Inside the temple, the trio came across several doors that were only able to open with Goron might. Apparently not even Twili could lift them, which pissed Chance off a bit. ~It's like they don't even need me!~ he thought sulkily as they rolled over to a ramp and used it to land on the other side of the gap they needed to traverse. His mood worsened as they seemed to be able to beat every enemy with one punch. They even got fire arrows out of a chest that Shadow Ester found, which while they couldn't use these as a Goron, they still managed to use to melt some of the monsters that appeared to be made of ice with them. However, something troubled him about the room that they got the fire arrows. there were strange patterns on the floor, and the room looked like there had recently been a fight before they got there.
"Wait just a minute... Who could have been fighting here? It looks like someone beat the crap out of this room and then just... left the chest untouched." He thought aloud. Shadow Ester shrugged and brushed it off as they went through the rest of the temple. When they finally got to the top of the circular center room, the boss door was already unlocked.
"This is getting stranger and stranger." Chance commented as they entered the room. A huge bull like creature was seen on the opposite side of the circular chamber, preoccupied by what looked like... was that a fairy?

As Goron Ester kept rolling, she could hear Shadow Ester rolling along beside her, which was surprising. That wasn't something she had expected. After rolling through town and past the winding road leading to the massive mountain, Ester skidded to a halt. Standing at full height, she still felt tiny in comparison to the towering dungeon in front of her. But, that was the least of their worries as they went inside. Both Esters soon found that the Goron mask was VERY useful here, as they rolled open large stone doors that blocked their way, as well as the enemies being destroyed with one punch.
Even though all this progress was being made, Ester couldn't help but glance back at Chance every once in a while. He didn't seem too happy. Why in Termina was that? He had one of the best nights of his life earlier, and now he was all grumpy? Unfortunately, she couldn't ask what was wrong because, every time she tried, another monster would pop up or there was another challenge to complete. As much as she wanted to know what was going through the Twili's head, she just didn't have the time.
Soon, they found a room with a single chest. Ester walked up to it and opened it up. She couldn't help but gasp. Inside was a bow and a quiver, filled with arrows. At first, she thought it was some kind of stupid joke. After all, bows weren't hard to come by, and often you could find arrows by just looking around in tall grass, but as soon as she turned back into a human and tried it out on an enemy, she soon realized what they were. Ester arched a brow at Chance's comment, now looking around the room to see what he was talking about. But, it seemed like Shadow Ester didn't want to stop and think about it, so they continued on.
Finally, they were at the boss room door. Ester prepared herself mentally, donning her Goron mask, and rolling the door open with surprising ease. No Boss Key needed? Strange. Suddenly, Ester gasped, taking off her mask quickly. She whipped out the bow and drew a fire arrow, aiming it at the back side of the bull. "Hey! Get away from her!" she shouted, letting the drawstring loose. The arrow flew true, nailing the massive bull, but all that was heard was a clunk, and the large beast whipped its head around, making Ester gulp. "Aww Deku Nuts..."

The beast, assuming it was a beast and not a sentient animal shaped Demon, spun around as the arrow did little to hinder it. Mechanical eyes peered at the three new additions to the room, trying to make up it's mind on who attacked it. Apparently the fairy wasn't very grateful, because it yelled, "Hey bully, I thought you were fighting ME!"
Chance couldn't help but chuckle. "Bull-y! heh, nice pun!" Shadow Ester however had a different reaction. "I know that voice from somewhere... oh crap!" and her complexion turned white as a sheet while her clothes remained black. At this point, the monstrous bull decided to Charge at the motionless and thoroughly shocked form of Shadow Ester. She didn't move out of the way until Chance grabbed her arm and yelled "What's wrong? HE COULD HAVE MAULED YOU!" he shouted as the bull got it's horns stuck in the wall.
She looked at the Demon Goht and swallowed, breathing hard. "Th-that fairy. I know who that fairy is, a-and I hate to say this, but we need to bring her to Link!" The fairy in question suddenly flew over to the trio. "You know Link? Well what are we waiting for, let's get rid of this hunk of mechanical parts and go see him! Uhhh, is the girl in black okay?" She asked, seeing Shadow Ester quake in slight fear and moderate discomfort.

Ester stiffened, seeing the massive beast whip around and stare at the three adventurers. The fairy didn't seem very grateful at all, really, and Chance's amused expression didn't help that they were in the middle of a fight. Ester let out a yelp, jumping to the side as the mechanical bull ran full speed at them, just barely missing.
Being preoccupied with the demon, the real Ester didn't notice what her shadowy counterpart and Chance were up to as she swiftly put away her bow and drew her sword, slashing and hacking at the monster. "Come- ON- Guys!!" she grunted between sword swings, managing to hurt the beast. Already sparks were flying off it, making Ester think the fight was nearly over. Suddenly the horned creature tore its head from the rocky wall, whipping towards Ester. The side of its horns connected with Ester's stomach, sending her flying into the opposite wall. She crumpled as soon as she landed. Goht dug a paw into the ground repeatedly, ready to charge at an unconscious Ester.

