Hello everyone. Thanks for the reviews, I really love reading them and the criticism is fabulous! I love nothing more then someone helping me out. It means they like me, or at least my story. So many questions arise and some are answered! Sort of. Now reviews!
Talltree-san: I know what you mean. I do feel bad for what I am putting Riku through, but his future might get better. :3 Though might also might not.Akaku: I shall write more. This story is always on my mind and I am constantly working on it in my head and on paper. I'm super glad you like it and love that you can imagine this like a movie. Thank you very much and enjoy the rest of the chapters. :3Annïkkä Thank you so much for the review and the advice. There's just so much I want to have happen it's hard to not just try and get to a certain part. I will work hard on putting in more detail and slowing it down a little in the next few chapters. I do hope that you enjoy this one. :3Darkness surrounded Riku. He was floating through it, unthinking, unfeeling. The darkness was dragging him down further. A chill ran through his body, as if he was in ice water. He was content, but very cold.
Why am I so cold?
As he thought this, something drew his attention away. It was a small prick of light, very high above him, shining down through the darkness onto him. It was warm and heated the parts of his body that it touched. Riku yearned for that warmth so he tried to reach for it, but his body felt like there were hundreds of weights on it. Still that light called to him and continued to struggle to get to it.
As he drew closer he felt the weight’s start to disappear and his body warm. Finally his whole body was encompassed in the light and it warmed every inch of him. Still he struggled to get to the source, wanting to hold that warmth to him, and when he finally thought he had reached it he felt his feet meet something solid. A blinding flash of light made Riku put his hands over his face, trying to cover himself from the overwhelming brightness. After a few minutes it faded and he lowered his hands. He found himself to be standing in a large, white room. Everything was white inside of that room, even the furniture. It was way to white for Riku’s taste and it reminded him of something, but he couldn’t put his finger on it.A movement from behind him caused him to turn around. Sitting a white chair, looking out through a large window, was Sora, his back turned to Riku, but his mess of spikes giving him away.Riku smiled and pulled Sora’s head against his chest.
“They’re tears of joy. I missed you. H-How is this even possible?”Sora tilted his head. He looked up at Riku in confusion.“How is what possible?”Riku smiled and stroked his love’s cheek before lightly nuzzling his face. He was holding Sora as close to him as possible and he could feel the smaller man moving against him. “You, alive. I thought you had--”Riku suddenly felt crushing lips against his and he jumped, startled by the sudden attack. Sora was franticly kissing him, as if it was their last moment together. Riku kissed Sora back, the same kind of fervor coming over him. As they ravished each others mouths, Riku ran a hand down Sora’s back, running a finger below his pants line. Sora pressed himself closer to his husband, his arms wrapping around his neck.As Sora pressed his heart against Riku’s, deepening the kiss they were sharing. Riku suddenly felt a sharp stab in his heart. It was extremely painful and he couldn’t stop himself from flinching away and groaning in pain. Sora watched in horror as Riku doubled over and clutched at his chest.“Ugh! S-Sora!”Sora rushed to his side, confusion written across his face. He was stroking Riku’s silvery locks, trying to comfort him as much as he could.“Riku? What’s wrong? What’s happening?”Riku smiled weakly up at a panicked Sora. Their moment had been ruined by his weak heart, of course. He leaned up and captured Sora‘s lips in a loving kiss, it was almost like a sad good-bye.“I guess…I’ll be joining you soon. My heart isn’t as strong as I thought. Ha ha.”Sora’s eyes widened even more and then Riku felt something give way underneath him. He looked down to see the floor disappearing from under him. He clutched at Sora, but couldn’t help but start to slip. With a cry of anguish Sora gripped tightly to Riku, trying to keep him with him. Riku kept getting sucked under by a strong force. They struggled until he was barely holding onto Sora’s fingers. Sora kept calling his name, but he could barely understand it, the pain causing him to lose his senses as well. The last thing he heard was his love calling out his name. It was glorious.“RIKU!”“Riku! Hey Riku, wake up you lazy bum!”
