Chapter 6 Laeyla Stanhope was on pins and needles at the thought of seeing her son again. It'd been months since she'd last held him in her arms and caressed his smooth, yellow-blond hair. She knew he was no longer a boy, but couldn't wait to shower him with comfort and love when he arrived. Juleus Truth had forwarded both her and Reginaldd a copy of his report ahead of their arrival. It had also included a transcript of the message the mystic Jafton had been ordered to relay, which had revealed her sons' suffering at the hands of the Amani General. The mystic had been placed on probation but had not been outright sent to jail to await trial like most of the others left alive in Ulrikk's camp, including Grannger. The Amani General himself had also survived and had been placed in a high security compound within Velika to await trial with no hope of bond. Laeyla would have preferred to have seen the man lose his head personally. But she knew that if he was not dishonorably discharged from service, he would instead be sent on a dangerous mission that would no doubt result in his death. Either way, she would not concern herself about the villains in this matter anymore, not when Tristtan was finally returning to her. The High Elven escort arrived first, via a crystal powered air balloon transport. Laeyla was vaguely aware that Reginaldd stood at her side for he'd been quiet for most of the morning. But she was grateful he wasn't being his usual dour self as they neared their reunion with Tristtan. The docking pad was located near the western tower of Allemantheia's stately silver and bronze skyscrapers. A few tendrils of hair were whipped free of Laeyla's bun as the wind picked up. She managed to pull the strands from her eyes in time to witness Tristtan depart the transport. Being a diplomat, she did not break into a run as her feet truly wished her to do. But she remained at Reginaldd's side and waited for Tristtan to approach them. He was wearing a pale lavender overcoat, with grey trousers and matching boots. This was attire she'd hand picked personally to be given to him before his arrival. It warmed her heart that he'd decided to wear it, knowing that he perhaps had access to his military uniform after his rescue. She realized she'd been patient long enough and once Tristtan was in striking distance, she opened her arms wide and embraced him for a full minute. When she finally released him there was a suspicious glossy sheen within her lovely blue eyes. Apparently Reginaldd noticed this. "Laeyla please, control your bloody emotions," Reginaldd stated sourly. He made no move to hug his son and merely regarded him shrewdly from a distance. "Welcome home, Tristtan. You'll find that your mother has outdone herself as usual, and prepared a small feast in your honor." "That can wait, I need to speak to both of you." He didn't need to add the 'in private' for he was certain they realized that what he had to discuss with them was not meant for public ears. Laeyla nodded her agreement before leading the way to the closest teleportal that would take them to the lower areas of the city where most of the High Elven residents made their homes. The Stanhope residence overlooked a man-made river that flowed through aqueducts beneath the city proper. Color sprouted from the outer rock ledges in the form of giant blue and pink flowers and vines that seemed as if they'd come from a Titan's garden. It was a balcony that overlooked this impressive view that Laeyla decided was the perfect place for their talk. The servants knew not to bother them for at least an hour. "You look well," Laeyla forced a smile as she rubbed her hand against Tristtan's shoulder. "But just as a precaution we should have our personal physician look you over." "Mother, I'm fine. And I would be even better if I hadn't been ordered back here post haste." Tristtan glanced at his father who was being remarkably tight lipped. That didn't bode well. Laeyla lowered her gaze and felt as if Tristtan had struck her physically. It was simply the worst feeling in the world for a mother who's son greatly disapproved of her. "Just so you know, my stay here is only temporary for I plan to return to Herald Fort as soon as I can. Since you've drawn the council into this then I'd prefer if the meeting can be conducted today if possible. I want my stay here to be extremely brief." "That may not be possible," Reginaldd finally spoke up. "The council moves at their own pace, you know this. In addition, you've been through a traumatizing experience. The Federation will understand if you take a couple months leave." "A couple months?" Tristtan scoffed at him. "I don't want to be gone for a couple days. I need to return to Herald Fort." "You mean you need to return to him." Reginaldd's reference of Luceus was spat from his lips like something that had spoiled and curdled. However, he knew something that Tristtan didn't, like the fact that Luceus had been detained in Velika and was there even now. It finally occurred to Tristtan that his parents knew much more than they were letting on. "General Magelus dropped everything to rescue me. I merely plan to repay that loyalty with my continued service." "If you were referring to service in the military, then I'd have no quarrel with that. But service as his whore -- that is something I simply can not allow," Reginaldd stated with a calm he did not feel. Tristtan should have suspected they knew about his relationship with Luceus. But there was no getting out of this situation now. "My love life does not concern you, need I remind you that I am a grown man." "And with obligations that don't include you spreading your legs for a lusty General!" Reginaldd's dark rimmed eyes now glared at his son. Tristtan realized he was in over