Patrick’s Return the Final installation.
The day he left she arrived at work with tears in her eyes. “What’s wrong Rach?” Lisa asked with great concern.
“He’s gone.” she said.
“What? He left you? You two were good together what happened?”
“No, he didn’t leave me but he’s gone.”
“Ok hon, you’re confusing me, you have to explain what’s going on.” She took a deep shuddering breath and explained the whole thing to Lisa, as she drew the story to a close a look of understanding formed on Lisa’s face. “Oh honey don’t worry he’ll be back.” Lisa said giving her a hug.
THREE MONTHS LATER
Rachael got a text I’ll be home tonight at six! She let out a squeal of delight, Lisa leaned back looking around the corner at Rachael. “You OK?”
“He’s coming home today.” She said in delight.
“That’s great!” Lisa cries back.
“Audino.” She heard off to her left.
“You done?”
“Dino.”
“Ok, we’re done then.” Moments later she got a text from Patrick’s parents telling her they were going to meet him when he got off the plane and she should join them so they could all go to dinner together. She replied and was anxious until it was quitting time.
She took off a bit early so she could go home and clean-up, it had been a long hard day and she had been going for most of it. She got the airport at a little before six on her scooter, and immediately saw Patrick’s parents waiting outside. She walked up to join them. She hadn’t seen him for three months but with his parents she had to dress conservative. She had on a green dress that came to just below her knees and it wasn’t that low cut.
“I’m guessing he’s not here yet.” she said as she got closer.
“No, but it’s still early.” Rachael mentioned she had taken off work early and about the long day she had, as they were talking Patrick walked up behind them and just stood there listening with a smile on his face. No one seemed to notice him.
He finally said “Are y’all waiting for anyone?” the talking stopped immediately and they all spun around. His parent’s pulled him into a hug and Rachael with great restraint gave him a hug and a lite kiss. They then noticed the round rock that was standing immediately behind him Patrick stepped to the side when he noticed the looks. “Ah I see you noticed Golem.” He stood a little over three feet high. He was a bluish color and looked to be made of stone he also had two straps that crossed his chest with a crest in the center, his head was another rock set atop his body and two weird glowing formations on the face, its eyes. “I’ll explain his presence at the restaurant, I’m starving.” They all climbed into the car and headed to the restaurant, since they had made reservations they were seated almost immediately.
“So you were going to explain the Golett.” Rachael asked.
“It was a field trip, I guess that what you would call it. They had a tower similar to the Celestial Tower. Well there is huge empty field that surrounds it. We went there to demonstrate our ability to catch a Pokémon. You see all the Pokémon in the park have a poké ball so none can be stolen by people and we were told that newborns can be rambunctious and since they don’t have a poké ball yet we have to give them one. So we went to demonstrate our skill. It took all day, there were several of us and we each had to try. I got him on the first try, Pawniard wasn’t in the mood to let me catch, he was a bit wild out there. But I told him to yield he didn’t like it but he listened. We didn’t have to name him but I think there were some extra points from the teachers that were watching.” Patrick finished.
“Wow sounds like you had a great time.” Rachael commented.
“That was the only time we got out of the class room. Well the only time we weren’t being taught something in the classroom we were on the park, we spent a lot of time watching the Rangers and listening to them telling us what they have to do day to day. Also learned a bit of first aid, and if you will help me with that, before I go in for the final test I’ll have a better chance of getting one of the positions.” He said directing the first aid part to Rachael.
“I was told by one of the instructors that my marks put me in the top bracket of applicants.” He added casually. “Very few others caught their Pokémon on the first try. One guy that had a type disadvantage got it quicker than anyone; the instructors were very impressed with him.” When they finished they headed back to the airport so Rachael could get her scooter. She said good bye and got out.
His dad turned to him and nodded to the door saying “Go with her.”
“What?”
“We will talk to you tomorrow but you can talk to her tonight.”
“Alright I’ll see y’all tomorrow.” He said getting out. “Hey Rachael.” He called as they left Rachael looked up and saw the car leave and Patrick walking to her.
“What are you still doing here?” she asked. “They told me to go with you and I didn’t argue.” He said with a grin. An evil grin appeared on Rachael’s face.
“Let’s get home.” She said.
They were at her apartment in record time. She was slipping off the shoulder straps of her dress as she walked down the hall.
“Hang on we have all night” he said.
“And morning.” she added again with that grin.
“I want a shower before anything anyway.” he said.
“Ah dang I already took one.” she said with a childish pout hiding her true thoughts.
“How about you join me anyway.” he said. She just grinned. He released all his Pokémon into the apartment they had been cooped up almost three months. They needed to stretch their wings, literally in Rufflet’s case. He then proceeded to the bathroom and stripped down and stepped in the shower followed by Rachael. He let the water run over him she grabbed the soap and started to lather it up then started rubbing it slowly on his back from top to bottom real slow. Then she went up his neck and got his face and down to his chest. He was rock hard at this point. She stopped at his stomach and started on his butt and down his legs careful to avoid the area she really wanted to touch most of all. Finally she could avoid it no more she slipped the soap from the back between his legs and started stroking it. He nearly lost it right there. She was a master at teasing. She stopped and put the soap away got out the shampoo and poured it in her hand started to massage his head. She finished with that he turned around and they were locked in a passionate kiss.
She pushed him away. “Sit down” she commanded. He did as she asked. She kneeled over him water hitting her on the back and him in the face. He started to massage her breasts, she was moaning at this. She was going down just far enough that his dick was barely touching her pussy. He thrust up the next time she did this but she was ready and pulled away again. “Tell me how much you want it.” She said in a breathy highly aroused voice.
“I’ve been missing you since I left, I need you now.” he said and with that she impaled herself on him and viciously bounced up and down on his dick. Finally he couldn’t hold it anymore. “Here it comes.” he said, she slammed down on him and cried in pleasure. As they both released. She collapsed forward on him wrapping her arms around him.
“I love you so much.” she said.
“I love you too, you have no idea how much I missed you. It was terrible. Every day I thought of just saying fuck it and coming home to be with you. But I knew you wouldn’t want me to do that, so I stuck it threw.” They both got up, rinsed off, and got out. They ended up on the couch just laying together.
“You said some guy had a type disadvantage in his fight what did he have?”
“He had a Krokorok, and he came across Lilligant.”
“How did he win?”
“It never hit him. We couldn’t even see his Pokémon move, we only saw it when it stopped and that wasn’t a lot, he had no trouble, it obeyed every command almost like it could read his mind, it was so fast, it was impressive. His name is Greg, we got to talking after his fight, I meet him on the plane. He thinks Krokorok is close to evolving but he’s not sure, he said he’s had him since it was an egg. Oh one guy had a Conkeldurr he crushed his opponent eventually.”
“Eventually?”
“Yeah, his Pokémon was a bit slow so the Tranquill he was fighting had an advantage, but it swung one of its pillar’s at the last second and caught Tranquill full body, it was done.”
“If you were in a field how did you get rocky over there?” she said gesturing to Golem who was lounging against the wall.
“There were several caves in the small mountain range around us and I guess he came from one of them.” He replied with a hint of puzzlement. He reached for his pack and pulled out his Pokédex. “Let’s see what Dex has to say on the subject.” He pointed it at Golett and pushed the button.
“Golett the Automaton Pokémon. They are thought to have been created by the science of an ancient and mysterious civilization. The energy that burns within enables it to move. No one has been able to identify the energy.”
“Well that certainly makes things less clear.” They both laughed. “On another note you mentioned a hard day. What happened?”
“Oh well head nurse is a lot more work.” She said in aloof off-hand way.
“Head nurse? When did that happen?”
“Well it was about the time you helped me catch Audino.” She continued in the offhand manner.
“Well that’s great…wait a minute that was a long time before I left.”
“Well that’s what lead to it but it was when I got Audino back. Since I’m the only one of the girls with one, I was promoted!” She cheered unable to suppress her joy anymore. “And it’s all thanks to YOU!” she cried grabbing him into a lung crushing hug. “Well it’s getting late we should go to bed.”
“I am a little tired.”
“I didn’t say anything about sleep” she said as she turned and headed to the bedroom.
He woke up the next morning with Rachael laying on top of him. She was already awake, when she saw his eyes open she started to rock back and forth, he realized she had been fucking him in his sleep. He was deep inside her and she was losing it.
“You get started without me?” he panted and she sped up.
“Only enough to wake you up.” She replied with heavy breathing. She rose up so she was sitting and started pounding up and down on him, her breast bouncing up and down. Patrick reached up and grabbed them and squeezed them again and again she went off and came all over his dick buried inside her. “OH GOD!” she cried out as she shuddered. When she came down from the high she started again bouncing up and down again. He pulled her breast down to him and she pounded away. He sucked on her tits, one, then the other, both at the same time. He was close but as she was sent over the edge once again by the added excitement of breast play he came with her. This time she collapsed on top of him unable to hold herself up anymore. “Great way to wake up” she whispered.
“You’re telling me.” he replied. He could feel the smile on her face as they lay there together. She slid down his chest till she was eye level with his dick, which she proceeded to lick clean.
“I’m going to take a shower” she said. As she began to rise.
“Oh no you don’t.” He said pulling her back down and getting between her legs. He tongue fucked her until she came again all over his face screaming in the process.
“You didn’t meet another girl there did you?” She questioned when she had recovered.
“Well actually yes I did.”
“What?”
“She was in my class, several were, about ten. Clarisse, Alexandria, she prefers Alex, Jessica who prefers Jess, Britney, need I go on? But Alex and Jess are the ones I got to know the most, they was my partners.”
“Partners?” Rachael said with a dangerous tone.
“Not like that, they put us together on several of our projects so I had to work with them.”
“Do they look better than me?” she asked.
“No, she was tall and blonde, I don’t like blonde hair as much as red and brown.” He said.
“I’m going to take that shower now.” she said again realizing he didn’t mention the second girl’s looks.
When he got done with his shower he made his way to the kitchen. “So what are we going to do today?” She asked drinking her coffee.
“I want to relax for a while; I’ve been going nonstop for the last three months.” He grabbed a cup of coffee and headed to the couch in the living room. She followed. They watched a couple of game shows until lunch time rolled around. “You got anything here for lunch?”
“No I’ve been a wreck since you left I haven’t been able to shop.”
“Liar, you never have anything for lunch.” He said as a huge grim broke over her face.
“I guess we have to go out for lunch.” She replied. They both got dressed into some comfortable clothes grabbed their Pokémon and headed for The Deli.
“I have been looking forward to one of their subs. They are the best.”
They were waiting in line when from behind him Patrick heard “Hey Patrick, I didn’t know you lived in the city.” Said the voice. He turned and saw Greg. He was a short guy about Rachael’s size with a buzz cut an average build and he was wearing his glasses today.
“Hey Greg how you doing?”
“Long line huh?”
“Yeah it’s not usually this way.” Rachael replied as she turned around. “Hello.”
“Hello?” he replied slightly confused why she was talking to him. “Greg this is Rachael, I told you about her. We were sitting together on the plane both ways so we talked a lot.” He directed the last part to Rachael.
They got their subs and Greg was on his way out when Patrick asked him if he would like to join them, he said sure and they got a table. They talked about most of the same stuff Patrick had gone over yesterday, except for the in depth analysis of his fight against Lilligant.
“It’s a training routine we have worked on for several years so I don’t have to see him to know where he is, I just do, I don’t even have to tell him what to do I just say ‘Move three’ or whichever one and he goes at it. I just say the moves because I’m used to it and so is he. I believe he’s close to evolving too, I just don’t know when he will. So you said you worked at the Poké center?”
“Yeah I’m off today.”
“I’ve never seen you there.” he commented.
“I work in the back a lot, of course now I’m the head nurse.” She replied. “Lisa takes care of the front desk.”
“Tall with long blonde hair to about the middle of her back?”
“Yeah, how did you know?”
“I go there a lot when she is working there.” he said with a smile.
“I can introduce you if you want to meet her?”
“Really?”
“Sure right after lunch we can head over to the center.”
They finished and headed over to the Poké center. “I’m kind of nervous around cute girls.”
“You’re not nervous around me,” she said, “are you saying I’m not cute?”
“No you’re dating him, so there is no possibility there, is she seeing anyone?”
“No she’s not.”
“Oh good.” They arrived and just like usual Lisa was sitting behind the desk reading a book as it was empty.
“Hi Lisa.” Rachael said.
“Hi Rach, what are you doing here on your day off?”
“Oh nothing,” Then turning to Patrick and Greg. “You two wait here and I’ll talk to her and then introduce you two.”
“I think I forgot to file those last reports properly can you help me check?”
“Sure.” They both headed into the back.
When they got to the office, “Where are they?” Lisa asked.
“Forget about that, I just wanted to get you back here so I could talk to you privately. Did you see the guy that came in with us?”
“Yeah I’ve seen him here before.”
“Well he’s a friend of Patrick’s, they meet at that training he went to. He mentioned you a little while ago.”
“Oh, did he, why?” she asked.
“He kind of likes you but he’s real shy. So if I introduce you to you have to be easy on him.”
“I can handle shy guys.” she said.
“Yeah I remember the last one you handled, he ran away before getting his Pokémon back.”
“Oh yeah, him. Ok I’ll take it nice and slow.”
“Ok let’s go make some introductions.” They got back to the front, “Oh Lisa by the way, I’d like you to meet Greg, he’s a friend of Patrick’s.”
“Hi Greg.” she said holding out her hand.
“H-H-Hi” he mumbled back stuttering a little. Lisa turned her head giving Rachael a quick evil smile. Rachael knew what was coming next. Lisa was a forceful and assertive woman. She was going to toy with him, not in a mean way but in an I want to fuck you way.
Before she broke him Rachael said “How about we double tonight? We can meet at the restaurant down the road; you know the one with that huge salad bar?”
“Sure we will be there.” Lisa said pulling Greg to her side, she was only slightly taller than he was.
“Alright, around eight sound good?”
“Sure.” Lisa replied again not giving Greg a chance to say no.
“Alright we will see you then.” Rachael said as she made her way out the door.
“Don’t you two get involved in something else and be late.” Lisa called after her. “So you be here a little before eight I will meet you here, and we can go to restaurant together.” She told Greg.
“Ok I’ll be here.” He replied meakly.
“And don’t you be late either.” Lisa added.
“So what are we going to do today?” she asked. “The park, how about a nice walk in the park?” “Oh that will be nice. The leaves are finished changing. It will be beautiful.” She added in. As they walked down the path he could see other couples were out in the park too. He called out Zorua. He had a strange bond with Zorua. Every time he thought of his Pokémon Zorua was the one that came to mind, and Pawniard was the same way at times. He called him out too.
“Well, well, well, look who it is.” Patrick heard the voice before but couldn’t place it before he turned. The muscleman with the Sawk.
“You need another lesson?” Patrick asked sarcastically.
“I don’t recall you giving me one before.” The bodybuilder said.
“You want a fair fight? Because as I recall you attack people that don’t want to fight.”
“Alright, fair fight, double battle. 2-on-2, no subs.” The bodybuilder said. “Sawk, Gurdurr, GO”! He tossed the poké balls.
“Rufflet Go, Pawniard go.” He tossed out Rufflet’s poké ball and Pawniard stepped forward. When they called out their Pokémon Patrick saw a crowd start to gather around and as the crowd grew more people saw it and came to join it. Rufflet was hovering there waiting for orders, Pawniard was sharping his head and hands against each other. They were about to start when Zorua jumped in. Zorua return, Patrick pointed his poké ball at him but he kept dodging the beam. “Zorua you’re not fighting in this one.”
