The trip through the castle was rather uneventful for a while and had Chance curious and worried all at once. He was curious at what was it that made this place dangerous if the Gibdos and Redeads here just danced around them. He was also worried at the fact that Ester still seemed perpetually depressed.
~Why can't I be better at figuring out girls?!?!~ He thought as the room they entered next locked behind them. There were shiny panels on the floor. This time, unlike at Snowhead, they were active. A wizrobe appeared above the nearest panel and shot a ball of flames directly at Ester. Chance jumped in the path and created a wall of twilit energy that seemed to act as a vortex that sucked up the fireball.
"Not gonna happen! Nobody hurts my girlfriend, scumbag!" he shouted. The Wizrobe reacted by making three copies of himself and moving all four of himself around the other panels.
Chance smirked. "You take the ones on the left, I take the ones on the right?" He asked Ester as he got ready to impale the two Wizrobes on the right with hair spikes.

Ester and Chance got through much of the castle with ease, a few monsters here and there, but nothing too eventful. Well, other than the Redead and Gibdos dancing as soon as they saw Ester. Was that some kind of greeting to them, or something? She ignored them and continued on.
While Chance was pondering how he could cheer her up, Ester was more preoccupied with just trying to get through this maze of doorways and puzzles. Yes, the thoughts kept swarming her, but she made sure to push them away as she stepped into a new room, gasping when the door sealed behind them. Too surprised at the door closing, she didn't even notice the fireball approaching until it was nearly upon her. Her eyes wide, she turned her head to see the blinding orb of fiery pain coming straight at her. In an instant Chance was in front of her, and quickly distinguished it before it did any damage.
It took her a few seconds to get moving, but when she did, she nodded briskly, speeding towards the faded beings, her hair already sharp and taunt. With one slash, the fake Wizrobe dissipated, leaving just one more for her. She slashed and it let out a howl, making her grin like a cat. She kept slashing until it turned into a poof of smoke, and she could hear the grinding of the doorways clearing. "Let's go. I'm sure we're almost out of here" she said simply, floating towards the open door.

As Ester had predicted, they were very near the end of the castle's trials. Whether that was good or bad was yet to be decided. As the two exited onto the roof, Chance saw a boarded up section of the roof. Forming a conclusion from what they had seen so far in the main areas of the castle, he formed a fist with his hair. he smashed the wood into splinters, then floated down the hole where the redeads had immediately died in the sunlight. As soon as Ester followed, he noticed something.
"Why is the door to the Boss wrapped in chains and locked? We don't have the key for it! I don't remember anyone saying anything about a Boss Key either. Strange..." He rubbed his chin, deep in thought. They were obviously unable to continue, but those chains weren't rusty. In fact, they looked brand new!
As if on cue, Shadow Ester appeared behind Chance and tapped him on the shoulder. "Do you know what's in there?" She asked him as if hinting that she knew something important.
"Not at all. You?" Chance said as if uninterested in her even being there. She frowned, but answered anyways.
"A certain Deity's power to make a vessel so that he doesn't need the mask you have." pausing, she continued while she examined her nails and Chance started shaking fearfully. "I wonder why Link would lock away the mask with those chains, and not give you the key?!?" She smirked.

Ester watched as he broke through the boards, and floated down with him, satisfied at how the ReDeads burned to a crisp. "Hm... that IS weird now that I think about it..." she muttered, pulling on one of the chains, it rattling noisily.
Out of nowhere, the shadowy being appeared, making Ester rather irritated. Why did she have to appear again? Hadn't she done enough? Ester folded her arms against her chest. "So, what you're saying is either we leave this door locked and let the Twilight engulf everything, or risk the Fierce Deity getting a body and get rid of the Twilight. Personally, I think we need to go get the key from my dad. Maybe we can leave the mask with him..." With a small nod, she looked to Chance. "Now then, how do I do that teleport thing?"

