Little extra note here: Sorry for not updating in a Loooong time, Due to extenuating circumstances I'd been forced, Yet again, to push my writing to the side. I should get right back on that though, as I'm now newly settled into my new home~ <3
       The town was busy at this time of night, and it was hard working to get through to the entrance to the dead mines, several times having to stop runners from getting more help from inside.

Decktire blew at an errant strand of hair. One of these years she swore she'd cut it all off. Of course, she was also somewhat vain in that she loved her hair.. when it wasn't getting in her sight. She blew at it again.

"Human."

      She blinked and glared over at Veyros, who was smiling as if amused. "What, Tentacle boy?"

He raised an eyebrow, but didn't take the bait. Instead the walked over and moved the offending strand of hair out of the way, tucking it back into the bun. "Would you rather me call you warlock?" He smirked at her flabbergasted look and moved on to the next group.

Cit moved up next to Deck and whispered. "I think he likes you, human."

   Deck stammered and shook her head. "Oh I -doubt- that not-demon! He's just trying to put me off my guard." She then moved to the side, muttering to herself.

   Citlali laughed at her as they went through the main entrance into the dead mines.

   The first thing that Decktire noticed about the Deadmines was that the air in the mines was stale, humid, and hot. She plucked at the neckline of her robes, trying to cool herself off. “You'd think it be cool in here, since, you know. It's underground.”

   Veyros looked back at her, then seemed to roll his eyes while everyone else simply shushed her and moved forward, avoiding any areas that looked as though they were in active use.

No need to alert the entire mine that they were here. At least not yet.

“Syl, Deck, can one of you two scout ahead?”

   The two women looked at each other, Decktire giving Sylane a 'Go ahead' motion, the rogue slipping into shadow as she silently crept up ahead, the rest of the group wading behind.

Veyros leaned back and looked over at Decktire, who simply looked back, eyebrow raised. “You have skills of a rogue?”

   She smirked and returned the whisper, patting his chest softly. “No, but I have something almost as good, and just as dangerous. It's sort of like me instinctively knowing when someone comes barging into our campsite.”

His eyebrows knitted together in thought, and he frowned. “A demon then.”

      She smiled at him and moved forward when Voldros gave the sign.

   They all caught up with Sylane, standing back at her motions. There were several miners huddled together eating, some playing a game of dice.

Decktire bit her lip and watched. “One farthest from us is lying.” She whispered, The others looking back, Voldros smirking.

      “So is the one to the right of him.”

      Veyros sighed softly, stepping out into their line of sight.

The miners left their game of dice unattended, rushing forward into Veyros' reach. His mallet made sickening thuds against the first man to run up to him, The rest of the group following in to join the fight.

   Citlali leaned back, her spells on the tip of her tongue. A faint blush rose on her cheeks as healing spells fell off of her lips, her legs sliding together.

   Once, as the miner leading into the attack fell, his face smashed, blood dripping from his eyes and mouth, one of his company stumbled back, turning to run away.

Voldros shot off three arrows in quick succession, each landing on his back.

   The other two turned, trying to find the weaker opponents, but faced off with a very homicidal looking night elf, her twin daggers gleaming in the dim light.

   Decktire wandered over to the abandoned dice game, and lifted up the cups. “Hah!” She jumped up. “I won, pay up Vold!”

      Voldros grumbled and looked the dice over. “I can not believe it. What payment this time?”

      Decktire made a play of thinking hard on it, finally sighed and shrugged.

   "Can we take a bit of a break? The door looks like it's staying closed for now.” Decktire was already sitting down, pulling off her backpack and grabbing a drink.

      Veyros blinked. “Is that all you would ask of him, human?”

      She looked over at him, but it was Citlali that replied.

      “Does she look like someone who would ask more?”

      Voldros laughed softly and patted Veyros on the shoulder. “She is a bit childish, but for a human that can be expected. Their lives are so short they don’t have time to truly mature!”

   To emphasize his point, Decktire made it a notion to stick her tongue out him, then laughed and stood back up.

     Time had gone on, and the five had progressed further within the caverns of the Deadmines. If anything, the caverns had simply gotten even more hot.

     Decktire rubbed the back of her neck, then took a few pieces of linen out of her bag, wiping the sweat down. “We must be getting close to a forge. That's the -only- way it's gotta be this hot in here.”

   The group continued down the long and winding cave the sounds of sawing and hammering getting louder as they went. Voldros motioned his hand for the group to stay still, motioned again, and they moved forward.

Since the door was opened, They looked in on a large group of goblins, all whittling away at what looked to be vast planks.

     “They've allied with goblins?” Sylane frowned at her own words, one of the aforementioned goblins turning to look at where the noise had come from. He almost didn't notice them, save for the brief flash of metal...

