Notes: I know Sheik has blond
hair but he’s special in this and he has Silver hair—so deal with it! Actually,
I have a really good explanation to why he has silver hair—later chapters
though. ^_^ Okay, I had to divide this chapter into three parts because it was
too long and I still had a lot to go… so technically I’m still in bounds. I’m
not cheating! Really! I know this part sucks. Plain and simple, I don’t like
it, I was really out of it, I’ve had a lot on my mind and I’m trying to finish
it so I can get working on my other stories that have been left for dead for
the past month… so bare with me… everyone has liked it so far and I’d hate to
ruin that feeling now.
Notes 2: ALSO!!!! DON’T BORE ME WITH USELESS,
POINTLESS, BULL SHIT FLAMES TELLING ME “Sheik isn’t real.”!!!! I. KNOW. THIS IS CALLED FANFICTION FOR A REASON!!!!!!

~Part 9:
Shattered Dreams~
Ganondorf roared with all his pent up rage and spun around, slamming
his giant fist into the wall, breaking the wall into many small pieces and left
them to fall to the ground. Sheik cringed and shrunk back, watching in fear as
Ganon let loose his rage upon the poor wall and anything else nearby. Sheik hid
his face behind his bruised arms, peaking over them at Ganon, hoping the
psychotic monster wouldn’t decide to take his anger out on the poor boy
anymore. Sheik whimpered when Ganon yelled again and started to curse Link and
something—or rather, someone else Sheik didn’t know about.
“Gods DAMN that retched boy!!! That little bastard! I’ll kill him! I’ll
kill that little son of a bitch at the first step he takes into this room!!!
Damn it—GOD. DAMN. IT!!!!” Sheik cowered back against the wall where Ganon had
thrown and left him since the evil man before him tore his only protection from
his weak and delicate body. Sheik couldn’t believe the rage radiating from the evil king, he was
fearful for himself, but now that he knew Link was alive and well, fearful for
the precious boy as well. ‘Oh god, Link… don’t come here. Please, please don’t
come closer, Ganon will kill you! Please, please! You are alive, that is enough
for me… God, Link……’ Sheik begged for Link not to come, he used all his will
power that he had left to try and make Link feel the anger Ganon showed and make the boy understand not to go
further, but Sheik knew—he knew Link wouldn’t feel his message and the
unknowing boy would continue on to his terrible fate. Then Ganon began to yell
at Link again, causing Sheik to shake from the fear Ganon radiated off of him.
“You bastard!!! Who is that with you—who is it that saved you from my
Shadow demon?! Damn it! How do you always manage to evade me!? You will regret
fighting back, you will! I’ll make you suffer through such a painful and horrid
death that not even the strongest could think
of how you died!!! I’ll kill you and that damn protector of yours!! I’LL KILL
YOU ALL… AHHHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!”
Ganon's voice echoed throughout the great halls of his ‘throne room’ and down
the long corridors of the Underworld’s kingdom, sending chills down every
creature’s back that lived there, below.

The mysterious masked creature
had to stop abruptly when Link stopped dead in his tracks and coupled over,
falling to his knees and grabbing hold of his head, crying out in pain. The
masked creature flew to Link’s side and held onto the pain-stricken boy with
concern for Link’s sudden outburst. Link moaned and swayed back and forth a
bit, unable to control the surge of emotions coursing through his body and…
soul. Link realized the burst of emotions were because of Sheik—he knew they
were from the imprisoned boy; this is how all of Link’s ‘attacks’ happened and
in the end, he always felt the strong impression of Sheik’s emotions and soul
in the place of the suddenly dissolving pain. As the pain slowly subsided, Link
was left with the usual loss of breath and he managed to gasp his love’s name
through the pain he felt.
“Sheik… oh…… I’m coming—I’m
coming… Sheik.” The masked creature turned its ‘face’ towards Link and acted as
though it was stunned for a moment, it did not understand Link’s implications
or actions. Link’s breathing soon calmed again and he looked up at his masked
companion for a moment, then a small smile slowly appeared on his delicate pink
lips and the masked creature leaned back sharply, very confused by Link’s
smile—what a difference! Link’s mysterious companion sat there for a moment
then he hesitantly lifted Link up to his feet and let Link clean himself off.
The masked creature turned away from Link, as if embarrassed by the smile it had
been graced with. After Link was finished dusting himself off from all that
horrid red dirt, he turned towards the masked creature and tapped it on the
shoulder; the creature spun around and turned as if to look at Link and it just
stood there as still as it possibly could; Link smiled wryly at the creature’s
surprizable nature and he spoke in a very soft voice, as if to sooth the masked
creature’s nerves,
“Please… don’t be so frightened
of me. I—you saved my life… you do not need to be so… formal with me… I would
like it if you could… ease up a little… I trust you…… trust me?” The masked
creature stood there for a moment contemplating what Link had just asked it
then it slowly nodded its head and stepped closer to Link. This earned a rare
smile from Link and the creature seemed to calm considerably. In their
companionable silence, they walked off together through one of the many long
and treacherous tunnels that hopefully lead to Sheik and their way home.