Chance stopped shaking upon hearing Ester actually being interested in how to teleport, instead of being depressed. "It's really simple to do, actually! Think of where you want to be, and snap your fingers. I know it looks complicated, but Twilit magic is pretty simple to use." he turned to Shadow Ester and smirked. "See you, wouldn't wanna be you, bitch!" And with that he snapped his fingers and left.
When Ester had followed, Shadow Ester arched a brow. "What did he mean, wouldn't wanna be you???" she mused. Two seconds later, a piercing screech filled the air, paralyzing her. Redeads began limping towards her, and when she could move again, she shouted "Oh, HELL no!" And began hacking them to pieces.
Chance, meanwhile, appeared just outside Link's house, and put on the Terminan mask. Stretching, he waited for Ester to get to her father's house. That was when a certain Deity decided to talk to him. "You realize that letting me have that power is potentially like giving Majora another moon to drop on the city, right?" It said.
"I know, but you won't do that." Chance answered the disembodied voice.
"And what makes you say that?" It asked, curious why Chance would trust a force that destructive.
"Your Title. You are 'The Good Demon', are you not?" Chance asked, as his memory supplied this to him when he had first made the pact which was now broken.
"Even a Good Demon is a Demon." was the response given.

Chance seemed rather pleased that she wanted to know how to use Twilit powers, which amused her slightly. After all, why wouldn't she want to know? If she was going to be using this form, she aught to know how to use it properly. She nodded at him, then smirked as he left rather rudely towards Shadow Ester. The loud, ear piercing shriek made her hair stand on end, but thankfully, the paralyzing effect didn't seem to work on her on account of the mask somehow placed on top of the Twilit mask. She stared for a long time as ReDeads nearly piled on top of her.
Seeing Shadow Ester could take care of herself here, she pictured her father's lovely little home, and snapped her fingers. The familiar feeling of weightlessness that she had only felt once before, having been teleported by Chance early on in their adventure, soon flooded her body. It was pleasant, though if one were not used to it, it might be terrifying. Finally, she was in front of the house, and glanced over at Chance who seemed to be talking to himself. Or maybe it was the mask...
Remembering the masks, she removed the Gibdo one first, then the Twili one, wincing as her bones lengthened and her head grew smaller. The only issue was, she had removed her normal dress earlier, meaning something rather... unfortunate. Ester turned beet red, and she instantly covered herself with her bag, eyes darting around to see if there were neighbors that had seen. She rummaged quickly through her bag, unfortunately not finding her dress. "Crap crap crap CRAP! Where is it??" she hissed.

Chance noticed Ester removing the Twilight mask, and blushed at her now naked body. as she rumaged through her bag, he also got another erection, thankfully covered by the Tunic he wore as his Terminan form. Unfortunately for everyone present, before Ester got her clothes on, Link, with all his fatherly knowledge, opened the door. To make matters worse, the entirety of the Indigo-Go's were in the living room, along with the four Zora children. The Adult Zoras immediately covered the young one's eyes. Link slapped his own hand over his eyes. "In exactly one minute, I am going to uncover my eyes. If, by that time, Ester is still nude..." he paused. "Chance might need a new arm."
"Goddesses damnit!" She yelped, her whole body red now. In an instant she ran up the stairs to her room and shut the door. "Damnitdamnitdamnit!!" She covered her face in shame. "Uuuuugh" She rummaged through her closet, grabbing the first dress she could find, and pulling it on. She hugged herself, face still hot.
Chance lost his boner immediately. As soon as Ester was upstairs, he pushed Link out of the way and ran after her. before he walked to her room, he turned and yelled down the stairs "Nice move Link! wait'a make this easier on us!"
The Zoras all looked at link in a 'what's your problem. is that any way to greet your daughter' way as Chance entered her room.
"Ester? Ester! are you alright, or do you need to talk about it?"
Ester exhaled, shaking her head slowly. "No no I'm fine. Just extremely embarrassed is all..." Eventually she opened the door. "Let's just talk to my dad and get out of here before something ELSE happens."
