Wesker kicked in the door to another cabin, whistling cheerfully. The whole operation was pathetically easy. No new monsters to play. No semi-intelligent people to threaten. It was almost boring.
Almost.
In another hour things would get much more interesting. That was when Umbrella’s latest batch of goodies wue tue to be shipped in.
“Oh God!” someone moaned pitifully. Moaned, not groaned so that someone wasn’t simplified quite yet. Wesker finally spotted them hiding in the far corner. Under a desk of all places.
“Are you here to help? I didn’t think the communications system still worked.” The foolish man crawled out of his corner.
Of course they don’t work. I dealt with them this morning. Not enough time had passed for someone to be able to repair what he had done.
“The experiments, they got out somehow.”
“So I noticed.”
“It had to be sabotage. Even the level 13 ones escaped.” Level 13? There had been nothing about a level 13 in the information he had received. Wesker was aware of the twelve other levels of laboratories and holding pens beneath the ground.
Level 13? Next time I see Trent, I think I’m going to shoot him. Wesker was not the kind of person to give bad information to. Unpleasant things happened.
“I think Jack’s still in his cage. The whole things on another system. God I hope he’s still in his cage.”
“Jack?” The man finally looked at him, really looked at him, for the first time. Wesker waited, watching as his eyes widened. It was comical really.
“You’re notS!”