Riku’s eyes fluttered open and he looked around confused. Above him was white lights and ceiling. He felt something weird in his right arm and he was very, very tired. He looked around wondering where his Sora was, then he saw a very familiar, very woman face staring down at him.“Kairi?”He said, thoroughly confused. She glared down at him and flicked his nose.“Who else? Geez, you had me scared there for awhile. The doctors thought you were in a coma.”Riku was even more confused now. What the hell had happened? Oh yeah, his dream. Was it really a dream or was it Sora’s spirit? Either way his heart suddenly felt like it got stabbed again. Kairi jumped a little as a pained expression came on Riku’s face and the machine that connected to his heart started to beep like crazy."Eh? Riku are you okay?"A nurse ran in, wondering what was going on. When she saw that Riku was awake she ran over, pressing a button for additional help as Riku clutched at his heart. Kairi was escorted from the room as two nurses administered some type of needle into his I.V. and tried to calm him down while a doctor stood by and watched his stats. When Riku was finally able to calm down and the pain subsided from his heart the doctor walked over.“Hello Mr. Yamagachi. My name is Dr. Auron. How are you feeling?”The first impression that Riku got of the doctor was that he was very intimidating. He was very tall and bulky, his right eye was scarred shut and he wore sun glasses that didn’t really seem to be covering his eyes. His had some grey streaks in it and it seemed the black that was in there was getting lighter. His voice was also very quite, but sounded extremely rough and almost condescending. It also seemed, somewhere in that cold stare, there was lingering pain. Apparently Riku had been studying the man for to long without saying anything because he raised an eyebrow. Riku looked to the ground, embarrassed that he had stared for to long. It really had been a long time since he had interacted with anyone other then Axel and he wasn’t really good at it. “Umm…I think I’m feeling fine. Dr. Auron, what happened?”The Dr. came over and shined a small light in his eyes, watching as his eyes followed them. He then put it away and stood up, looking bored. “You had something similar to a heart attack, though that isn’t really what it was. It was a mild attack, but it seems, looking at your medical history, that this is the first time it has happened, other then the attack you had shortly after you woke up. You have been asleep for three days, but your vitals are fine.”Riku nodded, letting the man know he understood. He had a pretty good idea of why he had the attack, but he wasn’t going to start telling this man why. He didn’t think he would really understand. The Dr. studied him for a few minutes before continuing.“We’re going to keep you here for a few days, make sure nothing else happens, and then your free to go Mr. Yamagachi.”Riku wasn’t excited about the prospect of staying in a hospital more then he needed. He wanted to return to his island and continue the rest of his miserable existence in peace. The doctor left and immediately after Kairi walked in. She had longer hair then he remembered and was wearing a business suit. Riku tried to remember when she had gotten a job, but it had been to long for him to really remember. Three years was a long time. Kairi sat down next to him and was looking intensely at him.“So what’s wrong?”Riku pointed to his heart. He was surprised at how weak he actually felt, lifting his arm was difficult and he was slightly embarrassed by it.“My heart apparently is doing some weird stuff. Other then that I’m fine.”Kairi just nodded, said a few words of apology and an awkward silence fell over the two. Riku wondered how she knew he was there. He didn’t think he put her down as a contact, he was pretty sure it was still Sora and his mom. Had Axel changed it? Riku was trying to not think about the years he had been apart from his best friend, but it was apparent in the way the two acted.“Hey Kairi.”Kairi looked at her old best friend. Just three years and they could hardly talk to each other. It really hurt her. She had had a hard time dealing with it to, and she didn’t just lose Sora. Nope, since Riku disappeared too she lost both of her best friends. And now Riku felt and looked like a broken stranger to her.“Yeah Riku?”Riku stared at the woman. If he had been straight he would’ve found her very attractive. She had long, reddish-brown hair that swept down her shoulders. She was thin, but healthy and had a very nice body. Her eyes were a sea blue, close to Sora’s color, but more commanding and mature. She had a full pair of soft pink lips and smooth, soft skin that felt nice to touch. She was a lot different then the care-free girl he used to know. That girl had disappeared after three years alone. And she had to suffer all alone, Riku didn’t like that.He had suffered alone by choice, but she didn’t even have another best friend to greave with her over the best friend she lost. Plus the only person he had contacted since he left was Axel. She was probably worried sick. Guilt over what he had done to his friend washed over him and he hung his head in shame.