Part 44 - "Bonus Chapter"

(Note - This chapter is just a bonus chapter people suggested ages ago. It's technically not really part of the story, it's sort of just a simple request.)

"Link...I feel kind of funny...I feel...Lightheaded...What's happening?" Link sighed, and said "Goodbye, Lulu...I hope we can meet again...I'll always remember you...." Lulu quickly gained tears, her eyes saddening. "Wha-? Link...?" Lulu's vision turned pure white, everything disappearing. She felt like she was floating in an empty void. After a few seconds, she suddenly felt like she was plummeting, falling and falling until everything went dark...
Water moved all around her body, her back touching something flat and hard. She took in a deep breath, her gills making breathing underwater possible. She opened her eyes. The water around her rippled powerfully from her fall. She quickly swam to the surface. She was in Zora Hall, having fallen into the expansive pool of water by the large stage in the Hall. A large, rather chubby Zora named Tijo stood by the edge of the pool. Lulu remembered what had happened before she had seen Link; she had been walking along the pool when Tijo had pushed her into the pool. She looked at him with a bit of annoyance. "Tijo, what gives?" She asked. He smiled. "Just messin' around with you, Lulu. You worried me, though...You were down there for a couple of seconds. I expected you to come right back up, I thought you might have hit your head on the bottom or something." Lulu's face wasn't impressed, but her annoyance was fading. She knew he could be a bit of a joker with his friends, so she quickly got over it. He held out a hand to her, Lulu taking it, Tijo helping her get up and out of the small pool.
"Where's Mikau?" She asked suddenly. Tijo looked a little surprised as he said "Uh...Probably back in Japas' room, I think the two of them are having a little jam session right now." Lulu nodded and smiled. "Thanks...I want to see him. I hope he can make a little time for me..." Tijo smiled warmheartedly, saying "If there's anyone he'd abandon everything for and make time with, it'd be you, Lulu. Japas might not like it, but if you have to talk, I'm sure Mikau would be up for it." Lulu smiled, a faint hint of colour running in her cheeks. "I hope you're right..." She said softly. Her body and dress still dripping softly, she walked along the Hall. It was a grand place, the main room of the Hall being rather expansive. The walls, the ceiling, the floor, it was all made of a smooth light-green stone. A few torches lined along the walls, crackling slightly and sending out their inviting glow along the air. The stage itself was just a mammoth shell of some kind, opened up and resting on a small rocky platform. Several silver doors were set in the nearby walls, Lulu heading for one of them. She spotted several Zoras, predominantly females, standing around one of the doors, excited and happy faces on them all.
Guitar sounds could be heard coming from beyond that particular door, as well as a deeper sound, likely a bass guitar of sorts. The song being played was slow at first, but was quickly growing louder and quicker and filled with mor energy. Lulu smiled and walked over. Several of the Zoras noticed her, seemingly excited to see her yet noticing that she wanted to get to the door, respectfully moving out of the way so she could do so. She opened the door, quickly stepping inside and closing it behind herself before anyone else could try to slip inside, as well. The music quickly stopped playing. Two male Zoras on the far side of the room looked over. "Lulu?" She heard one of them say. Lulu smiled. Mikau and Japas stood on the far side of the room. Japas' room was fairly simple. The center of the room was all sand, while the outer edges were all water, making the sand-center seem a bit like a small island. He had a table by him, a few papers on it as well as on the ground by it. He stood on a small chair of sorts with Mikau by him. They were both holding instruments seemingly made from fishbones.