“Having trouble controlling your Pokémon kid?” the bodybuilder sneered. The crowd laughed at this.
“I was trying to save you from a quick battle but if you insist.” Patrick replied coolly getting an even bigger laugh from the assembled crowd. “Pawniard return.” Pawniard turned to him holding up his blade hands giving him a look of are you serious, I just got finished sharping them? Then returned to his side. When it was all settled they started.
“Zorua get Sawk with Fury Swipes” he was going after him when he said go. “Rufflet Aerial Ace on Gurdurr.”
The bodybuilder was fully engaged with the Gurdurr/Rufflet battle he was diving and dodging Gurdurr’s every attempt to pummel him with his girder, when the crowd let out a gasp. He turned to the Sawk/Zorua engagement but saw a Sawk/Sawk battle one mirroring the other. Sawk would throw a punch and it would be blocked by the same punch it looked like he was fighting a mirror move for move he was copied. Zorua didn’t know these moves he was just quick thinking and agile, allowing him to copy the move precisely.
“Gurdurr take out the imposter.” Gurdurr with a final swing clipped Rufflet’s wing sending him to the ground forgotten. Gurdurr looked to his master for clarification. “The one on his side” he pointed. Gurdurr raised his weapon and swung connecting the beam to the side of the head of the one on Patrick’s side of the field, unfortunately it was not Zorua, they had switched sides in their mirror fighting. As the beam connected Zorua began to shimmer and shrink. Zorua ran between Gurdurr’s legs and with no instruction fury swiped his back repeatedly. By now Rufflet had gotten up and took flight.
“Rufflet, Aerial Ace on Gurdurr!” Zorua leaped aside seconds before Rufflet connected. Gurdurr swayed for a second and fell over. Patrick thought it was over when Sawk started twitching and rose up “Wing attack Rufflet!” Coming from behind, Rufflet slashed him across the back of his head and he went down again. Then it was over.
“What the hell happened?” the bodybuilder shouted. “You got whooped by the look of things!” he heard someone in the crowd shout followed by laughter.
“Pay up!”
“I never pay.” The bodybuilder scoffed.
“You will, or he will make you pay.” Patrick said nodding to Pawniard clearly irritated he wasn’t involved.
“Fine.” He said handing over a stack of cash. “I ever see you again kid I’m gonna stomp ya!”
“Pretty tough words for a guy who just got beat.”
The bodybuilder responded by advancing towards Patrick when Zorua started to glow and grow. He reached about five foot before he stopped and the glow faded.
“ZOROARK!” Quick as a flash he was standing between them inches from the bodybuilder raising his hands and flashing his claws. The guy fell back on his ass in fright. He recalled his defeated Pokémon and ran. “Zor.” He said again turning back to Patrick. His voice was deeper.
“Zoroark.” Patrick said. Zoroark nodded. Patrick turned to Rachael who had a stunned look on her face, as did most of the crowd.
She snapped out of it grabbing him into a hug saying, “You did it, you did it!” The crowd was starting to disperse.
“You want to continue our relaxing walk?”
“I don’t know, any more relaxing and I might collapse.” She replied. They continued their walk with her holding his arm leaning against him with her head on his shoulder, with Zoroark following them. “You know we’re going to have to celebrate when we get home tonight.”
“I can’t stay over tonight.” He replied.
“What?”
“Remember I have to go home tonight, my parents want to see me.” He reminded her.
“Oh damn. Then let’s go home now I want to reward you for defeating that guy.” She pulled him through the park all the way to her apartment.
They arrived at her place; she pulled him straight to the bedroom and pushed him onto the bed. She slowly began pulling his clothes off, starting with his shirt and ending with his pants leaving him in only his boxers. She then started a striptease for him slowly pulling off her shirt, then swinging her hips as her pants fell to the floor. She turned towards him and crawled up and sat on his chest, “take off my bra” she said in a sexy voice. He reached behind her and unclipped it letting in fall in front of her. “Take off my panties” she said. He reached up she slapped his hands “don’t you dare use your hands.” She turned and put her butt in his face. He grabbed the top of them with is teeth and pulled them slowly down, his nose brushed against her slit as he did, causing her to shutter. “Oh yeah right there.” she moaned. She raised herself as he pulled them lower getting them to her knees she reached back and pulled them the rest of the way off. She then stuck her pussy right in his face. He licked her, teasing, barely touching at times, then shoved it in her. He was thrusting his tongue in when he felt a hot wet feeling on his dick. He had to take a second to contain himself so he didn’t blow right then, then resumed his tongue thrusting. She came in a frenzy of passion, she was moaning like crazy shoving herself more and more into his face. It hit him in the face, he sucked up as much as he could but she didn’t stop. She turned around when she finished and dropped her pussy on to his dick and started bouncing. He pulled her down and sucked her breasts slightly biting the nipple knowing it would excite her more. He was right, she started moaning more and more. “Tell me when” she said panting hard.
“It’s close.” He replied equally as breathless. Several minutes later he shouted “Now!” and she slammed down and held it as he shot into her, she could feel it filling her up.
“Oh yeah.” She breathed collapsing on his chest. They laid there for several minutes his dick still inside her. “Don’t move.” she said as he shifted his body. They fell asleep wrapped up in each other.
Hours later Rachael woke up and glanced at the clock six thirty we better get up and get ready to go she thought as she rolled off of him and made her way to the shower. She wasn’t in there two minutes when Patrick joined her. He turned her around and picked her up placing her on his dick. She wrapped her arms around his neck to keep from falling as they thrust together. They both came quickly, washed up and got out. “I didn’t expect that.” she told him as they got dressed.
“I like to surprise you now and then.” He replied. They sat on the couch watching TV waiting for seven thirty to roll around and when it did they left for the restaurant.
Rachael was wearing her stunning form fitting green dress, and her red hair was pulled forward over her shoulder. They waited outside for Lisa and Greg. Soon enough they could see Lisa strolling down the sidewalk in a short bright blue dress that was very tight fitting. The tight dress amplified her chest which was already large.
“Wow” Patrick said earning a slap on the shoulder from Rachael. “Sorry but she looks good.” she slapped him again. “Don’t worry I love you, I never want to hurt you.” He said giving her a kiss.
“I love you too.” she replied returning the kiss.
Greg was basically being pulled along behind Lisa. They walked in and the volume dropped as most of the guys inside stared at the girls wondering how guy like that got them. They were seated in a booth in the back, where they could talk without yelling, Lisa cuddling up to Greg as much as she could. Rachael could tell he was very nervous being this close to her.
“Hey Lisa lets go to the bathroom before the food gets here.” Rachael said. They left.
“So what do you think of Lisa?” Patrick asked.
“She looks good but I can’t talk to her. She's a little forceful and I’m afraid of her, like she might not like what I say and hit me. I can’t go out with her.”
“Give it time, once you get to know her more you can relax and talk to her easier.” Patrick said not sure when he became the expert to give out advice.
In the restroom Rachael said to Lisa “I think you’re freaking him out.”
“I’m just trying to get him to respond to me. He barely uttered two words after you left earlier today. If he can’t talk to me this isn’t going to work. He’s cute and all but if he can’t talk to me it’s going to be boring.” Lisa replied.
“Just give him a little space and don’t be so…you.”
“What does that mean?”
“You’re a little rough with guys. If you’re like that with him it will never work out. Go slow and easy. He’s not you’re regular kind of guy.” Rachael told her.
“Alright I’ll get it a try.” Lisa responded. “If it doesn’t work I’ll just take Patrick from you.” She said playfully.
“It will never happen.”
“I don’t know, I saw how he looked at me in this dress. He needed help putting his eyes back in.” she said shaking her ass a little.
“Oh shut up.” Rachael responded. “Let’s get back before they think we are talking about them.” She added.
Lisa followed Rachael’s advice through the rest of dinner but it didn’t produce any different results. They finished up, all said good night and headed home. Patrick called his parents when he got back to Rachael’s apartment; his dad arrived shortly and took him home.
The next day Rachael was going over charts of the serious injury Pokémon when Lisa arrived. “So what are you going to do about him?” Rachael asked her.
“I think I broke him.”
“What? How?”
“Well I had him walk me home and when we got there I frenched him long and slow, I hope he got home alright, he was in shock afterwards. I don’t think I’ll ever see him again.”
“Don’t be so sure.” Rachael said looking over Lisa’s shoulder who had her back to the door.
“Why?” Lisa asked turning around as Rachael motioned with a nod to the door. In walked Greg.
“I’ll get him Lisa. Hi Greg.”
“Hey Rachael, is Lisa here?”
“One second.” she said giving him a smile.
“Well what do you know, he wants to see you.” Rachael told her.
“I guess he needed to be broken.” Lisa replied.
“Hi Greg what do you need sweetie?”
“I wanted to know if you wanted to maybe go to dinner with me again tonight?” he asked her looking at the floor the entire time.
“Are you asking me or the tile because I don’t think it can make it.” she said with a smile
“Huh, Lisa that was mean.” Rachael said softly moving behind her, but Lisa heard her, and waved her off. Greg raised his eyes and saw her staring at him with her hazel eyes.
“Do you want t-to go-o to din-nn-er with m-m-me?” He stammered.
“I would love to. What time?”
“What time do you get off?” he muttered.
“Anytime I’m excited.”
“Huh?” Greg asked.
Rachael hung and shook her head. “Oh Lisa.” she whispered.
“Six o’clock sweetie.” She said when she realized he wasn’t going to understand. “Pick me up at my apartment, at seven, you remember where it is?”
“Yeah.”
“Ok see you then honey.”
“Bye.” he turned and walked out.
“You are so bad.” Rachael said as Lisa doubled over with laughter.
“I’m sorry I had to do it, too bad he didn’t understand.” She said the last part with a bit of a pout.
“Shame on you Lisa.”
“I’m really surprised he showed up.” She said heading to the front desk and taking her seat there.
Patrick woke to the sound of his xtransceiver ringing. “Hello?” he answered.
“Is this Patrick?”
“Yes it is.”
“You are in the final selection group and we would like to see all the finalists later today. Is five ok with you?”
“Yeah it should be.”
“Excellent. You will be meeting the other finalists at the administration building at five.”
“I’ll be there.” He replied and hung up.
Since Rachael was a work he headed out to the farm, and helped his parents, basically killing time till the meeting. At three he headed home, after a quick shower and change of clothes he took off to the city. He arrived in the city at about four thirty; he didn’t have time to stop into the Poké center to see Rachael, and headed straight for the park.
The park was coming along quickly; it wouldn’t be long before they would need the selection process to be over so they could open up. He walked into the administration building and out of the crowd of people there he immediately saw Greg, Alex, Jess, Brittney, and Jerry. They were the ones he got to know best going through the training. There were others that he had a talked to once or twice and gave them a nod of recognition. They were called in one by one and some returned to their seats after coming out, others left. Finally after everyone had been in, the only ones to remain were him, Greg, Alex, and Jess.
“Congratulations!” the manager said as he came out of his office. “You four will be the officers or head rangers. The others will be working for you; you will all be assigned sections to manage and oversee. Managing is a little different than just being a ranger so you will have a few extra classes. There won’t be many of them just two or three. They will be from two to five. I expect you all to be there. Now you all can go. We will e-mail you further information.”
“I‘m glad they are done.” Greg said to Patrick as they walked out.
“Why what’s up?”
“I asked Lisa out again.”
“Really, that’s great man.”
“Yeah she’s a bit of a handful but I can’t seem to get her off my mind. Wish me luck, I meet her in a little under an hour.”
“Good luck, I’m going to meet Rachael tell her the good news.”
He walked in to the Pokécenter and up to the counter, it wasn’t Lisa me noticed, “Hello.”
“Hello Penelope”, she was the nurse with the long green hair, he had come to know her on a familiar basis being there so often to pick up Rachael. “Is Rachael still here?”
“No she left about twenty minutes ago.” She replied.
“Thanks, I’ll see you around.” She must be at her apartment he thought.
He got to her place in no time at all. She answered on the first knock like she was waiting on the other side of the door. “Well it’s about time, I thought I was going to have to go to dinner by myself.” She said with mock anger.
“Sorry I was busy.”
“Well what’s more important than you taking me to dinner?”
“Well for one it’s a dinner I was unaware I was taking you too, and two, me becoming a head ranger at the Wildlife Park.”
“Really? Oh that’s great. After dinner we celebrate!”
They headed to Rachael’s favorite restaurant, and just by chance they ran into Lisa and Greg waiting outside. They were talking and didn’t see Patrick and Rachael approach, well Lisa was talking and Greg was looking nervous. “Hey Lisa.” Rachael said when she got close enough.
“Hey Rach what are you doing here?”
“We are just here for dinner, no special reason.”
“Really? Greg here mumbled something about a job, and I heard your name in there somewhere too Patrick.”
“Let’s get a table together and talk.” Rachael said looking in Greg’s direction. Sense Greg knew Patrick; he was able to talk more if he directed most of the conversation towards him. Rachael fired questions at him so Lisa could get to know more about him without having to ask him herself.
They arrived back at Rachael’s place later than they had original planned, after dinner they caught a late movie with Lisa and Greg. “I’m really tired.” Rachael said as she dropped down on the couch.
“Want to go to bed?”
“Yeah!” she said perking up.
“I meant to sleep.”
“Ok, that’s fine too.” She resigned herself to sleep. They laid down and she pulled him back to her. “I’m cold” she said as she wrapped herself around him.
He woke up, she was gone. “I need to head home.” He showered, got dressed and was gone. He got home an hour later. Let himself in and saw no one was home, no surprise there either as he headed up to check his computer. There was an email from the park with information on the further classes he needed to take, they were to start the following day. At least with the times he could stay here and not get there late. He thought. Although he didn’t know what was bad about staying at Rachael’s. He packed up some clothes and his laptop, left a note on the table about where he was going to be and the reason and headed back to the city. Patrick dropped his things off at Rachael’s place, she’s given him a key, and decided for a walk in the park, just to relax and unwind. Finding his favorite tree he released all his Pokémon and sat down in the shade. It wasn’t long after that he heard a familiar voice.
“Hey!” he opened his eyes it was the blue haired girl, Kris. Her gang was right behind her. Red, black, blue, green, purple, brown, and yellow hair, the Rainbow Gang.
“Can I help you Kris?” She got a shocked look on her face and turned to her friends.
“He remembered!” She cried to her friends. “We were wondering if you could help us again.”
“With what?”
“We were wondering if you could train us?”
“I guess I could battle all of you.” He said standing up. “Which one of you wants to go first?”
Kris backed up “Not me.” she said. There was a conference going on with the rest of the gang. Finally the purple haired girl the tallest one moved towards him.
“I guess I’m up.”
“What’s your name?”
“Violet.”
“Ok call out your Pokémon.” She called out a Purrloin.
Since he had studied the Pokédex on his trip he knew it’s type, since he didn’t want to destroy but had none it would be good against he called over Pawniard. “Now Pawniard.” He said kneeling down. “I want you to go easy on her.” he was in mid-sharpen when he stopped and glanced at him, with a look of are you kidding me? “Go easy” he said again to reinforce it. “A couple of questions before we start.” he said. “How long have you had her there?” he asked Violet.