Chance whipped his head towards Ester as he heard metal hit bones. when he saw her on the ground unconscious, he lost it. removing his terminan mask, he rushed the bull as it began to charge. The fairy that was with them let out a shocked, "What in the name of the goddesses!" as his hair morphed into a fist and ripped off Goht's horns. He then proceeded to yell curses in Twili and a string of words in shadow speak that Shadow Ester identified as "Nobody kills my future wife you bastard! NOBODY!"
In addition to this, he was mangling the metal of the giant bull in much the same way he had destroyed the black market salesman. Shadow Ester was torn between being shocked and a bit flustered at the words 'future wife' and being in awe of Chance's destructive powers. in the end, she decided on neither and ran up to what was left of the bull. taking out her sword, she waited for just the right moment and used the ending blow on Goht's remaining carcass. Chance was about to mutilate it even more when Shadow Ester shouted, "Chance! get a hold of yourself! It's Dead!"
When he finally calmed down, he ran over to what he assumed was Ester's dead body and shook her. he kept repeating, "Please don't be dead!" Until Shadow Ester reminded him that she would be gone if Ester died.
"Oh... heh heh, I knew that! Good thing I bought some orange potions." He said, grabbing one of the bottles from his subspace. dumping it down Ester's throat, he smiled "Instant recovery from sleep, unconsciousness, and any status that would put you out of it!" he explained.

Slowly, Ester's eyes opened and she licked the excess potion off her lips. "Thanks... For the help on that one guys" she muttered with sarcasm in her voice as she sat up, grimacing and wrapping an arm around her torso where the demon hit. She smirked up at him, glancing over his shoulder at the battered remains. "You went crazy again.... Didn't you?" She muttered, not seeming as shocked as the first time. Of course, the first time, the Goron wasn't aiming to kill her. He was just a pervert.
"Whelp" she said, slowly getting up with the help of the wall. "Let's get out of here". It was pretty obvious that she wasn't entirely ok after that hit. As she wandered over to her sword, she let out a cough. She covered her mouth, feeling something hot and wet splatter on her hand. Seeing the bright red sheen on her hand, she muttered "I don't think a potion is going to heal this..."

Chance saw the blood on Ester's hand and ran (or rather floated) over to the huge lump of metal and started bashing it into even smaller pieces. Shadow Ester, who had also coughed up blood, was at ester's side in an instant. "Are you ok? Here, have a red potion," She said as she pulled out a bottle filled with the red liquid. "It should cure any internal damage." Then she took out another bottle and drank it herself.
The yet to be identified fairy flew over to the two girls. "Is he going to be ok? and for that matter, why were the three of you in here challenging Goht anyway?" she said.
Shadow Ester whipped her head around to stare at the fairy. "We should be asking YOU that! and for that matter, WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN!!!"
This caused Chance to turn his head as Shadow Ester's shouting had shaken the entire room. "Where has who been?" he asked cluelessly.
This caused the fairy to fly a few feet back away from the two girls. "What do you mean? we've never even met! Wait... you two look remarkably familiar for some reason..."

Ester shook her head wearily at Chance as he went to bash the remains of that demon. As if it wasn't dead enough. She wiped the blood off on her dress and downed the potion, feeling her insides grow warm before it faded away. She took in a deep test breath before letting it out. "Ah, that's better. Thanks"
When the fairy approached, Ester arched a brow. "Yeah, how do you know her?" she asked quizzically. However, at the mention of the two looking alike, Ester just gave the winged being a long, hard stare. "She's my shadow..." she muttered, gesturing towards her. This entire time, however, Chance kept bashing at the mechanical carcase, which made a clanging sound that was getting rather annoying. "CHANCE! Stop beating that thing up and let's go see my dad!" she shouted, shaking her head. What a long journey that would be...

"Oh for the love of Farore!" the disembodied voice of the fierce deity shouted. "CHANCE! Will you stop if I talk to Goht, or do I need to restrain you myself?"
Almost immediately, the mask appeared near Goht's remains. this caused the mangled mess of metal unfolded itself and made several sounds that were a mix between a mechanical whirr and a growl.
"What's he saying? I can't understand any of it." Chance stated. The Fierce Deity mask chuckled. "He said he'll help us, but only if you promise not to mangle his circuitry again."
"Oh ha ha! He tried to skewer Shadow Ester, and nearly DID kill Ester! Tell me he doesn't deserve a worse beating!"
"OK, he doesn't deserve a worse beating." the Fierce Deity deadpanned. Chance crossed his arms and let out a huff. "Smartass."
"Wait..." the fairy said, suddenly realizing what Ester meant. "You're the new hero aren't you?" her glow seemed to grow paler. "But that means that she's.... EEEEK! Get Shadow Link away from me!" and she started slamming against the door as if willing it to open by itself.
_______________________________________________________
Ester arched a brow when she heard the fierce diety speak. Wait, Goht wasn't dead? Even after all that? She listened, watching from past the floating fairy. Ester snickered at the mask's snarkiness.
But, when the fairy put two and two together, Ester muttered "oh no..." She shook her head slowly. "No no, Shadow ESTER isn't going to do anything to you. Right? She's here to help me and Chance" She looked over at Chance, who was watching the demon and the mask intently. "Now then, can we pleeeeaaaaasse go and see my father now? From the sound of things, you might want to see him too"

The fairy stopped beating on the door as soon as Link was mentioned again. "Wait, you mean Link KNOWS about you hanging out with this heathen? What the hell is he thinking? Zelda would never approve of this! and for that matter, who's the Imp with the creepy talking mask?"
Chance took offense to this rather quickly. "I am NOT an imp! I'm a Twili, and don't you forget it! as for the mask, there's a rather powerful demon in it, so he pretty much gets to talk if he feels like it. If we tried to do something about it, well, we wouldn't be alive right now!"
"You got that right, beeatch!" The mask responded then it continued with, "So are we going all the way through the mountain temple again, or do you want to use your Twilit magic to get down to the Goron village?"
Chance smirked. "Like you have to ask?" And with that they were all transported down to the foot of the mountain, where the Gorons were once again gathered arond the entrance to their village.
