Disclaimer: I don't own any series or characters. I make no profit from this at all. |
Finally got to this chapter. I admit, I wanted to actually get through other SF girls, like Luna, Heartless, Amy, and Belle, but I was too eager to get to the new worlds. So maybe some expectation subversion.
For the reviews I got last chapter:
Sage - I’ll try to find shorter links so it doesn't bother you like that again. Sorry if it caused you problems.
SFLOVER - Yeah, I’m trying to go for some bit more story. I wanted for it to just be the classic case of Solo just banging everyone, but some story I feel helps make things more interesting.
F_U_K - No, Wendy is not a loli. She’s a grown woman. I’m making the world run how I want to because I say so. So if something happens in the story where they end up older or younger than they should be, I would make them be the right age if it helps. So expect Wendy and any other lolis that are supposed to be older to look that age, and Ultear, who turned into an old woman in the story, to still look like she does when she was young.
In fact, here’s how Wendy looks like:

Keep in mind that Wendy technically is seven years older than she appears, but still looks like a loli because she hadn’t aged with her companions due to Fairy Sphere. So not lewding any lolis here.
“So Wendy, heard you found yourself a real hunk this time. Has our sweet, innocent girl finally going to go all the way this time?” a drunken woman with long brown hair said as she wrapped her arm around the bluenette’s shoulder.
Wendy could feel herself blushing profusely and tried to pull herself away.
“It isn’t like that, Cana! He’s just someone that I found injured and I’m treating him. That’s all,” she insisted.
“But it’s a bit weird that despite how it’s been a couple of days since you found him, and yet you’re still treating him. And even keeping him at your place,” a blonde haired buxom woman remarked with a sly grin, but this had the opposite reaction she had hoped, as she would end up seeing Wendy looking down, her mood dampening, as she weakly nodded.
“It’s a miracle that he was still even alive when I found him. Even with my magic, I couldn’t even heal him as fast as I should have,” Wendy confessed, recalling the memory of finding the white haired man. The state that he had been in, it was horrifying. Wendy could feel herself shudder at the mere memory of the sight of his bloodied body and the severe burns he had sustained as he just laid there.
When she had tried to treat him, despite how much better she had gotten in healing other people’s injuries, that man’s just wouldn’t heal fast enough, only at a small pace regardless of how much power she placed into her spells. This was something that would only be the case if the person was dead, but he was not after she examined him. She had planned on moving him to a hospital later on, but after he had woken up, he seemed adamant in staying, not that he made his intentions known, but something she merely had to guess or assume.
“Come on, Lucy! Look what you did! You made her worry about her boyfriend!” Cana reprimanded the blonde, which only made Wendy blush harder.
“Geez, stop teasing me! Anyways, there’s nothing going on between us,” Wendy declared and stood up, exiting her guildhall, not wanting to partake with her friends’ constant teasing.
This was a huge dilemma.
“No luck, I cannot understand a single character,” Solo remarked bitterly as he turned every page in the book before tossing it aside from the shelf.
He had looked through several books since waking up in this strange place, and he could not understand anything. That girl that seemed to have treated him spoke in a peculiar language as well that he could not at all understand.
Sure, his memory was a tad jumbled up since waking up, probably from his near death experience, but even if he forgot them momentarily, his subconscious mind should still retain the languages that he had learned in the past, and he new every language there was on Earth.
Yet the fact that he couldn’t understand the writing or speech could only mean one thing…
“Yeah, guess we are in a different world, eh Solo?” a voice spoke out behind Solo and Solo wanted to roll his eyes at the sound of it, before turning around to see a transparent image of his rival, Geo Stelar.
“You’re still here? I thought you’d have gone by now,” Solo responded bitterly.
“Come on, Solo, you can’t get rid of me that easily. I mean, you really can’t. I am you after all,” the transparent Geo said.
“No, you’re just a figment of my imagination that somehow formed when I had my near death experience and passed out,” Solo countered.