Sheik watched silently as Ganondorf spoke in a very uncivilized manner
to a scrawny devious little creature, which seemed to be just as uncivilized—if
not more, as Ganondorf.
“I want you to find that damned boy and bring him to me immediately! I’m
sick of waiting and I’m sick of watching everything else fail in my place! I will take care of him personally so I
do not have to wait for anymore incompetence to fail me! Now go, and make sure
he is to arrive here swiftly and without knowledge of you or any
other—understand!?” The grimy little slug of a gnome bent down lower than his
back was already hunched and in a raspy and gruff voice he wheezed,
“Yesssss, massssterrrrr. I willlll do assss you sssssay…” The creature
straitened up to its fullest height and slunk away into the shadows of the
Underworld’s caves and burrows, mumbling nonsense to itself along the way.
Sheik furrowed his eyebrows and watched in dismay as the crazy gnome
disappeared out of his sight, but that was soon covered by the enormous figure
of his master and tormentor, Ganondorf. Sheik cringed and looked up, wide-eyed
and frightened beyond imagination at the beast towering above him. Ganon smiled
wickedly down at him and in a very cruel monotone he revealed,
“My precious little Sheikah, now
you will see your irritating lover as he gets crushed between my fingers like a
toothpick! I’ll break every bone in his body and rip his arms and legs off, and
then I’ll throw him to my lions—ALIVE!!!” Sheik cringed back as Ganon yelled
the last word in his face, then Ganondorf carried Sheik over to the middle of
the ‘throne room’ and unceremoniously threw the poor boy to the floor again,
walking away as if Sheik were just another common piece of trash. Sheik cringed
as the soreness of his ragged body caught up with him from being thrown to the
hard blood-covered floor; he looked up wearily as Ganon strode away, chuckling
quietly to himself, and then he disappeared into the shadows as he always did
when he left Sheik to lay there—alone and in pain, waiting for his tormentor to
come back again. Sheik struggled to push his weak body up but his arms hurt so
damn much and his elbows were sore from constantly being scraped and hit on
something so he just settled for dropping back down onto his side with a heavy
and painful sigh. He felt like he could die, but at this point he was so tired
and far-gone that he was too dead to
die, almost like being so tired you can’t sleep, and Sheik felt that way right
then… He just wished he could see Link one last time and be put out of his
misery.
Sheik began to mumble incoherently
and out of his misery he began to cry his silent tears—unknowingly to himself
as he continued to talk to nothing in the lonely darkness,
“I want to be back in… Kakariko
village. I want to… I want to be able to run through the endless fields of
Hyrule…… I—I want to… see Link… I wan to hear his voice, run my fingers through
his silky hair… touch his soft cheeks……Link, Link… I miss you Link—come back to
me… come back to me Link, I need you, I want you… Link… Link, Link……” Sheik
didn’t even realize he was speaking until he heard himself say Links name and
he stared around for a moment hoping nobody heard his delirious
words—especially Ganondorf… Sheik swallowed hard and hid his face in his arms
and cried himself into a fitful and not so peaceful slumber… waiting—hoping for
Link to come… ‘When will you come…?’

‘When will you come…?’ Link felt it again, the beautifully pained
voice of his lover, calling to him. It was getting harder to ignore the sad
pleas; Link felt even more rushed and stressed every time Sheik called to
him—how could he make this pain stop? It hurt even worse to hear—feel Sheik’s pain than it did to
actually experience the real thing. Link huffed and frowned at the thought of
what Sheik was possibly going through… how much longer until they got to him?
The mysterious masked creature
stopped and turned back to face Link when he sighed, unfortunately Link didn’t
see his companion stop and he ran right into the creature. Link stumbled back
and stared at the masked creature for a moment, surprised. Link blushed and
looked back down, he was so clumsy…
“I-I’m sorry… I wasn’t watching
were I was going…… I didn’t mean to run into you… I’m sorry.” The masked
creature stood there for a moment then it gently laid its right hand on Links
left shoulder; Link looked up at his mysterious companion, startled. The masked
creature nodded and Link smiled wryly, still a little embarrassed for running
into his mysterious masked friend. The said creature turned back around and was
about to start off again when Link decided to ask it where they were.
“Wait...!” The creature stopped
and turned to face Link again; Link struggled for a moment on whether he should
even ask or not—he wasn’t even sure if he would get an answer out of the masked
being, but he continu1ed anyway, “Uhm… do you know where we are? I want to know
when we’ll get to Sheik—he needs me, he is in great danger… we must hurry…” The
creature merely ‘stared’ at him making Link very nervous all of a sudden. Link
bit his bottom lip and began to fidget nervously, when suddenly, the creature
tuned back around and pointed towards the direction which they were facing.
Link looked up and watched as the masked creature pointed down towards the end
of the tunnel then it knelt down gracefully and put one of its long, elegant
fingers to the bodied dirt and began to draw….
Link furrowed his brow and
leaned over the mysterious masked creature, watching it as it slowly
illustrated their way through and out of the tunnel to their desired
destination. Link raised his eyebrows and watched in curiosity as his
mysterious companion continued to create a detailed map of the many tunnels and
underground caverns that made up the Underworld; the map slowly took on a more
shapely look to the rooms and tunnels that wove throughout the Underworld—much
like the one they were in at this moment. After the masked creature had
finished drawing the ‘map’ it moved its finger back to the bottom of the
design, where Link and itself obviously were at in likes to reality, Link
thought absentmindedly. Then the masked creature turned and pointed to Link
then to itself, then back to the ground where their current point was at, ‘I
was right…’ Link mused to himself. Then his mysterious companion slowly glided
its finger in a long line, curving in and out of various rooms and strait
through more tunnels until it finally stopped in one large room and the
creature made the symbol of the ‘Spirit Eye’ that always adorned Sheik’s
clothing and this masked creature’s clothes as well, right on the spot where it
stopped.
‘That has to be were Sheik is…’
Link thought to himself once more. The masked creature turned back to Link and
‘stared’ as if waiting for Link to understand, Link tore his eyes away from the
crude map his mysterious companion made and stared at the said creature for a
moment then nodded and said ‘matter of factly’,
“That’s were Sheik is, huh?” The
creature nodded its approval and Link smiled sadly, but he was glad he at least
knew now where they were going. The masked creature stood up gracefully and
began to walk down the tunnel again, Link started to jump off after it but
stopped abruptly and quickly looked back at the ‘dirt map’ his strange
companion had made for him; when he had memorized the outline of it well enough
he turned and hurried after the masked creature, not wanting to get lost in
this awful place again.