“I…I’m sorry.”Kairi watched as a defeated look came in Riku’s eyes. She could tell he felt sorry for what he had done, but she understood, a little. She smiled and then fake-glared at him, hoping he would look up and laugh so she didn‘t start crying. He hadn’t looked at her face, but when he glanced up he could see a hand coming down over him. He was shocked, thinking she was going to hit him, though he did deserve it. He braced himself for the impact, but it never came. He looked up curiously and saw big tear drops streaming down Kairi’s face and her hand suspended in air.Riku’s eyes widened and he looked around, wondering if someone was watching them. Kairi had cried before, but Sora was more sensitive to that stuff and Riku had been the silent supporter, not the comforter. It took Riku a few moments before he could actually do something. He wrapped an arm around her and held her to his chest. Kairi’s eyes widened. Riku stroked her hair like he had seen Sora do so many times.“It’s okay. I won’t leave for so long again.”Kairi started utterly bawling at this point. Riku kind of freaked out. He wasn’t good with women, they cried to much and he had no idea what to do with a crying woman. He tried to think of something else, since apparently saying that didn’t work. He decided that he would just let her cry her eyes out on his chest since whatever he did would probably just turn out worse. Twenty minutes later Kairi lifted her head off of Riku’s now soaked chest and looked at him, sniffling and rubbing her nose.“You’re a jerk.”Riku would’ve thought she was totally serious had she not broken into a small smile. He smiled, feeling that ease that people who’ve been best friends since they were five coming back between the two of them. “If I wasn’t a jerk then you’d have to be and we all know your nothing but an angel.”Kairi sniffled and laughed, nodding her head in agreement.“Damn straight.”After finding Kairi a few tissues the two got into talking. Apparently Kairi had kept in contact not only with Aerith, but also his mother. Not a whole lot had changed, though Aerith was in constant state of sadness. She was good at hiding it, but nothing could completely hide the pain. Kairi laughed, though it was laced with dark humor, when she said this.“She’s almost as bad as you, only she didn’t run off to some freaking island.”Riku’s brows knitted together. He never told Kairi he was on an island. How the hell did she know? She had gone back to talking, but he stopped her.“How did you know I was on the island?”She had an are-you-really-serious look on her face and Riku just nodded, wanting to know how she found his secret out. If she knew then maybe his dad did and that would mean endless trouble for him.“Really? Fine, Axel told me. I pretty much had to beat him to hell and back for him to spill it. I know he’s resourceful so I kind of figured he knew where you where.”Riku just nodded and let her continue, making a mental note to kill the red-head later. After Riku had been fully updated about everything that had happened in his three year absence, him and Kairi fell into a comfortable silence, Riku going over everything in his mind while Kairi soaked in her new sense of happiness. After awhile Riku looked over at Kairi.“So how did you know I was here? Axel?”Kairi laughed and scratched the back of her head.“No, not Axel. Remember my sister, Naminé? Well I had to take her for her check-up and I saw you laying here and freaked out. I’ve been visiting you every day since I found out. Which is pretty much two days.”Riku nodded, remembering Naminé from their childhood. She was always sick so she didn’t go to the island very often. She was a sweet girl and he had gotten along well with her. Kairi suddenly smiled, as if remembering something. Though the look made Riku uncomfortable.“So, Riku. Got any boy-toys?”Riku looked at her with a very confused and bewildered look. Boy-toys? What in flying fuck was that and why did she think Riku would even consider having something like it? Besides he had been on an island with no one other then himself and Axel didn’t really make his blood pump.“Umm…Can’t say I do.”Kairi laughed evilly, leaning forward, there was a predatory gleam in her eyes.“Lies!”Riku looked at her like one would look at a crazy person.