Chapter
Eight
They returned to the mansion slowly, Raziel more
confused than he had been in a while; he didn’t trust fate and knew that her
‘gifts’ where always double edged. Kain had looked sick when he left them to
return to the mansion; paler than Raziel had ever seen him before, ghost like
even, his hands had been trembling and not with anger, and his voice had shook
when he spoke. He sounded like he was keeping a frightening amount of emotion
down, had it been anger, fear or grief? Raziel had no idea.
“What could she have done to him?” he breathed
without actually realising it, Janos and Vorador looked at him sharply as if
he’d said something completely absurd
“Is it not obvious?” Janos was the one who
eventually spoke, Raziel looked at him feeling hopelessly lost. He had not felt
this lost in such a long time, it made him sick to think that after all he’d
been through he was still so very clueless.
“She gave him back his memory,” Vorador spoke then
at Raziel’s even more confused gaze he elaborated “I told you something was
wrong, his memory just wasn’t coming back only bits and fragments in a jumbled
order. Chaos had put a block in his mind, Fate removed it.”
“So he,” Raziel began
“He probably remembers everything now,” Vorador
nodded “like I said when he first arrived he most likely just needs some time
to get it all straight in his mind, it must be a hard thing to come to terms
with.” Raziel nodded as the mansion came into view.
His boots crunching over the still frozen swamp,
the winter had really set in this year, fresh snow fell every night, they’d had
a few snow storms but so far no lives had been lost, something Raziel had been
surprised by, they had always lost people in the winter when he was clan Lord.
The snow always claimed at least one life, usually a, untrained fledgling who got
caught in a storm or slipped and fell becoming buried in the snow. Snow while
not quiet as deadly at water still killed vampires as easily as humans if not
easier. It had always been the winter in which he had enjoyed his father’s
teleportation the most. Avoiding the cold and wet had always been a high
priority when he was young but now it just didn’t seem to matter that much.
Angrily he kicked at the snow on the doorstep as Vorador fumbled with keys; he
felt so useless, so wasted, he hated being so clueless not knowing or
understanding what Kain was thinking or going through and thus not knowing how
to help. In reality he knew there was little he could do and that Vorador was
right time would be the only aid in this situation but still he hated this
feeling.
Vorador opened the door to the mansion and Raziel winced
as the heat hit him in the face like a brick, shaking the few flakes that had
fallen from his cloak he wandered into the mansion after the two elders and
walked right into Janos’ back. Vorador had stopped dead all of a sudden and the
magic of the whisper echoed in the air around him, after a moment he returned
to normal.
“He’s in . . . in the war room,” Vorador sounded
immensely confused “he wants us up there,”
The war room was really more of a museum, Vorador
had filled it with ancient blades and bits of armour, a huge map of Nosgoth was
framed on the wall; Raziel had once looked very closely at it and had noticed a
multitude of little holes covering it, Vorador had explained that they had once
used the map to plan their assault across Nosgoth the pins had been used to
show where people were. The war room when it had been used had been used to
plan attacks more than anything else; Vorador had spent many a night in there
with Kain when the two were taking Nosgoth back for the vampires. But why would
Kain be in there now? They weren’t at war, were they? He felt Vorador grip his
shoulder in his talloned hand and had time to glance at the elder vampire
before they were swallowed in the energy of Vorador’s teleportation spell,
reappearing outside the door to the war room. Entering the small and now
cluttered room Raziel saw that his father had brought the map down and was
leaning over it writing frantic notes on a lose pad he’d found. Pins littered
the table.
“Are you alright,” Vorador asked gently, Kain
paused for a moment in his scribbling and looked up
“No I am not alright but there’s not a lot we can
do about so don’t fuss.” He snapped and looked back down at the paper before
growling slightly and crumpling it into a ball and hurling it at Vorador. Kain
sat still for a moment before writing something else down, a dangerous little
smirk appeared on his mouth and his hand sped up, writing down idea after idea.