“Since I started” she said in a sweet soft voice. “I’d say about three years.” All the info he’d read on Purrloin said it was easy to evolve. He considered calling Pawniard over and telling him to lose but he knew that getting him to take it easy was pushing it. Violet was a little taken aback when she saw the crazy blade covered Pokémon step onto the field. “I have to fight him?”
“Don’t worry, he won’t hurt you.”
Pawniard glanced back with a look of yeah that’s what you think. He took his position.
“Purrloin use Fury Swipes.” Violet called.
“Pawniard torment.” He was hit before he could, taking swipes to the face. He knocked off Purrloin and used torment.
“Fury Swipes Purrloin.” Violet called again. Purrloin violently shook it head repeatedly unable to move. “What’s wrong with her?” Violet called.
“Torment prevents them from using the same move twice in a row.” He called back.
“Sand-attack Purrloin” she had no trouble following this command. It hit Pawniard in the face. He reached up and rubbed his eyes with his arm to clear them, but Purrloin was flying at him again throwing fury swipes in his direction. Pawniard was getting enraged he would have won by know if wasn’t being held back. Being knocked off again Purrloin retreated a short distance.
“Fury Cutter Pawniard.” It struck Purrloin which caused her to collapse. It struggled to rise and did so slowly.
“Fury Swipes, oh right, scratch attack Purrloin.” She glanced off Pawniard’s right side as he dodged it.
“Fury Cutter again.” It stuck Purrloin and she was down for good. “That was a good try Violet, you just need to train more and evolve Purrloin, maybe catch a few different types that will help too. You all should do the same, variety helps. So who’s next?”
“I guess I’ll go.” the redhead said stepping up. “Go Darumaka.” she called. “Hi, I’m Scarlett this is my Darumaka, I call him Blaze.” Yeti should be weak to hers, he thought.
“Yeti go.” Her faced covered in fear at the name, then she saw him. “Scarlett meet Yeti.”
“Ah he’s so cute!” she cried.
“Ready?” he asked, she nodded. “Go!”
“Blaze use Tackle.”
“Yeti evade and Icy Wind!” Yeti dodged to the side spun and blasted Blaze with Icy Wind. Blaze was blown back rolling like a ball.
“Blaze Rollout!” She screamed. She sure was intimidating and forceful. A little firecracker, standing there with her hands on her hips shouting orders like she's does this all the time. Yeti didn’t evade and took Rollout on full force.
“Yeti Fury Swipes.” He jumped up and violently started slashing at Blaze. He fell, it was over. “How long have you had Blaze?”
“I’ve had him since I was little, but he only knows those two moves.”
“He needs more training; he will learn more as he grows in strength.” He told her.
“Ok who’s next?”
The Green haired one stepped up. “Hi I’m Jade.” she mumbled. He could tell she was extremely shy her closed posture and the way she was looking at the ground.
“Hi Jade. What Pokémon do you have?” “Petals and Spines.”
“Excuse me?”
She blushed deeply “I’m sorry that’s their names.” She threw out two poké balls. Maractus and Petilil popped out. “Spines” she said motioning to Maractus “and Petals” gesturing to the other.
“How long have you had them?” “Had Petals first, caught Spines later.”
“Alright sounds good.” He called out Palpitoad and Golem his Golett. They were ground they should give her an advantage. By this time he was noticing the names and color similarities. “This will be a double battle or do you want two singles?”
“Doubles fine” she mumbled. Whatever’s faster she thought. She didn’t like to be the center of attention.
“Palpitoad Bubblebeam in Petilil. Golem Mud-slap on Maractus.”
“Pe-petals Mega Drain, Spines Mega Drain.” She called softly, but being use to her they heard her. Hers both took the shots and replied with Mega Drain.
“Palpitoad Round same target, Golem Shadow Punch same target.” Golem slugged Maractus and he fell. Golem ran back to his position, as Palpitoad used Round on Petilil.
“Mega Drain again.” she squeaked. It struck Palpitoad but he was able to just survive.
“Palpitoad Mud Shot.” It struck Petilil, but had little effect.
“Mega Drain.” She cried desperately. Finally that one brought Palpitoad to the ground. Problem was, Golem was still standing there.
“Golem Magnitude.” A vibration started underfoot and grew and grew until the ground heaved and Petilil was tossed into the air three to four feet and slammed into the ground again. It was over, Petilil was down for good. “Good job Jade. Training is the only advice I can give, and that goes for all of you. You know your Pokémon could have beat that guy that was hassling you, why didn’t you put him down?” he asked knowing the answer.
“I didn’t know.” she mumbled. And she was shy he thought.
“He would take out Amber’s and Scarlett’s and we didn’t think we could beat him.” Kris put in.
“Ok well now you do, next.” The smallest one walked forward, she was the bright yellowed haired girl.
“Hi I’m Amber.” She said brightly. “Go Joltik.” For a minute Patrick couldn’t see anything, then he noticed the yellow spot on the ground.
“Rufflet go.” he called out. Rufflet was a plus and minus in this battle. Good against the bug aspect but weak to the electric one. “Rufflet take flight.”
“Joltik String Shot.” It caught Rufflet on the foot. Rufflet tried to shake him off but had no luck.
“Rufflet Wing Attack.” He tried but couldn’t get him.
“Joltik Electro Ball!” He watched it strike Rufflet and he lost altitude, but recovered before hitting the ground. Quickly going over the moves Rufflet knows he couldn’t think of any that would help.
“Aerial Ace!” he cried out franticly. No effect to the spider clinging to Rufflet leg.
“Electro Ball.” He saw the end before it happened, then it was over as Rufflet bounced off the grass.
“You got a strong Pokémon Amber.” Hair, name, Pokémon color, color coordinated.
“Thanks!” she replied brightly. She was a toned down version of Scarlett. Giving order like she knows what she’s doing, and she does, and confident.
“And just how long have you had him?”
“Since I was five, my dad’s a retired trainer. It was my birthday Joltik was drinking power from the electric outlet and he caught it for me.”
“He’s powerful, good job. Next up.” The girl with the black raven color hair steps up.
“I’m Ebony nice to meet you.” She had an olive colored skin tone that just added to her sex appeal. “My friends call me Raven so you can call me Raven.” She said, her voice was like honey and implying something more than just a hello. He felt weak in the knees listening to her speak.
“Good to meet you too.” he managed to say. Her eyes seem to say it too. “So what do you got?”
“Gothita.” Was all she said as it appeared out of seemingly nowhere. She was mesmerizing he thought. He was going to have a hard time fighting her. Golem was the weak one here. He thought if using Pawniard just to make up for the loss, but he couldn’t do that to her, she didn’t beat him.
“PAWN” he jumped in swinging.
“Pawniard not you.” The look on Ebony’s face was priceless, her eyes were wide and her mouth was open in a gasp. She thought he was her opponent. He could barely contain his laughter. Pawniard moved out of the field muttering what were possibly curses at Patrick. “So how long have you had Gothita?” he asked just to hear her speak again.
“I’ve had him since I started as a trainer, I didn’t like the trainer part so I just stopped. I got it from Professor Juniper.”
“Alright, let’s get this started. Golem Magnitude.” Raven said nothing but nodded and Gothita blasted Golem with something, He tucked in his arms and legs and partially resisted the attack just in time. Good thinking on Iron Defense Golem. He thought. He used magnitude as he was told. The ground rocked and heaved, Gothita lost her balance and collapsed. “Rollout!” Gothita was up in seconds, it was a feint she wasn’t injured. She released the same attack again this time Golem couldn’t block it and it struck him hard. Patrick pulled out his Pokédex, he had to know what was hitting him. “Shadow Punch Golem.” The same nod from Raven and Gothita raised her arms and released again.
“Psychic. A powerful psychic type move, it may weaken the opposing Pokémon beyond initial use.” The Pokédex rang out.
“DynamicPunch” he called out. He flew across the field at lightning speed far faster than usual striking Gothita. She went down but rebounded quickly. Raven again said nothing but nodded. Another Psychic attack. Golem couldn’t handle it and dropped.
“I win.” she said calmly.
“Good job, Raven.” she smiled sultry and seductive at the use of her nickname.
“Thank you.” And she turned and rejoined the group.
“Alright two more left Kris, is it you or…”
“Me.” The brown haired girl moved forward. They all had their hair the same length just to the top of their butts, what was it with these girls? He thought. “I’m Auburn and this is Bouffalant.” Again the color coordinated hair, name, and Pokémon.
“Snowcone go.” he saw the girls exchange looks and mouth snowcone as he called out Vanillite. The temperature dropped about twenty degrees in the general area. And a mini snowstorm blew around Snowcone. “How long have you had yours?” he ask her.
“I don’t remember when I got him but he’s always been there.” She struck him as something of an airhead, kind of flighty.
“Let’s get started.” “Snowcone Icicle Spear.”
“Bouffalant Fury Attack…no! Horn attack…NO! Head Charge!” Bouffalant shook his head trying to do all three and missed completely.
“Icy Wind.”
“Horn Attack.” Icy Wind pelted Bouffalant in the face but he plowed through and hit Snowcone with a Horn Attack. He glided back,
“Icicle Spear again.”
“Fury no, Charge Bouffalant” she cried. The spear hit him square in the head, causing him to stumble as Snowcone glided over his head.
“VANILLITE!” it suddenly cried blasting out a white beam from its tiny body slamming into Bouffalant and freezing him solid.
“Ice Beam a powerful Ice type move that can freeze an opponent in a thick case of ice.” The Pokédex rang out.
“Yeti Brine attack Pawniard cut the ice off.” He called. “Well that’s over.” he said. Pawniard obeyed but didn’t look happy being a sculptor. All the girls gasp Patrick turned and saw that Vanillite was glowing a bright white and elongating. The glow died.
“Vanillish the Icy Snow Pokémon. They live in the Snowy Mountains, and can conceal themselves from enemy eyes by creating many small ice particles and hiding among them.” The Pokédex rang out.
“Oh my god, that was so cool.” He heard several of the girls say. He saw Raven whispering to one of the others while staring at him and then they both giggled as the other girl looked his way too. He could tell she would be trouble. After Bouffalant was thawed out Auburn returned to the group.
“You’re up Kris.”
“You get him Crystal!” he heard Scarlett yell. Blue hair, Crystal, he thought at least one wasn’t color coded, he was wrong.
“What’s your Pokémon Kris?”
“A Deino.” She said tossing out the ball. “I’ve had him since I was little.”
“Zoroark get in there.” He moved into the battle area. “Let’s battle.”
“Deino Headbutt”
“Zoroark Faint Attack.” They both collided and fell back and recovered.
“Deino use Crunch.”
“Leer!”
“ZOR!” it stared Deino down causing him to cringed.
“Crunch Deino” She cried. It shook it off and rushed forward latching its mouth onto Zoroark’s arm. He flung him off. Zoroark being a lot stronger took all Deino’s attacks in stride. Deino finally being worn down collapsed from exhaustion.
“Over” he called after she was unable to rouse Deino. “Well you all did well, some better than others. Training is the advice I can give you, those that lost need to train more than the others but you all need to catch other types of Pokémon did you notice the differing type I used against you? And Auburn.”
“Yes?”
“You need to give your Pokémon one order at a time, giving it three to four it gets confused and ultimately does nothing.” She nodded which reminded him about Ebony or Raven as she told him to call her. “Raven” he said.
“Yes honey?” damn he loved that voice, and now he had a nickname too, great hopefully Rachael never finds out.
“How did you control your Pokémon without talking?”
“Mental control, she’s psychic.” She responded.
“I had no idea you could control Pokémon that way.” He said
“Only psychic types.” She responded in her sultry honey covered voice. She sauntered over to him swing her hips in a suggestive manner. He could barely contain himself. “You know, you can take me to lunch and I can tell you ALL about it.” she said grabbing his collar and pulling him close to her. He could smell her perfume, it was jasmine and honey. He could also tell that the tan she had wasn’t a tan, it was her natural skin tone. She then gave him a small ghost of a kiss he barely felt on his lips. Then he snapped back to reality.
“Lunch oh shit, I got to go.” he glanced at his watch it was still an hour before Rachael’s lunch hour but he recalled his Pokémon. If he didn’t get out of there now he never would.
He slumped in the sofa at the Pokémon center exhausted. He had basically run all the way there to escape the black hair sex-bomb in the park. He could swore he heard her say to her friends “Don’t worry, I will get him.”
He drifted off to sleep. That was no escape, she was there, and she was wearing nothing rubbing herself up against him and he wasn’t resisting. He jerked awake by a lite touch on his shoulder. It was Rachael.
“I see you’re happy to see me.” She said gesturing to his crouch. He jumped up and grabbed her in a tight hug.
“You have no idea!” inhaling her sweet smell.
“I haven’t been gone that long, what’s wrong with you?” he contemplated not telling her, but quickly decided he’d better, lest she catch him if he was cornered by her again, after all she was going to get him.
“I’ll tell you at lunch. Just don’t get mad at me.”
“You know, I don’t like the sound of that.”
They got their lunch and sat down. “Okay now explain yourself.” She said. He launched into the story, how he headed to the park to relax, the approach of The Rainbow Gang, a short explanation why he called them that, and back to the main story. He finished up with the black haired girls unmistakable advances on him and her parting comment about how she would get him. “I’m not worried.” Rachael said unconcerned.
“You’re not?”
“No. If you don’t know by now how much I love you then you don’t deserve me.” She finished up in that unconcerned tone. “Plus after all I’ve done to you should be enough to make you stay around.” She added with her wicked smile.
“It’s not so much the her getting me part, it’s the part where you think I want it to happen. Let me lay out a scenario, you leave work and on your way home you see me and the Rainbow Gang in the park, now Raven as she likes to be called has got her hands all over me. Imagine I haven’t told you anything I’ve told you about them. How would you react to that?” He could see the reaction of her face as she worked through the question. “I can see your answer. I would be kicked out of your life regardless as to whether I was receptive or not.”
“I guess I would react badly seeing another woman with her hands on you.”
“Exactly.” He replied. “Well, I would never do anything to hurt you Rachael, and don’t think differently for one minute.”
Her eyes teared up and filled with joy. “If I didn’t have to go back to work I would take you home.”
“Then you better have me tonight, I have those manager classes and if they are anything like the other classes I’m going to be dead after them.”
“I think I will then.” She said with her wicked grin. She glanced at her watch. “Well I got to run, lunch is about up and I got a bunch of work to do today.” She got up gave him a kiss and headed back to the Poké center.
He headed back to the park to relax. He took his favorite spot under tree enjoying the light breeze. The weather was getting colder after that weird freeze they had had several months ago it had warmed up again but it being autumn the cold weather was on a return. He was enjoying it so much he drifted off to sleep. He stirred when he heard someone clear their throat. They did it again but louder. He cracked open his eyes. Raven. Oh shit he thought. Just to make it worse she was alone, the Rainbow Gang was missing. He opened his eyes all the way.
“Can I help you?” he asked trying to stay cool and unassuming as to what she wanted. She smiled. He took her in. She was standing there wearing a short grey skirt that was down to about mid-thigh and had her hands on her hips, she was wearing a tight white polo shirt, very tight. Her hair hung down on both sides of her face, framing it in a border of black. Her olive skin was simply beautiful and he didn’t notice before, but she had deep green eyes.
“I was wondering if I could get some private lessons?” Oh damn he thought.