his head with his father, and glanced towards his mother for support. Laeyla had gone strangely quiet. "Mother, tell me what is really going on here? Why are you both dead set against Luceus?" He regretted referring to his lover by his first name when he saw Reginaldd's frown deepen. Laeyla sighed but said nothing at first. She couldn't exactly blurt out the history between them and Luceus' father which was at least the primary reason for Reginaldd's animosity towards Luceus. "We just want you home where you belong. After what's happened to you, perhaps you'll come to realize that being a soldier is not your true calling." "Well neither is being a politician! So what other options are left me -- being a whore?" Tristtan didn't enjoy being rude to his parents but he didn't like where this conversation was taking him. If a whore was defined as someone who had many consensual sexual partners, then his time with Ulrikk had certainly made him into that. He'd not been willing at first, but after his unpleasant jaunt in the pit, he'd done everything they'd wanted. "Tristtan please, I don't want us to fight, I wanted this to be a happy reunion." Laeyla gazed at him with a pleading expression on her face. "If you wanted a happy reunion, then you should not have cut my rescuer out of it. I want to contact Luceus, now." "Once you begin to cooperate with us, then we'll see about granting some of your wishes." Reginaldd turned towards the balcony exit which indicated he was finished with this conversation. Tristtan glared at his father's retreating back, it was just like him to treat the entire situation like a diplomatic negotiation. He was the man's son for crying out loud, and he hadn't even embraced Tristtan once since his return. Turning to his mother, he hoped to have better luck with her. "Will you not allow me to contact Luceus?" Laeyla was silent for a moment before answering. "It would be unreasonable to cut you off from him one hundred percent. But as for right now, perhaps your father is right, maybe time apart is what you two need to be able to look at the situation through non-judgmental eyes. You have to realize, if you remain with Luceus in that way -- then you may only be setting yourself up for heartbreak in the future." Laeyla did feel hypocritical, for she had given Luceus her blessing when she'd first believed that he was the only man capable of saving Tristtan. Well, he'd accomplished that, but now they were allowed to put the matter into perspective and she found that if Luceus were anything like Winstone, she didn't want Tristtan with him. But she was still not convinced that was the case. Winstone had been a one of a kind bastard, and perhaps Luceus had yet to stoop that low. "Since when do you allow father to sway you in your beliefs?" Tristtan turned away from her then, knowing that he would get no help from her either. He quickly left the balcony and headed towards his quarters. It was like he was ten years old again and had been sent to his room for arguing with his parents. His isolation was self-imposed this time as he needed to clear his thoughts. For the fear of never seeing Luceus again left an extremely bitter taste in his mouth. OOO "You've got some explaining to do," Traviis stated as he was ushered into a lavishly decorated parlor within the Stanhope's home. Tristtan had only returned home that morning and Laeyla had actually expected General Magelus to make an appearance at some point, thus she was surprised but not disappointed to find Traviis standing in her parlor come afternoon. However, the handsome human archer was not alone; he stood before her along with a human female she recognized as the healer who'd been present at their first meeting with Luceus. Her name was Rosalinda and Laeyla only gave her a second look this time because of her present company. The priestess was extremely lovely with chestnut colored hair and expressive sea-green eyes. She was dressed similarly to that day in Velika, when she'd worn a short pant suit of mahogany with gold beadings - only today instead of mahogany, the color was a shimmery black. The outfit placed all of the woman's assets on display, from her perfectly proportioned legs to the deep cleavage revealing the high curve of her bosom. The seashell necklace she wore around her neck seemed almost strategic as if she wanted the eyes to go to her chest area. There was never a day in Laeyla's life that she'd been able to dress that scandalously and get away with it. Yet still, she had met Luceus' Commander, and Brie's outfits were just as revealing as this woman's. Speaking of Luceus, she wondered where he was now, for if these two were in Allemantheia then their General could not be far off. She decided to come right out and ask, not putting it past them to act as decoys while Luceus made off with Tristtan from his room. "Where is General Magelus?" "You speak as if you don't know." Rosalinda eyed the High Elven female with obvious suspicion. She was of the belief that the older woman would not grant them an audience, but Traviis believed otherwise and had proved her wrong. "Don't know what?" Laeyla soon realized that Reginaldd's quiet nature earlier that morning meant he'd been up to something, and she suspected she was about to learn just what that was. "Luceus has been suspended from active duty and is being held under house arrest in Velika until further notice," Traviis explained. "This is the first I've heard of this." Laeyla crossed her arms over her chest as she soon realized they were eyeing her with obvious mistrust. "You think I had something to do with this?" "Either you or your husband," Rosalinda spoke up. "This is absurd, I was expecting to receive the General at a later date. Tristtan will certainly expect to see him." This