“Kain,” Vorador pressed taking a tentative step
forwards, his nervousness was not as unplaced as many may seem, Kain’s
unpredictability had often resulted in the two physically harming each other.
“Back off Vorador,” Kain snapped but Vorador did
not back down, he sighed heavily and looked firm, the tentative attitude gone
replaced by his usual iron will.
“Kain this isn’t right, stop this.” He growled
lowly “you shouldn’t be doing this you should be . . .,”
“You heard her,” Kain almost shouted “apparently
I’m the only one who can and the quicker I fix things the quicker I can damn
well leave.” Angrily Kain tore up the new piece of paper, hurling in the rough
direction of a bin already piled high with wrong ideas.
“Leave,” Raziel asked quietly, Kain stopped dead and
looked at him for a moment, the look on his face guilty, Raziel was about to
ask what his father had exactly meant by leave, did he mean leave the mansion,
leave Nosgoth or leave life altogether. However Janos beat him to it changing
the subject.
“What are you trying to do?” the ancient asked,
Kain didn’t answer for a moment just looked at his childe, his expression
changing ever so slightly as he remembered everything that had occurred between
them. “Kain,” Janos pressed.
“She said balance had been disrupted,” Kain
muttered finally looking away from his child “I want to know where and when,”
“What are you talking about,” Vorador snapped still
annoyed.
“Balance doesn’t disrupt itself and despite what
you may think disrupting it is a damn hard thing to do, it takes something big
to mess up the balance. So strange events must have occurred, I want to know
what, anything from a rise in muggings to a rise in accidents. I want to know
exactly where things have been going wrong more than usual.”
“Alright,” Janos sat down next to him “I understand
what you are asking but what will this achieve, we know balance had once more
been upset, chaos is pushing his limits of course there will be more ‘chaotic’ occurrences.”
“I want to know because,” Kain glared at the
ancient, Raziel smirked Kain had always hated explaining himself “the daemons,”
“Daemons?” Raziel asked Kain nodded purposefully
not looking at his childe.
“They are the most obvious disruption, they
shouldn’t be here. But while they are the most obvious disruption it takes a
large amount of unbalance energy to create a binding weak enough to push them
through.” Kain sighed loudly and put his head in his hands “but that makes no
sense, something that big would have been noticed,”
“That big?” Vorador asked and Kain snarled
“Yes BIG, big not small, something really obvious
like a war or a big octopus sitting under the pillars.” Kain got a hiss from Janos at that comment and
a forced smile from Raziel. “Mollusc with a god complex.” Kain muttered
“How do you know the daemons are coming through and
not just breeding here,” Raziel voiced his own theory
“Because Daemons don’t breed.” Kain murmured
rubbing his eyelids “they are asexual.”
“How on Nosgoth do you know that?” Janos snapped
still sore about the god comment.
“We dissected one,” Vorador answered “years
ago.” He turned to Kain “so you think
something big has disrupted balance enough to push daemons through but it has
to be very well hidden because something that big would not have gone
unnoticed.” Kain groaned knowing how bad that theory sounded. “Then he has to
be focusing on one area, somewhere secluded.”
“So we find where the daemons are coming through,”
Raziel smiled “and we find . . .,”
“We find the cause,” Kain lifted his head and
looked at Vorador who had surprisingly made hs theory work.
“So what if we find the cause what will it achieve?”
Vorador snapped sitting on the edge of the table and crinkling the ancient map
“Chaos is drawing energy from here; we need to stop
him doing that. By stopping the cause of the imbalance we will create balance
and like magic fix things before they get out of hand like last time.” Vorador sat still for a moment thinking this
over, after a while he sighed unable to find an argument against what Kain was
proposing
“Alright,” he sighed “how do we find these little
imbalances,”
“Ask people,” Kain said simply “send out messengers
to everyone, building sites, guardians, the old circle, humans and vampire
alike, I want to know everything.” Vorador nodded and stood once again the
whisper crackled through him and after a few moments Umah stuck her head around
the door, pointedly not looking at Kain but the blush on her face was obvious.