“Solo, you were stuck between dimensions. And contrary to that hazy memory of yours, you were actually conscious during the entire thing. You simply can’t remember it. And a place where time is irrelevant, you were conscious throughout a state of limbo, ranging from no time at all to literally forever. So your mind kind of went bonkers and thus, here I am,” the imaginary Geo declared.
“Why must you explain that to me again?”
“Because you give back talk and make a mistake, and try to deny the fact that you’re literally insane now,” Geo said, and seemed to be amused by it.
“I’m more wondering why my mind seems to project the image of the man whose wife most recently became my bitch...” Solo remarked, making the Geo wince.
“Ouch, way to hurt a man’s pride. Well, in the end, I’m here, so deal with it. Though I won’t pop in all the time. Just every now and then to give you company. Speaking of which, what are you going to do now that you realized that you’re in another world where you can’t understand the language?” Geo asked.
Solo thought about it for a while, before sighing. “I need to learn it. If I can grasp the basic structure of the language, I’ll be able to quickly understand it. In which case, I need to reveal to that girl that’s caring for me that I cannot speak her language,” Solo explained.
“Good idea. In the meantime, I can keep you-”
“Please just go away. Forever would be good,” Solo said with an annoyed look.
“Sheesh, fine. Whatever. I’ll drop in later when you’re in a better mood,” Geo said before vanishing.
Solo sighed. Were hallucinations always going to end up being like that? It was unusual, no doubt.
It would not be for another hour before that blue haired girl would return. She said something, but he couldn’t understand her. Instead, Solo spoke up, the first time since he met her.
“You’re here,” he said, making the girl suddenly jump and turn to face him, clearly shocked that he spoke with her. Well, it couldn’t be helped as he hadn’t spoken to her once since arriving here. He just remained silent the entire time. Though another reason could be that he spoke in a language she couldn’t understand either.
She looked at him curiously, and spoke some more words that were confusing to him.
“You can’t understand me because we speak different languages. I’m saying this now so that you realize that,” Solo said, but though the words would not make any sense to her, her own mind can come to the conclusion on its own. It was basic common knowledge.
So Solo figured that one thing to do was to focus on gestures and at the very least get their names out of the way. Solo raised his finger and pointed to himself before speaking, “Solo.”
Perhaps she was still confused based on how she tilted her head, so he tapped his chest so that she could understand the gesture. “Solo,” he repeated.
This time she seemed to get it as she nodded, and mirrored Solo’s gesture and pointed at herself, and said something, being her name.
“Wendy,” Solo said, mimicking her language perfectly. She seemed surprised that he could say her name so easily, and tried to emulate it by trying to say his name, though her attempt came out a bit stiff in comparison, which caused her to blush.
Solo then turned to pick up one of the books from her bookshelf and gestured to her to understand that he was trying to read it, but had no idea on how to do so, which she quickly picked up on.
Perhaps this was not going to be as difficult.
“Wait, he doesn’t speak our language?” Lucy questioned the next day when Wendy explained the situation to her in the guild.
Wendy nodded in response. “Yeah, he can’t. Not even read it. So I started to teach him how to. He’s picking it up really quickly in fact,” Wendy explained. Not only that, but his injuries were starting to heal much faster now, and not even with her magic, but rather they were healing faster on their own. It was odd to say the least, but very much welcome.
Though… the thought that she wouldn’t be able to change his bandages and see his muscular build that she couldn’t help but feel over a few times had her a bit disappointed. But she would never tell them this, since they would no doubt tease her about it.
Could she help it though? She was a grown woman after all, so an attraction to the opposite sex was something that she couldn’t avoid.
“It is weird though. Where could he be from if he cannot even understand our language? Is he even from this country? Continent even?” a silver haired woman with a short, upward ponytail wearing a red dress with a large pink bow said, snapping the bluenette out of her thoughts.
“You’re right, Mira. It is weird,” Wendy confessed, nodding at the silver haired girl. “But given how I had found him, maybe he was teleported from somewhere far away? There was definitely something unusual where I had found him, but I hadn’t noticed anything unusual there other than him.”
There was no weird magic or residual traces of anything unusual. Perhaps there was a very long scale teleportation magic that was used on Solo, and that was why he was hurt so badly.
