Another hour had passed. Simone Cole and her platoon had met up with several others, the platoons all facing a large amount of raider resistance. The NCR soldiers were on one side of a large manor-like building, on the other side of the street, on the front side of the manor. In front of the manor was a large space of ground, the remains of what used to be a large garden. The dusty space in front of the manor was the no-man's land of the battle; nobody wanted to head out there and face a hail of bullets. The manor was well fortified; the raiders within actually wore protective armour, almost every single raider being dressed in crude yet effective suits of metal armour. The manor had three stories to it, and the raiders shot through the windows of every floor. The main two doors at the front of the manor were wide open, several large crates set up to cover a gunman with a large automatic death-machine, an M60.
The man had the gun up on a crate, resting the weapon on it's bipod as he fired out in front of the manor. Most of the NCR soldiers were in the street directly in front of the manor, but stealthier soldiers were trying to sneak their way down the two streets on the manor's sides, looking for a back way in to the manor for a surprise attack. Simone as well as another two snipers had split up and gone into buildings at three different spots in front of the manor; Simone going up the building directly across from the manor, one the other snipers going up a building facing the southwest corner of the building, and the last sniper going up a building facing the manor's southeast corner. The building Simone was going up was several stories tall, but much of it had been destroyed in the Great War, leaving the highest floor she could get to being exposed to the elements, not having a ceiling. Simone found a window, kneeling by it, holding her rifle steady, resting part of it's long barrel against the bottom of the window's frame. She peered through it's scope, taking aim at the raider arming the M60 in the manor's doorway.
Simone saw the man to be wearing metal armour mark two, which was a vastly improved suit of armour compared to those of the rest of the raiders. Unlike the regular metal armour, which was very often crafted from rusty pieces of scrap metal, already fairly damaged, the metal armour mark two was expertly crafted from fresh, thick metal and polished to a shine. The armour was made up of a silver breastplate along with attached pauldrons, the details of the armour being made of tough gold. Three sharp spikes stuck out in an upwards manner from the left pauldron. There weren't any sleeves to the armour; the man's bare, muscular arms shook in time with the M60's firing. A pre-war welding mask was on the man's head, the black glass square on it's front having been broken to allow the man proper abilities in sight while wearing the helmet. Simone couldn't see the man from the waist down, and she could barely see the bottom of the front of his helmet, not even his throat being visible. She faintly heard the other two snipers begin to fire out, attempting to hit raiders firing through the manor's windows. Simone saw that her only way to hit the gunner at the main doors was to hit his arms, as his torso was too well protected for her to quickly take down, and every other part of his body was covered by something or other.
The man continued to fire until he next needed to reload, Simone waiting just until his gun ran out of ammo, her finger calmly resting on the trigger. Just when his gun and arms stopped shaking, she fired two shots, the bullets hitting the gunner in his left forearm, the first near his wrist with the second near his elbow. She saw the man drop the M60, pulling away from it, disappearing into the manor. Simone fired a shot at the M60, hitting it at the middle of it's length, destroying vital parts within it, leaving the once-powerful weapon now useless. Simone looked over to the windows just as the sniper fire towards her left died. She saw several raiders armed with sniper rifles to be pointing their weapons towards the building southwest of the manor. She saw a few of them slowly guide their rifles over in her direction, Simone instantly getting behind cover. She didn't think the raiders would have been able to get their hands on sniper rifles; the weapons weren't exactly common, and wherever it was that they were sold, they were sold for quite a bit of money. She sat with her back against the wall, sitting beside the window as she reloaded her rifle. "Sniper battles are never fun," she grimly thought.
She took in a deep breath before letting out a quick sigh. She heard the sniper fire coming from the building southeast of the manor fade, as well. She realized she was the only sniper left alive. She thought "I need another spot, this one is too predictable." She stayed low and close to the ground, despite knowing that the floor she was on was much higher than the manor and that the raider snipers would almost certainly not be able to see her if she stood up. She made her way to the stairs, beginning to move down them, thinking about what floor she should take and what window to shoot from. She made her way two floors down, being on the building's fifth floor. She continued to stay low, making her way to a room situated in a corner of the building. Three windows were within the room, on the far wall. Simone made her way over to a window near the corner of the room, her heart beginning to beat a little faster, thumping under the cage of her ribs. With a single well-placed shot, any of the raider snipers could end her life, and she had no idea how many there were or even where they were precisely located amid the manor's many windows.