had not been set in stone, but after her earlier conversation with Tristtan, she knew she'd have to do something or risk losing her son completely. However, she'd full well expected the General to show up uninvited, but now she knew that wouldn't happen. "Then I suggest you discuss this matter with your husband and get to the bottom of this." Traviis didn't want to believe Laeyla had anything to do with Luceus' arrest but only time would tell. Laeyla nodded, "Wait here." She turned and left the parlor. But returned only moments later when another question occurred to her. She stopped in the doorway when she noted Traviis rubbing his hands along the side of the other woman's shoulders. He was gazing at her tenderly before he quickly embraced her and gave her a kiss on the cheek. She then overheard Traviis' next words to her. "Love you Rosie, I'll see you soon." Laeyla witnessed as Rosalinda smiled up at him before heading towards the exit. She then re-entered the room after the healer had departed. Her movements were involuntarily stiff as jealously raged through her. She was perhaps almost twenty years older than the lovely human woman with the supple skin and no bags under her eyes. It bothered her that Traviis already had someone his own age in his life which meant that whatever tryst she was to have with him, was suddenly tainted by the sheer fact that she wouldn't measure up to Rosalinda. "Where did she go?" Laeyla asked, managing to keep the curt tone from her voice. "She is returning to Herald Fort to assist Brie who was ordered to take Luceus' place temporarily," Traviis explained. Rosalinda had only come along with him in the first place in case he'd require assistance while dealing with diplomats. But she'd soon realized that Traviis could handle himself around Laeyla. "Oh, well I imagine the General's Commander is not too happy with these turn of events." Laeyla pursed her lips as her gaze traveled over the well-muscled male specimen before her. She admired the way in which Traviis' silky dark hair fell across his left eye. Coupled with his chiseled features, light grey eyes and firm lips, he was a very handsome man indeed. She'd been foolish to think he'd be available. "There's no doubt about that, Brie's --" He cut himself short when he noticed a brief annoyed expression cross Laeyla's lovely face and then it was gone. "Is something wrong?" Laeyla felt she may as well come out and say it. She wasn't trying to broker a diplomatic treaty here. No, she was trying to get this handsome young man into her bed and wanted to know if she was perhaps wasting her time. "Are you fucking that girl?" Traviis' eyes widened as he glanced from side to side with confusion. "Rosie?" "Yes, Rosie," she replied snidely at his obvious pet name for the healer. Suddenly, realization dawned on Traviis and he began to chuckle. "Are you jealous?" Laeyla tilted her chin upwards as if to suggest such a thing were beneath her. "Why wouldn't you tell me you were in a relationship?" "Because it's not that type of relationship," Traviis began. "Rosie's my twin sister." It had been a long time since color stained Laeyla's cheeks, but it did so now, "Oh." "Oh," Traviis echoed with a grin. "Which means, I'm still very available." "I see," Laeyla clasped her hands together as she felt heat pool between her thighs. "Although this means that the rest of the female population have to contend with someone like your Rosie running around free." "They have nothing to worry about, Rosie has sworn off men," Traviis explained. Laeyla raised an eyebrow in his direction. "Really? I sense a story there." Traviis nodded, "A long one. But it's not mine to tell." Laeyla smiled at him genuinely. "You're a good brother. I'll have a room prepared for you, so make yourself comfortable. Then I'll see about getting to the bottom of Reginaldd's antics." Traviis nodded his agreement with that decision. He'd come here purely on Luceus' behalf, but if he ended up getting laid in the process then that was just a bonus. It pleased him that Laeyla had been jealous, which meant that perhaps what they were about to embark on would me more than a passing fling. And that was just fine with Traviis. OOO Reginaldd had just come from seeing Tristtan who could barely say two words to him if it didn't involve when he would get to see Luceus. He hated that his son was already so tied to the Castanic male and there was seemingly nothing he could do about it. As he headed through the lushly carpeted hallways of their home, he noted when Laeyla turned a corner with Sarlena at her side. She had just finished issuing the Elin her orders before her assistant skipped away. She then turned towards him and began to stride in his direction purposefully. He almost wished he could turn around and ignore her but knew she would follow him regardless. "We have to talk, come with me." She turned in the opposite direction without waiting to see if he followed her. She could have had their discussion right there but they'd be in danger of being overheard by servants. They hadn't survived this long purporting the image of a loving couple by being careless. Once ensconced within the thick walls of a private library, she turned to pin him with her ice blue gaze. "Please tell me you had nothing to do with General Magelus' suspension and subsequent house arrest in Velika?" "Sounds as if you're begging me not to lie, what would be the point in that?" Reginaldd replied snidely. "Will you get over yourself? Tristtan is expecting to at least be able to contact Luceus, what exactly are we going to tell him?" Laeyla wanted to know. "I imagine the truth would work, this General dug his own grave." "With your help of course." Laeyla couldn't understand how he could be so calm about this entire