Vampire's Kiss
This story was made for fun and definitely NOT for making profit or money out of it. Trust me, ya boi Mina only sees writing as a hobby and their passion. More important, I do NOT own King of Fighters.

Okay, guess who finally shown up? You can say, once in hundred years Mina brings better(?) quality content....So, yeah, after dealing with unexpected one-shot projects, it means that I have time to on this project again (Yayyy~) This time decided to give incubus!Orochi his own arc. So, yeah, during this backstory arc, expect a lil backstory, more characters and brief info about Hunter guild in which there is one certain redhead ^^ . A month has passed, and it seems even after the attack of one vampire, life in the church is pretty calm, and aside from one young priest named Shingo, no one has even the slightest idea of this incident.
No matter how you look at it, he does not appear suspicious and continues to fulfill his duties as a priest to this very day. Even his daily routine may seem too mundane for an average person.
However, it can’t be said about one demon who is never been ceased to be entertained by this human.
That’s right. The silver-haired incubus always watches over the brunette and ensures that he is safe and sound.
Even if Shingo looks docile, he committed a huge crime that could cost him his priestly duties and endanger Orochi’s life.
~One year ago~
One rainy evening, an exhausted stranger asked for shelter in the church, and Shingo couldn’t drive him away. After all, he feels it might be too cruel and object to what he has been taught.
Besides, not when this young man with fluffy silver hair passes out on him before Shingo even lets him in.
After some time, the brunette carries him into his room and checks if this person is wounded or hurt.
When Shingo removes the silver-haired male’s black turtleneck long-sleeved shirt and jeans, the pendant with a round purple stone catches his eye.
Though it could be his mind playing tricks, he senses a weak demonic force from the necklace. Despite this, he temporarily overlooks it and puts the unexpected visitor in his bed.
Some time passes by. It is the dawn of the new day. After Shingo wakes up, the first thing he decides to do is to check on his brought stranger.
It seems he is still deeply sleeping and doesn’t look like he will wake up soon.
I wonder will he will be fine? Anyway, I have to rush now. Shingo wonders as he takes one more look at this beautiful sleeping stranger before leaving his room and repeating his daily routine.
After a while, he checks on how his sheltered young man is doing while he has some spare time in the afternoon.
Thus, upon entering his room, he notices the fluffy silver-haired male sitting on his bed with his crossed legs and resting his spread arms.
As Shingo closes the door behind him, he asks. “Oh, you’re awake? How are you feeling?”
The mysterious young man only slowly blinks at him with a calm look.
When he turns his head and closes his eyes, he responds. “I’m alright, thank you. However, were you the one who brought me here?”
“Y-yes.” The brunette genially answers.
The silver-haired male takes a deep breath and exhales.
When he grasps the bedsheet, he opens his eyes and lifts his head. “Why?”
The priest only rubs his nape and explains. “Er… Um, you seemed to be seeking for the help and that’s why it was enough for me.”
After a short pause, the silver-haired young man holds his chin and chuckles. “You are a pretty strange fellow.”
When he tilts his head, he calmly asks. “What is your name?”
“Shingo.” the brunette replies while keeping his fist close to his chest.
It seems hearing his name curves a satisfied smile on his face. How naïve and cute… However, this might be interesting for a while.
After fixing his hair, this young man gracefully pushes himself from the bed and introduces himself. “I guess it would be fair if I let you know my name as well. I’m Orochi.”
As he studies a young priest, he approaches him.
When Orochi is close enough, he holds his arm and lowers his gaze. “I arrived here recently because I hope to start my life on the fresh page. As you see, I’m still struggling a bit to get on my feet and have no place to go. That’s why I thought maybe I can have a fleeting respite in the house of God before I’ll find a job.”
Of course, after hearing his story, Shingo understands he cannot deny him.
After averting his gaze, the brunette tightens his lips and replies. “I… I see. You know, I don’t really mind having a roommate for a while. However, first, I need to let the master of dormitory know about it so that we can help you.”
The silver-haired male immediately becomes alert. Damn it… That’s no good! I cannot let anyone know about me.