“As I recall you beat me. I can’t help you.” “You picked a weaker type because we were training; I want you to use your stronger ones.”
“My type advantages to you are a bit crazy I can’t guarantee your Pokémon’s safety.”
“Can you show me?” her eyes got really wide and she held her hands up to her face.
“You’ve already seen him.”
“Please?” He reached down grabbed the ball and tossed out Pawniard. Pawniard popped out swinging his blades.
“PAWN!” he cried.
“Oh my!” she exclaimed. “I still want to fight.”
“Your funeral.” He replied. “Let’s go Pawniard.” He said. Pawniard looks at him with a really? You’re gonna let me fight now look as he started sharpening. “Call out your Gothita.”
“Goth.” She said as she popped out.
“Gothita use double slap.” Gothita flew towards Pawniard.
“Assurance attack Pawniard” Pawniard threw up his blades to block the double slap then slammed Gothita with assurance. She went rolling back. This time she didn’t call the attack she just thought it. Gothita was again running across the field. “Metal Claw Pawn.” Gothita fainted one way then darted back and struck Pawniard. Taking no real damage Pawniard quickly spun and drilled Gothita with Metal Claw. “Slash attack Pawn.” He quickly followed up with the Slash. Raven willed Gothita to rise. She lunged forward but was slow, Pawniard easily dodged and added a Metal Claw without command. Gothita collapsed. “I think it’s over.” Patrick said. “Rule one, never play to a type disadvantage if you can avoid it.”
“You’re so strong and knowledgeable.” She said walking over to him swinging her hips. She was right in front of him, he caught a whiff of her jasmine and honey perfume again. She moved in to kiss him but he dodged her,
“Whoa! I have a girlfriend Raven.”
“Is she cute?”
“Yes extremely.”
“And I’m not?”
“Yes you are, but I’m with her.”
“She doesn’t have to know about us. I could be our secret.” She added to last part an inch from his face.
“No.” he said taking a step back. She moved in again for the kiss, and this time he didn’t move back fast enough. She ran her tongue over his lips, he quickly pushed her away. “Get off me.” She slapped him across the face.
“PAWN!” he cried at seeing his master attacked.
“You better leave quickly or he will attack you, and I will be slow to call him off.” She recalled her Gothita and stormed off. The rest of his day was uninterrupted as he lounged under the tree.
He arrived at the Poké center as Rachael was walking out the door. “Hey, so what did you do today?” she asked before he could say a word.
“Uh, why do you ask?” he could hear a certain something in her voice, a knowing. “Nothing much, Pokémon battle in the park nothing interesting, I won.”
“I know.”
“What? How?”
“Penelope. She was walking across the park on her way to work, she recognized you but not the girl you were battling so she stopped to watch. She saw more than the battle too.” There was that certain something in her voice again.
“It was nothing really.”
“Nothing! She had half your face in her mouth.” His mouth dropped open in surprise.
“She did not!” he nearly shouted. “What did she tell you?”
“She said you were cheating on me.”
“Did she now? Well…” He turned and ran back to the Poké center.
“Oh shit” Rachael said running after him. He walked in the door and saw Penelope sitting at the front desk.
“What did you tell her?” He asked when he got up to her.
“What?” Penelope asked confused.
“What did you tell Rachael you saw in the park?” Before she could answer he felt a hand on his arm.
“Come here.” Rachael said pulling him back. She pulled him off to the corner. “She told me she saw you battle some dark haired girl, I remember the description you gave me earlier. I told her you told me about her, but I asked her if there was anymore. She said she saw her kiss you twice, the first one you dodged, the second one caught you, but you pushed her away, then she slapped you and stormed off. I was teasing you, I’m sorry, I really need to be more careful about that.”
“Sorry Penelope, never mind.” he said.
“Ok, see you later.” she said still completely confused.
They walked back to her place. “Oh, it’s been a long busy day.” She commented.
“Is the head nurse position really that much more work?”
“Oh my god you have no idea. The filing, the sorting, the filing, the reports and let’s not forget the filing.” She kicked off her shoes as she walked in the apartment, and sat on the couch. He went to the spare room and released his Pokémon.
“So what do you want to do for dinner?” he asked walking back into the room, she didn’t answer. She was already asleep. He ordered a pizza and woke her when it got there. She was awake long enough to eat a couple of slices then was out again. He carried her to the bedroom, woke her again and helped her change then put her in bed. He joined her an hour later.
She woke the next morning. She looked at the clock; it was early, earlier than usual for her. Patrick was facing her still asleep. She just stared at him, thinking of how perfect things seemed to be. She gave him a soft kiss on the forehead and slowly slid out of bed.
He awoke several hours later; the room was bathed in sunlight pouring through the window. He knew she was at work. Maybe I should stay in till the classes start. He thought, it was about nine, kind of a long time till lunch, then the class was at two. He sat down to watch TV but there was nothing good on. “Can I sit around here until noon with nothing to do?” He was dressed, had his Pokémon and was out the door in no time.
He debated going to the park, he didn’t want to run into Raven again, but with lack of a better place to go he headed to the park to let his Pokémon run around. He picked a spot close to the lake for Palpitoad and open space for the others to run around. He sat under a tree, and watched them go. Pawniard however sat with him as did Zoroark. He watched his Pokémon tire out after playing around. He was thinking it was time to go when he heard a familiar voice call out behind him.
“Hey!” Didn’t sound too happy either. He turned to see the Rainbow Gang minus Raven.
“Can I help you?” he asked nicely.
“What did you say to Raven?” He knew this was coming.
“She asked for another training fight with my strong Pokémon, she lost.”
“She said you attacked her.”
“Well, she's lying.”
“She said your crazy Pawniard there” she said motioning to Pawniard.
“PAWN” he cried out realizing they were insulting him.
“Threatened her.” she finished.
“Yeah well she's lying, and I really don’t care if you believe me or not. I have to go.” He recalled all but Pawniard and Zoroark, and walked off feeling their eyes following him.
It was still early, Rachael was still working. “Well shit, I can’t get any peace in the park. Come to think of it I’ve had nothing but trouble in that park. I need to stop going.” He said to himself. He was walking trying to figure out where he should go, when he saw a closely pack group of trees at the edge of the park. “I could hide in there until lunch time.” He glanced around and saw no one so he ducked in the groove. He walked to the center and saw it was empty. It was nice and cool and shaded. He was about to take a seat when a Bouffalant came charging out of the trees and slammed into Zoroark knocking him into a tree and unconscious. He knew it was too convenient to be random, it was the Rainbow Gang. He reached for his belt and found it missing. He quickly glanced around and saw Joltik the yellow spider hanging from the tree behind him holding his belt. “Pawniard kill him.” Pawniard’s eyes flashed at that order, just the order he always wanted. He flew towards Joltik, not seeing Blaze jump out of the trees.
“Fire Fang Blaze.”
“What the…” Patrick said glancing towards the edge of the clearing. Standing in the shadow of the trees he saw the girls. Blaze was already flying, he intercepted Pawniard and sank his flaming jaws into him. At that point the other Rainbow Gang Pokémon joined in pell-mell. Pawniard was being hit from all sides and unable to gain clear stability for a single second. Patrick rushed forward to knock one of two Pokémon off Pawniard when he was restrained to a tree knocking his Pokédex out of his pocket, it was that blasted Joltik and his web. Thoughts were going through Patrick’s head as he watched the onslaught, they knew which Pokémon to take out first and which one to beat. Pawniard took a final hit and hit the ground wondering why he was getting no orders. He looked up through the legs and arms assaulting him and saw Patrick was indeed shouting he just couldn’t hear him, in fact he couldn’t hear anything. He rolled over in a last valiant effort and struck out with his blades bring one across the throat of Purrloin slashing it deep, and the other across the leg of Deino. As his vision faded he looked once more to his trainer seeing him bound to a tree, he reached within finding the strength to stand and continue to take the assault.
He saw the next hit coming, he raised his blade and stopped it dead. Then started to glow, the assaulting Pokémon were thrown back, Pawniard grew to about four times his size. The blade on head elongated the body blades grew outwards and bigger and his hand blades were replaced by two fingered hands as the blades moved to his wrists, and his feet changed from paws to clawed bladed weapons.
“Bisharp the Sword Blade Pokémon, They lead and pursue prey in company of a large group of Pawniard that will assault but leave the prey for Bisharp to finish off.” The open Pokédex rang out.
“Bisharp.” His voice had deepened and he was pissed, a fire was burning behind his eyes as he surveyed his soon to be prey, a Darumaka, Deino, two plants, a Bouffalant, the spider in the tree, and an injured Purrloin which he was going to make to pay. The opponent Pokémon rose to their feet and resumed the assault. Being injured he still moved with the speed of a bullet. The Darumaka rushed him, he spun to the side bring his foot onto the fire Pokémon sending it flying into a tree with great force. He spun again hearing the Bouffalant charging from behind. Facing the now charging Bouffalant he put his arms out straight and waited. When Bouffalant was right in front of him about to collide he slammed his head down, Bouffalant head hit the ground, the force of the hit and Bisharp’s jump launched him up and he ran down Bouffalant’s back as it was sliding on the ground.
“Iron Head attack. A powerful steel move that deals massive damage.” The Pokédex rang out again. He couldn’t keep track of them all at once and was struck with Pin Missile attack, he saw also a group of seeds flying his way. His slashed them in half. Two down. He didn’t see the plant Pokémon as a big threat, but the Deino looked like one. He rushed it as it looked to it trainer for orders, she cried out something but the yell that Bisharp was screaming drowned it out. It panicked and used Dragonbreath, Bisharp jumped the beam and punched him full in the face sending him rolling, Bisharp landing lightly on his feet. He then turned his attention to the plant Pokémon, he cut them down to size in a matter of seconds. The Purrloin was laying there where it had fell after it was slashed across the throat. He gazed down at it and picked it up flung it towards a tree. He stood in a ring of defeated opponents looking for the next victim and remembered the last order given to him, kill the spider. He turned his attention to the tree as did the Rainbow Girls. The yellow spider was being crushed in the red three fingered claw of Zoroark. Hatred burned in his eyes at being dispatched with a sucker move the way he was. He threw the Joltik to the ground where it hit with a sickening crack and rolled several feet. Patrick’s belt was dropped at his feet. Zoroark leaped to the ground slashed through the web restraining Patrick and moved next to Bisharp. Looking at him, his ability took over and he morphed into a duplicate.
“Collect your Pokémon and go or I tell them to attack you next, and I will do it.” he said with no hint of emotion. The girls quickly recalled their Pokémon and ran off. When they were gone Bisharp collapsed. Patrick moved to him “Good job Bisharp.”
“Bis…” and Patrick recalled him.
He arrived at the Pokémon center, Lisa was behind the desk.
“Hi Patrick…what’s wrong, you look like you’ve been hit by a train.”
“Bisharp is in a bad condition.”
“Audi, stretcher!” she called to the back immediately followed by an Audino bring out a stretcher.
“Give him here.” He released him, and she rolled him out. He dropped on the couch in the waiting area, Zoroark curled up at his feet on the floor.
“Patrick!” It was Rachael as she rushed from the back. “What the hell happened to him? And to you?” she asked seeing he was just as bedraggled as his Pokémon were.
“I was ambushed by a group of very sorry people. Well they weren’t sorry when they started…but they are now.”
“How…”
“Seven.”
“Seven! He took on seven by himself?”
“I don’t know how he did it, or survived for that matter. There is no way to ever repay that kind of loyalty.”
“Zor.”
“I know you would do the same thing if you hadn’t been sucker punched.”
“Zor” he said again with a nod of his head.
“Don’t worry we will take great care of him you just rest here.” She said. He dropped back down and passed out from the fading of the adrenaline in his system.
“Bisharp.” He jerked awake to see a Bisharp standing next to him.
“Bisharp you’re better.”
“Bis?” he said cocking his head to the side.
“He wasn’t hurt.” He heard a familiar voice say. It was Officer Hayes escorting a young trainer.
“Oh it’s not mine.”
“No its mine. Blades, let’s go we have to track down that guy, he’s a hazard.” He was halfway to the door when he seemed to remember Patrick. He turned back. “How are you doing kid?”
“Tired. My Pokémon was assaulted by seven others.”
“And it’s still alive?”
“Yes.”
“That’s some Pokémon you get there kid. Which one was it, the Zorua?” remembering their first run in.
“No, he’s right here.” He gestured to the floor where Zoroark was watching them.
“So he evolved. Good for him.”
“It was the Pawniard, he evolved and beat them all.”
“Want to give me a description if the perp?”
“Six girls with rainbow colored hair. Can’t miss’em.”
“Six girls, rainbow colored hair.” He repeated.
“Yeah, doesn’t sound dangerous does it?”
“When they ambush you all at once it can get bad.” Officer Hayes said taking a guess at what happened.
“Yeah.”
“I have to run down a thug so I have to go. I hope your Bisharp gets better.”
He dozed off again as he waited for Bisharp to get out of the emergency room. He was jerked awake several times, and glancing at his watch he saw little to no time had passed each time. There was still time till the classes at the wildlife park started. It was half passed noon, he thought of the lunch he was going to have with Rachael which was now shot to hell. He wondered if she even went. He heard the bong from the emergency room door. Lisa walked out. “He’s going to be alright, it was rough he was in bad shape. What the hell happened to him?”
“A fight.”
“What did he fight a fucking building?”
“Seven Pokémon.”
“Seven!?” he just nodded his head.
“We want to keep him over night just to be sure. So if you got somewhere you need to be and Rachael said you did you should go.”
“I’m going to get some lunch first.”
“Yeah get something to eat, you will feel better.”
“Can Rachael join me or is she busy?”
“She is, that’s why I’m here telling you. She will be lucky to get to the cafeteria to grab a bite.”
“Alright I will go grab some lunch.”
He had a quick lunch, headed back to Rachael’s apartment and got cleaned up.
The class was over, it had run a little long so it was a little past five. “Hey Patrick.” It was Greg running up behind him.
“Yeah what’s up?”
“Do you want to join me and Lisa for dinner?”
“I’d have to ask Rachael if she wants to come.”
“You can’t come without her?”
“I can but, she might want to stay in and watch a movie or some such…what?” he saw the grin spreading across Greg’s face.
“Lisa asked Rachael, she said something along the same lines. Although hers was something about you not feeling up to it. What’s up?”
“I’ll tell you at the restaurant. It’s a long story.”
Having showered and changed clothes after lunch he was clean so he and Greg headed straight to the restaurant to wait for the girls. It was kind of empty. They got a table quickly after the girls arrived.
“Ok so what’s this long story you got?” Greg asked wasting no time.
“Well it was today. I was relaxing in the park and the Rainbow Gang appeared.”
“Rainbow Gang?” He gave Greg and Lisa a quick primer on The Rainbow Gang, and explained the first meeting as well as the follow up with Raven.
“So I was relaxing and they came up, accusing me of attacking Raven. I told them she was lying and walked off. They apparently didn’t like my answer. How they found me so quick is a mystery. Anyway there was this grove on the edge of the park I looked around ducked in and was immediately attacked, Zoroark was knocked out first and Pawniard was surrounded and savagely beat. He managed to fight back and get up several times, I was pinned to a tree by the Joltik they had. It also took my belt.” He said forestalling Lisa question. “So he picked himself up blocking two attacks and nearly slitting the throat of the Purrloin then evolved. After that they were beat down quick, but after they left he just collapsed. It took all his energy to remain strong till they were gone. If he hadn’t made it I’m sure that was how he would have preferred to go, protecting me to the end.”