matter knowing it was about to blow up in their faces especially where Tristtan was concerned. "Why are you ragging me about this? We both know Luceus is no good for Tristtan." Laeyla shook her head, "No, that was your estimation alone." A knowing look crossed Reginaldd's hardened features. "Oh, do you have a thing for this General too?" He was instantly stunned when she responded with a sharp slap to his cheek. "How dare you?!" "No, how dare you?! Winstone is gone and buried yet you live your life with this constant obsession over a dead man." "You know what further drives this obsession? The fact that you have no problem allowing Winstone's son into Tristtan's life. Can you not see what a recipe for disaster that is?" "You have yet to prove to me that Luceus is anything like his father. Therefore, all your threats and accusations are groundless. All I see is the baseless posturing of a middle-aged man!" "He murdered his last lover in cold blood." Laeyla's anger instantly deflated and transformed into confusion. "What?" "It took some digging, but I'd learned that a young High Elven male by the name of Curttis, had his neck snapped while they were both still naked in bed." Reginaldd gazed at her somberly as the distressing words fell from his lips. "It was a clean break, beyond healing." "You can't be serious?" "It was further compounded by the fact that the entire matter was instantly swept under the carpet. There was no investigation and no trial, it was ruled a self-defense slaying, which in itself is ridiculous. I'd actually obtained a picture of the boy who couldn't have been much more than one hundred pounds. The idea that someone like him could threaten a man the size of Luceus is completely laughable. But he'd gotten away with it -- until now." Realization swept across Laeyla's features. "You had the Federation re-open the case, thus his house arrest." "Don't look at me like that Laeyla. Wouldn't you prefer that we get the full truth before we send Tristtan off to be with this man?" Reginaldd wanted to know. "If I believed for one second that all you had were Tristtan's best interest at heart, then I'd agree with you wholeheartedly. But I know you well Reginaldd, and you won't let this feud go -- even if it means taking down the son of the man who wronged you. Now that you've already set this process in motion there is no turning back. And all I can do is hope that our son is not caught in the crossfire." Laeyla spun on her heels and left the room, her anger obvious with each stiff movement. By the Titans, if only what had happened twenty-two years ago had gone differently then perhaps Reginaldd would be the better man for it. However, there was no changing the past. OOO "This is my father's doing, I know it." Tristtan stood with Traviis in an archery training courtyard equipped with bulls-eyes against the brick western wall. His mother had informed Tristtan that the archer was here, along with dropping the bomb of Luceus' house arrest. "You're going to have to explain that one to me, Tris. I can't for the life of me imagine why your father would have a problem with Luceus, he barely knows him." Traviis took aim before letting a steel tipped arrow fly, it hit the bulls-eye several feet away only seconds later. "I don't understand it myself, but I promise I'll try to get to the bottom of it." Tristtan hated having any conversations with Reginaldd period. However, if he was to save his lover from Reginaldd's wrath, he'd have to attempt to reach some kind of understanding with him. "Well, he'll have the best defense. Sarrion headed down there to handle the case." Traviis new that his fellow human was well versed in politics and the law. If anyone could get Luceus off on these charges, then it was him. "What exactly is he being charged with?" Tristtan wanted to know. Traviis sighed before lowering his bow and giving Tristtan his full attention. "It's stuff that happened years ago. Someone did their homework and dug up dirt to use against him." Tristtan frowned, knowing that his parents would have the resources to dig up all the dirt they needed on Luceus should they care to. He wasn't certain how he was going to respond to this if indeed they were the ones trying to bring down the man he loved. However, he didn't want to talk about it anymore. "I trust you'll be joining us for dinner?" He wasn't certain how long Traviis would be staying but was grateful to see a friendly familiar face from the army. "I wouldn't miss it for the world. Your mother has offered me an extended stay but I'll probably be heading back to Herald Fort in a couple of days," Traviis explained. "Do we know when Luceus' trial is set to begin?" Tristtan asked. "There's been no set date." "I'll have to find out because I want to be there," Tristtan stated. Traviis grinned at him. "I'm pretty sure half of Herald Fort will be there. It's funny, we were about to send regiments to the Island of Dawn, but now with everything in chaos, Brie's happy she didn't have to see that order through to send more men and women to their deaths." The death tally at the Zodiac forest had been close to three dozen soldiers from both sides, most of them part of Ulrikk's team. It had been such an unnecessary waste of life that could have all been avoided if Ulrikk not taken Tristtan. At least now, the Amani General was to be punished. But Traviis suspected he wouldn't suffer anything close to what Tristtan had been through. It took a lot to bring a General down, which is why the archer believed there was still hope for Luceus. OOO Laeyla entered the darkened guest room through a secret passageway that tied several of the bedrooms on that floor together. The wall slid soundlessly back into place after she'd slipped through. She headed purposefully towards the