Suddenly, Orochi takes his hand and grasps it. “You can’t!”
Surely, such a gesture startles Shingo, and he raises his eyebrow.
When the silver-haired male softens his pleading gaze, he doesn’t remove his eyes from him. “There is no need to bother anyone because of me. I don’t want to cause any trouble, if that is okay with you.”
“But there is nothing shameful about relying on others.” Shingo objects.
Unfortunately, he feels it might be useless to argue with him any further, and he gives his final decision. “Fine. However, if you need anything, let me know, okay?”
Orochi feels like a heavy boulder is removed from his chest, and he lowers his shoulders. “Thank you. So, I’m under your care, Shingo.”
And with these words, the young priest’s gray routine may become more colorful than he expects.
A week passes by. Nothing has changed ever since Orochi asked for temporary shelter in the church.
More so, Shingo is still fed by his same tale. But he patiently waits until his new roommate is confident enough to leave.
However, day by day, Orochi’s behavior concerns him more.
Apparently, the silver-haired male has never touched his brought food or drinks.
Orochi politely expresses gratitude for the kindness shown, and dismisses any worries, even when asked why he never desires anything.
At first, the brunette assumes Orochi is a picky eater, and he goes outside to have anything.
Other than that, nothing stands out about him.
Even if Orochi is somehow most of the time by his side, Shingo is not extremely bothered.
Besides, the silver-haired male only innocently follows him when he can and keeps him company.
On the other hand, during his roommate’s stay, the young priest senses a growing dark energy surrounding him.
Maybe he has a cursed pendant? Either way, I need to talk about this with Orochi. Shingo wonders on his way.
It is a calm evening. As usual, when the brunette returns to his room, he is greeted by Orochi as always. This time, the silver-haired male rests in the armchair with his crossed legs while reading a book.
Upon noting the brunette, he lifts his gaze and softens his gaze. “Shingo, you look so worried. Did anything happen to you?”
When he puts the book on the coffee table, he waits for his partner’s response.
Meanwhile, Shingo briefly clenches his palms into fists and addresses him. “I want to talk with you about something.”
Orochi raises his eyebrow and listens to him while keeping a serious look.
After swallowing his saliva, Shingo looks at Orochi’s pendant and points to it with his gaze. “That pendant. It’s a tool of occultism. That’s why I want you to get rid of it as soon as possible. Otherwise, your soul might be corrupted by the devil.”
However, the silver-haired male cracks a smile and chuckles. “If that is so? What if it is an old family relic? Your God cannot do anything about it, even if it is possessed by the wicked spirits.”
“You poor child… Then your family didn’t realize that this tiny stone radiates a dark energy, which grows stronger every day. I understand how much you value this pendant, but for your own sake, please destroy it before it’s too late.” Shingo patiently asks him.
When Orochi does what he has said and voluntarily removes the necklace, it surprises the brunette.
While the silver-haired male approaches him, he tells him in a playful tone. “If that’s so, then I’ll entrust it into your hands~”
After gently taking his hand into his, Orochi places the pendant and closes Shingo’s palm without removing his gentle eyes from him. “Please take care of it, Shingo.”
Before taking his leave, he adds with a smirk. “Don’t worry. I’ll be fine and I should return as soon as I’ll take care of some business.”
When the brunette is left alone in his room, he stands in the same spot while staring at the pendant in his hand.
After clenching his palm, he places it against his chest and lowers his gaze.
Strange. It doesn’t have any dark aura anymore. More importantly, how did he know what I was about to ask? Perhaps I’m more predictable than I thought. Who knows? Shingo ponders.
“No. Maybe I’m just too tired.” The brunette says to himself.
However, instead of going to sleep, he sits in the armchair while waiting for Orochi.
Eventually, his eyelids become heavy, and he doesn’t notice how taking a quick blink turns into an hour of nap.
Finally, after waking up, he feels something wrapped around his shoulders.
When he opens his eyes, he sees that someone put a blanket on him, and, turning his head, he notices Orochi deeply sleeping in his bed.
When did he return? Shingo wonders.
However, the very little that he knows is that soon he will see his true colors.