“I’m sorry, when you said seven Pokémon I assumed you got into a one-on-one fight, and made him fight seven different ones.” Lisa said. “I misjudged you.”
“I could have told you he would never do that, why didn’t you ask? You think I would go out with someone that treated Pokémon like that? I’m a NURSE!” Rachael interjected.
“I was shocked by the fact that it was seven I wasn’t thinking straight.”
“Let’s just forget it, we all know the story so let’s just let it go, he’s going to be fine.” Patrick interjected to stop the fight.
“Ok.” Rachael returned to her cheerful self. The last thing he wanted was Rachael and her friend fighting because how he might or might not have acted.
“So switching gears, what were your classes about?” Lisa asked.
“It was about delegating tasks to be everywhere at once.” Greg responded.
“Yeah I have no idea what you’re talking about.” Lisa commented.
“Basically I can have my Pokémon be here at this location with orders to do something. Now with him there I can am free to go check on other matters that may require my attention.” Patrick laid out.
“So it’s like how we use the Audino at the center?”
“Exactly.” Greg answered. They had more small talk as they finished dinner.
When Rachael and Patrick arrived home it was late. They had talked a lot longer than they expected.
“I’m so tired.” Rachael said.
“Me too. I just want to climb into bed and sleep.”
“Is that all?” Rachael asked with a smirk.
“At this point, yes.”
“Ah.” she said putting on a pout. They both changed at climbed into bed. She crawled on to his back and put her arm around him as they feel asleep.
“WAKE UP!” the shout penetrated his sleep as the pillow crashed into his head. He cracked an eye and saw Rachael on her knees at the foot of bed holding the offending pillow. She drew it back again to strike.
“I’m up I’ up!” he said sitting up.
“Good.” she said with one final hit. He eventually stumbled into the kitchen finding her sipping a cup of coffee. “I’m off today and I want to have some fun. I need some fun before I go crazy.”
“Where can we go? There’s not too many places we haven’t been.”
“There’s the Chargestone Cave.”
“There’s the what now?” he replied.
“The Chargestone Cave. It’s south of the city and full of Pokémon. I’ve always wanted to go but was afraid to go alone. It is going to start snowing soon, if we don’t go now we will have to wait till spring.”
“Sure lets go, but first I have to swing by the center and see about Bisharp.” They got dressed and left shortly after. They stopped at the local donut place to get some to go and then headed to the Poké center eating their donuts.
They walked in a saw Penelope sitting at the front desk. “Oh thank god you’re here!” she said.
Before she could say anymore Rachael said “Oh no! I’m off today and I’m NOT coming in. I don’t care if half the city’s Pokémon are sick.”
“What? Oh, not you Rachael, him.” she said pointing at Patrick. “Your Bisharp is crazy, he wants to leave and you weren’t here to take him. We sedated him, but it’s not having the desired effect. If we give him anymore it may hurt him, so, we are glad you are here. He’s in a private room I’ll take you. Lisa, can you cover the front?”
“Sure.” she said walking out. “Your Bisharp is nuts” she added seeing who it was.
“I know.” He replied. When they got to the room they could see he was strapped down. He saw Patrick and started struggling, with a look of it’s about time you got here. Penelope undid the straps and Bisharp leaped up. He raked his wrists blades against each other.
“Now to the Caves.” Rachael said in a kind of cheer.
“Oh I love the caves, have fun!” Penelope said. They headed out the door.
They stopped to pick up subs from the deli so they could have lunch at the caves. They arrived at the caves entrance. It was a hole cut into the side of the mountain; it connected Mistralton City to Route six and eventually Driftveil City. “Let’s go” Rachael said after they had stared at it for a minute. They walked in and immediately they could feel the current running through the walls.
“That’s an unusual sensation.” he said. Rachael nodded her agreement.
“Get out your Frillish.”
“Why?”
“I have a feeling there are rock Pokémon here.”
“Why? I mean it’s a cave but…” He just pointed cutting her off. It was a herd of Boldore, four or five it was hard to tell in the gloom, moving across the far end of the cave.
“Do you want to catch one?”
“We got two water Pokémon, but against four to five Boldore I’d say no. Let’s go with something in a smaller group preferably alone.” He said. He was scouting the area he could see for a lone Pokémon. Then he heard Bisharp.
“Sharp” the word seemed to drip with hate. Patrick had no idea what he could be seeing that pissed him off. He saw it seconds before Bisharp was attacking. a Joltik, Bisharp had seen and moving like lightning he was on it slashing it with a vengeful fury. It was small but his shots were pinpoint and devastating. Patrick grabbed the transfer poké ball from his pack and threw it at the Joltik. The poké ball wiggle once and stopped he had caught the Joltik. He didn’t see this but felt it, as the poké ball hit Joltik Bisharp was standing in front of him holding his wrist blade to Patrick’s chin. He could see the fury and defiance burning in Bisharp’s eyes. He wanted revenge and he didn’t care if it was the Pokémon who caused it or just one of the same species.
“Yield Bisharp” he said with surprising calm. Bisharp’s shoulder slacked and he lowered the blade.
“I didn’t know you wanted a Joltik.”
“I didn’t but he would have killed it.” He then noticed his xtransceiver was beeping. He looked at it, it was flashing Transfer Pokémon Y/N. “Transfer where?” he asked aloud.
“Remember the Pokémon account Professor Juniper set up for you? Probably there.” Rachael told him.
“Oh yeah I forgot, it did this when I got Golem. I pressed N then.” He pressed the Y button. The poké ball glowed and made the same sound it did when the Pokémon was caught. It clicked open and was empty. “I can get it at the Pokémon center later.”
“Yep just check the computer up against the wall.” Rachael said.
“Will it be injured? I kept Golem when after I caught him.”
“No, when one comes in that is really injured as he will be the computer informs us, we withdraw it and treat it. It will be fine.”
“You know what I really need is a fire Pokémon. I don’t have one of those. I can’t fight Pokémon with an advantage.” He was thinking of the Rainbow Gang.
“You won’t find any of those here, I’ve heard that’s the kind to bring here, lots of bug and steel here, they hate fire.”
“And you do have Rufflet. And from what you said your Pokémon were taken from you.” She said seeming to read his mind. They saw lightning flashing above their heads. They both looked up to see a white eel ‘swimming’ in the air. He pulled the Pokédex.
“Tynamo the Elefish Pokémon. While one alone doesn’t have much power a chain can be as powerful as lightning. They usually travel in schools and discharge electricity if in danger.”
“I would like to get him while his friends are away.” “Bisharp can you get him?”
“Sharp” he said shaking his head.
“I have to use Rufflet.”
“He’s electric against flying, bad combo.”
“I know but he’s far up there.”
“Not that far, just small.”
“Rufflet go. Slash the Tynamo.”
“Ruff” he cried and launched. They saw the strike; it recoiled and unleashed a wave of electricity. It struck Rufflet and he dropped.
“Thunder Wave, a paralyzing wave of electricity that lingers after the first use.” the Pokédex rang out. Bisharp dashed and caught Rufflet before he smacked the ground.
“Sharp” he said in a I guess I have to do it myself kind of way as he glanced at Patrick as he handed him Rufflet. Bisharp leaped into the air using the wall as a boaster his blades glowed with a purple light as he connected them to the Tynamo. It dropped from the air like a wet rag. He threw the poké ball, it caught it moments before it hit the ground. It wiggled a bit then fell silent. The xtransceiver was beeping again. He hit the Y button again and it glowed and popped open to show transfer complete.
“Hand me Rufflet. I need to remove that paralyzing effect.” She pulled out a bottle and sprayed him with it. He seemed to unstiffen and return back to normal.
“Well that’s two, anymore I need?”
“I want to explore.” Rachael said. “I’m not a trainer I didn’t come to catch Pokémon I came to explore so let’s do that.”
“Lead on my lady.” He said with a sweep of his hand.
“Doofus.” she said smiling and shaking her head at his comment. He just smiled back. They found a set of stairs that lead down. It was dark on the lower level. “I can’t see anything.” Rachael said. CLICK, Light flashed into existence. Patrick had brought flashlights.
“Bis” and he took off running.
“Don’t tell me it’s another Joltik.” he said running after him.
“Harp, Harp, Harp.” he was chanting as he hacked at the wall on the far end of the tunnel.
“What are you doing Bisharp?”
“Bisharp” he said stopping momentarily to motion at the wall as if there was something he wanted.
“I can’t see it if there is. Have at it, they are your blades.” Bisharp glanced at his blades turning them then returned to the hacking at the wall. Then a gold rock fell from the hole he was digging.
“SHARP!” he cried. Patrick picked it up.
“Hey there fella what’s that you got there?” the cry came out of the darkness. The big guy with a backpack and rope wrapped over his shoulder appeared. “Hi, I’m Hiker Bill.”
“Hi.”
“Looks like quite a treasure you got there.”
“Yeah Bisharp here chipped it out of the wall.” Patrick said making the guy aware of the dangerous Pokémon.
“Must have been close to the surface.” Hiker Bill replied.
“STEE!” a deep rumble came from behind Bill.
“What was that?”
“Let me introduce Armor.” He said moving aside as a giant metal face about the size of a midsize car appeared behind him. It was a Steelix. “Are you a treasure hunter kid?”
“No just a kid.”
“This is a good area to look for treasure I find a lot of stones here.”
“Stones?”
“Evolutionary stones they make certain Pokémon change.”
“I open an Antique Shop, once a month usually at the end of the month outside the Pokémon center and sell the things I find. Of course if I found that, I’d sell it, it’s worth a lot of money.”
“I knew you looked familiar.” Rachael said. “I work at the Pokémon center.” She continued.
“Ah that’s good.”
“It was nice to meet you. We are going to go exploring. If I need a stone I’ll be sure to visit your shop.”
“Excellent.” When they were a good distance away, Patrick dropped his voice so it didn’t echo and said.
“That guy gave me the creeps, he appeared seconds after Bisharp found that gold nugget. I thought he was going to steal it.”
“I don’t know him that well but I don’t think he would do that. If he did he couldn’t run his Antique Shop without being accused of theft.”
“He just has an air of creepy that’s all. And what was with the Steelix lurking out of sight?”
“No idea.” she replied.
“KLINK KLINK?” They halted where they were.
“What was that?” he said flashing his light all around. He pulled the Pokédex out.
“No data” it rang out as he pointed it in all directions.
“It probably can’t see it, just like us.” Rachael said. They moved forward slowly following the whirling sound they heard.
“KLINK” they heard again, it sound kind of metallic. Then it appeared at the edge of their light. A pair of grey gear spinning of their own volition. “KLINK.”
“Klink the Gear Pokémon. The two gears that join are predetermined, They will rebound from others without meshing. Interlocking and spinning around generates the energy they need to live.” The Pokédex rang out.
Bisharp stepped up “Bisharp” he said pointing to himself in a I got this manner and then rushed him. He engaged the Klink with blinding speed. The Klink was quick to dodging most of his shots all the time pulling in energy from its surrounding, no one noticed except the Pokédex.
“Charge, using this move will supercharge electric move used afterwards.”
“Bisharp watch out he’s going to strike.” Bisharp then noticed the drawing of power. Just as Klink fired Bisharp dodged. Rachael saw it coming straight at them and tackled Patrick just as the beam flew over their head. He planted a kiss on her.
“I wish we had time for this” she said. “But Bisharp’s in the middle of something.” He got up and saw the Klink hit the ground. He tossed the poké ball yet again. It shook a couple of times then stopped. The xtransceiver beeped and he transferred it as well. “Are you going to keep any with you?”
“Not until I catch one of every kind here.”
“Look another set of stairs and it leads down, let’s go.” she said grabbing his arm and pulling him along.
The second level was even darker than the previous one not to mention there was a strange humming sound that filled your ears, almost as if they were closer to the source of the strange energy that hung in the air of the Chargestone Cave. “It’s darker down here; the flashlights can barely penetrate the darkness.” Rachael said. A blue light up ahead shone into existence. It was one of the moveable rocks. They hugged the wall so they could tell if the wall branched off.
Patrick was in the lead dragging his fingers on the wall when he drew it back quickly, “Ouch dammit! That hurt, what was it?” He turned his flashlight to the wall and saw an eye that looked pissed.
“FERRO.”
“I think you made him mad.” Rachael stated as they backed away. The Ferroseed started to shift and move forward. I hit the ground in a dull clunk.
“FERRO” It stated again. ching, ching, Ferroseed flashed twice. I think he’s getting ready to attack.
“Bisharp step up.”
“Sharp” he was there in a flash.
“FERRO” he launched off several of the missile type projectiles on his body. Bisharp batted them aside as if they were smoke. Then launched his own attack slashing and gouging Ferroseed into submission.
“Ferro” it squeaked out before Bisharp stepped back. He tossed the poké ball, it struck and immediately went still the xtransceiver beeped and he transferred it. They transversed the remainder of the bottom level finding nothing nor any Pokémon he hadn’t already caught.
“Let’s go back up to the top it’s dark and it’s starting to feel as if it’s closeing in on me.” He told her. They made their way back up to the top level.
“By my count you got four.”
“How many different kinds do you suppose are in here?”
“I have no clue but I want one too. You catching them all makes me jealous.”
“Which one do you want?”
“One you don’t have yet.” She said with a grin. About that time the Boldore group they saw earlier was on the move again. “One of them.”
“Really? There are…five I count. This could get dicey.”
“Pull out Palpitoad and don’t be a wuss.” She said causing him to raise his eyebrow at the comment.
“Alright” he said pulling Palpitoad from the bag.
“Sharp.” he heard Bisharp put in. “Palpitoad is better suited to take them.” Bisharp gave a kind of scoff and crossed his arms, which Patrick took to mean Yeah, as well as the bird did?
“Palpitoad.” He said popping out. Her Frillish came out during the conversation with Bisharp. The herd had stopped.
“Ok plan time. We take out all but two, then we catch those two.”
She looked at him in a confused way. “You call that a plan? That’s not a plan.”
“Yeti, I can use him too. Three to five, better odds.” He called him out.
“How about we have Cubby and Frill use Brine and Palpitoad use…What are his moves?” she asked. He pulled out his Pokédex.
“He’s got Muddy Water. It’s in his basic move list and I remember him using it before.”
“The strongest ones will be the last ones standing and those are the ones we want.” She told him.
“Ok, get ready.” They creped the rest of the way to the Boldore. “Yeti get ready, you too Palpitoad. Brine and Muddy water when I say now.” They nodded. He heard Rachael give the same instructions to Frillish. “Ready?”
“NOW!” They both yelled. The herd of Boldore came alive; it looked like a small earthquake as they all began to rise. They were slammed with three water attacks. Unfortunately it didn’t go as well as they had hoped. They all survived the first barrage. “Again!” they yelled.
“DORE” they all cried as small stones around each one of the group glowed and rose, seconds later they were flying at them. They tried to run but a jumble of floating rocks was right behind them. “What the hell happened?” he pointed his Pokédex at the group of Boldore, there was one in the back that failed to join the attack but was awake.
“Stealth rock, it injures Pokémon trying to run and others joining the fight.”