Not too far away, hidden beneath
the shroud of darkness that naturally consumes any creature that has lived in
the Underworld for too long, a pair of beady, yellow eyes glowed in the
darkness consuming it as the ‘Hero of Time’ and his companion headed off in the
direction facing its Master’s lair. A low, gravely chuckle accompanied the
swiftly moving eyes as they followed the unsuspecting ‘Hero of Time’ and masked
creature through the many tunnels and lonely rooms of the Underworld. This
time, Ganondorf would win…

“HAHAHAHAAAAAA!! He is coming! Ahhhhhhh… he is so close I can feel it!
I can just see it now, his big blue eyes filling with tears as I tear his
disgusting green tunic from that damn gorgeous body of his and he cries for his
precious Sheik to help him as I ravish his sickeningly perfect body and make it
my own!! HA HA! This is perfect—perfect!”
Sheik stared at Ganon, horrified as the evil brute told of his plans in such a
mocking voice it made Sheik sick to his stomach. Ganon turned a sadistic sneer
towards Sheik which made the boy shrink back from the vicious gleam in his eye;
Sheik began to shake against his will and he couldn’t help but whimper at the
terrifying look in his tormentor’s eye. Ganon slowly stalked towards Sheik,
grinning at the terrified boy; when he reached the frightened Sheikah, he
leaned down and gripped Sheik’s right arm in a vice-like embrace and lifted the
poor boy off the ground, causing the said creature to cry out in pain. Ganon's
grin widened more as he spoke quietly and demandingly towards the broken
Sheikah.
“He’s almost here… can’t you feel his presence—that strong,
overpowering sense of justice that burns within him—it makes me want to puke!”
Ganon's rage swelled up within him so quickly it left Sheik completely stunned
when he was thrown back to the hard ground again, only much more forcefully
this time and he knew something was definitely broken after that—he heard it. Sheik moaned and whimpered
from the pain of his now broken shoulder and he rolled to his other side, but
it was difficult when he was trying to keep himself covered from Ganon's view.
Ganon snorted at Sheik’s pathetic attempts at trying to hide his body when he
was completely naked and he only had one arm to protect himself now. The foul
man turned away and stalked over to his ‘throne’ and threw his large body into
it unceremoniously, heaving a great sigh and he leaned back against the giant
chair and…waited.
Sheik stared at Ganondorf in terror—Link was coming and Ganon was going
to kill him, what could he do?! Now Sheik couldn’t even move—his shoulder hurt
so badly; it felt as though the blow stunned his nerves and left him
temporarily paralyzed, how could he even think of helping Link now when he
couldn’t even move his head to look around? Then he felt it… that presence…
that familiar force…… Link.
Link was there already—Link had walked right into the cleverest and
most wicked trap ever, along with his last… Link was only right outside those
large doors that lead into the room Sheik and Ganondorf currently occupied, and
he was completely oblivious to the fact that it was to lead to his undoing.
Sheik whimpered and looked back at Ganon who was staring right back at Sheik
with a wide, knowing grin and the last thing Sheik heard Ganon say before everything
went dark was,
“He. Is. Mine…” And with a flick of his wrist Sheik was gone. He had
just… disappeared! Ganon smiled calmly and with another swish from his hand
towards the other side of the room, the two large doors flung open to reveal a
very stunned, Hero of Time…
