}}}Standard disclaimer with a twist: Raziel Kain Dumah Zephon and of course the world of Nosgoth belong to edios. Clever little minions of the economic beastie! Lianne and my sweet Leah and Noah and of course all other of their family members and minor vampires are mine along with my happy(not for long!) little Smut filled plot line! {{{
"Certainly Milord I will tell her when she returns from harvesting duty." Leah informed Raziel. "Never mind madam. I will find her and inform her myself." Raziel said and left heading towards the pull of Lianne’s soul that drew him through the South Gate and out into the fields. She was with a horde of other women reaping in the wheat, and he just stood there for a moment watching in wonder as she knelt gathered a bundle of golden stalks and severed them a mere inch from the soil. The motions were rather erotic, but he knew that for him even her breathing was erotic.
One of her fellow reapers turned her around and pointed at the lone figure that stood staring at her. It was well past dusk and they would have ordinarily been inside the walls, but she and her group had decided that they could finish this field with her among them so that none would dare cause them difficulties with their foolishness. It was Her Lord who stood watching them so intensely! "Milord Raziel?" she said inquiringly? He smiled showing off his dazzling white canines and the dark black lips that marked him as a night creature just as surely as his twin taloned feet and tri-clawed hands. "When this field is done come home immediately I wish to speak with you." He informed her and then he was away before any in the field could blink.
"Let’s hurry ladies I don’t want to keep my new master waiting. If I make him to angry it could well mean my life you know." Lianne said to her friends in the field. "As if dear heart. I saw him and so did the others, and any man who gets hard just watching his woman reap wheat is going to forgive her almost anything!" her best friend teased mercilessly. "Minerva!" she exclaimed in astonishment before she dissolved into laughter. None the less they finished the field going triple time, and were all back inside the wall before suppertime.
"Eat your supper while I speak Lianne." Was the first command that Lord Raziel gave her as she entered weary and wary from her day’s exertions. It was then that she realized that he was about to ask her something, and he fully expected her to think it was an order, but it would only be a request! Niceness, now that was just plain strange, but whatever. Who knew perhaps Minerva had hit on a small portion of the truth. Maybe Lord Raziel was in Love with her!
Quick as a wink she banished that thought from her mind before it could taint it more. She didn’t want to let Lord Raziel see, especially if it wasn’t true, for he would lose what little respect he had for her and think her a silly romantic twit! As it was he picked up a small amount of euphoria, and nothing else.
Raziel smiled adoringly at her as he watched her inhale her hearty meal. Working so hard in the fields must bring about quite an appetite, because she didn’t even hesitate as her mother plopped down a second plate of stew in front of her after the first disappeared. Midway into her third plate she slowed somewhat and looked up at him with a look that he could clearly interpret as she was paying attention now what did he want?
He began carefully, "It has come to my attention that during the first weeks of winter after the harvest business here at the inn is somewhat less than normal. Your mother has assured me that you would not be missed in the chore rotations during this time. I would like for you to come and spend these weeks with me in my stronghold. It would make me very happy if you would agree to come. Will You?"
The radiantly happy smile she gave was answer enough. "Harvest ends tomorrow at noon. I will be packed and on my way through the woods by dusk milord." She informed him then went back to her meal. Her mother even made cake for this evening. It was a rich chocolate affair with fudge frosting and little flowers of vanilla frosting made to closely resemble roses. She took a tentative bite then looked up at her lord. He was staring with intense longing at the sweet. The look of despair on his face made her heart ache.
When Lianne took her cake and moved her chair closer to him he was almost tempted to growl at her for her cruelty. She smiled up at him with such affection and concern that he decided to wait and see what she had planned. "So my lord I think that I have discovered a way to have your cake and eat it too. Let us test it out shall we?" she teased with a smile. Then she took a small bite and chewed and swallowed. It was what she did next that made him tremble inside. She kissed him full on the mouth, sliding her tongue along his lips until they opened to allow her access. Along with her fire hot passion for him he tasted for the first time in near a millennia the sweet flavors of rich milk chocolate. She repeated the process until she had consumed the whole piece of cake. He was quivering with desire, and the moment she finished he said, "To Hell With Tomorrow! Pack Now! You Are Joining Me Tonight!"