“Palpitoad target the one in the back!” Their Pokémon were still using their water attacks keeping the Boldore at bay. Finally a couple of them dropped under the constant barrage of water, and the others appeared to be weakened. There was three left, they were bigger than the others and throwing bigger stones. Suddenly one rushed forward with surprising speed for a rock and jumped at them. Bisharp out of nowhere intercepted him but there was a massive explosion and Bisharp was thrown to the ground, the Boldore nowhere to be seen.
“Bis…harp” he said raising his hand. Patrick was bending over him.
“Thank you Bisharp, return.” he pointed the poké ball at him. There were two left. Palpitoad’s water stopped. Seconds later Cubchoo’s died too.”
“Snowcone” he called it out. “Blizzard.” It drifted above the Boldore and able to create a blizzard around itself normally it just hovered above them, all the water on the ground froze and the snow started to fall it wasn’t a real blizzard but it was enough to affect the Boldore negatively. They were standing on the frozen water causing them to slip and slide around the area. “Throw your poké ball now.” he said. She threw hers and as it struck, he threw at the other one. Vanillish stopped the snow storm, and floated back to his master. The poké balls were still. They each retrieved their ball, Patrick transferred his. “Let’s get out of here before they wake up.” He said and they ran to the exit.
Once outside Patrick checked the time. It was one thirty “oh shit! We were in there longer than I thought we would be. I have to run or I’ll be late, here.” he said handing her Bisharp “Take him to the center for me please.”
“Sure.” And he was off. She sat down and called out all her Pokémon. Frillish, Audino, Cinccino, and Boldore. She treated Bisharp once he was free of the ball. Audino looked after him after that, as she and the others ate a late lunch. She then packed up and headed to the center to drop off the Pokémon. She included Frillish as she had battled.
She was sitting outside the Pokécenter when Patrick and Greg walked up. “You didn’t wait here the whole time did you?”
“No I sat down about five minutes ago. We were in the park playing tag. Lisa’s waiting for you inside Greg.” she said motioning to the door. He walked in.
“Sorry about the abrupt leave, class slipped my mind.”
“That’s ok I think we explored enough so we don’t have to go back anytime soon.”
“Did you have a nice lunch? I had to eat on the run.”
“Yes, right outside the caves.”
“You mean right after I left?”
“Yes.” She said nonplussed.
“I asked you to take Bisharp to the center…” She held up her hand to stop him.
“I am a nurse, the HEAD NURSE to be accurate, I think I now a little something about treating Pokémon and after I looked him over he wasn’t that bad off, I treated him and my Boldore too before I ate. So there.”
“You’re right, I’m sorry.”
“He’s fine now by the way.” she said tossing him his poké ball.
“Hey guys” Greg aid reappearing in the door. “Y’all want to join us at dinner? I’m still a little nervous around Lisa.” he lowered his voice for the last part.
“Sure we’ll be glad too.” Rachael said immediately.
“Great I’ll tell her.” he turned and headed back in.
“I thought we could have a quiet night at home.” He told her.
“Home?”
“Well your home.”
“That’s the first time you called it that. And if we would be there it would be anything but quiet.” Greg and Lisa appeared in the door at that point.
“We are going to go get cleaned up lets meet at the restaurant in an hour.” Lisa informed them.
“All right sounds good.” Rachael replied.
They got to Rachael’s place in no time, it being so close to the center. They headed to the bedroom, Rachael was stripping on the way. “In a hurry much?” Patrick asked her. She didn’t answer but once they were in the room she grabbed him and threw him on the bed and started ripping off his clothes.
“I’ve wanted you since this morning in the cave.” She growled. She ripped his pants down and was sucking him in no time. She dragged her teeth up his shaft; a shiver ran through his body. She released him from the pleasant torture and crawled up on him. She positioned herself over him and plowed him into her. “OH YEAH” she cried rocking back and forth. He sucked her breasts and as she ran her fingers through his hair. She came in a series of violent shivers and he released into her shortly after. She had collapsed on to him and was lightly kissing his neck.
“We need to shower.” he said.
“Together?” she asked rolling off of him as he got up.
“Well if we don’t we’ll be late.” She grinned and followed him into the bathroom.
They were finished getting dressed and headed out the front door to the street when he said “When we get home it’s your turn.”
“Why did you tell me know? It’s all I’ll be able to think about at dinner.”
“I know.” he said walking off down the street with a smile.
The restaurant wasn’t far from her place one reason she loved to go there. Lisa and Greg were already there.
“We thought you got tied up.” Lisa said as they arrived.
“That comes later.” Patrick replied with a very Lisa type comment. Lisa gave him an evil grin. Rachael slapped him on the shoulder. Greg wasn’t completely oblivious to that comment but chose to ignore it, just in case Lisa got any ideas. As they got a table Greg asked.
“Oh, why were you almost late today? You said you were busy. Doing what?”
“Probably Rachael” Lisa interjected.
“No.” Rachael clarified quickly. “We were exploring the Chargestone Caves. We got caught up in a battle that was a bit of a problem.”
“Against?” Greg asked.
“A group of Boldores, about five.”
“Five Boldores and you won? What did you use?”
“My Palpitoad and Yeti and Rachael’s Frillish. I called out Snowcone near the end and he helped finished them off.”
“Yeti, Snowcone? What are you talking about?” Lisa asked highly confused.
“It’s the names I gave to some of my Pokémon, Yeti is a Cubchoo and Snowcone is a Vanillish.”
“Oh I see. It makes more sense now.”
“I think I caught just about every type of Pokémon in the Caves today.”
“How many?”
“Five.”
“Wow, you were busy today.” Greg continued the conversation.
“Yeah, nearly made me late too.”
“But you weren’t.”
“How many more of these classes are you going to have?” Rachael asked.
“I think it was one, right?”
“Yeah tomorrow is the last one.” Greg answered. The conversation drifted to different things as their food arrived and slowly dwindled till there was little left to talk about.
“Well it’s getting late I say we call it a night.” Rachael said.
“Yeah some of us have to work tomorrow.” Lisa said. They got up and left.
“I have to make a quick stop and the Poké center before we go home.” Patrick said.
He was back out in almost no time, “What did you need?”
“Just had to check something.” He said. They arrived back home shortly after that. “You go get ready I’m going to take care of the Pokémon.”
She stripped and laid down on the bed waiting for him. He got to the door and called in “Close your eyes.”
“Am I going to get a big surprise?” She asked.
“Oh yeah.” he said. She felt something wrap around her ankles and pull them apart then the same thing around her wrist pulling them apart leaving her spread eagle and to her utter surprise, bound.
“What the hell?” she exclaimed.
“I told Lisa tied up came later.” Then she saw the Joltik he caught sitting at the foot of the bed it was what had bound her so quickly.
“You naughty boy! Using your Pokémon as sex toys.”
“Joltik head back to the other room.”
“That’s what you got from the Poké center!” realization dawned on her face. He just smiled. He shed his clothes and climbed up between her legs and lightly traced his hands up and down her legs causing her to squirm. He lightly tickled the bottom of her feet. He laid down on top of her and starting at her lips he slowly kissed down her body stopping at her breast to suck each one till it was stiff, then continued his way down. He got to her legs and just to torment her he continued down to her feet. She was crying, moaning and squirming in pleasure. “Please, please.” she gasp. He made his way back up her other leg and stopped just next to her pussy. She was begging now. He blew across the top of her clit causing her to cum. He licked her pussy, and then drove his tongue in hard, she came again. He sucked her dry then licked her clean. “Give it to me please” she cried.
He got on his knees and drove into her, gaining speed with each thrust. After several minutes her crying in pleasure the entire time, he managed to say “I’m gonna blow.”
“DO IT!” she cried, and they came together. He lowered himself on top of her and rested his head on her heaving breasts. Several minutes pasted and he was close to falling asleep when she said “That was wonderful, but do you think you can cut me down now?”
“You’re off tomorrow right?”
“Yeah?” she answered in a confused voice.
“I’m going to leave you there so you are at my mercy.” He got up and headed for the door.
“You’re not seriously going to leave me here?”
He got the knife from the pocket of his pants that were on the floor. “Of course not.” He cut her bounds, and her limbs went slack.
“We really should do that again.” She said. “It was so exciting!” he climbed into the bed and laid down, she threw her arm over him as they fell into a blissful sleep.
He woke up to find her gone from the bed. He wondered into the kitchen, she was absent from there as well. I wonder where she is? he thought. He headed to the spare bedroom and there she was with her Pokémon. “Oh hey, good morning. I’ve been neglecting my Pokémon so I decided to spend some time with them. I don’t know anything about Boldore can you get your Pokédex out?”
“Boldore the Ore Pokémon he is the evolved form of Roggenrola. When it overflows with power the orange crystals on its back glow and often causes new crystal growth as well. The energy emitted when traded will cause this Pokémon to evolve.”
“Really?” Patrick asked but of course the Pokédex didn’t answer.
“Where can we trade Pokémon?” he asked Rachael.
“You want to trade him?”
“I figure we can trade with each other.”
“You do know without badges some traded Pokémon won’t listen to you?”
“Well then we trade them back after they evolve.”
“Ok that’s sounds like a good idea. Let’s go get dressed, there is a trade station at the Pokémon center.”
They arrived at the center a short time later. “It’s over in the corner next to the PC.” Rachael pointed out.
“I saw it yesterday, I was wondering what it was. Since I don’t usually use it I hadn’t checked it out before.” Patrick withdrew his Boldore from the PC. Then they placed their Boldores on the pads. Rachael pressed the button and the balls entered the machine and ejected on the opposite sides. There both of them popped open and both Boldore glowed and grew about three feet till they stood a little higher than Patrick and Rachael. Not wanting to see if they would obey or not they recalled them and traded back. Patrick called his out again. “I think I’m going to call you General Tragg, Tragg for short.” He withdrew all the rest of the Pokémon he caught yesterday and they returned home.
They were sitting on the couch watching a movie from her collection. When out of the blue she said “I want you to move in.”
“Really?”
“It makes more since than going all the way home every day after work and it would be cheaper than getting your own apartment. Unless you don’t want to move in?” She questioned
“No, no, no that’s not it at all.” He said without hesitation. “I was just thinking what my parents would think or say.”
“Tonight we can go and ask them.”
“Oh that sounds like a fun conversation.” He said then stepped out of the room to call his parents to let them know they were coming over for dinner. “You want to stay in all day?” he asked on his return.
“Yes.” She said. “I haven’t spent any time with my Pokémon in a while so that’s what I’m going to do today. You could do the same.”
“I’ll get to know the new ones, if I let all mine out it will get crowded quick.” He said looking at his thirteen poké balls. He let out Joltik, Tynamo, Klink, Ferroseed, and Tragg. She was combing Cinccino’s hair, when she heard him calling them names.
“What are you doing?” she called to him as he was across the room.
“I’m naming them, it’s supposed to reinforce your relationship and endow trust.”
“Where did you hear that?”
“I saw it on Prof. Juniper’s website.”
“Really? Ok what did you name Joltik’s?”
“Widow.”
“Really, Widow?” she shook her head, “Ok, what about the Ferroseed?”
“Spike.”
“A bit obvious don’t you think?”
“Before you ask, I call him Mechanicum.” he said pointing to Klink. She just raised her eyebrow quizzically. “Oh yeah the others were going to meet early so we could have a few friendly Pokémon battles. You want to come?”
“Am I allowed there?”
“Yeah it should be fine. Greg said Lisa was going to be there.”
“She’s working today.”
“It’s at noon, lunchtime, so maybe that’s why.”
“Ok I’ll come.” she agreed.
“We need to have lunch early.”
At ten thirty they left to have an early lunch, and then headed to the Wildlife Park. They saw Lisa and Greg walking ahead of them.
“Hey Greg.” They stopped and waited for them to catch up.
“Getting there early?” Greg asked.
“Yeah, need to make sure no one has a Pokémon that will cause Bisharp to flip out and kill them.”
They saw that Jess and Alex were already there talking. Rachael evaluated Alex the tall blonde one. She was strikingly beautiful. She had long straight blonde hair and a large chest that she accentuated with tight shirts and a short skirt to show off her long legs. Jess on the other hand had shorter shoulder length black hair with a streak of pink that fell so it covered one of her eyes, she was smaller than Alex in the chest, about the same as Rachael and just as tall. She was wearing a loose tank top that was ripped to show off her midriff and a pair of jeans. Rachael thought she looks a little tomboyish or punk rock.
“Now let me tell you now Rachael, Jess is a huge flirt so don’t read anything into it.” “Hey Alex, Jess.” Patrick said walking up
“Helllooo sweetie” Jess said. Giving him a hug and kiss on the cheek. Rachael could have killed her if Patrick hadn’t of told her about how she was.
“Hi” said Alex giving a wave.
“What kind of Pokémon do you have?” he asked them.
“I have a Pignite and a Scrafty.” Alex said.
“What do you have Jess?”
“I don’t think I should tell you until we battle.”
“I don’t want to use Bisharp then.”
“Why?” Alex and Jess asked in unison.
“Well if you have one of the Pokémon that attacked him recently he will kill them, he’s holding a grudge. I don’t want your Pokémon to be killed.”
“Well in that case I got a Sigilyph I call him Sigi, Carracosta, Yamask, Mandibuzz, and my rarest, Volcarona, but I didn’t bring him or Braviary. After the fight I want to hear this story.”
“Me too.” Alex said.
“Aren’t you going to introduce me?” Rachael said walking up.
“I was just about to, Alex, Jess this is Rachael. Rachael, Alex and Jess.” motioning to them both as he said their name. Although Rachael already knew which was which.
“You’re right she is beautiful.” Jess said to Patrick.
“Where you talking about me?” Rachael asked.
“When we were at the training he mentioned you several times, he was feeling home sick.” Jess put in. “You are really lucky, if he wasn’t with you, I’d take him.” Jess said with a good-natured smile.
“Well let’s get these battles started.” Alex said.
“Let’s lay down the rules and get this party started!” Jess called out forcefully. Jess grabbed Patrick “I want to see this crazy Bisharp of yours so you fight me. Alex you and Greg. I’m going to use my Carracosta, so you have no type advantage. Get out your Bisharp.”
“BISHARP” he came out swinging as always. The Carracosta was squatty, but it looked powerful. Think shell, body armor, and a faceplate not to mention the three blade like devices on her flippers and a tail that could possibly put a hole in a building. Bisharp busied himself sharping his blades. Jess watched him curiously.
“Does he always do that?”
“Yeah.” At the question Bisharp stopped in mid-stoke and glanced in her direction.
“Alright, I’ll be referee for this match. 1-on-1, first to knock out their opponent wins.” Greg stepped up. “To your starting positions.”
Patrick motioned to Bisharp, “This is just a fun battle don’t kill them.”
“Bis…” he said in an I know that way.
“Ready…GO!”
“Aqua Jet!” The word go had barely left Greg’s mouth and she was already on the attack.
“Iron Defense!” He called just in time. The water broke around him causing little damage.
“Aqua Tail!”
“Iron Defense” again. Carracosta’s tail slammed into him causing him to slide but little damage. “Quick, retaliate with Night Slash.” With superb accuracy he stuck her between her armor in the chest casuing her to stagger back.
“Smack Down” Carracosta raised her right fin and spun to the right getting the most speed and distance she could before the move struck. It connected with Bisharp’s head sending him flying. Bisharp stood up and looked pissed.
”He doesn’t like being hit.” Patrick called to Jess.
“Then he’s going to be really mad after this.” She called back.