queen-sized bed and could make out the mound of a sleeping form beneath the sheets. The room was illuminated by luminous moonlight that shone through the open windows. As she approached the bed, she felt her nipples tingle against the silk of her night gown as her anticipation grew. As Laeyla knelt on the bed and pulled down the covers, expecting to see hunky masculine flesh; what she found instead were two feathered pillows. As confusion struck her, the light in the bedroom suddenly blinked on. Laeyla glanced up to find Traviis standing besides one of the corner lamps wearing only a pair of white shorts. She realized he must have heard her enter his room and his survival instincts had kicked in. She quickly straightened before heading towards him. "Traviis, uh -- I thought we could talk." She was a bit flustered considering he'd been the one to get the drop on her instead of the other way around. There was a half smile coupled with a knowing look on Traviis' handsome face. "And do you usually enter your guests rooms to talk, dressed like that?" He drew his hair out of his face so that he could devour her from head to toe with the use of both eyes. This was the first time he'd seen her with her hair down and it fell in thick, silky, white-blond waves to just above her lower back. However, her hair was an afterthought as what currently held his interest was her phenomenal body. He couldn't understand why for the life of him that someone like her had felt threatened by Rosalinda when she was almost twice his sister's age but just as smoking hot. The silky, white night dress she wore was practically translucent which meant it left little to the imagination. He could even make out the pointed tips of her nipples through the material. When she began to undo the halter ties from around her neck which had kept the garment in place, he knew he was about to be introduced to the rest of her. "Actually, sometimes I enter -- wearing even less." She allowed the garment to slip down her body and immediately stepped out of it until all that she wore, was a pair of silver heeled stilettos. She felt herself shiver slightly as she watched his light grey gaze fall upon each exposed area of her body. "Not too often I hope." Traviis was rooted in place as he was slightly taken aback. He'd expected to be the one to seduce Laeyla, not the other way around Laeyla chuckled, she was thrilled that he was jealous of unknown men who had come and gone before him -- even some she'd known when he was still yet a boy. "Traviis, from the day I first met you I'd imagined those large hands of yours upon me. So now, I bequeath you. Place your hands upon me." She cupped her full breasts to indicate exactly what she wanted. Traviis closed the distance between them almost instantly. He waited for her to lower her hands before he cupped and squeezed the large mounds gently. They filled his palms completely. He made round circular motions with the base of his palms against the tight nipples and watched as her head fell backwards before a low moan escaped her. He released one breast before grasping her hair gently he turned her to face him. "I hope you didn't plan to get much sleep tonight," He whispered as he eyed her parted pink lips with wanton desire. Laeyla shook her head in response but said nothing. "Good, because I plan to be fucking you until daybreak." Traviis then slanted his lips across hers in a slightly bruising kiss. He lifted her with ease and felt as her legs wrapped around his waist before taking her to the bed. Once he laid her across the sheets, he broke the kiss as his eyes once again roamed across her supple, naked body. His gaze rested at the juncture of her thighs which sported a light sprinkling of golden hairs. His fingers immediately went there, as the thick pad of his thumb discovered her hardened nub of pleasure. His thumb was much larger in size, which allowed him to stroke the entire circumference of her clit several times over. Realizing this was not enough, he lowered himself down her body before spreading her legs wide. A louder moan escaped Laeyla's lips as she felt Traviis' slick wet tongue upon her. He'd make circles around her clit before pulling the sensitive hood of skin back and licking the pink, exposed tip directly. White sparks of pleasure flashed across her eyes as her body shuddered in response. When he encompassed her entire bud of pleasure between his lips and began to suck with wild abandon, she felt her first climax near. She could tell that Traviis was no newcomer when it came to this, and a part of her was pleased that she'd picked an experienced partner. When two thick fingers slipped into her moist vagina, it was enough to send her careening over the edge of ecstasy. Laeyla's entire body shook as she came, reveling in the fact that he continued to lick and suck her for several minutes after. Finally, Traviis removed his head from between her legs, and paused only long enough to slip off his shorts. His large cock burst free, throbbing red as if hungry for its mate. He grasped Laeyla by the hips before lining up his cock with her exquisite heat. He rubbed the shaft along her moistness, creating the most delicious sensations as his cock met her engorged clit. He noticed when she squirmed beneath him in anticipation and decided that perhaps he'd teased her enough. Grabbing her hips with both hands, he drove into her with one massive thrust. An involuntary grunt escaped his lips coupled with her cry of pleasure. He began to pump into her almost immediately as the feel of her slick walls around his pulsing cock threatened to see him finish far too soon. He soon slowed his movements before licking a damp trail between the cleft of both breasts. He felt her long nailed fingers in his hair as she