she broke down and started giggling uncontrollably, as if remembering some hilarious joke. The laugh was deranged and eerie, and Vi’s anger was momentarily overcome by her fear once more. Jinx then let out a sigh as her laugh subsided. She then got off her sister and roughly pulled up Vi’s pants, hastily buttoning them before once more wiping the tears from her face. Jinx then turned and grabbed a drink from the crudely put together dinner table behind them and chugged a few gulps before tossing it onto the floor, causing Vi to flinch as she heard the glass break. Vi felt a sense of relief that Jinx had pulled up her pants and put the back on, but was still horrified by what she’d endured at Jinx’s hands. She was trying to process her thoughts before Jinx went behind her and began dragging her chair back towards another doorway. Jinx heard Vi’s gasp and renewed sobs, which caused her to to let out eye roll as she said”
“Oh, don’t be do dramatic, sis. I wasn’t lying when I said your ex was busy, like… super busy…”
Jinx then stopped and turned to grab something before walking in front of Vi, holding something behind her back. She then leaned forward as she spoke:
“…but because I’m such a good sister, I’m gonna take you to see her.”
Vi’s eyes opened, both hopeful at seeing Caitlyn again, and fearful and what what Jinx had meant. She said nothing as Jinx’s malicious smile grew even more sadistic.
Jinx then brought her hand out from behind her, and Vi saw that it was a gas mask. Before Vi could react, Jinx pressed it to Vi’s face and let out a burst of gas. Sleeping gas. Vi’s eye went wide before they rolled up and she passed out.
As she passed out, Jinx tossed the gas mask over her shoulder and quickly untied Vi, tossing her over her shoulder with ease. She then made her way to the doorway, where Caitlyn had left hours before, and said to her unconscious sister with a cackle that she tried to cover with her mouth:
“Can’t wait for you to see her again, sis. You’re gonna be so proud of her, seeing how much she’s gonna be helping the people of Zaun. Helping the people that need her the most.”
Another spasm of laughter mixed with giddiness and excitement left Jinx, as she made her way out of the room with her unconscious sister to see what her ex was up to.
To be continued.