“Aqua Tail.”
“Iron Defense.” Seeing him just stand there. “Bisharp Iron Defense.” He just stood there measuring distance. Jess looked surprised he didn’t respond to the command. As Carracosta’s tail came flying towards him he dodged and connecting with nothing she spun, Bisharp slammed her with his head blade at extreme force.
He hit her in the back Jess cried in joy “He missed.” Then her face turned to shock as the shell cracked and fell off. Now with the sudden loss of the weight Carracosta fell over and Bisharp Night Slashed her again this time across her back. Carracosta started to rise and Bisharp hit her again. She was down.
“Stop.” Greg called.
“Bisharp winner.”
“You sure?” Rachael asked him.
“Yeah, he will continue to slash her every time she tries to rise.” Jess walked over and congratulated Patrick.
“He really is something.” She said.
“Yeah, something crazy.”
“True.” she said.
“He just stopped listening didn’t he?”
“Yeah he does that.” He said shaking his head.
“Will your Carracosta be alright?” he said glancing at it as it picked up the top of its shell. Bisharp was holding the lower half.
“Yeah she will be fine, she knows a move, Shell Smash, where she will drop all her armor, it makes her stronger and faster but more susceptible to damage. It will take time but it will repair.”
“I can speed that up.” Rachael said. “Audino.”
“Audin!”
“Bisharp hold the shell in place.” He held it to the top half after it was on Carracosta’s back. “Heal Pulse.”
“Au, din, o!” she cried as she sent the healing beam at them.
“I love traveling with a nurse.” Patrick commented.
“Alright next fight!” Jess said in her upbeat manner.
“I’ll ref it.” Patrick said. Alex called out her Scrafty.
“SCCCRAFTYYY” it cried.
“Heatmor!” Greg’s Pokémon cried jumping from the poké ball.
“When did you get that?” Patrick asked.
“Shortly after we got back, same time I got Durant.”
“Didn’t know you had that one either.” He added under his breath. He looked at the Scrafty, it had a huge crest on his head, she was three feet tall, but in all other ways she looked scrawny, not powerful at all. He looked back at Heatmor. He on the other hand was big and bulky. Four feet tall with huge razor sharp claws for hands and breathing fire.
“Same rules. Ready…GO!”
“Hi Jump Kick” Alex called first she flew across the field and collided with Heatmor sending him reeling.
He regained his footing, “Flamethrower.” The field was consumed in fire and nothing could be seen.
“Focus Punch.” Scrafty flew out of the fire like Superman fist forward and slammed into Heatmor’s head, he hit the ground. “Head Smash.” She cried. Just as Heatmor was back on his feet Scrafty head-butted him with massive force, he was launched about ten feet before he hit the ground again.
“Stop, over.”
“Wow” Greg said. “Three attacks and it’s over. I should have used Krokorok.”
“Well those are her three best moves. You see that crest?” she said pointing at Scrafty’s head. “She was the Alpha in the group, that is until I caught her.”
“Heal Pulse.” Rachael used it on Heatmor. “If you hand him over to Lisa she can take them to the center. You want her to take your Carracosta Jess?”
“If it’s not too much trouble.” She handed over the poké ball.
“After class you can swing by and pick her up.” Lisa told her.
“Well we are going to leave you here for your class, see you later.” Rachael said as she and Lisa turned.
“Bye Greg.” Lisa called waving.
“Bye.” He mumbled back.
“It’s not fair; those girls get the good guys.” Patrick heard Alex say to Jess. Jess merely chuckled.
It was half pasted five and Rachael was standing at the front desk with Lisa talking. When she heard a group come in, she turned and saw Patrick and Greg with the girls. Lisa placed the balls on the desk.
“Here you go.” they were labeled so as not to get mixed up, except for Jess’s it had a weird design on it.
“They are all better.”
“Next time we fight I will use Krokorok and dazzle you with blinding speed.” He said. Lisa was confused at his totally at ease manner. Alex was very similar to her and he mumbled to the ground every time they were together. Lisa quickly and quietly made Rachael aware of this. She merely shrugged just as confused.
“Oh you never told us the story of your crazy Bisharp.” Jess said remembering. They all sat down on the couch that was in the waiting room as Patrick recounted to story again.
“So what are you going to do about this Rainbow Gang?” Jess asked smiling at the child like name Patrick had made for them.
“If I see them again I’ll turn Bisharp loose. I hope they can run fast.”
“So what was this class about?”
“Mostly just the menial stuff, measured for our uniforms, but we were assigned our areas today. I have Psychic, Dark, Ghost and Dragon.”
“I got Rock, Ground, Poison, and Ice.” Greg put in.
“That sounds great. As soon as it’s open we will stop by.” Lisa said.
“Well I’m going to head out.” Jess said getting up “Later.” She added with a wave.
“Yeah I need to go too.” Alex said with a wave as well.
“Bye.” They said as they waved to them both.
Lisa waited till they were gone then said “They like you. Jess likes Patrick and Alex likes you Greg.”
“Yeah we know, it’s hard not to.”
“She better not put her hands on you.” Rachael said.
“Where you not there earlier?”
“Well, you know what I mean.” She amended.
“Well we have a date to night. We should go get ready.”
“Yeah I guess.” Patrick replied.
“You don’t seem really happy about it.” Lisa asked.
“It with his parents, about moving in with me.”
“Oh I see. Have fun with that. Greg and I are going to the movies.”
“We are?”
“We are now, I want to go.” she replied.
They got cleaned up and headed to his parent’s house. They arrived a little before dinner and sat in the living room with his dad.
“So what was so important that you decided to grace us with your presence?” he asked with a smile to imply he wasn’t angry.
“I know I haven’t been around much but I’ve been busy with classes and training my Pokémon.”
“Really? Training, is that required or is it just something you decided to do?”
“I just decided I should do it, after a few evolved just by doing normal things, and a few unpleasant encounters, I decided I needed to be prepared for whatever may come along.” At that point his mother walked in.
“Have I missed anything? She asked.
“No, he still hasn’t gotten to the Unova shattering news yet.” His dad said.
“Well do we have to wait until dinner is over or are you going to tell us now?” his mom asked.
“I guess it’s the same either way.” Rachael said. “I want Patrick to move into my place.” They were quiet for several seconds. With him staying there it was quite obvious what was going on but this was like saying it out loud.
“Well that is a bit on a bombshell.” His dad finally said.
“There are several reasons.” Patrick put in.
“That are…?” his dad said.
“It’s a lot closer to where I will be working and without a car it’d be a bit of walk from here every day.”
“And?” his dad said again.
“Uh…”
“It’s a lot cheaper.” Rachael said coming to the rescue.
“How?” his mom asked although she had a slight clue.
“He’d have to get his own place and I now from experience the cheap places aren’t places you want to live and there are few and far between good apartments.” She said.
“You got a good point there. I just don’t think I’m comfortable with it.” his dad said barely containing his laughter and keeping a straight face.
“But I’ve been staying there for weeks!” “Yeah and I think it’s time you stopped.” He said with a snort but quickly turned it into a cough.
“Are you serious?” he asked totally confused. His dad trying so hard to keep the straight face and not laugh could only nod his head. He just looked a Rachael in total shock and confusion. She looked back just as shocked. Finally his dad lost it and burst out laughing, his mom was the one to remain stable.
“We are sorry but we had a feeling this was what you were going to ask and we decided to play with you a little.”
“It’s not funny.” he said.
“But it is, it is.” His dad managed to put in finally containing himself. “No seriously, we are fine with you staying there.”
“Just be sure to pay your share of the rent.” His mom said.
“Oh boy, more spending money.” Rachael said.
“We can pack your things tomorrow; your mom can stay and help you. I have to tend to the gardens tomorrow. Got three new greenhouses going up.”
“You’re expanding?” Patrick asked.
“Yeah, you shouldn’t be surprised we’ve been talking about it for months.”
“Cough gone three months cough.”
“Oh right. It was right after you left we were approached by a large distributor. We finally got the details worked out and to fill the order they want we have to expand.”
“We were going to tell you after you got back but you were gone a lot.” his mom added on.
“That sounds great.”
“Oh there’s the timer, it’s time for dinner.”
They stayed the night and the next morning they started packing his things away. When his dad got home they loaded all in the car and hauled it to Rachael’s apartment. They stacked the boxes in the living room. “We will unpack it all tomorrow.” Rachael said as they hauled in the last boxes.
“Well I’m beat I’m going to hit the bed.” He said.
“How about we cuddle on the couch? We can watch a movie.”
“Ok but I’ll probably fall asleep during it.”
“That’s fine as long as you’re holding me.” She put on a movie grabbed the blanket and sure enough half way through it he was out. After the movie ended she roused him and they moved to the bed.
He set up his computer first thing, he had instructions that they would be sending him as to his team and when he should come in for final prep and opening day. He opened his email and found out tomorrow was meet your team day and in two weeks opening day. “Looks like tomorrow I meet my underlings at around ten o’clock. And the park opens in two weeks.”
“Good you need to start pulling your weight round here. You get off far too easy.”
“So do you.” He said grabbing her ass as he pulled her into a hug.
“Bad boy!” she said slapping him on the chest. “Come on, let’s unpack your junk and go to lunch.”
“It’s only nine!”
“By the time we get finished it will be lunch, so let’s go.” They worked clear until lunchtime and a little into that just to be finished. It wasn’t all unpacking, mostly rearranging her things so he had some place to put his clothes, and placing his desk with his computer took some time before everything else. They grabbed a quick lunch at the deli and took it to the fountain in the park, it had tables and with a nice breeze that was blowing, it was pleasant. The weather predicted within the next few days the temperature would begin to drop and winter would be in full swing, it was their last chance for a nice out door lunch.
“Oh shit.” Patrick said after about twenty minutes. “Rainbow Gang twelve o clock.” he said.
“There goes our peaceful lunch.” Rachael said.
“They are headed right at us too.”
“We could leave now and get away…”
“Run? From them, oh hell no! Oh, and Raven is with them too.”
“Fight or talk I wonder which they will pick?” Rachael asked.
“I pick fight.” He called out Bisharp, Golem, Gigalith, and Zoroark. His four biggest and baddest. They hesitated as they saw his Pokémon appear but kept coming anyway. As soon as they got about ten feet from him he said. “I’ll have you know Bisharp has orders to kill your Pokémon and if I were you I would turn and leave now unless you want several funerals in your future.” Kris started to talk; he just turned to Rachael and said “Looks like Celestial Tower is going to be packed.”
“You should at least hear them out.” Rachael said, Kris had stopped talking realizing she was being ignored.
“No I don’t think so. Leave.” He added to the Rainbow Gang.
As they turned to leave he heard part of Raven’s comment. “Not even pretty.”
“Bisharp.” he said motioning to him. He whispered in his ears Bisharp’s eyes flashed and he was off. He grabbed Raven by her long hair and with pristine accuracy he sliced it at the base of her skull leaving it hanging down no longer than an inch. She screamed and ran off, her friends took off after her shooting Bisharp with shocked horrified looks. Bisharp returned with the hair and presented it to Patrick. “Good job Bisharp. I think I should call you Slice from now on.”
“Bisharp.”
“Oh you like that?”
“Harp”
“Well then Slice it is.”
“Bisharp.” He said with a look that said I’ve been telling you that since you caught me.
“How about we battle?” Rachael asked.
“Really? You don’t have a lot of fighters though.”
“I got Giga.” I named him Giga.”
“Nice.” He said thinking it’s not very creative but it’s a start. “Name any of the others?”
“Cinccino. I call her Voice.”
“Very fitting.” He said remembering her Hyper Voice attack.
“Back to my topic how about we go Gigalith to Gigalith. Try them out see how powerful they are.”
“Alright.” He said. She called out hers and Patrick had his following him to the other side of small grass clearing nearby. “This would be fine but there are no rocks around here, most of their moves wouldn’t work.”
“Yeah you’re right.” She decided to forgo the battle and they spent the rest of the afternoon laying under a tree relaxing with Bisharp on guard.
The next day he woke up first and had a slight impulse to wake her up with a pillow like she is so thrilled to do, it passed. He moved real close to her and kissed her on the cheek as he couldn’t reach her mouth. He kissed his way down her body, pulling the covers down as he moved lower. Luckily she was on her back or it would have been more difficult. He uncovered her breasts, her nipples were already hard from the passion she was getting from him. He sucked one then the other, she let out a moan. He moved on kissing his way down her stomach and all the way to her shaved pussy. He lightly licked her, up and down. He sucked her clit causing her to buck each time he flicked it with his tongue. She was mumbling incoherently now, he got on his knees and gently placed his dick in her and slowly moved forward and back gaining speed with each thrust. After several minutes she came shaking and bucking wildly, he took that as his cue and came in her. “Oh, oh, oh, oh.” She panted trying to find words. He moved up and gave her a kiss. “Best way to wake up.” she said finally able to talk again. He left to take a shower, when he came back out she was back asleep.
“Hey Rachael.” he said lightly shaking her. “You need to get up before I leave.”
Her eyes flew open “What? Leave?” she asked confused.
“I have to go to the park at ten today to meet my crew.”
“Oh right.” she said sitting up allowing the covers to fall off her body. She wasn’t wearing anything anymore, she was last night but they disappeared quickly thereafter. “Well let me get dressed. What time is it?” She asked.
“It’s like eight.” He replied.
“What are we going to do today? There isn’t much time before you leave.”
“I was thinking breakfast at that new diner that opened last week and then I have to leave. I don’t know when I will be home but if it’s not too late we can think of something. You are off today and the next two days right?”
“Yeah. Then back to work early the next day, so no late nights on that last one.”
“Well dress warmly it got cold last night.”
They arrived at the diner half an hour later, they found a table and ordered. “So you know my schedule have you planned anything special?”
“That’s kind of hard when I don’t know what’s going on from day to day with this new job. I was thinking a little Pokémon hunting tonight and tomorrow. When I get home we head out and since we don’t have anything to do ‘hopefully’ tomorrow we can spend the day at Twist Mountain.”
“Twist Mountain? There are a lot of strong Pokémon there.” She said.
“That’s why you’re there. Well your Audino anyway. She can keep our Pokémon in top condition. I want you to get supplies you think we will need while I’m at this meet and greet, and then we can head out as soon as I get home.”
“Ok I can do that.” she said. He smiled thinking of his ulterior motive for going. There was a type of Pokémon he needed, two actually, and through his research he learned one was at Twist Mountain.
He arrived back at the apartment around noon. Rachael was watching TV when he got there. “Wow that took a while.” She said as he walked in.
“Yeah we had a walk around the area we were going to be the supervisor of. So did you get everything we need?”
“Yeah it’s all packed up right next to the door.” He glanced down and saw the two packs.
“Ok looks good. Let’s go.” She grabbed her Pokémon and they headed out the door.
They were all the way to the split in the road that lead to Twist Mountain and the other lead to Celestial Tower. “Do you mind if we swing by the tower for a little bit?”
“Of course not.” She replied. They took the path to the tower. Meinfoo was on the third floor close to the back. We weaved his way through the rows till he saw it. Rachael hung back to give him some alone time. He got up a short time later; she then went over to pay her respects. As they were headed back to the stairs they heard the sky roar and rumble.
“That doesn’t sound promising.” Patrick commented.
“We should be fine.” Rachael reassured him not sounding totally convinced by her own voice.