“Vorador?” she asked
“Umah,” Vorador smiled pride more than evident in
his face, Raziel couldn’t help but grin “I have a job for you,” the young woman
beamed
“Sire,” she stood in the doorway eyes still fixed
on Vorador not looking anywhere else. Raziel frowned, what the hell was going
on?
“send out all the messengers, in fact send out
everyone, we need to know what has been going wrong, anything from,: he smirked
at Kain “a rise in muggings to earthquakes, nothing is to insignificant at this
point.”
“Don’t say hello then.” Kain muttered as Umah
turned to leave, Umah blushed harder and ran. Vorador looked at Kain sharply
before his expression softened.
“Go get some sleep; I’ll call you if we get any
news back,” he pressed pushing the scion gently to his feet.
“I look that bad,” Kain asked as he was ushered out,
Vorador nodded
“Yes you do, sleep, and stop thinking.” And with
that the ancient pulled the scion out of the room and down the corridor with
only slight protest from Kain. Raziel turned to Janos swallowing the lump in
his throat, he could practically feel the tension vibrating from his father.
“He looks upset,” Janos said quietly, Raziel nodded
and stood walked after his father.
What must Kain think? Now that he remembered
everything, everything from his destruction of the circle to his childe
willingly going into the blade. Raziel tried to fathom what it must be like to
discover something like that, was Kain angry at him was he sad? Did he feel the
grief that had been on his face as Raziel surrendered himself to the blade or
was he just confused still? Raziel’s own mind span with the thoughts and twice
he nearly turned back to his room, should he just leave his father alone? Or
should he go to him try and talk this out? So many questions, but only one
choice and a choice that didn’t really exist if all were trapped by fate.
Before he actually realised what he was doing he had stopped outside the big
dark wood door knocked and entered without waiting
to be called. He was unsure wether Kain would want company tonight but he
decided he needed to talk to him at least if nothing else. He entered and
closed the door, bolting it; his father was lieing onto of the furs on the bed,
watching him.
“So you know who you are now,” Raziel spoke
quietly, unsure of what else to say. Kain managed a small smile but it was like
poision. Raziel frowned, this really was his father now not the fledgling he
had once been, no this was Kain an old soul in a frail looking form.
“Yes, I remember,” Kain sighed; it was
strange that he had changed so much while still looking the same. Everything
had changed, his aura, the way he spoke, it was slower and more well formed,
his movements were purposeful and delibrate whereas before they had been fast
and rather careless. The simmering magic had gone to, swallowed under Kain’s
now complete and iron control. “I have a question for you” his father spoke
suddenly surprising Raziel
“Ask it then,” Raziel prompted
“Why don’t you hate me?” it was not the
question Raziel had been expecting and it nearly floored him. He blinked at his
father who looked perfectly serious, still lieing on the bed arms folded under
his head. Raziel had to swallow hard wetting his throat before he was able to
answer such an odd question.
“What . . . why should I hate you,” he asked
after a few moments that he used to get his spinning mind to stop. Kain laughed
a rough and bitter sound.
“I used you, I loved you and condemed you to
a fate much worse than my own,” he snorted suddenly “if that is what I do to
those I love then I would really be worried if I were my enemy.” But Raziel
hadn’t actually heard the sentence, he’d stopped breathing
“You love me?” he whispered walking to the
bed, his father just looked away, Kain had never been good at expressing
himself and often got annoyied when he tried. In the past it had taken a lot of
coxing and blackmail for him to get his father to admit anything. Perching on
the edge of the bed Raziel leaned over his father, putting his weight across
his father’s chest.
“Raziel, go away.” Kain muttered but there
was no energy in the words, just embarrassment, Raziel smiled and leaned down,
just touching their mouths together before pulling back enough to speak,
“I couldn’t hate you not really, even when I
claimed to hate you I loved you, I have told you this before,” he kissed him
again “and I will keep telling you if that is what you want,” he kissed him
again before drawing back mere millimeters so Kain could speak.
