Vacation in Altamira
#1
Seaside Rendezvous
A/N: This will be my first Symphonia fic. The story is a little AU because this never happened in the game, and Lloyd is broody here. Still, I was pleased with it, and I hope you are too. More romancy than I usually write though… Anyway, here is the first part(praying not the last, you never know with writers block) of my Vacation in Altamira series! By the bye, Tales of Symphonia isn't mine. Though I wished to God that I owned Colette, Presea, Raine, and Sheena. Shake me all night long!:)
*There is a reference to the next part, a Genis/Presea bit.
With the coming of night, the face of Altamira changed. Gone were the beach freaks and the amusement park thrill seekers, only the adults roamed the grounds after dark. The casino was open, and corny music wafted through the doors. The Katz were performing their nonsensical play, and the drunks staggered from the pub under the walk. Laughing and the gentle sound of the surf were all any could hear.
Lloyd Irving walked the beach, organizing his thoughts. Since they had banded with the Renegades, things had been hurling themselves at he and his friends. He sat in a deserted beach chair and stared out to sea. There was a footstep behind him, the faint crunch of a foot upon sand. Like lightning he was on his feet, reaching for double blades that weren’t there. He stopped when he saw the familiar smiling face of Colette Brunel, clad in a simple red dress. Lloyd dropped his hands, sighing in relief.
"Jeez Colette, you scared me!" he said gently.
"Sorry Lloyd," she said sheepishly, rubbing the back of her head.
"Ah, don’t worry about it. Have a seat," he said, beckoning to another chair next to his.
She sat, as did he. For a while they sat in silence listening to the waves brush against the sand of the beach. Finally, Lloyd turned to her.
"Say Colette, what brings you out here?" he asked her.
She looked embarrassed.
"Well Lloyd, the others were out having fun. Even Regal looked like he was enjoying himself. So when I didn’t see you, I got worried."
He smiled. Colette cared so much.
"Thanks Colette," he looked out to sea, "I was just thinking about we’ve gotten ourselves into. Its become more than regenerating the world, and even more than reuniting the worlds. This is about defeating the most powerful warrior in history and defeating every angel in Cruxis. That’s a pretty big job. And we’re on our own."
"That may be Lloyd, but we still have each other. If we help each other, we can overcome anything!"
He looked over at her.
"You really think so Colette?" he asked softly.
"Of course! With you around, I believe that there is nothing we can’t do. You, Lloyd, are the sole reason we’ve come this far."
He sighed and lay back in the chair. Colette lay back too. They stared up into the clear sky.
"Colette, I have to be honest with you," he said suddenly.
"About what Lloyd?" she asked, startled.
"Well, the only reason I keep going is for your sake alone. I’ve tried to think that I’m fixing the world, that I’m undoing a great wrong, but they sound hollow. The only reason that sounds honest is that you are the reason I keep going. Not for the world, the people, Genis, the Professor, Zelos, Presea, Regal, Sheena, Kratos, the Renegades, or me. Only for you Colette," he said slowly, looking away.
She was silent for a moment, struggling to comprehend what he had said. He was doing all this for her? All they had done, everything that they had overcome, all of it was for her sake? She was speechless. Lloyd glanced at her.
"I can understand if you think less of me Colette. I mean, I am doing all this for one person, while countless others need this too."
She shook her head, blonde tresses flying.
"No Lloyd, I don’t think less of you. I’m just surprised at what you would do for me. I just don’t understand why," she said.
He looked straight at her this time, a gaze so powerful her breath caught in her chest.
"Colette, you really don’t know why I’d do this for you?" he said softly.
She shook her head slightly, her eyes never leaving his. She guessed what was coming, and strangely hoped it was true.
"I love you Colette. Ever since we first set out, I loved you. When you left without me, I was terrified beyond reason that I would never see you again. And when I found out you couldn’t feel things anymore, I was devastated, half wanting to call of the quest so you could get better, or only not get worse."
Colette was taken aback by this revelation and stared at him blankly, her mouth moving, but no words emerged. Suddenly, her mind caught up.
"Lloyd, I…love you too."
"What?" Lloyd said incredulously.
Colette blushed furiously.