Rain started to lightly fall as they stepped outside. “If it doesn’t get any worse we should be fine.” He said. On the way back to the split in the road it opened up. It was like a water hose was opened above them. Rachael pulled her scooter off the road and under a tree.
“I can’t drive in this kind of weather.” She commented. The tree was wide and low to the ground, it blocked out a great amount of the rain, very little filtered down through the leaves and hit them. With the rolling in of the storm the sky had turned black as pitch. They decided to set up a small camp, hopefully the storm would pass quickly. They pulled out the blanket to set on the ground and lanterns to give them some visibility. They set up a small tent, one had come with each backpack, As it was cold, close to freezing temperatures the rain was like ice shards falling, and falling at that speed it was painful. They had huddled in the tent opening as the hours passed, there was no way to close it, also under several blankets she had packed as well as the rain was showing no signs of letting up.
“I’m glad you came prepared. I wouldn’t have brought extra blankets. Did you anticipate rain?”
“No, I packed the sleeping bags but there isn’t room for two in them, so I added blankets so we could be close if we wanted to.” She said with a certain insinuation.
“Really?” he said pulling her even closer.
“Yeah but the rain and the cold kind of kills the mood.”
They were sitting in the tent with her snuggled against his chest so they had body warmth and could share the blankets. The steady falling of the rain caused them to doze off. Patrick was awoken by something, it took him a while as his brain reengaged that it was the rain, it had let up to a lite drizzle. The only problem was it was late at night, the rain had started around two and continued to about eight. He was sitting there holding Rachael while she slept on. It was awhile before he realized what he was seeing. He just thought it was a lantern carried by a person on the road. But it wasn’t from the direction of the road, and it wasn’t as far away as the road would be, it was small with a light blue light. He pulled the Pokédex, and pointed it.
“Litwick, the Candle Pokémon. The light of Litwick uses the life energy of people and Pokémon as fuel that it burns; it pretends to be a guide and leeches life from those foolish enough to follow it.”
“Litwick.” Patrick repeated. He scanned through the specification of him. It was a duel type, Ghost/fire. “Fire!” he cried out, it was one of the types he didn’t have. At the outcry Rachael was awakened.
“What? Where is it?”
“Where’s what?”
“You yelled fire.” she said.
“I was talking about Litwick over there.” He got up and called out Zoroark. “Wait here.”
“The hell with that! I’m coming with!” They stalked after the Litwick, keeping its light in sight at all times as they gained ground on it.
“Zoroark get its attention with Faint Attack.”
“Zor.” He nodded and sped off. They followed him. Zoroark struck the unaware Pokémon from behind completely blindsiding it. It rolled end over end for several feet. It rebounded to its ‘feet’. It launched a wave of fire at Zoroark, who quickly dodged it.
“Night Slash it Zoroark.”
“ZOR!” he flew towards the Litwick with his claws back, then rakes them across Litwick’s waxy body. Patrick quickly launches a Poké ball at Litwick, while it’s still dazed by the attack. Three wiggles, a bong, and he was caught. Patrick transferred him. They all returned to the campsite.
“I say we stay here tonight and continue on tomorrow.” Patrick suggests.
“It’s a little late to continue.” Rachael agreed. “But I think we should have something for dinner.” She opened up the second backpack and pulled out sandwiches, fried chicken and potato salad.
“I remember when we had this at our special place…wait, you can’t cook, where did you get it?”
“Took you awhile to make that connection. The same place I got it last time, the deli at the corner.”
“I thought that was new?”
“It’s on another corner. I use to eat there a lot. It’s close to Penelope’s place and we use to eat there after work. They do take-out orders. I buy my Poké food too you know?”
“Yeah I know that, I’ve seen the box.” She slapped at him playfully. They finished eating, wrapped themselves in their sleeping bags and fell asleep.
They woke up the next morning to a lite dusting of snow and ice all around them. Luckily they had packed warm clothes and jackets. They packed up the campsite and headed off to Twist Mountain without any delay. “We really should have something for breakfast.” Rachael said after they had been going for several minutes.
“When we reach the base of the mountain we can stop.” Patrick replied.
In no time flat they were staring up at the immense sight that was Twist Mountain. It was just there, filling up the range of their sight, left, right, up, and down was, Twist Mountain. “I’ve got to tell you why I wanted to come here.” He said as they sat down for breakfast, which was actually lunch sense it was closer.
“Really, ok go.”
“I need a fighting Pokémon.” He said with apprehension in his voice.
“You say it like it’s a bad thing.” She replied seeing the look of she's going to hate me for this on his face.
“You don’t care?”
“Why would I?”
“I don’t know, I just figured…” he let the sentence hang.
“You have to help me.” She started.
“With what?”
“I was reading a magazine when you got home, and I saw this Pokémon in the article, he was so cute, I want one.”
“Do you know where to get one?”
“No that’s why I need your help. Can you check your Pokédex and tell me where they are?”
“Sure, what’s the name?”
“Axew.”
“Axew? Spell it.”
“A-X-E-W.”
“Axew. Located in…Mistralton Cave, which is through the Chargestone Caves.” He said checking the directions in his Pokédex.
“Oh damn, how do I get there?”
“We can get you one, we can find a way. Are there any Pokémon on Twist Mountain that you want?”
“I don’t know, let’s see what we find when we get in there.”
After a quick lunch, they feed their Pokémon too; they headed off into the unknown of Twist Mountain.
They wound their way through the maze of tunnels that weaved about the bowels of the mountain. “Now I know why they call it Twist Mountain.” Patrick commented as they took yet another turn.
“Oddly it’s not that dark in here.” Rachael said holding her unused flashlight.
“Wait, stop.” The tunnels weren’t bright but they were lit enough to allow walking without blindly groping the walls.
“What?”
“I saw something on the wall up there move.” He said. She turned on the flashlight, it was already pointed at the spot and unfortunately there was a Cryogonal hanging against it.
“CRYO!” It cried out in its deep voice as the blinding LED light momentarily blinded him.
“Cryogonal, the Crystallizing Pokémon. This Pokémon is believed to form in snow clouds. When its temperature rises it turns into steam and vanishes. It reforms when its body temperature lowers again.” The Pokédex spoke.
“You want it?” he asked her.
“I don’t like the cold, he would be steam at my place, our place, sorry.” She said.
“Well he’s ice and fires good to that, but you can’t catch steam so, Slice.” He tossed the ball and his Bisharp popped out.
“Sharp.”
“Night Slash!” The Cryogonal recoiled and retaliated with an Ice Beam. Slice moved but not fast enough, it caught him freezing his left side and securing him to the ground. He tried in vain to pull his leg free but with no success. He started to chisel his leg free and would have succeeded had Cryogonal not shot him with another Ice Beam fully freezing him. “I guess I can use Litwick.” He said tossing his poké ball. “Flame Burst on Slice Litwick.” He had no intention of losing Cryogonal. If he freed Slice he could continue the fight.
“LIT!” he shouted engulfing Slice’s ice sculpture in flame. A few seconds passed and then Slice burst out of the fire flying at Cryo slashing him with Night Slash again and again. When Cryogonal fell to the ground Slice finally relented and jumped back. Patrick threw his transfer poké ball and the Cryogonal was caught.
“Not the one I came for, but whatever.”
“So what fighting types are here anyway?”
“Well the dex says Gurdurr is fairly common. I just hope I find one.”
“Let’s keep moving, we are bound to run across one sooner or later.” Rachael said in her upbeat manner.
They had been searching for hours, dodging Boldores and Woobats, and the occasional Cryogonal. “Are you sure you don’t want a Woobat?” he asked again with a grin.
“That thing is creepy.” She said her pitch rising, causing it to turn in their direction. They dived around a corner to avoid it. At the end of the tunnel they dove into they saw a short Pokémon standing at the other end digging at its feet. “What is that?” Rachael asked.
“Drilbur the Mole Pokémon. It makes it way swiftly through the soil by putting its claws together and rotating at high speeds. It can reach up to 30 mph.”
“I want that one.” Rachael said. “Frillish would be good, its ground.” Frillish popped out silently and glided up to the unaware Drilbur. When she was right behind it she unleashed bubblebeam. The Drilbur rolled several times until it hit the wall; it pushed itself up and shook its head. Drilbur clasped his hands together and dug into the ground. “He got away.” Rachael said.
“He didn’t go anywhere.”
“Have Frillish fill the hole with water. NOW!” He told her. No sooner had Frillish started the Brine attack on the hole did Drilbur come up right under Frillish slamming her with its Dig attack. Being a superior type she wasn’t hurt that bad, but it gave Drilbur time to launch another attack. Metal claw, it raked Frillish with its claws causing her to fall.
“Cinccino Hyper Voice.” Rachael seeing what was going to happen had called out Cinccino and countered with a brutal retaliation. The Drilbur dropped to the ground its hand over its head trying to block out the high pitched wail. She threw a poké ball, Drilbur too overwhelmed by the noise didn’t try to fight the capture. “I got it!” Rachael cried. She called it back out. Cinccino had ceased the wailing when Drilbur was in the ball. She treated Frillish with a potion and she seemed to be fine. They were on the ground level in the middle of Twist Mountain, when they stopped again to take a break and to get a snack.
“I haven’t seen one Gurdurr.” He was checking his Pokédex. “It says Mienfoo are in Icirrus City, damn can’t get there and back home in time to not make you late.” She had a surprised look on her face.
“You want another Mienfoo?”
“Well none of them can ever replace Mienfoo, and I’ll always remember him. He was a great Pokémon; but I see no reason not to get another one.” He explained. “A Gurdurr is just as good, but I want another Mienfoo.”
“You will never be totally over his loss will you?”
“Some days are easier to deal with, lately it’s been easy, you’re here with me, and with you everything is better. It’s getting late should be head back?”
“I’m off tomorrow, then back to work in the morning, so I say if we can’t find one today we camp here and spend half of tomorrow trying then head home around noon.”
“I don’t want to cause you to be late. If we go back now tomorrow will be boring, and I can’t stand boring.” She said.
“Ok we’ll stay.”
“Audino use Heal Pulse on Frillish and Slice.”
They were back in the tunnels. They were moving along when Patrick finally stopped Rachael “Do you hear that too?” They stood in silence.
“TINK, TINK, TINK, TINK, TINK, TINK.”
“Yes.”
“It’s faint but I can’t think of what is making that sound. I think it’s down this way. It’s been getting louder as we moved this way.” They moved down the tunnel. The sound grew louder and louder. Finally they rounded a corner and there was a guy in a hardhat and coveralls with a hammer and chisel, hacking away at the wall.
“Excuse me sir, what are you doing?” Rachael inquired. He looked up surprised.
“Sorry didn’t hear you arrive. I’m looking for fossils.” He gestured to several wooden crates, some were full, three fossils apiece with hay packed around them. Others were half full and some empty. Rachael looked at all the fossils. “Some are rare in Unova others are common.” he again gestured to one of the boxes that were closed those are all the same.” Rachael had picked up an Amber ball.
“Which one is this?”
“Oh careful, very rare, it’s an Aerodactyl. I’m shipping them all to the museum in Nacrene City. You kids want one? I got several of these. They have a way to rejuvenate Fossil Pokémon don’t ask me how but they do it. So what do you say?”
“You can do that?” Patrick asked.
“People dig for their own all the time they don’t have to know I gave them to you. In fact here you go missy, you can have this one, and I’m digging one out now I have one of it already.” he chisel a little more and it slipped free. “Here, you can have this one son.”
“Thank you!” they said together.
“If you’re interested I can get you started as amateur diggers.”
“I would love to do that.”
“There is a place in Mistralton City called Fossil Freaks. The hours are on the door, if you stop by when its open I can give you all the things you’ll need and you’ll be digging in no time.”
“Thanks, we will.” Then after another thanks for the fossil they left that tunnel. The sun was falling fast and he still hadn’t found his quarry.
“There had got to be one here somewhere.”
“I guess this is how a trainer feels or a rare Pokémon hunter.” Rachael mused.
“You know Gurdurr is another one of those trading/evolve Pokémon. I was going to ask if you would trade me to evolve him but sense I can‘t find one there is no point. Well it’s getting too dark to see, I say we stop looking for the day.” He said.
“Wait, maybe they come out at night or we may get lucky. Just a little longer.” She seems more into this that me he thought. After a few more hours of searching to no avail they decided to set up camp. Rachael was leaning against the wall they had set up by, she was throwing her empty poké ball in the air carelessly. “You know I think if we get started early tomorrow we will find one.” She said catching the ball and tossing it up again.
“Why do you say that?” He asked. She caught the ball.
“I don’t know I just have a feeling we’re going to get a Pokémon soon.” She said tossing it up again. She heard it click and looked up a red energy orb was condensing into the poké ball. “What the hell?” it shook violently and went still. They both stared at it for several minutes, in reality it was seconds but it felt longer. Finally she moved towards it is if it were a bomb about to go off. “What did I catch? Turn that lantern up.” She released the unknown Pokémon.
“Woobat!” it cried.
“Aww damn it.” she cried.
“Woobat the bat Pokémon. Its habitat is dark caves and forests, it emits ultrasonic waves from its nose to learn about its surroundings. During the day suctions from its nostrils enables it to stick to cave walls leaving a heart-shaped mark behind.”
“Woobat!” it said again.
“I don’t want a Woobat.”
“Careful Rachael.”
“Why?”
“Woobat evolves after forming a close personal relationship with its trainer.” The Pokédex rang out.
“Return.” she said.
“You have to take it I don’t want it, please.”
“Can you give Pokémon away and have them obey or can you only trade for another Pokémon?”
“We can ask the professor tomorrow or whenever but I don’t want him!” she said desperately.
“You may be stuck.” They started a fire, heated up some of the leftovers, and called it a night.
Bright and early the next day she shook him awake. “We need to go and see if we can catch you a Gurdurr today. We only have until noon or three o’clock at the latest.”
“What time is it now?”
“Seven.” She had gotten out some of the food, they had a quick breakfast and were off.
“I think we’ve been through this tunnel before, it looks familiar.”
“They all look the same.”
“Yeah but this one I remember.” Patrick reinforced but putting an emphasis on remember.
“Do you remember that?” she said pointing to a gap in the wall.
“It looks like it leads to another tunnel.” He answered inspecting the split in the rock. She noticed he conveniently didn’t answer her question. “Let’s go.” he slipped through.
It was darker in this crevice; the light didn’t penetrate the small entrance. He clicked on the flashlight. Despite its small entrance he noticed it was much larger than the other tunnels. As he wound his way through this snake like path it started to lighten there were holes cut in near the top of the tunnels to allow in light. Finally around the last turn he sees it open up into a large room, not man cut but Pokémon cut. There were holes cut into the ceiling here as well, light was pouring in them. Scattered around the floor of this room were Gurdurrs, they were all over the place. He saw one standing above all the others he pulled the dex and scanned it.
“Conkeldurr, the Muscular Pokémon. It’s is the final form of Timburr. It is thought that Conkeldurr taught humans to make concrete 2,000 years ago. Using two concrete pillars as walking canes, they know moves that allow them to swing them freely in battle.”
“I wonder how there is a Conkeldurr here, it only evolves through trade.”
“Maybe he ran away from his trainer or was turned loose.” Rachael responded. He then saw a smaller of the Pokémon making it way to the tunnel. It was a Timburr. He called out Zoroark.
“Zoroark you see that big Pokémon over there?”
“Zor” he replied.
