It was done, Shao Kahn was dead. Liu Kang, Kitana, Johnny Cage, Kung Lao, Jade and Sonya Blade happily ran quickly to a room which controlled Outworld’s merged realms, where they would release Earthrealm and Edenia at long lost.
Li Mei had gone before them, this had Kitana, the beautiful Edenian princess, on edge since she didn’t really trust the woman, but no matter.
They reached the room which had a large device, clockwork in design with many steel contraptions all around. In the center, where an assortment of levers and switches stood, was Li Mei.
“This is where Shao Kahn controlled what realms merged with Outworld.” She said as she eyed the contraption with greed.
“Ah, very nice Li Mei, now let’s go ahead and free Earthrealm and…” Kung Lao said as he stepped forward.
“Another step and I destroy this machine, scrapping your chance to free your realms.” She said as she bought her sword over the machine.
“I knew it.” Said Kitana as she sought a way to somehow disable her, but long distance shurikens were out of the question, as the machinery blocked most access, plus she would block anything thrown this far.
“Now then…I have every intention of freeing your realms if we can be civil about this.”
“Damn it, Li Mei. This isn’t right!” Kitana said with anger.
“Right? You know what isn’t right? This realm never having any sense of liberty of freedom, just one despot after another, that isn’t right! You’ll have your realms, but Outworld…will have its empress.” She said with clear passion in her voice.
“Then what’s with the show? What do you want? I don’t care who runs out world, just free our realms.” Jade said stepping beside Kitana.
“What I want?...” She said with a pensative look as she eyes all the warriors in front of her. “I want…a tribute. One from Edenia, and one from Earthrealm.” She said.
Kitana sighed and placed her palm on her face in annoyance. “Name it and you’ll have it.” She said, just wishing to end this farce as quickly as possible.
“From Edenia…I want Jade.” She said with a lecherous smile in which no one knew how to respond. “I am going to be honest now, I like aesthetics, I like beautiful things and Jade is beautiful.” Jade and Kitana stepped back at what she was asking.
“I will not let you have her!” Kitana said as tried to find a way to somehow take down the outworld woman.
“Fine, it’s your realm.” She said as she raised her sword again.
“Wait!...” Jade said stretching her arm forward. “Just my life for Edenia?”
“Jade no!” Kitana said as her friend began to walk forward.
“Don’t make it sound so fatalistic, I’m not going to kill you.” Li Mei said, still keeping her sword close to the device. “All I ask from Edenia is Jade, that is right.” Jade in resignation continued moving forward.
“Jade!”
“My princess, please…” She said as she continued moving forward. “It’s a…deal” She said.
“Swear by the Elder Gods!”
Jade stopped, if she did swear than by her honor she would have no choice but to obey. “By the Elder Gods, I swear my life to you.” She said as Kitana’s masked face saddened.
“Jade…”
She continued walking and stopped before Li Mei. The new apparent empress of Outworld considered giving her magic sealing cuffs, but it was untimely unnecessary due to her Edenian honor. Li Mei passed her hand through Jade’s cheek, happy at her war spoils. Jade was a pretty gem in a desert, and she was hers. Jade’s masked face looked away in shame.
Li Mei pulled a lever as the contraptions in the room began to creak and turn, it was a terrible sound, but Kitana and Jade were happy to hear it.
“Edenia is freed…” Li Mei said as a portal opened near Kitana. “Now kindly leave princes…” She demanded. Kitana looked at Jade, hoping this was some sort of plan of hers, she couldn’t leave to Edenia without her best friend.
“Princess, please…” Jade pleaded, not for her life, but for Kitana to leave. She, with great hesitance, entered the portal, closing it behind her with one last look to her friend.
After a small silence, Liu Kang stepped forward. “I’m almost afraid to ask this…but what do you want of Earthrealm?” At this, Li Mei gave one short answer with a smile. “Sonya.”
“To hell with that bitch.”
Li Mei once again placed her sword over the device, intending to destroy it, Jade wish she could do something, but she was honorbound. Sonya would rather try to find some way to recklessly save herself and Jade and risk Earthrealm then to simply surrender.
Which is why lightning suddenly struck the room, Raiden quickly took form.
“You’re not interfering lightning god!” Li Mei said, still holding her sword over the switch. Raiden looked at the scene with unfeeling eyes, and honestly a little annoyed.
“All you wish for Earthrealm’s freedom is her?” He asked.
“Raiden, what are you doing?” Liu Kang asked. Raiden looked at the group with troubled eyes.
“I am sorry…” He said as he teleported Sonya over to Li Mei with her back facing, who then hit her on the back of the head.
“Sonya!” Johnny Cage screamed at, intending to save the woman he loves, but was stopped by Raiden.
“No Johnny, what’s done is done. We must leave.” As he said this, Li Mei pulled the lever, releasing Earthrealm from Outworld. Johnny looked back towards the women.
“You…bitch!”
“Enough!” Raiden said as he teleported everyone away, leaving them alone at long last.

Jade hesitantly dragged Sonya in chains which bound her powers and weakened her considerably, they were moving up the stairs to Khan’s former chambers.
“In case you both haven’t figured it out yet, you’re both going to become my sex slaves.” Li Mei stated flatly.
Jade, struggling with the stubborn Sonya said “I…never took you one to fancy women.”
“I don’t fancy women, I fancy pretty women, pretty men, I like pretty things.” She said as she opened to the doors to her new chambers.
“You’re…a maniac.” Sonya said.
“Maybe…” Li Mei said. “But I’m just the kind of maniac Outworld needs.”
It was very Shao Kahn, large, filled with chains and a huge ugly, but luxurious bed. “Ughhh…needs some serious redecorating…but there is something we can start using.” She said as she pointed to the chains on the walls, motioning Jade to do something.
Sonya was led to them, where Jade continued struggling in order to get her chained. “I am sorry Sonya…” She said as she finished binding her. Sonya only looked at them both with scorn, especially Jade who has surrendered herself so easily.
Li Mei lay sensually on her bed, rolling in the covers. “Jade, take off your mask, there is no need for secrets anymore.”
Jade did as she was told, taking off her mouthpiece, revealing her beautifully sensuous full red lips. Li Mei smiled at this.

She saw Li Mei looking out her window naked, the sun reflecting off her skin.
“It seems people are coming over to see who their new ruler is.” She said with her back to her.
“How do you know they’ll accept you?” Jade asked, still much too groggy to get up from the bed.
“I don’t know, but it’s worth a try isn’t it? For a free outworld.” She said as she turned around and walked back towards the bed. “Now, a small morning tussle to wake myself up.” She said as she tackled Jade to the bed.
She groaned. “There’s no way I’ll be able to move.” She thought.
