Hey guys, sorry I haven't updated for SO long, 'Cause you know, Collage is a bitch and I've been moving again, twice. Plus I've been lazy as hell. So here it is, enjoy!
P.S. I have changed some things in the other chapters like (Garret to Garrett) and (Hawk to Hawke)
Garrett stood in a fighting pose getting ready for the oncoming attack. He knew that he wouldn't lose to him, but now that the Arishok was watching, made things a tad bit harder. The Gray skinned male had always had great expectations of him, and if he showed him even the slightest sign of vulnerability, then he would end of disappointing him. Oddly enough, he didn't want that to happen. What the hell was wrong with him!
Garrett was so lost that he almost didn't see the attack, but thankfully, he did and made the slightest move to the side, causing his opponent to fall to his face. "Your movements are far too sloppy; you will NOT be able to land even one hit on me. Give up now and leave this place, if you do as I ask, I'll let you live". His opponent was now seething in fury. Never in his live had he been so humiliated. He screamed from the top of his lungs "NEVER!" and charged. Garrett dodged and swiftly kicked him behind the knees, causing them to buckle underneath him. Hawke walked up to him and stepped on his sword "It's over, admit your defeat". The man looked up "My answer is and will remain the same".
Garrett walked behind him and lifted the empress blade above his head. He swung down, but right before the blade made contact with his neck, Hawke twisted the sword around so that he hit with the back of the blade. The man fell unconscious to the ground. Hawke turned and walked back to where he came from, but stopped right in front of Fenris and the Arishok, turned his head back towards the mercenaries "Leave, and take him with you. If you return, your death will be the only thing waiting for you." The mercenaries scrambled to their employee, grabbed him, and disappeared.
Fenris looked at Hawke "Why didn't you kill him?" Garrett walked past him "I don't kill men that don't have a sword or are on the ground. You should know that better than anyone". Fenris couldn't argue with that, and followed his companion.
Hawke and Fenris were sitting inside the tent where the Tamassrans lived. They had sat there for over 5 hours and the Tamassrans had taught them much, and since Garrett could memorize anything he heard, made it so much easier. They made their way to their own tent.
Garrett knew Fenris wanted to ask him why he didn't kill his opponent, the 'real' reason. But the truth was he didn't entirely know himself. If it was the guilt for not being able to save the City of Kirkwall or if it was something else, but what it was, he couldn't put his finger on.
Somehow Garrett knew that he was changing, but if it was for the better or for the worse, he didn't know.
"Hawke I have thought about what I want to do in the service to the Qun. I have decided to become anArvaarad." Fenris stated.
Hawke turned towards Fenris "A what?" He asked.
"Arvaarad. It means 'One Who Holds Back Evil'; It's a Qunari who watches over the saarebas (Qunari mages) and hunts Tal-Vashoth. I want to work with my hate for mages to help with their cause. You know better than anyone that I will never let a mage out of my sight." Fenris was now looking at Hawke right in the eyes.
Hawke could only let out a sigh "I understand, and I'll support you all the way through." He said, putting his hand on Fenris's shoulder.
"Thank you, Hawke." Fenris said, putting his hand on Hawke's shoulder. "We should get something to eat, but know that we have to get our own food, since we are not with the Qun yet."
"Haven't we done that by ourselves for a long time now." Garrett asked in a teasing tone. Fenris could only smiled.
"I'll go and catch some animals, you go get some fruits." Garrett told Fenris.
Fenris gave a nod, and went his way. Garrett also stod and made his way to the hills where he saw some animals the days before. He made his way to some bushes and hid himself. The bushes had strong scents, thus masking him completely. After a couple of minutes, a big fat boar came walking from its hiding place. It looked around for a while before begining to eat, and slowly making his way toward Hawke.
Hawke had a medium-sized knife in his hand, ready to jump out at any minute. The boar came closer and closer, and when it was about to bite into the lush leaves from the bush, Garrett jumped out and stabbed it into its neck. The boar trashed for a minute before falling into death's embrace. Hawke Pulled his blade out and dried the blood on the lush grass, leaving the blade clean before re sheating it into its holster. He then proceeded to carry the boar back to the camp.
Fenris was already there when he finally made it back. He had gathered many different kinds of fruit from potatoes to apples. Where he found those, don't ask. The dinner that night was a better one they had, had for a long time.
And that it for now. Sorry It took so long to update :P This chapter was A little shorter than the others before, so sorry DX