“I don’t understand you,” Kain sighed, breath
rushing against his child who was still millimeters away “I don’t think I ever
have,” he smiled “but it doesn’t matter,” and he closed the gap. The kiss
started almost chaste a slow movement of reassurance and relief; but the hands
that began to wander up Raziel’s back and side grew more urgent as the kiss
deepened. Hand’s wandered to hips and pushed the two of them together grinding
slowly.
“I thought you were exhausted,” Raziel gasped as he
pulled back, his father’s hands moved back up, burring themselves under his
shirt and pulled him back down, rolling him onto his back before pulling the
shirt off and going for pants.
“I always have enough energy for you,” his father
smirked, throwing his child’s clothing in the general direction of the floor.
“Oh have you nowwww,” Raziel trailed off as his
member was closed in a tight grasp. He licked his lips which were suddenly dry
“straight to . . . the point,” he gasped
“Always,” Kain smirked leaning down to his childes
throat his mouth moved to just below the other vampire’s ear and he started to nip
at his neck. Moaning even louder at the actions, Raziel thrust his hips up
against his father’s hand.
Moving across Kain took possession of his childe’s
partly open mouth. Raziel purred into the kiss and pressed up hard, forcing his
way into his father’s mouth, but Kain met him and fought back hard. Raziel
groaned aloud, while he had enjoined the mix of aggression and submission from
his father previously he had missed the all out dominance he had been so used
to. Kain growled into the kiss and his hand began to move faster on his
childe’s arousal. Raziel whimpered, the faster pace was bringing him rapidly closer
and closer to the edge. Lightening jolts of raw pleasure were being forced
through his entire body, accumulating in his groin, building the pressure till
it almost hurt. It was coming so quickly, he tried to pull away and slow his
snapping hips; he didn’t want it to end yet, he tried again but all he managed
to do was make Kain smile and tighten his grip to the point of pain, thumb
occasionally pausing to tease the head.
Raziel gave up fighting knowing he couldn’t win and was hit hard by his
orgasm; he broke the kiss, crying out as his passion spilled forth. Head
dropping back, he shuddered his entire body turning to mush. His limbs felt
heavy and lethargic little jolts of electric pleasure still bolting through him
making him spasm gently.
Absently he felt his father’s tongue on his abdomen
cleaning away his fluids, but it felt far away, he felt his quivering dull down
slightly and he mouthed words but no sound escaped, he swallowed again and made
a small sound feeling his father move further up his body slowly coming back to
his mouth and claiming it almost gently. Returning the kiss, Raziel tasted himself
on his father and he purred, hands beginning to trail slowly over Kain’s back
and chest before one wandered south to cup his father through the leather. Kain
moaned and kissed him harder, arching his hips into the hand. Raziel smirked,
turn about was fair play; breaking the kiss he nipped at Kain’s ear drawing
tiny droplets of blood and running his mouth down to his father’s alabaster
throat. His smirk widened when Kain’s breath came in harsh gasps, and he
stopped tormenting him for a few moments to rid him of his pants.
Kicking the pants off Kain rolled onto his back allowing
his childe better access, his fingers trailed over the smooth flesh as Raziel
settled himself on his lap, Kain’s hands coming to rest on his child’s hips.
Raziel smirked,
“Enough energy indeed,” he grinned down at Kain who
smirked lazily up at him
“You seemed to like being up there before,” he
muttered “I’m just being gracious.”
“That is a very, very bad lie.” Raziel answered and
brushed over his father’s nipples carefully with his long clawed fingers, teasing
the sensitive nubs lightly. Raziel grinned loving the way Kain’s chest heaved
slightly from the onslaught. He had noticed his father seemed much more
sensitive and susceptible to his touch now than before, his skin was softer,
smoother less armoured; Raziel was really starting to enjoy his father’s less
evolved form, it lacked the strength and dominion but it was in some ways much
more fun. The thinner skin much more sensitive, as was shown when the tiny
hairs on Kain’s arm’s stood to attention as Raziel ran his hand’s down over his
father’s skin.