She closed her eyes for a few seconds, her breathing beginning to quicken, Simone doing her best to stay calm. Facing off against an enemy sniper had always been something she feared; with possibly a single pull of a trigger, she knew someone was probably going to die, be it her or her enemy. She gritted her teeth for a moment before opening her eyes, letting out a deep exhale, trying to force herself into calming down. She acted calmly and coolly, not wanting to move too fast for fear of attracting someone's eye. She held her rifle steady, looking through the scope, aiming at the front of the manor. She quickly looked along the many windows of the manor, seeing several snipers to be all pointing their rifles down in front of the manor, trying to shoot at the soldiers filling the street in front of the building. The sight steadied Simone's hands; if the snipers were looking at the other soldiers, they weren't looking at her, and that meant she could end the snipers' lives safely. She got the head of one sniper in her crosshairs, squeezing the trigger, seeing red fly out from behind the sniper's head as his body fell back into the room he was standing within.
She moved over and got the chest of another sniper in her sights, aiming just slightly to the right of the middle of the sniper's chest, aiming for her heart. She squeezed the trigger again, the sniper falling back in to the room she was standing inside. Simone moved over and found another sniper, firing into his chest, killing him, as well. Simone suddenly felt her helmet vibrate painfully, feeling something hit the left side of it. She searched through her scope, her hands beginning to tremble, her heart beating a little faster. She found another sniper, seeing this one to be aiming his rifle up at her, carefully taking aim. The both of them fired at the same time. Simone saw her bullet hit the sniper in the throat just before pain exploded in her left arm. She gritted her teeth in surprise over the wound, holding back a shout. She got behind cover, feeling blood pour out of her left forearm. She looked at her arm. The sniper's bullet had hit her near her wrist, over the back of her arm. The bullet had torn through the sleeve of her combat armour, going right through her forearm at an angle, blowing through about a third of her arm's length before finally blasting out through the other side, where the bullet had gone past Simone's hip, hitting the wall on the other side of the room.
Simone could barely move her fingers, her hand almost felt non-existent from the wound just a little back on her limb. Simone was breathing quickly as a glimmer of tears appeared in her eyes, the pain rocking her mind. She felt along the pouches of her belt, looking for the one with her stimpacks. She pulled open the pouch with her right hand once she found it, reaching inside and grabbing one of the four stimpacks within. She pulled it out, bringing it to her face, biting down on the plastic sheath protecting the needle. She heard a crunch, her eyes going wide slightly. She stopped biting on the sheath, pulling the stimpack away from her face, looking at the stimpack. She had bitten too hard; she had broken the needle. She threw the stimpack away, grabbing a second one. She brought it to her face and, very gently, bit down on the sheath. She pulled the stimpack away, spitting the sheath away from herself a moment later, seeing the stimpack's needle to be intact. She rested the stimpack on her right thigh, grabbing the edge of her sleeve, at her wrist.
She pulled on the tough material until she could see one of the veins on her wrist. She grabbed the stimpack again, bringing the tip of the needle towards her skin. Aiming carefully, she pushed the tip of the needle into her skin, shutting her right eye in reaction to the dull pinch that appeared, keeping her left eye open to make sure that she did things right. Pushing the needle deeper into herself, she felt the pinching sensation intensify, the pinch going deeper into her skin. When the needle had gone deep enough, the stimpack shot it's fluid into her quickly, Simone pulling the stimpack away from herself and tossing it off to the side. She pulled out the remaining two stimpacks, using the both of them on herself, the hole going clean through her forearm slowly beginning to heal and close. Simone knew she hadn't gotten all of the snipers; she was sure that there was at least one or two left.
Suddenly, she heard the NCR troops rise in a shout, hearing what sounded almost like a charge outside. She got up on one knee, looking out through the window. She saw the dozens of soldiers in the street charge across the manor's long-destroyed garden, heading towards the manor. She saw multiple muzzle flashes appearing through the windows of the manor, but none of the charging NCR soldiers were getting hit, none of them were falling. Simone realized that the soldiers she had seen earlier, the ones sneaking around the manor, must have found a way inside and started attacking. She grabbed her sniper rifle, steadying it in her wounded arm as she took a minute to reload it, holding it tight under her right arm as she got up. She headed out of the room she was in, moving for the stairs, beginning the descent to the first floor...