kept the silky tresses out of his face which gave her an unobstructed view of him feasting upon her. His lips encircled the rock-hard bud of jeweled-toned nipple as he created an enticing suction. Laeyla's long legs seemed a permanent fixture wrapped around Traviis' hips and firm buttocks. She imagined the tips of her heels had dug into bare skin upon occasion but he didn't seem to mind. She'd been thrilled to glimpse the size of his cock when he'd finally gotten naked with her, and couldn't wait to put that enormous dick in her mouth their next go round. Now she'd settle for feeling it thrust inside her as the pressure of the shaft against her clit prompted her ever closer to a second orgasm. She felt when his massive strokes increased along with his breathing and she thought that this was it! But suddenly, she felt him pull out of her before he flipped her on her stomach. Laeyla almost squealed in delight when he gave her all but a few seconds to grow accustomed to this new position before he was once again entering her. Her vagina walls contracted around the loving invasion of his cock as he lifted her in a kneeling position. She could feel the muscular outline of him spooning her naked body and realized she wouldn't mind if they remained like that forever. When those large hands of his began to tweak both nipples between the flat pads of his thumbs and forefingers, Laeyla's body began to literally shake as her climax hit her. If Traviis hadn't been holding her upright as he continued to fuck her, she certainly would have melted in a boneless puddle. "Laeyla, your breasts fascinate me." Traviis once again pulled out of her before flipping onto her back. He moved upward while straddling her body until he could position his cock between the cleft of those glorious mounds of flesh. He was very pleased when he noted her using her arms to squeeze both breasts together thus creating a slick channel allowing him to fuck her breasts to the fullest. Laeyla almost shrieked in delight at the length of Traviis' cock. When he thrust forward between her breasts, the tip actually made it all the way to her lips. Thus, she opened her mouth with her tongue stuck out, allowing her to swipe at his cock head at the top of each stroke. This kept up for almost a few minutes before a guttural moan escaped his lips. Laeyla soon felt as warm, sticky semen splattered across her chest and chin. She got a little of it between her lips thus giving her a taste of this magnificent man's sweet essence. She soon realized she wanted more. When he fell onto the bed, she was immediately atop him, cleaning the traces of his seed that still clung to his impressive cock that even now had not deflated in size. "Traviis, I must say you are the biggest I've ever had," She idly commented as she continued to stroke him with her hands after having completed her task. "And I assume you're talking about my, big personality." Traviis winked at her. It should have seemed strange that they were having a casual conversation while Laeyla gave him a hand job. "Well, your personality seems to have found it's niche." Laeyla was now using both hands wrapped around his thick meat to create a tight suction sensation. "Yes well, sometimes I can fly off the handle." Traviis thrust his hips upwards which caused his cock to almost tap her cheek. "I don't consider that a bad thing." Laeyla replaced her hands with her mouth and began to deep throat him almost immediately. Traviis squeezed his eyes shut which amplified the sensations of Laeyla's fantastic mouth. He knew he should be working on a way to help Luceus which was his main reason for coming here. But alas, a little time to himself was certainly allowable. Involuntarily, Traviis' hands twisted in Laeyla's hair as he exerted the slightest of pressure to force her throat even deeper around him. He heard her gag slightly but she recovered quickly. However, it was enough to once again have him blowing his load. His eyes opened wearily as he saw Laeyla lick her lips of his excess semen. "Now we're even, two to two." "Oh, I didn't realize we were keeping count." Traviis grabbed her by the wrists and flipped her underneath him. "Now it's on!" "Wait, you can go again this soon?" Traviis nibbled on her right nipple briefly before replying. "Laeyla, there's a lot you still need to learn about me." After he spread her legs and thrust into her, he stated, "Prepare to be schooled." OOO Tristtan hadn't slept much as he'd thought about Luceus for almost the entire night, wondering how the General was faring under house arrest in Velika. But when he did manage to fall asleep, the nightmares were so vivid that he'd prefer if he'd stayed awake. He thought he'd have more time to deal with and assess what he'd gone through at the hands of Ulrikk and his men. His mother had discussed them going to therapy together, but he'd gotten her to back off at least for the time being. Tristtan was his own worst enemy here, and he'd honestly thought that with Luceus' help he'd be able to get through this without seeking the aid of a professional. But things hadn't exactly gone as planned, not with Luceus stuck in Velika and Tristtan in Allemantheia. Their reunion had been so brief before they'd gone their separate ways, and Tristtan kept reliving it in his head. It was the only positive memory keeping him from devolving into a weeping sack of flesh. Tristtan quickly showered and after getting dressed decided to practice some archery to take his mind off distressing matters. He soon realized he'd prefer company and found himself outside Traviis' guest room moments later. He knocked softly since it was still early. When there was no response he figured he'd let the man sleep if that were the case. However, he knew that as a friend, Traviis