"My Daughter needn’t pack milord Raziel. I have her bags ready here." Leah said with a cheery grin. She handed him a rucksack and a heavy cloak that would keep her daughter warm in the elements. He smiled benignly at his lover’s mother and said," Thank you dear lady for a the cake, and for your daughter!" Then he scooped Lianne up and made off with her before she could even protest.
Raziel grinned wickedly as the heavy stone door that shielded the tunnels slid shut, hiding them from the eyes of those who might have followed. Safe at last and he needn’t worry about the little shadow that had tried to tail them. He had lost who ever it might have been. He set Lianne back on her feet and she shouldered her own bag. "What is so heavy in there with three outfits and maybe some extra under clothes?" He asked. She laughed merrily and said, "I don’t think my mother would have packed something so redundant, and useless to the task at hand as extra under clothing!" Then she carefully opened the bag nodded and closed it again. "The tome of Rathamus, as I thought it might be. Finally mother considers me old enough to begin my studies in the mystic arts!"
"The tome of Rathamus?" Raziel inquired? "It’s the family’s learners book for the arts of shamanism and sorcery. If it’s magic we need somehow it’s always in the book. The title is just because my ten greats grandfather Rathamus compiled and enchanted the thing." She explained. When he reached for it however she yanked it back swiftly and tucked it back in the bag. "Last time a vampire touched the book he activated the heart of the sun trap. You can tell by the name what happened I bet." She warned him. Then with one of her trademark smiles she turned and embraced him.
Lord Raziel reacted swiftly to her come-on. He lifted her up and wound her legs around his hips. Then he pinned her against the tunnel wall, and proceeded to ravish her tender mouth. His need was obvious through the link, and she decided to allow him to skip his normal level of concern over her pleasure this time. "Just take me My Lord!" She whispered in his ear. He didn’t hesitate. The moment she gave her assent her lifted her skirts and undid his breeches. His hardened male organ sprang free and he thrust into her all the way to the hilt. With so little preparation, the sensations as he moved within her were close kin to both pleasure and pain. He delighted in it however, and she didn’t let much of her discomfort seep through, just enough to excite him further.
Raziel couldn’t believe his ears when she let him have free reign so soon. But the moment he slammed into her flesh he blessed her for it. Never even when he took her for the first time had he felt such wonderful friction. Soon she was slick with her passion but she kept her muscles tight for his sake, no mater that for her the feeling danced the razor’s edge between bliss and agony.
Both his spirit and his flesh trembled at the amount of love she must hold for him to allow such a transgression. For a moment he felt somewhat regretful over his overwhelming need taking her pleasure from her. Then her moan of delight reminded him that it had only been a moment of pain that she had gladly accepted to bring him greater pleasure. She came a moment later, triggering Raziel’s own release. He saw stars and nearly lost his grip on her the intensity of his pleasure was so great.
At that very moment Kain was receiving reports from his spies in the lands beyond his dark kingdom. The news was grim indeed. To the west a group of rogue vampires that had taken ships and sailed from a land across the sea were causing havoc and stirring up rebellions of the human populace in their wake. To the north The Serafin were once again gathering in an attempt to do harm to the human villages that were in alliance with his sons. Those alliances granted them the right to protection from those who would attack them for being smart enough to know when they were weak.
The latest spy told him of the long effort made by the Serafin to reduce the population in these allied villages. Of how it had caused many women who were with child at the time and those who had recently, or never had children to convulse and die in such a way that it appeared a mysterious plague. The spy also told of those who had survived the ‘Plague’ and how they were made barren by the spell borne illness. It was a most cruel disease and it had been invoked many times over the intervening years since its invention.
"This will cease immediately! I will not tolerate such blatant ill treatment of my allies! It stains my honor that they have gotten away with this for so long!" Kain bellowed. Then he turned to an ancient human man and said, "Summon my sons to my side at once Peter!" The human bowed and went off with all the speed he could muster to gather the master’s progeny together. He had served Kain for seven decades, ever since he was a small boy, and soon his grandson would take his place. Never had he or any before him told of Kain being this angry. He just hoped he lived to retire after this!
Kain watched old Peter scurry off into the corridors of the stronghold the clans called sanctuary. He went not to Raziel first but to Dumah who was most likely the only one not wandering his realm at this cold time of year. His brawniest son had never much liked the cold season, even if it had once granted their kind the grater part of a cycle to hunt their chosen prey. The temperature had dropped significantly in the last three days. Now once he arose Kain would shrug on a fine wool shirt to keep off the chill from without before one of his pet humans offered their life’s blood to warm him from within.