Nearing the heart of the city, Razor Company had already begun to face the same resistance as that of Phantom Company. Arthur's platoon as well as several others stayed close together, heading through the streets, wiping out any raiders they found. Arthur and Veronica were just heading into an abandoned corner store, looking around for raiders. Veronica moved ahead of Arthur, looking through a few of the aisles. Arthur looked left and right, seeing a counter over to his right, walking over to check behind it. As he walked over to it, he suddenly heard some sort of electric crackle, hearing Veronica grunt. He grabbed his rifle, running past a few aisles, saying "Veronica, what...?" He trailed off, looking towards the sight before with mild surprise. He saw a raider with a pre-war stun baton kneeling beside a knocked out Veronica, holding the end of the baton over Veronica's throat. The raider had pulled off Veronica's helmet, revealing her long brown hair, which had been tied in a bun over the back of her head to not only prevent it from getting in the way, but also to stop it from heating her up too much. The raider was dressed in a suit of sleeveless leather armour, several tattoos along his arms and face, showing that the raider may have dabbled in slavery at some point.
His skin was light and creamy, but it had a bit of a tan from the sun. Several rings adorned the man's fingers. His hair was dark brown and shaggy, being rather unkempt. The man appeared to be in his mid thirties. His eyes were dark brown and twinkling with an almost playful malice. "Hey, 'sup." The man said. Arthur raised his rifle, pointing it at the man, the man pressing a button on the baton's handle, electricity visibly crackling at it's end. "Ah ah ah!" He said, raising his eyebrows. Arthur slowly lowered his rifle. The raider nodded gently, saying "Thaaaat's right...Raise it again and I'll hit your little friend hard enough that she'll have a heart attack." Arthur darkly said "Do it, I dare you. You'll never walk out of here alive if you do." The raider glanced towards the door of the corner store for a moment before looking back to Arthur. "Damned if I do, damned if I don't." He said, the left corner of his mouth rising in a half-smile. "If I manage to get away, chances are I'll be dead. I let your friend go, and you'll probably kill me..."
Arthur forcefully said "Kill my friend, and I'll most certainly kill you. Looks like you don't have too many options for survival." The raider said "Not exactly true. I could dress up in your armour and try to sneak out of here. Might work." Arthur said "Might not." The two of them were quiet for a few seconds before the raider said "How's about this...You escort me past your friends, and I let go of your woman." Arthur ignored the comment the man made about Veronica, but on the inside, he couldn't help but think "She's not my woman, damn it!" Arthur said "Even if I did that, you'd get hunted down eventually." The raider raised an eyebrow, still smiling. "Bounty hunters." Arthur said, explaining his words. The raider rolled his eyes slightly, almost as if the suggestion of bounty hunters coming after him amused him. "We got a deal or not?" He asked. Arthur narrowed his eyes dangerously, thinking for a few moments...
A few minutes later, the three of them were walking down a street, surrounded by other NCR soldiers. The raider held up Veronica's still-unconscious body with his left arm, holding his baton by her throat with his right hand. Arthur followed him with a dark look on his face, gripping his assault rifle tight. Almost as soon as the three of them had walked out of the corner store, they had been surrounded by NCR troops demanding that the raider's hostage be released. The raider had refused; he knew better, he knew that if he lost his hostage there'd be nothing to force the soldiers into keeping him alive. Veronica had begun to awaken as the large group headed down the street, mumbling a few words as she slowly opened her eyes a little. When she realized someone was half carrying her and half dragging her, she opened her eyes wide, saying "What in the hell is going on here?..." She heard a deep voice hiss into her ear. "Sssh, stay calm, baby. I'm just using you to get out of here, I don't actually want to hurt you."