would be there for him, and he really needed a friend at the moment. Thus, he opened the door and pushed inside to the room. "Traviis, it's Tristtan; I hope you don't mind if --" His words caught in his throat when he saw his mother and Traviis, naked and entwined upon his bed. He noted when the archer's eyes fluttered open before he bolted upright in bed. The jostling caused Laeyla to also stir. Tristtan noticed the flushed expression on his mother's face and realized he hadn't seen her this embarrassed in a long time. "Sorry to interrupt." He quickly bolted from the room, knowing that was the only thing left to do. Once out in the hallway, he let his long legs carry him to the first floor without looking back once. So, his mother was having an affair with Traviis of all people. Strangely enough, he wasn't upset about it, not when he had bigger problems of his own. OOO After convincing Traviis to let her go after Tristtan alone, Laeyla had returned to her rooms via the secret passageways and quickly donned a long, pale pink dress before going in search of Tristtan. She soon found him in the archery courtyard. He was retrieving a bow and arrow from one of the nearby storage racks. "Tristtan, I --" She realized then she had no idea what to say. Tristtan sighed before giving his full attention to his mother. "I'd known you and father had grown apart, but..." "Tristtan, what do you want me to say? That I'm a woman and I have needs?" Laeyla bit her bottom lip before softly adding, "That part's true I suppose." "Mother, you don't need to explain yourself to me, I understand." Tristtan truly did. He did have to wonder just how long she'd been sleeping with Traviis or how they'd initially met? Laeyla wasn't certain why but she believed him. "You know what passion is, no doubt it's due to your General," She winked at him. He gazed at her with newfound interest. "You think of Luceus as, my General?" While Curttis' death was still being investigated, and some of the facts as to how Tristtan fell into Ulrikk's hands were a bit murky, it would take more than that for Laeyla to come to the conclusion that Luceus was a snake like his father. "Your father may be dead set against him, but I'm not convinced as yet that he's all bad for you." Tristtan set his bow aside and moved to hug his mother. "Thank you." He managed to keep the tears from his eyes but it felt so great to know that at least one of his parents were in his corner. "Don't thank me yet, your meeting with the council is scheduled for tomorrow. I only learned late last night." She'd needed a pick-me-up after that turn of events, thus the reason she'd sought out Traviis. "What do they want from me?" Tristtan asked as he released her. Although he'd wanted the meeting date to arrive as quickly as possible, he now realized that the whole matter smelled of trouble. "They only came to be involved after your father received an anonymous tip. Someone wanted us to know of your disappearance right away, and that Luceus was somehow to blame. That's why he was delayed in Velika, and it was also the reason Juleus Truth's forces were added to your rescue team." "That had to have all been Ulrikk's doing," Tristtan explained. Laeyla nodded, "We know that now. But it doesn't excuse the fact that some serious accusations are being brought against Luceus." "Why won't you tell me what those are?" Tristtan wanted to know. "Until they are proven, it doesn't matter," Laeyla replied. She'd prefer to spare Tristtan the alleged unsavory details of his lover's actions. "But perhaps it does." Laeyla pressed her lips together as her husband who had just entered the courtyard interjected himself into their conversation. "I feel we should inform you of the main charges placed against General Magelus." Reginaldd regarded his son with his usual cold stare. "Reginaldd," She used a warning tone which he as usual ignored. "Apparently a few years ago, he killed his last lover -- a High Elven boy by the name of Curttis." Laeyla sighed and sought to counteract Reginaldd's damaging statement. "It was an incidental slaying as Reginald seems fond of omitting." "I'd heard it was self-defense, Curttis was trying to kill him," Tristtan stated calmly. When he noted that both his parents were looking at him with a dumbfounded expression on his face, he realized they hadn't expected him to know about this matter. He imagined that his father had wanted much the same response that Ulrikk had gotten out of him when the Amani General had first told him this story. He hadn't know that Curttis had been High Elven, but it didn't matter. Tristtan knew Luceus would never hurt him in that manner. "You knew about this? Yet you still want to be with a known murderer of innocent boys? What the fuck is the matter with you?" Reginaldd was livid. "Reginaldd that's enough, just leave!" Laeyla's eyes shot daggers at her husband daring him to do otherwise. He glared at both of them before storming off with a huff. "Listen, I have to get ready for the day I have a meeting with Sarlena later. Just, forget about this for now." Laeyla placed a kiss on her son's cheek before leaving the courtyard. Only moments later, Traviis located Tristtan in the same area. The younger man was testing the shaft steadiness of a silver tipped arrow. He was seated on a stone bench and only glanced up briefly when Traviis entered before returning his attention to his task. Traviis took a deep breath before striding forward to join Tristtan on the bench. "Tris, I'm sorry." "Don't be," Tristtan replied without raising his gaze to the man seated beside him. "I just didn't want you to think I was disrespecting you. Since this is your mother after all." Traviis gave Tristtan a sheepish look. This was a very awkward conversation for them to be having. "I've