“We might have to talk to him about it later, once he can speak our language,” Lucy suggested.
“I don’t want to bother him about it, though,” Wendy replied.
“Well, if he wants to speak when he feels like it, we can’t do anything about it. Hey, when he’s ready, why don’t we make him join the guild? It would be nice to see if he would be interested,” Mira offered, which made Wendy smile brightly and nod.
“Magic? Are you kidding me?” Solo asked, speaking in the new language that he has nearly mastered at the pace he was going.
Having read through so many books, he had discovered something he never would have expected: magic actually existing in this world. Not electromagnetic waves or energies that are utilized, but instead actual spells, like in those fictional books that Solo had read back on Earth. Well, though he finds there is magic, it wasn’t devoid of any logic.
Based on his studies, magical power consisted of particles known as ‘Ethernano’, something that exists in all living organisms in this dimension, and this is stored in the body as a container that allows one to channel said energy to use magic.
Seems simple enough, and since this is a different dimension, laws would not function here the same as they would in Solo’s original world. No wonder he couldn’t perform an EM Wave Change when he tried to do so when he had awoken the first time. There was no strong concentration of EM waves in the atmosphere as it did in his planet. Not to mention the magical energy itself seemed fluctuate his powers. He could see strange energy in the air around him. They were around his wounds most of all. Perhaps him being a foreign object that had no magic had a hard time handling the energy.
But in that case, would he be able to use magic? Or was being a non-native on this world preventing him from learning?
Only one way to find out.
Look through many books and figure out a good way to perform basic magic. Maybe he could snap his fingers and make fire, bend water, move the earth, etc.
“Instead of getting it from books, why not just get Wendy to teach you? She’s a nice girl and obviously cares about you,” Geo said, materializing behind Solo.
“No, she doesn’t. She’s only attracted to me, if the fact that she keeps eyeing my body and running her hands on me when changing my bandages is any indication,” Solo countered, not even willing to consider any kind of emotional attraction existed.
“Oh come on, not every girl is gonna be like that. She could genuinely fall in love-”
“Don’t even spout that love crap. It isn’t real,” Solo harshly interrupted.
“Oh, so just cause my mom, friends, and wife succumbed to your huge dick, you’re gonna suddenly stereotypically think all girls are just sluts that will submit to you if you give them a good lay?” Geo asked.
“Why not? I gave them chances. They failed. But who knows, maybe this dimension will be different…” Solo said, before a grin started to form.
Geo noticed that and sighed. “Oh no, please don’t tell me you’re going to try and have sex with her? She clearly has no boyfriend, so nothing to prove with her,” he attempted, but it wasn’t working.
“Oh, there’s definitely something,” Solo said, as he picked up a photograph of Wendy with many people standing together in front of a building called ‘Fairy Tail’. All those people smiling and being happy, it was the kind of sense that made Solo sure that there was a strong bond of love and camaraderie among them. “I want to see if Wendy will end up choosing me or them after I’ve seduced her and get into bed with her.”
The imagination of Solo’s rival couldn’t help but sigh. “You’re a real scummy person, you know that?”
“Yeah, I’m an asshole. So?”
Hey, at least he admits it.
Also, *gasp* no smut?! I must be crazy!
Well, it isn’t like every chapter will be like that. Most of them will, sure, but every now and then, I might have these chapters where nothing really happens.
I also wanted to bring out something that no other franchises tend to use most of the time, being the case of a language barrier. For some reason, people go to other planets and dimensions, and speak perfectly fine. I get it, the language barrier would make things harder to move the plot along, but I feel it would be smarter to actually address things like this.
So I hope you enjoyed this non-sex chapter and hope you read the next one, which will have sex with our beloved Wendy.
And I made Solo have a Geo hallucination because… why the fuck not? He won’t cockblock Solo, but it allows Solo to have an interaction when he’s alone still. And I think making something like this when you’ve had such an experience like Solo just did to be logical. Somewhat.
Anyways, sorry for the wait for this, and hopefully the next chapter comes out sooner.
