----------------------------- "Do you really have to skulk around like that?" The blood elf's voice was haughty with an authoritative ring to it as she looked to her side at what would appear to be nothing. A female voice responded. "I don't see what difference it makes to you. It's not like I'm lagging behind," The voice seemed calmer, the accent undeterminable. The warlock sighed, rolling her kohl darkened eyes. "Fine. I suppose I'll just continue to look like an idiot talking to myself," The rogue snickered from the shadows as the pair walked towards the entrance to Timbermaw Hold. The weather was cold, even for Winterspring and the two made haste as the cave’s entrance came into view. Besides, if you hadn’t lost our mounts in that silly card game, we would have got here quicker,” Lukretia’s voice resonated from the shadows as she surveyed the entrance. “What made you think you could win against that goblin anyway?” Kalysto scowled back at her. “I was sure he was bluffing!” She said, rather indignantly. “I know that little gopher he had, slipped him the ace in the end.” She furrowed her brow, wrapping her arms around herself and walking into the Hold. Lukretia followed silently behind her, rolling her eyes. The Hold was almost instantly warmer as the pair made their way in. Though, it was surprisingly void of any Timbermaw. The rogue’s ears perked. The silence was deafening. The warlock didn’t seem to notice as she continued to walk through the corridor. “Hold on,” Lukretia’s voice rang out. Kalysto sighed heavily coming to a stop, her dark velvet robes rustling softly around her. “What is it now?” She huffed, clearly put out. “Don’t you notice anything… out of the ordinary here?” Lukretia remained stealthed as she surveyed the empty hall. “That it’s warmer in here than out there?” The warlock said mockingly. “No. This place is empty. Eerily empty,” the rogue responded. Kalysto paused and looked around. “You might have a point,” She reluctantly conceded. “Still, that can’t be a bad thing, right? I mean those creatures smell really foul.” She wrinkled her small nose and resumed her pace. Moonglade began to darken, unnoticeably, as the sun set on Kalimdor. A seemingly lone female draenei priestess began to make her way on the path to Timbermaw Hold. “I still don’t understand why you’re hiding,” She said aloud. A soft purr emanated from the shadows. “I thought I would try something new. That tree form makes me itchy,” The purr morphed into a smooth, velvety tone. The priestess chuckled. “Are you actually trained to do anything effective in that form?” She asked the druid as they approached the entrance to the Hold. A soft snicker was heard. “Are you kidding? I could barely catch a mouse like this. You know me, Eryss, I’ve never been one to physically exert myself too much. Though I could get used to these cat naps,” The feline stretched languidly as the priestess laughed in response. “We’re not far, Yulla,” She said as her eyes spied the entrance. “Had I known that talbuk was on its last legs, I would have brought another mount,” the draenei furrowed her brow. “It’s no bother, really,” replied the druid. She suddenly morphed from the shadows into her svelte Kaldorei form, as the two made their way in. Torches flickered from where they hung on the wall and Yulla frowned as she looked around. Eryss had also picked up on what seemed to be missing around them. They both paused. “Where are they?” The priestess enquired as her eyes scanned the area. Yulla shrugged. “This does seem rather odd. Maybe they’re congregated in some sort of meeting?” “Perhaps. Why don’t we venture further in to see?” The druid nodded in agreement as they continued to make their way through to the main hall. As the Sin’dorei warlock and rogue continued through the main hall, they noticed the tall forms coming towards them. Luk paused, still stealthed. Kalysto wrinkled her nose once more. “Who goes there?” she asked. Eryss and Yulla stopped as they came upon the diminutive blood elf. “Guess there is life in here after all,” The druid said. Kalysto eyed them both. “Alliance,” she almost hissed under her breath. Lukretia remained hidden, observing the scene. Eryss smiled at the Sin’dorei, extending a gracious hand. “I am Eryss, and this is my friend Yulla. Who might you be?” The warlock looked down at the priestesses extended hand, then back at her blankly. “I don’t really care who you are. We’re just passing through,” She dragged a few fingers through her long, fiery red locks as she looked down her nose at the draenei. “We?” Yulla replied as she looked around. A sigh was heard from the shadows. The druid peered to where the sound was coming from as she put her hand on her satchel. “Be careful, Eryss. This lot is known for their thievery,” Kalysto glared at the night elf. “Thievery? Shows how much you know,” she said arrogantly. Lukretia slowly materialized from the shadows. The rogue was slightly taller than her warlock companion, but her hair was deep ebony. Her lithe body was clad in dark leather and two subtle daggers hung at her side. She looked over the druid and priestess. “You don’t have anything worth stealing,” she replied, “No offense,” a sly smirk painted her pale face as she kept her eyes on the three women in front of her. Eryss smiled politely. “None taken,” She eyed the rogue, “Can you tell me, did you come from Winterspring?” Lukretia nodded silently, her eyes washing over the tall draenei who had similar colouring to her own. Black hair was scooped back into a high ponytail, as several random strands fell across her pale face. “Did you come across any Timbermaw?” the priestess asked. “No,” replied Lukretia. Eryss furrowed her brow. “Nor did we,” she responded. “This is incredibly unusual. The Timbermaw would never leave the Hold, unless of course they were forced to-,” The priestess’s words were cut short as a deafening crash was heard. Kalysto shrieked and Lukretia immediately melded into the shadows. The earth seemed to shake beneath them as dust and rubble began to fall off the walls of the Hold. Yulla’s eyes widened as she took in the scene around them. “It’s a cave-in!” She shouted among the noise. The three women looked at her, “This way!” She made her way to the far end of the hall. The three followed her as the noise subsided somewhat. While AFF and its agents attempt to remove all illegal works from the site as quickly and thoroughly as possible, there is always the possibility that some submissions may be overlooked or dismissed in error.