known for a long time that my parents didn't love each other. Therefore it's not surprising if one or both of them seek comfort in the arms of others. I won't deny that it's strange considering how close we are in age but, if you're what makes her happy, then who am I to argue?" Tristtan managed a smile as he glanced at Traviis. Was it possible that everyone around him would have their happy ending except him? He was scheduled to go before the High Elven council tomorrow, and was dreading it like a man on death row dreaded his execution. Somehow he knew that whatever questions they asked would spell major trouble for Luceus. He wondered how this was all connected to Curttis and decided to ask Traviis about it. "You know of the charges against Luceus?" "Some," Traviis replied. "Tell me about Curttis." Traviis soon realized where this conversation would lead, and took a deep breath before beginning. "Curttis never elevated to much more than Luceus whore, I think it was either their third or fourth night together when the incident took place. We were celebrating a victory that night, there was a lot of wild partying and drinking. Even some narcotics were being passed about, I fear Curttis may have gotten hold of some of those just before Luceus summoned him. According to Luceus, they had just finished maybe an hour before and he'd fallen asleep with Curttis at his side. But he woke up to a dagger narrowly missing his eye. Luceus is trained for battle, his instincts told him he was in danger considering that Curttis did manage to draw blood, so -- he went for the jugular. Did he use excessive force? Well clearly, but it hadn't been intentional. Imagine if you just woke up and someone slashed you on your face with a dagger, what would you do?" Tristtan got exactly where Traviis was coming from. And hearing it explained like this and the fact that Curttis may have been doped up on drugs -- thus his foolish actions -- made a lot more sense to him. "By the Titans, that just seemed like it could have all been avoided." Traviis nodded, "It could have. Which was why Luceus banned the use of non-sanctioned narcotics at the Fort after that." "Thank you for telling me your side of the story." Tristtan was more convinced than ever that Luceus would get off on these charges. There was no solid evidence to bring him down and Tristtan couldn't imagine a judge sidelining Luceus over circumstantial evidence. He could only hope that common sense prevailed. OOO Later that day, Reginaldd noted Laeyla's assistant as she bounded through the halls en route to Laeyla's office. He quickly moved to intercept her. "Laeyla is currently not at home." "Oh, she didn't inform me that she was going out today." Sarlena's wide blue eyes regarded Winstone warily. Although she did not live at Stanhope manor, Laeyla normally provided her with an itinerary of her schedule. "What have you got there?" Reginaldd noted the stack of paper's in the Elin's hand and did his best to keep the gruffness out of his voice and the venom from his eyes as he spoke to her. Sarlena was not only Laeyla's assistant but her head researcher as well and the girl was pretty good at what she did. Therefore, Reginaldd was dying to learn what Laeyla was investigating. "Lady Stanhope asked me to perform an investigation on one Rosalinda Leigh. These are the results." Reginaldd extended his gloved hand to the shorter female. "I'll make certain she gets them." When the Elin hesitated his facial expression darkened and he quickly ripped them from her grasp with an annoyed, "Give me those!" He smiled inwardly when her eyes widened as she hopped backward from him. "Your work is done here." "Yes, Lord Stanhope," Sarlena turned on her heels and walked briskly from the hall. She hoped her mistress wouldn't be too upset with her. Reginaldd soon began flipping through the stack which was at least ten pages thick. His eyes widened as one juicy tidbit after another practically flew off the page. "Well, well, well -- what have we here?" It was yet another weapon to use in his arsenal against Luceus. He went in search of Laeyla. Reginaldd soon found his wife on one of the many balconies overlooking the aquamarine man-made river. She was sitting at a lounge table having a glass of lemonade with the human archer. Reginaldd had no doubt she was fucking the man at night, but it didn't concern him as long as she was discreet. "Well I suppose it's a good thing you're both here. Perhaps you'd like to explain something to us, Officer Leigh." Traviis was immediately on his feet as he eyed the older man warily. He saw the stack of papers in his hands but thought nothing of it. "What are you on about?" Reginaldd turned to his wife. "Did you know that Luceus had an affair with this man's sister? And apparently, Rosalinda was engaged to Luceus' brother at the time. Oh, but here's the kicker." A smug grin crossed Reginaldd's face as he revealed the full extent of the besmirching evidence against the General. "Luceus and Rosalinda have a three year old son together." A.N.: I know Luceus was blissfully absent this Chapter, but I promise he'll be back in full swing next chapter. If only to see how he survives these current accusations being leveled against him! I simply wanted to give Laeyla and Traviis their moment to shine, and I believe I accomplished that. DaC: I think you're pretty much the only one reading this story now. I'd planned to complete the next few chapters post haste (since I'm on vacation this week) and be done with it, since feedback has become so limited in this category. However, I had a dental procedure this morning and I'm not certain how much I'll be able to concentrate on writing over the next few days. I'd planned to upload Chapter 7 by the weekend but we'll have to see.
