Chapter the Sixth.
Skye was frying vegetables in a large skillet when Keith snuck into the kitchen and glanced around nervously.. "What are you doing here?" She asked in surprise, looking at the clock. "Are you off your rounds already?"
"I took a bathroom break." He pulled something out of his pocket. "Chop these up and put them in a sauce."
"Keith..." Skye eyed the mushrooms with distaste. "These are the sleeping ones! What are you--?"
"Shh." He covered her mouth with his hand. "Just don't eat any of them. It's part of my plan."
His hand slid away, and she frowned pensively. "Alright, but..."
"After everyone is asleep from dinner and you're in the boss's bedroom, you have to use the radio to call for help." He put his hand in her skirt pocket. "That's what you'll need. Tell them we're being held hostage, where we are, all that stuff."
Skye nodded, her palms sweating already. "I'll try."