Veronica noticed her rifle was gone. Veronica looked around for Arthur, catching a glimpse of him before the man shook her slightly, saying "Hey, babycakes, you gotta keep your head close to mine, alright? If your head is close to mine, nobody's gonna wanna shoot in case they hit you. Your helmet's off, see?" He gently tapped the side of his chin against the side of her head, touching her hair with his jaw, a moment later saying "No protection." Veronica narrowed her eyes gently, seething with anger yet saying nothing, not wanting to be shocked again. A powerful enough shock to her throat could kill her, that she knew. When she had walked near the back of the corner store, the man had snuck up behind her, shoving his shock baton into the back of her right thigh, near the right cheek of her backside. The discharge of electricity shocked her nerves hard enough that she had quickly been rendered unconscious, but now she was back in the world of the waking. The raider kept walking along, Veronica now walking with him, their progress being significantly speedier now that the man didn't have to partially drag Veronica along. Every once in a while, a soldier would shout out for Veronica's release, but the raider would never say anything.
Arthur eventually called out "Hey! What's your name?" The raider called back, saying "No names! Call me...Reno! Just like the city!" Arthur said "Reno, what's it gonna take for you to let Veronica go?" Reno said "I already told you kid, I want to get out of here!" Arthur said "Sure is slowgoing, don't you think?" Reno grinned slightly, shrugging gently, saying "Slow progress is better than no progress at all!" Arthur said "What if I got all these other guys to go away? What then?" Reno said "Then I'd be more inclined to let your girl go, but until then, this is the way things have got to be!" Arthur immediately shouted out "You heard the man, he won't let her go until you're all gone! Get back with the rest, you can report me if you want, but I'm doing this to save a life, so fuck it!" The soldiers all continued with their actions for a few seconds before slowly coming to a stop, no longer following Reno and his hostage. They slowly began to back up on their street, heading back towards the corner store, eventually turning and rushing off to catch up with the rest of their squads and platoons. Only Arthur, Reno, and Veronica stood in the street. Arthur said "What now? If you keep heading down this street, nobody's gonna stop you. We've all moved on, we're heading into the heart of the city! Gonna let her go?"
Reno called out "First things first! Pop out the magazine from your gun!" Arthur slowly raised his rifle, pointing it to the side, grudgingly ejecting it's magazine. "Now toss it far off to your left!" Reno called out. Arthur complied, tossing his magazine off to the left, a "clack" sounding out as it hit a partially destroyed piece of concrete. Reno said "Now, toss the rifle far off to your right!" Arthur slowly did so, tossing his rifle off to his right side, leaving the weapon and it's ammunition far apart. Although Arthur had several more magazines of ammo in the pouches of his belt as well as the belts around his thighs, he knew that it would still take him several seconds to pull open a pouch, pull out a magazine, load it into the rifle, and raise it to fire it. In that time, Reno could escape. Reno called out "Alright! Turn around, lie down on your chest, and spread your arms and legs as far apart as you can!" Arthur narrowed his eyes, a slight breeze blowing through the street then, the wind blowing along his face gently. "Do I have your word that you'll let Veronica go after I do that?"
Reno smiled and said "O' course, man. I'll push her down to the ground and be on my way. You did everything I asked, it's only fair that I do the one thing you're asking for." Arthur slowly turned around, getting down on a knee, lying down fully a second later. He spread his arms out by his side, keeping the right side of his face down against the cement, spreading his legs, as well. He heard something large, like a body, fall to the ground before hasty footsteps ran off. Arthur rolled over and jumped to his feet, seeing Reno to be running like the wind, already rather far down the street, ducking into an alleyway a moment later. Arthur had to admit it, he was impressed with how Reno had handled the situation; he had heard of countless hostage situations, and it was extremely rare that someone actually got away afterwards. Arthur rushed over to Veronica's side, Veronica already rising, Arthur grabbing her right arm and helping her up. She brushed off his arm, getting up to her feet, looking him in the eyes angrily. "Why the hell did you let him go?"
The first words to come out of her mouth after Arthur had just gone out of his way to keep her safe stung, they were almost hostile. Veronica angrily said "Fuck the hostage, the hostage taker is hoping that you'll be personally attached to whoever they take! You should've just taken a shot, I have armour on dumbass, you didn't have to aim for my head, nobody did!" Anger flared in Arthur, and it showed on his face. Without thinking, he blurted out "You fucking bitch, I could've told everyone to open fire, but I went out of my way to keep you safe! I got you out of that situation without a scratch, and this is how you thank me?" Veronica's expression softened slightly, the woman seeming a little subdued by his words, but she remained angry-looking. Arthur shook his head slightly, angered even further when he heard no apology coming from her. He turned and walked over to his rifle, grabbing it, heading back over to his tossed magazine, grabbing it, as well.