He smiled as he walked back and forth in front of his throne upon the old broken pillar of balance. Soon on the anniversary of her death the ghost would appear to harangue him once again for not giving his life on behalf of the planet. This year he would laugh at her for he might not give his life but he would have revenge upon the order that took both their mortal existences away! Whoever the new Serafin lord was he had best be ready! Kain the ancient enemy was coming for his still beating heart!
With that gore filled thought bringing a grim snarling grin to his face, Kain swept out of his throne room and with several servants following went to arm himself for a council of war. It had been centuries but soon it would be time once again for himself and his dear progeny to go forth and battle for their survival and that of their clans. He just hoped that he was wrong in thinking that this one listed on the casualty lists wasn’t the woman Lianne’s sister or sister-in-law. That would complicate matters well beyond his liking.
Raziel walked into his stronghold through the secret caverns and shouted for his servant. Marcus came running. "The mighty Kain is waiting for you to join your brothers at council my lord. He says that you should bring the girl. Until now I had no idea what he meant but you had best hurry there is whispering on the wind of a WAR!" he stammered as he stumbled to a stop beside Raziel.
Raziel raised his eyebrow quizzically. There had not been a major conflict in more than half a millennia. He smirked evilly at the thought of shredding enemies and glutting himself on their life’s blood. The idea made him aroused, and he contemplated taking Lianne again before heading off to the council, but decided that no matter Kain’s liking for her he was not going to be pleased if Raziel delayed.
Lianne was awed at what her staying out beyond sunset had brought to her! Access to the high council of vampires! Wow! She followed along behind her lord as they trekked across the impressive landscape under the light of the full harvest moon. Raziel had to activate several switches by moving blocks and solving apparently complex puzzles but he already knew their solutions so they progressed quickly. They arrived at the sanctuary of Kain and of all vampire kind, only two hours after they popped up out of the tunnels.
When she entered, step and a half behind her master he went to a table that had been set up in front of Kain’s Legendary throne on the pillar of balance. She seated herself on the cold stone floor at his feet and looked around. She wasn’t the only lesser life form under the table. Several dogs and two other humans sat under the huge piece of furniture, as well as a well fed looking lynx. She offered a silent smile in greeting to her fellow creatures and settled in to listen. If she weren’t mistaken, her Lord would request her input once they had returned to his stronghold.
For an hour they discussed all minor matters. That was the will of Kain, as he did not want anything small to interrupt his big announcement and the important maters it brought to the table. They hashed out a few minor disputes including the compensation owed by Dumah for allowing his kin to kill Raziel’s kin. Then Kain called for silence and took the floor of discourse.
"It has long been my suspicion that Raziel’s former brothers have been on the rise again. Just yesterday my spies brought me the evidence I had wished not to find. I would love to shred these fellows again and take more; fine and fair fledges from their ranks but alas that is not the main issue at hand. They have caused irreparable harm to the human population of several free villages under alliance with us.
They used an ancient curse to cause a ‘Plague’ to mysteriously break out in these villages. This plague caused the violent deaths of many fertile females and young ones yet to be bred. It also left the unfortunate ones who survived sterile and in most cases mad as rabid beasts." His voice echoed in the hall. His fury the likes of which his sons had not seen in many a century.
Lianne couldn’t help the stifled sob that escaped around her hands. Kain heard the tiny noise of grief. It did something to him that had not been done in nearly two millennia. That tiny half muffled cry touched his heart. "Here is one who witnessed the death of a victim. I believe your new woman can give us a detailed description Raziel." He said. Raziel didn’t even have time to mentally summon his mistress out from under the table. She crawled out. The looks of fury and sorrow mixed on her face stained by tears.
"My sister in law was six months pregnant at the time of the plague. At first we thought it was an ordinary pregnant woman’s illness. That given good food and rest, she would recover. The next day we learned that much to our grief it would not come to pass. She grew delusional in her fevered dreams, and then she began to scream. I was there caring for her, as my brother had to take care of his three other children. That screaming will stay with me into my own grave be it a hundred hours or a hundred centuries distant. It has been two years, yet I still hear it in my nightmares.