“Seriously, I don’t have any…”Boy-toys”.”Kairi shook her head leaning back in her seat. She didn’t look convinced at all. She was staring at him with great suspicion. “No one blonde? Short? Sexy and young?”Riku was just as confused as before. Who the hell was she talking about? He didn’t start up some weird relationship while he was passed out did he? Had he been raped like in jail? Was she not telling him that?“Uh…No.”Kairi tilted her head, a confused look now crossing her face.“Then who were the nurses talking about earlier. They said some guy came and checked up on you every day.”Riku shrugged, just as confused as she was. Demyx, maybe? Though Demyx would’ve told Axel and Axel would’ve beaten his ass for running out on him. Besides Demyx wasn‘t sexy. Riku thought about everyone he knew, but no short, blonde, sexy, young guy came to mind.“I guess I’ll tell you if he comes again. I’d like to know who he is too.”Kairi nodded and then a loud beeping came from her purse. She practically flung herself out of the seat to get it and Riku raised an eyebrow. Weird. She fumbled with it for a minute before picking up, sounding both embarrassed and flustered.“Hello? Oh hey. Yeah I’ll be there in five minutes. Uh-huh.”A fierce blush suddenly came across her cheeks and she turned away from Riku before whispering something that sounded like “I love you too”. Riku smirked as she hung up and folded his arms.“Who was that?”Kairi tossed her phone in the bag and refused to make eye contact.“I don’t know what your talking about.”She said getting up. Riku’s grin widened. So she was in love. That worked for Riku, though it brought back some unwanted memories of when Sora and him started to go out. They had tried to hide it from their female friend, and everyone else, but it didn‘t last long. Two horny middle school guy‘s making out in the bushes of the school yard didn‘t really go unnoticed.“I have to go. I…I’ll tell you about it later so don’t disappear.”She then exited the room, waving. Riku smiled, wondering when the wedding was going to be. He hoped it didn’t end up badly. Kairi needed a man to fill her life. Riku lay his head back down and stared at the ceiling, sleep coming over him as his green eyes fluttered shut.Roxas had to resist. He couldn’t go there all the time, it would look weird. He didn’t even know the man and he hadn’t even found his name out until someone identified him. Riku. God it was such a sexy name, he loved it, but the man was an enigma.
Roxas nervously paced back and forth in front of the hospital. He had gotten even more nervous after he found out a woman was visiting him. Was it his wife? His sister? His secret lover? Roxas had no idea. He had a wedding ring on, but it was on his right finger so did that mean he was married or something? Roxas had never known because he never thought of getting married. Had the hand thing changed? It plagued Roxas’s mind constantly. And the worst thought was what if he wasn’t gay. What if he was homophobic? What would Roxas do then? He was more attracted to that man then he had been to anyone he had ever met before, but what if he hated him for it? Roxas didn’t know what to do.After awhile Roxas decided he would just head in there to see how he was doing. You never know, maybe he woke up or something. Roxas didn’t need to jump the sexy guy. With a new found determination Roxas walked into the hospital and into Riku’s room to find the man the exact same way he had left him. A sleep and unmoved. He sighed and sat down next to the bed. Him defenseless with nothing but a hospital gown on made it hard not to strip him down and have his way with him while he slept. He sat there for fifteen minutes before he went to stand up. Staring at the guy and imagining what he wanted to do with him wasn’t exactly a good idea when he was in a hospital. Suddenly a small groan sounded from the bed and he froze and looked over at him.“Huh?”Riku’s eyes had squinted and then they slowly opened to stare up into the face of a dream. Roxas watched as the man’s eyes widened to the size of plates, but couldn’t understand why. Was he that surprised to see a stranger in front of him?“Umm…Hi?”Riku sat up slowly, warily. Maybe he thought Roxas was some kind of freak going to kill him or something. He decided introductions were in order before he started yelling for the nurses. “Hi, I’m Roxas. I…Um…I saved you after you passed out in the alley way. Um…Yeah.”Riku didn’t move, only stared hard at the boy. He couldn’t believe that someone who looked exactly like Sora was standing before him. And his name was Roxas too! Riku felt like he was in some twilight zone thing. He felt like he was going to pass out from the sheer shock of it all.As his mind reeled as it started to piece together the things he hadn’t understood before. So this must be the person those punks had confused Sora with and this man was the reason Sora was dead, but how could he look so much like his deceased beloved? Another