Veronica didn't move while he grabbed his discarded items. Angrily, he said "Your gun and helmet are in the corner store, go get them. Next time you're taken hostage by some piece of shit raider, you know what? I'll tell everyone to open fire, fuck the hostage, just like you say!" Arthur turned and quickly walked off, anger boiling up inside him. Veronica watched him leave, her expression slowly softening as he walked away, Veronica gritting her teeth slightly. As soon as he was out of sight, her expression softened entirely, Veronica muttering to herself aloud, saying "God damn it..."
About thirty minutes later, Phantom Company was nearing the very core of the city, being on Virgin Street. To the right was the famous Cat's Paw brothel, a single-story whorehouse. To the left was a parking lot with a few skeleton cars sitting within, NCR troops not even bothering to get behind them, seeing no cover could possibly be gained from them. On the other end of the street was the Desperado casino, and across from it, there was the ramshackle remains of an old motel. Dead bodies littered the streets, the bodies almost entirely belonging to New Reno denizens, but there were raider bodies around too, mostly at the entrance to the Desperado. Down the street, the instantly recognizable New Reno sign, proclaiming the that it was "the biggest little city in the world" in large letters, stood proudly. NCR troops busted into an alley behind the Cat's Paw, getting closer to the Desperado, raiders desperately shooting through the amber windows on the first and second floors. Others simply stayed behind what little cover there was, most of which was in the motel across the street, returning fire whenever possible. Simone, by then fully healed and recovered, rushed across the nearby parking lot, running into a building sitting in front of the lot. She began to look around for a window with a room with which she could snipe from, looking as quickly as she could.
She burst into a room after several seconds of chasing, feeling surprised to find herself facing a raider with a crowbar. Before she could react, he had swung his crowbar down, using the hook of the crowbar to grab her rifle. He yanked it out of her hands, raising up a 44. magnum a moment later, firing a powerful shot, quickly followed by another. Simone was sent stumbling from the force of the first bullet, her armour catching it, her armour catching the second bullet as well, only the second bullet successfully knocked her to the ground. The raider, grinning devilishly, took a few steps closer to her. Simone quickly grabbed the Browning HP from the holster on her right hip, raising it up, firing three rapid shots into the raider's chest. His crowbar let out a loud clatter as it hit the ground, the raider falling over on his back in death. Simone quickly got up, holstering her pistol once more, grabbing her sniper rifle, spying a window nearby. She walked over to the window, raising up her sniper rifle, smashing the butt of it through the window, using the stock of the rifle to clear away any excess glass. Once it was all clear, she held her rifle steady, resting part of it's frame against the window frame.
She peered through the scope, looking for raiders to put down. The windows of the Desperado were few and far between, Simone scanning along them all, seeing that every single one had a raider with an assault rifle firing out. A few NCR soldiers well from a particularly brutal hail of bullets, their armour simply not able to stand up to the slugs, some even getting hit in the face. Simone fired a few shots, taking down a few gunmen, suddenly spying someone walking out through the front of the casino. She quickly reloaded her rifle, having used about half of her ammunition by that point. Looking through her scope once more, she looked along the figure that had walked through the casino's front doors. She knew right away that the figure was going to be trouble. He was dressed in combat armour mark two, a suit of armour even more protective than the armour that the NCR soldiers themselves were wearing. The suit looked very similar to the combat armour the NCR soldiers were using, only the armoured plates were thicker and more protective, while the metal details were gold instead of black like on the regular combat armour.
Unlike the NCR's combat armour, instead of having only the body suit protecting the figure's arms, there were protective plates around the figure's forearms, elbows, and upper arms. Instead of belts with pouches around the figure's thighs like the soldiers', there was simply more protective plates. Simone saw that the figure wasn't wearing the helmet that usually went with the combat armour; instead, he was wearing the helmet of a suit of T-51b Power Armour, his entire head completely covered in an extremely protective piece of headgear. A fearsome weapon was in the raider's hands, the man holding up a CZ53 Personal Minigun. It was a large beast of dark brown and green steel, having six long barrels along with a long belt of ammo hanging from a compartment in it's side. There was a bag on the man's back, which was probably filled with additional ammo for his weapon. The man was walking outside carelessly, bullets flying his way frighteningly quickly from the NCR soldiers, but it wasn't doing a thing to him, his armour was catching it all. The thirteen soldiers that had gotten into the alley behind the Cat's Paw ran out into the street, firing at the figure from an almost point-blank range. The figure turned towards them, the barrels of the minigun beginning to spin, the NCR soldiers scattering.