She screamed out "Let me go No! No! No! Stay away!" And then she looked at me with eyes that appeared lucid for the first time in a long vigil, and she said, "Lianne, make them take their claws out of my belly, please! They might listen to someone like you! Please they are hurting the babe with their shredding!" Then she went under again screaming all the louder in her agony.
She had convulsions from that point. Crying out and twisting so brutally that at one point her heels touched the back of her head. After that last one she said to me, "Tell your brother I am sorry!" and with a look that said she was finally free of her torment she breathed her last." Lianne whispered as she told the story. Then she turned from them to hide her tears. Raziel rose, without Kain’s permission, which was usually, viewed as high bad manners, but Kain had risen also. They both went and offered her comfort as best they could, followed closely by Zephon, and even Dumah.
Once she had been soothed somewhat and allowed to settle in her master’s lap instead of back under the table, they continued with the other new threat to the empire. "I say that we take none of theses Serafin bastards as fledges. They are as a whole unworthy! No offense meant to you my brother Raziel." Dumah said his voice only a hair’s breath away from a snarl. "I agree with my brother. If we should find ourselves short of fledges after the battle I say we convert some of the other enemy to our service as secondary clansmen. For the honor of the lovely lady that is now clan of our brother and for our own as well it would be best." Zephon murmured in his quiet and gravelly tones.
Lianne spoke before she could think. "Umm, My Lord Kain which would you say will require the greater troop commitment from the clans?" He stared at her for a minute that it took for him to remember this wasn’t an ordinary human. "It will be the Serafin of course. These foreign vampires have but one millennia old being among them, the rest are all fledges. Why does that matter to you Lianne?" He asked? She smiled, and said, "Well my lord I have an idea that I think might entirely free up the ones you were planning to send after these invaders from elsewhere. You see with the information I now have I can get the human people of the various allied villages so furious they will be ready to obliterate anything that remotely resembles an enemy.
Then I will tell them horror stories of what a vampire’s enemy would go through in the tender care of the sons of Kain. Thus making it seem far worse to let you have them, then to have the humans pursue the Serafin themselves. Then I say ‘OH But what will happen to the plan of vengeance if the vampires must split their troops? Why it will take three or four times as long!’ So I will talk them into helping out by removing this minor threat from their shores and saving their kids in the same fell swoop. ‘These vampires are without any honor whatsoever! They won’t uphold the alliances and treaties your village has with the clans!’ I would tell them.
Thus they hate these and destroy them. One day after I have a talk with them the hunt will be on. I would guess that within the week the free humans would have the idiots in ashes even the one that’s a thousand years old. Problem solved leaving plenty of Clansmen to take on the true enemy without any distractions!" She finished relating her plan, and focused on the other vampires in the room besides Kain.
All of Raziel’s brothers were staring at her in wonder. "What have I all of a sudden turned an odd color or something?" She asked in innocent curiosity? "Oh no milady, we are just all of a sudden reminded why Kain chose to make a Serafin Knight our eldest brother. His judgement regarding people, and everything else is as always unerring." Zyphon remarked slyly. "Yeah and his luck when it comes to incidental company is incredible!" Dumah teased. Lianne felt her master’s hackles go way up at that. "I warn you to keep a civil tongue in your head Dumah! This is no common slut at my side as her cleverness has already shown. She is mine, Clan and MY mistress besides!" Raziel warned his brother.
They left the council soon after that but instead of returning to Raziel’s stronghold they went to Kain’s quarters following swiftly behind the master vampire. "That was very brave of you Lianne, but do you really think you can get the citizenry riled up without bringing them down upon the clans as well? I do not look forward to quelling another rebellion against my authority." Kain said darkly as soon as the door slammed shut behind her. She smiled at him sweetly and with all the innocence she could muster. He felt his will beginning to go all gooey and soft.
"She turns that look on any human male alive and he will beg her to tell him what she wants so he can run off and do as she says." Raziel reminded his parent. "I know that boy. If I feel as a spineless slug for even the barest instant it would take the strongest of the Serafin saints to resist her! The question isn’t if they can say no it is if they will stop when they are done with the invaders, or are we next on their list for a little revenge of the humans?" Kain inquired looking this time at Lianne.
"I can do it no problem. I just need some good old fashioned horror stories my lord the more gory the better, both of punishing the Serafin, and the last time you put down the human rebellion. With these tales in hand I can go and convince the allied villages that being an ally is far better then being a rebel or an enemy." She responded. Then she grinned happily at her lord’s lord.