Shuddering slightly as he felt the strong, slim
fingers gliding over his chest, Kain’s breath caught in his throat when claws
traced delicately over the over sensitised scar tissue running down into his abdomen,
he felt the muscles in his stomach jump at the touch and spasm weakly, he groaned
and reached up to kiss his childe again. His hands roaming over his childe’s
slender back, caressing every inch of the perfect scar-free skin, he paused
suddenly as he ran over raised flesh, it wasn’t scar-free; his shoulder blades
had two identical scars, thin lines running part way down his back. Wing scars,
fate had given him wing scars; absently his fingers ran over them making Raziel
shiver pleasantly and at the sensation before leaning forwards and kissing his
father deeply, his right hand clenching a fist full of white hair while his left
ran down the outside of the other vampire’s bare thigh. Kain smiled against his
child’s mouth and pulled back nipping harder at Raziel’s throat before running
his tongue along it, he loved the taste of his childes skin almost as much as
his blood. Moving to try and sit up when a sudden forceful pressure pushed him
back and Kain allowed himself to fall backwards and gave himself up to the
sudden onslaught his child’s mouth was performing.
Tiny bites that barely broke the skin were now
being littered across his chest, the droplets being lapped from his skin with a
slow urgency, Kain heard himself purr as his child moved lower, clawed hand
burring itself in his childe’s hair gently urging him on, but Raziel stopped.
Confused Kain looked up, Raziel grinned suddenly a decidedly wicked expression
that both confused his father and made his blood burn, he opened his mouth but
now words came out before his child went back down and bit forcefully, right
where his scar touched his abdomen. Raziel was almost thrown as his father arched
suddenly, his body responding violently to the newest pleasure. His hands
grasped at Raziel’s hair and he moaned harshly. Raziel felt himself tighten at
the sound as he suckled at the bite until he was literally dragged up into
another kiss. He began to instinctively undulate, his body crying out for
anything real, some real action, release, anything other than the teasing
touches they had shared. Still heaving for breath Kain lapped and sucked at the
side of his child’s slim neck leaving a healthy bruise while his right hand was
travelling down to between Raziel 's thighs, his fingers rubbing gently at the
tiny opening.
Raziel gasped as he felt the fingers tracing his
entrance, he moaned as his hips shifted against the digits of their own will, a
hand absently reaching for the nightstand and a little vile which was pushed
into Kain’s free hand. Kain grinned and continued to devour his child’s throat;
pausing his fingers in their ministrations to apply oil before returning.
Turning he possessed the gasping mouth and plundered it without mercy; while
his clawed fingers continued their agonizing caress before slipping inside and
working their way up, he knew exactly where to go and he found the little
protrusion quickly and gently attacked it. Raziel froze for a moment then cried
out, tears coming to his eyes; he’d enjoyed the past three weeks immensely, it
had been wonderful relearning exactly what made his father moan how much more
sensitive he was, more egger. But it was heavenly to have his father remember
not only him but everything about him too, Kain touched him as if he had done
it a hundred times before which -Raziel smirked- he had, he knew exactly where
to go, exactly just
how to tease the spot, giving stimulation and taking it away tormenting his
child. Raziel buried his face against his fathers shoulder
and began to moan and started to grind against the hand, trying to get it
deeper.
Inserting a third finger, Kain worked all three in
and out of his child, purring at the sounds Raziel made. Raziel cried out into
his father’s shoulder as a third finger stretched him inside, he turned and
claimed his father’s mouth again with brutal force, his body crying out; claws
scrapping over the nicely defined chest, enjoying the feel of the muscles
jumping underneath his touch and the gasp as once more he ran down the scar.