thought came to him as he stared at the boy who was looking very uncomfortable. What if this was that “missing half”? What if he was the person they were supposed to be meeting? It would make sense, but what the hell was he doing here? He had saved him? What kind of sick fucking joke was God playing on him. What, was his life not fucked up enough? After a long pause and a lot of thinking Riku nodded. He decided he would become close with him. It would be awkward at first, he still wasn’t very good at communicating with others yet and he had to some how make up an excuse as to why he wanted to be around him without scaring him off.Riku couldn’t help feeling, somewhere in his broken heart, that this was like betraying Sora and also that this was sick and wrong and nothing good could come out of it. He would probably end up getting hurt and hurting Roxas. Still he was selfish. He wanted him and he was going to have him. Maybe he had lost it.“Hello Roxas, my name is Riku.”Roxas blushed furiously when Riku talked. His voice was so sexy and made him want to the jump him even more then he already wanted to. He just forced a smile, trying not to hide his face from him.“H-Hi Riku.”Roxas could tell, just in the way that he looked at him, that the man felt something too. It made his heart flutter and hope rose in him. Maybe he could be with the man he saved. Maybe he could be with Riku, the sexiest guy he had ever seen.Axel was pissed. No, pissed wasn’t the right word, livid was the right word. Axel was livid and then some. First Riku disappears. Then he has to tell his boss, Riku’s dad, that he disappeared, that was a fun conversation to have. And lastly he found out that Riku didn’t take his car, oh no, it got stolen and was used in a freaking bank robbery! Now Axel was sitting in jail while they tried to confirm his alibi and verify that it got stolen. And to top all of that loveliness he finds out that they found his beautiful car in a chop shop and it was completely ruined. They had stripped everything, those fuck-tards. They were so freaking dead!
Riku was so dead. He was going to rip that no-good-son-of-a-bitch up limb from limb and make him eat the remains. He was going to disembowel him, burn his annoying fucking house down and make sure all of Sora’s stuff was in it. Oh that man was going to get it.“My car!”Axel wailed. The policemen who were watching Axel rolled their eyes and looked at each other.“How long is he going to do that?”The other one shook his head and shrugged.“No fucking idea, but next time he does let’s shoot him in the foot. They both laughed and Axel glared at them. Yup, Riku was going to die, right after he burned the police station down.“Vexen! Vexen!”
The blonde man looked up from his book, his calm face emotionless as he looked at one of his assistants. He was wearing a white lab coat with some black pants and a white, button up shirt underneath. He had just taken a break from his job as the Organization’s top scientist when one of his lackey’s came sprinting towards him. He stood up and looked at the man.“Yes?”The man gasped for breath while trying to relay his message to Vexen.“I-I…I mean….H-He! He..!”Vexen twitched slightly, but patiently waited as the man caught his breath.“He showed….showed major brain activity!”With that Vexen stood up and quickly walked off to one of the deepest rooms in the Organization, leaving his assistant behind. He flashed a card to let himself into several different corridors, all white and all with different paths leading to a very confusing maze. After a few minutes Vexen ended up in a large room filled with machines and about three other scientists in lab coats. It looked as if it was once an interrogation room, it was walled with once-sided mirrors that looked into a large, white room furnitured with a white bed, a white dresser, a white table and a single white chair faced towards a large window that was covered with white curtains. Sitting in the white chair was a man. Vexen stared at the man and then looked at the messed up bed. “When did he move?”The man closest to him was the first to speak. “He started to show an increase brain activity this morning, but we over-looked it. It has been increasing as the day progresses and he just moved after Ron went to get you. He hasn’t said anything.”Vexen nodded. On one of the many machines sat a microphone. Vexen pushed a button next to it and cleared his throat. The man in the white room slowly turned his head to stare at the mirror, his gorgeous blue eyes lifeless, but intelligence behind them. Finally Vexen spoke clearly and loudly into microphone.“Sora?”While AFF and its agents attempt to remove all illegal works from the site as quickly and thoroughly as possible, there is always the possibility that some submissions may be overlooked or dismissed in error.
