This is part of a series, though stands alone in its own right as a collection of tales. This entry will contain the stories of Caranwyn, Captain of Gondor.
Originally, this page held a short overview of some of Caranwyn's earlier backstory, however, since the chapters of her story have now covered those early years, there is no need for such an ineligant brief. Instead, this section will simply bear a short recount of her origins, and the rest is left to the story itself, which begins with chapter one, over the page.
As always, all comments and criticisms are not only welcome, but greatly desired; any comment or review will be greatly appreciated.

A Captain's Chronicle: In Defence of Middle Earth Placeholder: The History of Caranwyn.
Born of a Roheric mother and a father from Gondor, Caranwyn grew up in the streets of the White City, with her sister, Russellwen. Despite being twins, and sharing the same unruly red hair, brilliant green eyes, and deceptively slight build, there have always been enough subtle, minor differences betwen the girls that no friend would ever mistake one for the other, even before they open their mouths.
Their parents, while well intentioned, were both often very busy as well, and so from a very young age both girls usually found themselves working under one parent or another, alongside numerous other bodies in the same position. To begin with, one girl would be under the eye of their mother, while the other would be watched by their father, and day to day they would switch this role. Though this remained the intention, the reality was far more often the two working or learning side by side. From their mother, they learned care of wounds, treatment, healing, as well as efficient and nourishing food preparation techniques, while on the days with their father, they simply joined the other boys in weapon and defense training, preparing for the fighting that came to most young men of Gondor at some time. Despite the hectic living conditions, Caranwyn enjoyed her younger years, as being exciting and interesting, and though most of the time she was treated as any other student or recruit by her parents, she never felt unloved, for they would dote on both daughters in whatever free time they managed to spend together as a family.
This tale picks up when the girls are twelve, and covers the most important moments of their more formative years, before we reach the point where their true adventures began.