The figure opened fire, bullets flying out rapidly, surprising Simone as she saw the NCR soldiers in his way being cut down. She knew miniguns were strong, but the figure shouldn't have been able to mow down as many soldiers as he was, not as quickly as he was, anyway. She realized his minigun may have been filled with 5mm AP, seeing how armour piercing rounds would be able to break through combat armour quick enough. She knew the man had to be taken down quickly, but her sniper rifle used .223 FMJ; Full Metal Jacket rounds weren't exactly the best for penetrating tough armour, especially not the helmet from a suit of Power Armour. To penetrate Power Armour, she knew she'd need perhaps a Gauss rifle or some sort of energy weapon like a pulse rifle or plasma rifle. She tried aiming for the man's hands, the only things left uncovered, but he was moving around too fast for her to get a proper shot lined up. The figure let out digitized laughs as he swung over, spraying bullets into the old motel across from the casino, the bullets smashing through the windows and sections of weak walling, the figure taking down quite a few NCR soldiers.
The man stopped shooting, seemingly having ran out of ammo. Bullets began to fly his way a few seconds later. The man didn't seem worried, calmly lowering his minigun to the ground, taking off his bag a moment later. He dropped the heavy piece of apparel to the ground, unzipping it a moment later. Simone aimed at the bag, firing three quick shots. Her bullets tore through the bag, the man pulling his hands back, standing up a moment later. Simone fired the rest of her magazine into the bag, firing the last three shots into it, ejecting the magazine and filling it with bullets once more. The man sifted around in his bag, most of his belts of ammo being broken up, the man finding two intact ones. He pulled one out, pulling open a slot on his minigun, pushing the first few bullets of the belt into the slot before closing the compartment. He raised the minigun up, Simone's eyes widening slightly as she saw the man begin to walk down the street towards the parking lot, the barrels of his weapon slowly beginning to spin. She held her sniper rifle tight, fleeing from the window, a few seconds later hearing bullets zoom over, crashing through the open window and hitting the outside walls of the building. She ran through a few rooms, staying low as she did so, hearing the man continue to fire out rapidly.
Arthur, his platoon, and several others belonging to Razor Company flooded into Virgin Street. Arthur, rushing along with many other soldiers, could see and hear the man with the minigun. Acting quickly, the platoons stormed the Desperado casino, several others whipping frag grenades at the man with the minigun, his back being to them as he had been approaching a parking lot. The grenades blew out deadly storms of shrapnel, blowing off the man's right leg at the knee, destroying part of his minigun. Simone appeared in the doorway of the building by the parking lot, walking over, pulling the helmet from the still-living man. She pulled out her pistol, pointing it down at the back of his head, pulling the trigger once. She holstered her pistol once more, leaving the man's body where it was, walking away and heading over to the Desperado. Arthur had rushed inside, his fight with Veronica giving him angry energy, Arthur taking down several raiders along with the rest of his platoon.
The others began to fan out, heading for Second Street, which was pretty much the very heart of New Reno. Arthur and his platoon fought through the second floor of the Desperado, wiping out every single raider left, everyone reloading their weapons afterwards. Arthur had been running low on bullets by then, so he took a few minutes to check the bodies of a few raiders, taking any extra ammo they may have had that he knew would work with his rifle. Just as he was heading down the stairs of the Desperado, he saw Veronica standing near the bottom. He didn't want to talk to her, she had angered him too much. She saw him coming down the stairs, saying "Arthur, can I-" He cut her off, saying "Not now" in an almost hostile tone, marching past her and heading out the front doors of the casino.
He headed down a nearby street, following after the rest, hearing heavy gunfire on the distance. Rushing down a few streets, he made it to Second Street. To the right there was the Jungle Gym, to the left was the Golden Globes studios, down the street was Salvatore's Bar, and the Shark Club. All of them were filled with raiders, but none more so than the Shark Club; it was easily the most heavily defended. Arthur heard one of the soldiers shout out "This has to be where their leaders are hiding out! Blow the bastards apart!" Arthur rushed along, getting behind cover, ready to take on hell.