Mikau was a muscular and toned Zora with a few tattoos along his right arm as well as upon his head. He looked like how most Zora did, with a pale light blue body close to white in tint, his head having a long tail of sorts at the back, reaching down to his mid back, making his head alone look a little like a fish. His eyes were totally black, a trait typical of many male Zoras. Japas was a little more average-looking that Mikau, being devoid of tattoos, having the same body tint as Mikau. His head had thick flaps of sorts, almost like hair, coming down on either side of his face, shying away his eyes. The flaps went down past his jaw, hanging around his neck, swaying slightly as he moved. Lulu smiled and approached them. "You guys working on more songs? You know Evan gets upset when you guys do that stuff behind his back." Japas waved a hand at Lulu carelessly. "Man, Evan can, like...Chill out. He always has such a cow whenever we write some stuff, but, like...He can't lie, our stuff is good." Mikau nodded. "Evan acts all weird over it, but he knows we make quality stuff.
The guy needs to learn not to sweat the small stuff. It pisses me off how he never wants to listen to our tunes, though." Lulu rolled her eyes gently, still smiling. Japas then said "Hey, look, Lulu...The Carnival of Time is only a few weeks from now. We gotta get back to jamming, like..." Japas raised a hand near the side of his head, twirling it around slightly. "...Like...We gotta get this stuff out, you know? We gotta get the music out and on paper, we could forget it if we don't!" Mikau nodded, saying "Yeah, it was nice having the visit Lulu, but we gotta get back to playing." Lulu knew that she had to be brave. She had to make her move. She looked to the floor with a bit of a nervous face before looking back up to Mikau. "Actually, Mikau...Um...I wanted to talk to you about something...In private. It's important..." Mikau looked at her curiously. "What about?" He asked. She softly said "It's really personal..." Mikau and Japas glanced at each other.
A moment later, Japas raised a hand to his head, carelessly flipping his hand under one of his head-flaps, saying "Ah, go on...I'll write down what we've got so far. Just don't take too long, alright, man?" Mikau nodded, saying "Right, don't worry." The two of them raised a hand, quickly touching their fists together in a sort of handshake before Mikau walked over to Lulu. She turned and headed for the door, Mikau unshouldering his guitar and setting it against a wall by the door. Lulu peeked through a crack in the doorway, seeing everyone still there, gently being able to hear them chattering. "Let's just head to my room real quick, alright?" She said. Mikau nodded in understanding. Lulu pushed the door open gently, people slowly clearing out of the way, the two of them walking out into the happy cheers of multiple fans and admirers...
About a minute or two later, they finally succeeded in escaping the crowd to Lulu's room, Mikau shutting the door behind him, Lulu taking a few steps deeper into her room. Her room was much fancier and prettier than any of the other guys' rooms. It was decorated with colourful shells, the shells all lined up against the wall along the edges of the floor. Her room lacked a bed, the middle of the room simply having a shallow pool of water along with a small table in the middle of it and several chairs by the table. Both the table and the chairs were made from fancy and colourful shells and bones, almost like the decorations reaching around her room's perimeter. Mikau stood by the door for a few seconds before following Lulu deeper into her room. She stepped into the shallow puddle of water in the center of her room, turning and looking at him as he walked over to her. "So...What's up? What did you want to talk about?" He asked. She leaned against the edge of her table, looking into his face.
Her eyes were a little shy, but, then again, they usually were when she spoke with him. She said "Um...Well....It's that...I spoke with someone not long ago, and...He helped me figure out what I needed to do." Mikau simply looked at her with a puzzled face. Lulu blushed faintly and said "Look, Mikau, this isn't easy for me to say...I haven't had to say these words to anyone before, they're usually the ones to say how they feel first..." Mikau slowly said "How they...Feel?" Lulu avoided his eyes for a moment before looking into them bravely. "Mikau...I've felt sort of different about you, different from the others, at least...You're...Special to me..." She began to blush strongly. Her mouth hanging open gently, she softly said "...I..." but being unable to say any more before slowly starting to lose her nerve. Mikau said "Yes?", urging her on. "Um...I...I think you're...Well...I've always thought you were really...Cute...And...Well...We've been friends ever since you joined the band..." Mikau slowly began to smile. Lulu noticed his reaction, taking it as a good sign, gaining a little more confidence.
Lulu let out a light sigh.
