Disclaimer: I own nothing and am making no money from this. Metroid, Samus, et al are owned by the people that own them, not me. Other M was an abomination in terms of narrative. I'm writing porn while being more respective of the characters... |

Samus sighted down the line of the rifle and pulled the trigger.
The rifle was of Gasaphaz design. The ship she'd taken here, likewise, was not her usual model. She didn't bring anything of Chozo make to this world, not willing to risk the circumstances she'd suffered upon first coming here.
I swore I'd come back here and kill everything, she thought to herself, smiling as another sex-crazed genetic aberration died. She watched it twitch, ejaculate, and fall still. I've made a pretty good start.
She'd started with the Zebesians and gone from there, hunting down the mockeries of her enemies that had been crafted on this world. All of them died; too many people thought that it was the suit that made her frightening but the suit was a tool and an extension of her will.
She, Samus Aran, was the true danger and her time here was proving that.
Reloading her rifle, she shimmied down a mountain face and made her way over to the place where “Big Time” Brannigan had been buried. She stood over the grave, unsure what to say – the Desgeega had been a hero of her's once, and she preferred not to think of what bitterness had turned him into or the abuse he'd heaped upon her.
"Sleep," she muttered, beginning an old prayer. "Wake into a better life." She thought the Chozo would have approved and shook her head, turning her back on the dead and returning to what was left of the living.
Today, she was hunting down the fallacy of Spore Spawn, fully intending to murder the thing before heading home.
Doing so was messier than she would have liked. The plant matter ended up exploding after a few well-placed grenades and she clucked as she thought how long she'd have to spend in the shower washing the gunk out of her hair.
Mission accomplished, Samus thought, grinning. The galaxy is at peace.
She made her way back to Melissa's old facilities, padding to the master bedroom. She took a long shower, letting the steaming water trail down her body, enjoying the feel of liquid streaming through her hair. Closing her eyes, she bowed her head and let the water fall.
When she was done she got dressed and padded down to the kitchen, humming as she made dinner, spread the result on two plates and carried them both down to the lower cells.
The computer system recognized her.
For a moment nothing happened, but then the door opened.
“I wasn't sure you were coming,” said Melissa. She sounded shy. Samus offered her the plate of food and they ate in silence.
Samus allowed Melissa to control this one room. The clone couldn't leave it, couldn't affect anything outside of it, couldn't use her abilities to harm Samus in any way. Melissa accepted this. The pain of what Samus had suffered wasn't the only thing Melissa had absorbed; the two of them were sisters in a way that no one but the two of them could possibly understand.
The silence between them was comfortable. They both understood the conflict that had been between them, but they both understood the other and where they were now. Melissa finally had the family she wanted, and Samus had a sister, something she'd never had before.
“Do you want to come out?” Samus asked. Melissa bit her lip and shook her head, no.
“I'm not ready yet,” said she, the words hushed, her gaze in her lap.
Samus' hand touched hers. Melissa risked glancing up and saw the soft smile – not a push, just support. She did not know if she would ever be ready, but she took her sister's hand, fell into her arms, and felt a sense of peace she'd been yearning for her whole life.
This was home, and it was enough.

One hundred and six thousand words. This story is a little longer than that, but not much. It's a work of years, inspired by the character assassination of Other M, but it was a labor of love. Strange love, yes, but love nonetheless – I love the Metroid franchise and I wanted to tell a story that hinted at how cool Other M could have been.
And then one of my cousins was like you should make it porn, because you keep saying you can't write porn. So, thanks. You got me started on something that doesn't look like it's going to end. And I should probably thank another one of my cousins, the one who I spitball ideas with and who lets me sleep on his couch. Thanks, guys.
This story would have never happened without MorbidFantasy. His Fatman Chronicles are a personal favorite and proof that porn works better with plot. We sometimes talk shop on the forums of this very site, and those of that are curious are welcome to join us. Thank you, my friend. Your work set mine in motion, and I'm a better writer for the conversations we've had.
EvilCareBear and I sort of went back and forth for awhile, and his excellent take on the Metroid franchise can be read here and on Hentai Foundry. He's also good people and it was fun to brainstorm with him. I keep hoping he'll flesh out his ideas or add something new to them. No idea where he is these days, but wherever he is I hope he's having fun.
Aksika is an artist on DeviantArt who actually did fanart of this very story. I was flattered as hell and asked him to do more work. You can hire him to do the same for you, if you like. He's also good people and we've talked a bit and I'm still impossibly flattered to have inspired an artist. Thank you, sir.
Alyx/Samus/ComicCapter was another big influence on me. He's another guy on DeviantArt who does damsel-in-distress based comics and got caught in the world of Metroid for a long time. These days, he mostly plays with DC Comics characters but he's built his own continuity with both and his comics are damn good reads. This story got started during one of his lulls simply because I missed his work.
sure-comma-knot is yet another artist from DeviantArt and we chatted a bit. His work is excellent and got me thinking about some of the circumstances that Samus would eventually end up enduring. Thank you.
There've been a few instances where my tech needs have outpaced my tech skills, and DemonGoddess has always been there to help me out of whatever jam I get myself into. It's why I favor this site over the others I tried using, and I have a world of respect for her. Thank you for your help, for helping build a platform and a conversational tool, for building a community, for everything.
TheDaiLi is another writer, like MorbidFantasy, who showed me how deep porn writing can be. Both his artwork and written words were inspirational, and I can only hope that at one point he returns. Thank you, wherever you are.
Not everyone is going to like the things I write; this stuff runs dark. It's important, I think, to remember it and really think about what impact words have. So, newenglandee and ngrey651, thank you for your questions and for standing up for the things you believe in.
Thank you also to SailorNemesis, Anon, Anon123456, Pew-pew, Lord-of-Altair, Deathwings500, DrkVrtx, Salarta, JViper, Tystl, Kpkep, Veyron, bondagelit, RighteousBoyII, Sheeps, Rol, RolRol, Relativeh, PornEater, Zippy, Random Guy, Peleus, BoobsWriter, Aeyugn, and Mirana for the reviews that were left and the comments on the forums. The words you guys exchanged for mine is what kept me going and finally brought this story to an end. Thank you for following me on this weird little tale, and thank you for your patience.
And, lastly, thank you to everyone else that read this story.
I hope you enjoyed it.