"So Raziel are you still inclined to share the lady with me now that you have her so close to home?" Kain inquired. All of a sudden Lianne giggled softly. " I think actually Milord that I will leave her in your care for now. All I ask is that while she is under your watchful eye you not leave her alone with Dumah for a single second. I do not trust my dear brother for an instant in her sweet company." Raziel said insistently.
Lianne looked at Raziel and suddenly it hit her that he intended to leave her with Kain for quite an extended period of time. She met his eyes and mouthed the word ‘WHY’. He sent back to her a complex thought that she was still struggling to understand as he walked over and left, slamming the door behind him. He had to prepare for battle, and she would only get in the way. Kain was already ready, and would be able to watch over her far better at the moment.
Kain could see the link between his son and the woman shimmer as Raziel informed the love sick Lianne of the reason behind her seeming abandonment. His son loathed the idea far more than the girl did. He knew that Raziel was struggling to part himself from Lianne at any time even now. How would it be when they realized that Raziel had made a servant of her and she would live as long as Raziel himself did? Kain himself had just recognized the woman’s status, and he was certain that Lianne knew not and Raziel though he took advantage of the bond didn’t fully understand the implications of forging a blood tie with a mortal.
Done in such a way it slowed and then stopped the aging process. Making the girl ageless though still humanly vulnerable. Continued sips of her master’s blood would over the years make her close to a fledgling in strength and speed, as well as enhancing her senses. Soon she would be as a ghost in the night. Dancing swiftly from shadow to darker shadow with only the merest flickers across the retinas of her fellow humans to mark her passing.
"Peter! Come here! Now!" Kain bellowed! His servant an old man who was obviously ‘Peter’ entered and prostrated himself on the floor. "Get up Peter. Your long and loyal service has earned you the right to stand in my presence." Kain commanded. The ancient man stood slowly, his joints obviously paining him greatly. The intense discomfort made all the worse by years spent in the cold stone chambers of The Sanctuary.
"Peter this sweet lady is Lianne of the free villages. She serves My son Raziel and by extension myself. I would like for you to see her fed bathed and back here by half past midnight. Also show her to the rooms next to my own the ones that can only be reached by Soul Reaver locked portals, or through my chambers." He ordered the elderly gentleman.
Then Kain turned to Lianne and smiled benignly or at least benignly for Kain Lord Master of all the vampires of Nosgoth. "Should you cross paths with my son Dumah I expect that your tender throat is fully capable of shouting out the windows as you cry for help?" Lianne nodded wordlessly in reply still somewhat concerned over this change in plans. "Fear not my dear one. Peter may be old but he is quite capable of putting my sons in their place, as he is quite the magus. He will guard you well when you are not in my presence, isn’t that right Peter?" Kain asked?
Peter knew his part in this little melodrama backwards and forwards and sideways. He gave a refined and courteous version of Lianne’s wordless assent then offered the Lady his arm and led her out of a door opposite the one that she had entered. He waited till they had gone down several staircases and around several corners before he asked her anything. "Why?" was his first question. "Simple enough. I stayed out late mouthed off and got both my innocence and a pint or two taken from me by Lord Raziel. He took a shine to me at the very beginning and through several minor adventures we find ourselves here." Lianne said, playing down the events, so as to keep from bragging.
Humility, Honesty, Loyalty, it said on the family crest. Lianne took those traditions to heart on her mother’s knee and she wasn’t about to let what the goddess had so kindly blessed her with mess with her spiritual upbringing. "Why are you even as I when you were brought up to be free?" Peter wondered aloud. "What? Why am I loyal unto death, To someone like Milord Raziel or His mightiness Kain? Two who are considered monsters by all accounts, and wicked users of my tender flesh besides? Because if that were the definition of a monster then I would have gladly defied, and turned to the one whom I was to wed.
However he was more of a monster than appearances can ever make ether your master or mine. He rescued me from a fate worse then Death! For that and for the secret love that lies in my heart for Raziel I will always stand by his side until my maker calls me home." Lianne told him. Her eyes met Peters and they shared a moment of absolute understanding and complete agreement. Peter would not spill the beans and Lianne had a new friend to count upon when times got rough as they most certainly would.