"Deeper." He demanded quietly drawing
back a little,
Smirking Kain took a moment to coat his aching
erection in oil and then sat back up, bringing Raziel with him. Raziel knelt
and lifted himself, feeling his father’s hands on his hips take his weight and
slowly ease him down onto him. When Kain breached the ring of muscle, Raziel
moaned and let his head fall forwards, lapping at the translucent skin on his father’s
throat, just above his pulse; slowly digging his claws into his father’s
shoulders enough to break the skin then dragging them down across his back,
drawing blood, as the rapturous sensations shot through his entire body. Deeper
and deeper Kain pressed, slowly almost tenderly but his control broke when
Raziel sunk fang into his shoulder and he finished with a sharp arch of his
hips. He stilled and waited for a few minutes in an attempt to get back his
control of himself as his childe supped from his veins. Raziel was beginning to
shift against him trying to get him to move, blood sweat broke out between them
and Kain gave a terribly slow thrust.
“Deeper,” Raziel moaned again, the slow thrust made
his body scream.
Kain growled harshly and rolled over, putting Raziel
beneath him, making his child purr as he was pinned under his weight. Kain’s arms
going under his back to hold him steady as he gave another painfully slow
thrust. Kain smirked and shifted giving another thrust slightly harder as his
control began shaking, then moving again he gave another and hearing the almost
sobbed cry he smiled and began to move in earnest. Raziel cried out wrapping his legs around Kain’s
waist and began to meet his father’s pounding hips. Each thrust was hitting against
his prostrate, sending lightening jolts of pleasure up his spine and through
his nervous system. His legs were trembling and his hands fisted one into the
sheets the other still cutting into his father’s shoulder. Raziel all but
screamed when a hand wrapped around his neglected organ and his father’s mouth
moved up to the side of his throat and opened, revealing his fangs. Gently,
those sharp points scraped over the flesh enticingly, teasing both vampires
until Raziel’s hand pressed at the back of his father’s head pressing him down.
“Finish,” he breathed, the feel of Kain’s hand once
again moving over him as he was being thrust into so deliciously put him
dangerously close to orgasm. Biting down, Kain crushed his child to him and
groaned loudly while he fed both his lusts. Feeling his father bite down sent
Raziel flying over the edge and into oblivion screeching as his seed flooded
between them and he tightened deliciously dragging Kain over with him.
The little spasms were back Raziel noticed as he
continued to shudder in the aftermath, still holding Kain’s head to his throat.
The only sound in his ears his own heavy breathing and his father’s pounding
heart. Each thump of Kain’s heart echoed through Raziel making him smile, no
one could get Kain’s blood pumping like he could, it was a talent he was most
proud of.
“Raziel,” Kain spoke against his child’s throat after
a moment “I can’t breathe,” Raziel smiled and let his father pull back slightly
and resting his head on his child’s chest, remaining inside him.
“You
were quieter,” Raziel breathed, running fingers through damp ashen hair, Kain
frowned
“That’s
a bad thing?” he asked, Raziel paused and thought about it for a moment before
speaking
“Yes
actually it is,” he answered, “I liked it when you made a racket, it was . . .
fun,” Kain looked at him blankly for a minuet before he shrugged and leaned
down, nipping at his child’s shoulder groaning loudly, Raziel laughed and tried
to push him away, but Kain pressed forwards harder, rolling his hips stirring
at Raziel’s insides, sending little jolts of exhausted pleasure through him.
“no stop,” Raziel actually laughed out loud “plea AH holy hell!” Kain smirked
against him and bit hard into his shoulder over the now fading bruise groaning
very loudly, louder than Raziel thought to be physically possible. They were
going to hear him downstairs at this rate.
A
sudden loud knock made them both look up.
“You
can stop what ever your doing and get down here now,” Vorador’s voice sounded
through the door, Raziel went beet red, Kain just smirked wider, “you were
supposed to be sleeping!” Vorador grumbled as his footsteps disappeared down
the hall and Raziel turned and punched his father on the shoulder.