“Intruders!” the green-skinned creature called out, himself and two others running through the doorway.

   The group was in action again, Voldros whistled sharply, his night saber going for one of the goblins, Veyros heading the other one off, who was running directly towards Citlali. This time Decktire leaned back with the healing paladin, Shooting off shadow bolts and every curse she could bring to mind.

      Sylane almost laughed in exaltation, her daggers flashed almost unseen through the goblin she had decided to go against.
       Several more goblins noticed the commotion and flushed through the doorway as well, catching the five off guard, Citlali getting rushed by two, and having them forcefully knocked off by deck, who in her desperation, cast a spell that sent hellish flames flowing across the floor in a torrent, the goblins pushed off, and the planks of dry wood catching almost immediately on fire.
      "Human, no more fire spells!"

Deck cringed. "I'm trying, it's difficult when all I have is fire and shadow. Help me keep these shits off of Cit!”
      Veyros ran back and slammed against one of the creatures, Citlali struggling to stay up on her feet, her breath coming out in soft gasps.

     “Are you alright?” When she didn't reply Veyros stepped closer, touching her shoulder.

     She jerked against him, eyes going glazed.

   “I'll get her, finish these guys off!” Decktire pushed Veyros away from Citlali, who briefly reached out to him. “Cit, calm it girl, we don't have time for this!”

     Citlali shook her head after a beat and cleared her gaze, returning to her healing, though with some difficulty in concentration.

      Veyros chanced a glance back at the two, looking more carefully at the female paladin than before.

      The last goblin hit the ground in a crumpled heap, and everyone only took a short moment to catch their breath, when they heard the same sawing, and it was coming closer.

The large mechanical buzzer moved forward along a plank, looking far more intimidating with the fire that licked at every bit of exposed wood.

      “Shit, We need to do something about all this fire or we won't get through!”

      Sylane looked over at Deck. “I doubt our new opponent will allow us to move any further.

Veyros took a deep breath. “I'm going in, Follow if you'd like, or not.” He rushed towards the buzzer, his war hammer at the ready.

     “Veyros, wait-”

   “You take care of our healer, Human. I don't need a her, -or- you.”

   Decktire's eyes widened, then narrowed. “You aren't that powerful and you know it. ALSO, you forget, We've got to get through here before reinforcements come!” She moved forward as well, her first curses on the tip of her tongue.

     The Goblin in the mechanical grinned, his hands flying over the controls, the jerky movements propelling him forward. He aimed his buzz saw at Veyros, and the paladin slammed his hammer against it, knocking it away before moving in.

      Several bombs went off right at the goblin's feet, sending the mechanical flying back, but also forcing Veyros to jump back as well.

      “Damn it warlock, I told you not to interfere!” Veyros set off a healing spell upon himself, running forward, several arrows following after as Voldros took careful aim.

      “Syl's with Cit. She's alright though.” Vold spoke softly to Deck, who nodded.

    “As long as we can get this guy down enough to move into the next room, which I hope, for all our sakes, is cooler.”

    Vold and Deck continued barraging with ranged attacks, while Veyros continued his frontal assault, his armor not able to block the spinning saw effectively, which ended up with several long gashes along his arm when he was unable to dodge.

     “I don't care how pig-headed the boy is, we need Cit.” Decktire pulled back and looked towards where the healer was sitting, or rather, standing. Knowing she needed to come forward.

     “I am better.”

     Deck nodded and pushed back in, sending several shadow bolts at the machine, which finally gave one bellowing crash, and collapsed, the goblin jumping out and making a bee-line straight for her.

     Veyros moved to follow the green-skinned adversary, coughing at the smoke that had risen into the room, The only one that didn't seem horribly worried by it was Decktire herself, Shifting and stepping out of the Goblin's reach, shooting off any spell possible, though most of them wouldn't go off.

      “Little help here!”

     “Well maybe you should stop setting off so many powerful spells human.”

     “Oh, first he's a jackass, and now he compliments me! Will you make up your mind Blue-boy?!”

     Veyros glared at Decktire, about to shoot off another retort when Voldros sighed.

     “Will you two stop flirting and finish this fight?”

     Both blushed and looked back at the Hunter, completely ignoring the goblin who took the chance to rush in and knock Decktire down, bringing his sword to swipe at her throat...

     And was literally picked up and tossed into some flaming wood in one corner, his oil-streaked clothing catching on fire immediately.

     Decktire looked over at the flaming humanoid, then up to Veyros, who was breathing heavily against his chain shirt, his arm red from the blood.

     Syl and Citlali came over, picking the warlock up. “Come human, before the rest of the wood decides it wants to catch fire too!”
