Judging by the cheers and war cries, victory was at hand.
...and not by the Shokan.
Such a pity. Kotal would have fair better had he not have such a grudge against Shao Kahn. What would happen of the Shokan now? Excitintion. Forced into hiding. What a terrible fate for the mighty proud warriors.
Yet a part of her wished she could have seen the final blow to the Prince she once adored.
Kalypso whipped the blood off her chin with the back of her hand, turning only when she felt another presence behind her. To her surprise it was the dragon-taur. Instantly, she noticed his posture. Wise but it made her cautious. Part of her eyes drifted to the man, Kano beside the portal while still entirely focused on the dragon-taur.
Sure, he may thought he was doing the right thing but it felt more like a slap in the face. "You think I need protectection?" She grinned slyly. Her mouth has yet to fully return normal. Most of the sides had connected back in place, blended in with flesh. It was only around her lips that have yet to mesh with flesh. "Cute. You should be more focus on yourself, dragon-boy." With a small wink, she disperse in a flash of lightening.
Like the thunder god Raiden.

But she was no god nor a finished product like Mileena. Teleporting like that took an insanely amount of energy from her. It was a risky move. It would be the first time she uses it since waking up. Kalypso would fall from the air and collapse back down into the near by lake. Where she'd be the safest and allow her time to recharge. The water did far more good to her in this state than the lava did. That was because her electric abilities came from a sea goddess. Or a descent? She had trouble remembering. Not that it mattered anymore.
Releasing that much needed energy, while exhausting as it is, released some of the pressure that had been building inside of her. Closing her eyes, she fell to the bottom of the deep lake and went into a temporarily slumber.
Her mind replaying what the dragon-taur offered.

It would be days before Kalypso would return to the surface. She had much to think about. It gave her a headache knowing that all what has changed. What was still changing. It was hard to keep up.
The battle long since cleared, Kalypso decided to investigate what this Black Dragon's Fraction is.
And more importantly, if it was worth reaching out to. She was still lost amongst the strangeness of all the realms. If she wanted to keep living, it was best to be updated. It wasn't like she had much connections anyways.
Or maybe she did.
Something in her gut told her time wasn't on her side. Not with Kotal as Kahn now. Everything was changing and she needed to do something now.
Perhaps she been too hasty to make a decision. But she had no desire in picking a side without knowing what she was getting herself involved with. Only blind idiots would follow blind orders.

The investigation of the Black Dragon was a challenge but one she enjoyed. The organization would prove to benefit her. Getting to Earthrealm had been easy. She still had her ways of getting there and the old places she used to hide out. It would seem they had been undiscovered.
She loved Earthrealm.
The waters there were fresher, cooler and better. The female may have gotten distracted and spent days swimming in the ocean before remembering why she was there!
It would take one poor tortured soul to tell her the location of the Black Dragon current location. Then made her way there.

Just passed sunset, she snuck onto the base. The smell of alcohol, piss and blood filled the air. Along with many other things, like smoking meat. Obnoxious music played with a loud bass that caused her to strain her hearing in order to focus better. People were loud, laughing and cheering. With other shameless carnal pleasures going on.
She snuck on the base, staying in the shadows or blending in when needed to. It was simplier easier for the most part to climb up above. Most humans don't pay attention above them.
She made her way through the venaltion center, quiet as a mouse, she'd make her to the top floor. All the while she was looking for that dragon-taur.
Where would something that big hide in a place like this?