“Why
did you go and do that!” he snapped
“You’re
never happy,” Kain muttered leaning back admiring the marks he’d left on
Raziel’s shoulder before separating them and rolling off the bed and looking
about for his clothes.

Arial
was sitting in one of the sitting rooms in the east wing waiting as they came
down, Kain absently trying to fix Raziel’s collar while Raziel was trying not
to let him. They paused outside of the doorway while Raziel tried to escape and
Kain trying to keep him still.
“Your
acting like Vorador,” Raziel snapped “it doesn’t matter what I look like,”
“It
does to me,” Kain muttered leaning forwards and closing his mouth over his
child’s suddenly, Raziel purred and leaned forward against his father only to
be pressed back with a thump against the wall as Kain pressed into him hard. A
groaned sound of mild pain sounded in his throat but died hen Kain pressed up
against him hard; the fledgling felt his bones turn to jelly. Kain’s un-evolved
form was definitely in Raziel’s good books as youth’s unbelievable stamina made
itself very known.
“Eh
hem,” the voice went unnoticed by either of the vampires who were by now lost
to the world, Raziel growled and a hand disappeared between them, Kain suddenly
groaned “EXCUSE ME,” both vampires looked up “before you consummate this on the
wall would you spare us a few moments to save the world.” Arial smiled sweetly
and disappeared back inside the sitting room. Raziel blushed mortified and
looked at Kain who seemed to be thinking this over. After a moment Kain shrugged
and dragged his child into the room.
After
a few minuets of embarrassed silence and staring at the floor from Raziel and
‘I’ve just had sex’ grinning from his father Arial spoke
“We
haven’t had a balance guardian since you died,” Arial said still smiling and
sniggering quietly, Kain smirked at her and was looking far to content for
Raziel’s liking. “I . . . well I took it upon myself to ‘fill in’ for you until
another guardian was called,”
“Thank
you,” Kain nodded “but if you wouldn’t mind elaborating on you presence here at
this time Ariel. Why come here in the middle of the night to tell me you filled
in for me.”
“Well,”
Ariel began but her sniggering stopped her “I’m sorry I can’t . . .”
“What
is so amusing?” Vorador demanded, obviously he knew why Ariel was here and
didn’t see the place for amusement. Kain looked at him and said nothing; it
took three seconds for it to don on the emerald vampire what had happened.
“For
crying out loud,” Vorador sighed “don’t you have any self control?”
“Lots,”
Kain spoke still smirking, Raziel was about to wipe that smirk of his face,
“just not when it come to him.” Raziel glared at his father, he didn’t
understand why this was so amusing, he was bloody mortified, having Arial walk
in on them, it was like having your mother walk in on you, Arial turned and
smiled wider at Raziel’s embarrassment.
“Raziel,
its alright,” she sighed, the reaver spirit glared “I lived with you two for a
millennium, I’ve seen a lot more than that,” Raziel froze for a moment as he
took on board exactly what Ariel had just said. Before his brain fizzled once
and gave up working completely.
Ariel
had been bound to the pillars, Kain’s. Throne. Room. Raziel felt faint and half
wished for the elder god to reach up from death and wrap a slimy tentacle
around him and pull him back to the spectral realm, Ariel had been in Kain’s
throne room! She really had seen more than a bit of enthusiastic grouping.
“Can
you . . . excuse me for a moment,” he said standing and leaving without waiting
for an answer. The moment he closed the door he could hear his father
sniggering quietly along with Arial and Vorador.
“Come
now,” Kain spoke after a moment “I want to go and make him feel . . . less
embarrassed so could we please continue.”
“Well
what was I supposed to do when a young girl knocks on my door at half past two
in the morning wanting to know about imbalances, other than drag out my big
book of records?”
“You
kept a record!” Kain’s smile stopped being satisfied and went to excited
“What
