Shared Vision
(Dante's
view)
Man he
needed to get drunk and laid but not necessarily in that order. He
had had a tough day of slaying the demons of the seven sins. Now he
was on his way to some backwater town to investigate something that
had fallen from the sky a few days ago and since then strange things
have been happening at night.
For
example the mutilated remains of local farm animals have been found
and just recently the body of a bear or what they assumed was a bear.
The chest cavity had either been punched through or something had
forced its way from inside the cavity. All it's organs had been
removed and scattered about the clearing as if the demon had gone
into a frenzy. The only organ missing was the heart. It's fur was
also gone which was odd cause none of the other mutilated beasts had
had their skins removed.
Another
thing that was odd was that the body also didn't have a head. It
looked like the demon that had done this simply swallowed the head
and gnawed on its neck. Apparently not even the hardened cops who
were used to demon attacks and there aftermaths, could not stomach
the sight that had met them in the clearing.
Dante
sighed again as his motorcycle sped down the empty highway. How he
hated long days like this one. Sometimes he wished that for once the fucking
world didn't need his god damn help every day. Fuck the way things were going he'ld probably die from exastiion. Yeah I bet Verg and all the others would laugh their asses off if that happened he could just iamgine. Hey did you hear? Dante's dead. Died from exhastion and to think he used to be feared. Ha ha ha ha haDante growled to himself in anger at the images that came to mind.
All of those images stoped to be replaced by a black void.
He got the sense that
someone was behind them. Usually that would put him on edge but for
some reason it didn't. He felt the person wrap their arms around him
and pulled him gently back against their firm chest. The phantom
person bent their head and warm breath fanned across his ear. He
shivered with suppressed desire. The phantom leaned even closer
and....
“BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP!”
Dante
snapped out of his strange vision in time to be blinded by the
headlights of an on coming eighteen wheeler. “Shit!”
Dante exclaimed as he jerked the his bike out of the way. The bike
swerved to the left and out of the way just in time. As the truck
sped by Dante's motorcycle swerved out of control before falling down
and sliding a bit through the dirt of the desert.
Dante
picked himself up and dusted off his red jacket. “What the hell
was that about?” Growling some more to himself Dante picked his
bike up and roared off into the night. All the while thinking about
that strange vision.
(Riddick's
view)
Riddick
scanned the environment around him. It had been a week since he had
crashed onto this planet and as far as he could tell there was no
sign of any life forms on it, well at least intelligent life. “Hmm.
I can get used to this.” The only sounds he could here were
those of the animals of the night on this planet. He turned his had
and caught sight of some four legged creature stalk another. The prey
lifted it's head and sniffed the wind.
He
watched as the prey stood rock still as the obvious predator stalked
closer. The prey suddenly took off in the opposite direction of its
stalker, zig zagging through the underbrush. The dog followed in hot
pursuit a howl ripping from its throat. Riddick turned his eyes back
on the horizon as the canine caught its prey and it let out its death
shriek.
It was
then that he noticed that in the distance he could see light's of a
small town in the distance. Shrugging his shoulders nonchalantly, he
walked down the small weather made path along the cliff. He had just
reached the bottom when he felt that he was no longer alone.
There
was someone in front of him and they had their back to him. With a
will of its own his body walked forward and wrapped his around the
phantom body. He leaned his head down and breathed on the persons
ear, making them shiver in desire. He was about to whisper something
in the persons ear when he was jolted from the vision when he head
the shrieking of two animals not far away from him.
He
whipped his in the direction he had heard the screaming. Something
big and fast was running in a clearing chasing a deer and its fawn.
The doe let out another shriek as the creature took a swipe at its
hunches. Suddenly a four pronged buck jumped out of the bushes and
rushed the thing but it's head was bitten off. While this strange
thing munched on the bucks head the doe and her fawn got away.
Roaring
in anger at the loss of the other part it's dinner, it ran off back
into the underbrush leaving the mutilated body behind. “What
was that?” Instead of investigating further Riddick chose to
walk away not wanting to get caught by what ever that thing was. At
least not without proper weapons. After all that thing didn't look
like a few knives would easily get rid of it. He again started
walking in the direction of the town.