"Ever since the Martel Temple, I’ve thought about you constantly. You looked after others first, always giving yourself selflessly for others. Lloyd, that’s not because of me, that’s who you are."
"Colette…" Lloyd said, rising.
"No Lloyd, that’s the truth. You are a caring person, and… I love you for it."
She looked at him, a warm glow in her eyes. Lloyd leaned in, his hand gently caressing her cheek. Colette closed her eyes, leaning into his hand. Gently, he lifted her chin. Her eyes opened to see his own warm eyes looking back at her. They were only inches apart.
Time stopped as Lloyd kissed her. Colette’s arms curled around him, holding him close, never wanting to let him go. Slowly, the kiss deepened, becoming more and more passionate. Colette fumbled at his belt. Lloyd broke the kiss.
"Colette, are you sure?" he asked her gently.
She nodded, and undid his belt. His hands stopped her as they lifted her dress up and over her head. Moonlight bathed her scantily clad body, as she undid his nobleman’s suit. (This is related to a title you get in the game) The white garments fell to the sand.
Only thin pieces of cloth separated them what they desired most. Lloyd reached behind her, trying to unclasp her bra. Colette giggled at his fumbling, and laid a hand on his arm.
"Let me," she said.
She unhooked the garment and cast it aside. Her fingers tucked into her waistband and tugged her panties down. The full moon of Tethe’alla showed her curves clearly in the night. Slightly rounded at the breast, a little more at the hip. Lloyd drank in the sight of her.
His own hands yanked at the waistband of his underwear and he hurriedly stepped out of them. They came together, almost magnetically. Their mouths met hungrily, trying to drink as much of each other as possible. Hands roamed bare skin, eliciting more than one delighted shudder from both of them.
Colette broke the kiss, lying back against the sand. She opened her arms invitingly. Lloyd lay on top of her, kissing her gently as he spread her legs. Colette nodded, and felt him press into her. No words could describe the pleasure she felt, lying there on the beach. Slowly, Lloyd pushed into her, his mind awash with feelings of pleasure, love, and pure happiness. He met with resistance, and he stopped, realizing the situation.
"Colette," he began.
Without a word, she thrusted herself back, breaking her hymen. She hissed, her nails digging into the flesh of Lloyd’s back. He kissed her, trying to distract her from the pain. It seemed to succeed as Colette’s mouth came alive with his kiss.
After a short time, she bucked her hips, impatient to continue. Lloyd gently thrusted into her. The soft sounds of their lovemaking were barely heard over the gentle surf. Colette gasped and groaned, her eyes closed in rapture, her very being aflame with the fires of passion. Lloyd felt the same, his slow, steady pace slowly but surely growing faster.
Flesh rubbed against flesh, hearts and souls fused into one, inseparable, bodies and minds working towards a single goal. Lloyd felt the end was close, an electric current growing in his loins. Valiantly he held back, his best efforts going to make Colette feel the ecstasy of release first.
Her breathing became heavy, her hips rose to meet his thrusts. Lips moved without utterance, her mind far gone in the moment. Quietly, as she always was, she released. Her moan and arch of her back told him that she had reached her peak. He let himself pound into her, finally reaching his own blessed ecstasy. They lay there, bodies entwined, for a long time.
The night grew old, and the moon was sinking, and they were still lying on the beach, holding each other close. Lloyd stirred, getting up off the sand.
"Colette, I really think we need to get back. The others are probably worried."
"Hmmm?" Colette asked sleepily.
Lloyd smiled gently.
"Never mind, let’s just get back to the hotel."
He dressed her and himself. He carried her in his arms, where she nestled happily. When he got to the hotel, the lobby was empty. Taking the elevator up to his floor, he stepped off to see Presea standing in her doorway. So was Genis. They were kissing. Lloyd smiled and hid himself and Colette, trying not to disturb them.
"Thank you Genis, for tonight," Presea said, a warm smile on her face.
"Presea…" Genis said, blushing a deep crimson.
They laughed, sharing one last kiss before they said goodnight and Genis went to the elevator. As the elevator slid out of sight and Presea’s door closed, Lloyd took Colette into his room. He lay her on his bed. Gazing on her sleeping form he smiled. She was his angel.
