Inside the Normandy, Commander Shepard stood proud observing the crew. She had recently destroyed the Collector Base, enjoying the Illusive Man’s reaction. After that, she convinced Ashley to join her in the fight against the Reapers. Now, uncertain of where to go, little did she knew her life was about to get worse. At that specific moment. Suddenly, all system and lights in the Normandy shut down. “What the hell happened?” Asked the Commander. “Well, in case you didn’t notice, all systems did shut down.” Joker replied in his sarcastic tone. “But this region of space has only one ship travelling: Us.” Shepard spoke back. “So, Joker, tell me how the hell this happened or—“ Shepard was quickly cut off by the sound of the airlock’s door opening, while some lights turned back on, dimly illuminating the room. The Commander could see some figures entering the CIC. They were armed. “Look out!” Shepard screamed as she raced towards the figures. She could see four Batarians, six Drell, three Turians and a Krogan. Two of the Drell sprinted past her, and she could see they had tubes filled with an unknown chemical strapped to their armor. She turned her attention back to the larger force. She was trusting her skills. After all, she went through many situations like that and came out pretty well. Unfortunately, she didn’t notice one of the Turians, who punched her hard in the back of her head. The Krogan used that moment to inject the unknown chemical in her neck. Immediately, she fell into a deep sleep. Kelly Chambers was terrified. She saw the Commander, and many others, including her friends Jill and Katie, fall victim to the chemical injected in their necks. Out of pure fear, she raced to the Armory, but Jacob and Ashley were already ready to fight, as they had each a Revenant, and opened fire on the assailants. However, they were met with a powerful Pull attack. Two Batarians injected that chemical onto their necks. Kelly tried to run, only to be grabbed by a Turian. “Stop.” One of the Batarians said. “Just hold her. She’s harmless.” Kelly had to admit it. She wasn’t able to harm them. On the Crew Deck, another squad of the mysterious attackers was met with an even larger force: Garrus Vakarian, Thane Krios, Kasumi Goto, Legion, Miranda Lawson, Samara, Zaeed Massani, and Grunt. However, the squad’s leader, James Speight, had the battle all planned. He was very well informed about their abilities. Miranda was the first to make a move, and the first to condemn the resistance force. She fired a Warp attack, and the attackers dispersed, knocking down Garrus, Thane, and Zaeed. The Warp blast hit two walls of the ship. After the shock, Miranda realized that the three team mates knocked down were put to sleep by the chemical. Two humans charged towards her, and she noticed that one of them had a different kind of chemical. She jabbed both of them, giving her time to see what was the chemical. It was Omega-Enkaphalin, a Cerberus drug used to supress biotics. Worse, the drug was so concentrated that it wouldn’t just supress biotics; it would make them disappear from the biotic. She was so focused on the drug that she reacted too late when another human pick up the drug and the other chemical, injecting them both into her neck. She fell asleep. James Speight felt proud when he toppled Lawson. As he turned around, he saw the two Krogan on his squad knocking Grunt out cold. His Drell friend, Teykhalom, uploaded a virus onto Legion. The virus was only designed to immobilize them and forcefully shut them down. However, Goto and Samara were still up. James looked at the remaining half of the Omega-Enkaphalin. Then, he picked up two vials from the soldier which was killed by Lawson. He sprinted towards Samara, throwing a vial to Teykhalom, who injected it onto Goto’s neck. After he reached Samara, he injected both chemicals as fast as he could. However, as soon as Samara fell to the ground, the Port Observation door opened, and the remaining crewmembers on the Crew Deck flushed in. Helen led the assault to Port Observation. The door was locked, but it wasn’t soundproof. They heard every one fall victim to the attackers. Fortunately, Rolston was a hacker when he was a teenager, and he still remembered his tricks, which he used to unlock the door. As predicted, every member of the squad was down. “Open fire!” Helen screamed to her fellow crew members. They did so. The attackers were surprised, however, their shields held against the bullets. The Drell picked two vials, injecting them in Rolston and Patel. The two Krogan were as intelligent, downing Hawthorne, Gardner, Goldstein and many more. In just half a minute, only Helen and Chakwas remained. Chakwas was firing at the soldiers in a panic, but she didn’t notice a soldier waking up. The soldier ran to Helen and injected the dreadful chemical, injecting it onto Chakwas next. They both fell asleep. “Nice work, Williamson.” James Speight addressed the soldier. The Engineering Deck was completely ravaged by the fight. Even without Zaeed and Grunt, Kenneth and Gabby still had Tali and Jack to back them up. The four were the most successful in repelling the attackers, having killed a dozen of them. However, a lone Turian led some soldiers to the sub-deck. He reached for the comms. “Speight! We need backup here, man, they’re tearing us apart!.” “Already there.” Speight answered. The line went dead, and the small squad heard footsteps. Speight’s team was joining the fight. Speight was at a loss for words. A lot of soldiers were dead. But he wasn’t going to back down. James Speight activated his cloak, and ran until he was behind the Quarian. He noticed a little slot, small enough for a vial to slip in. He quickly interfaced with the suit, a vial of antibiotics springing out. James picked it up and inserted his vial in the slot. Then, he activated the mechanisms in the vial, releasing the chemical into the Quarian’s body. Immediatly, she fell. What the fuck? Jack was surprised by Tali’s sudden fall. What she didn’t notice, was the man behind her, injecting her with two chemicals in the neck. The world went black. Kenneth suddenly felt himself outnumbered by the numerous soldiers with Tali and Jack knocked out. Fortunately, none of the soldiers had any remaining vials, since all of them were caught off-guard. Good night, engineer. James rammed the butt of his Falcon Assault Rifle into Kenneth’s head. “No!” Gabriella Daniels was shocked: everyone in the other decks was knocked out. She wasn’t armed. And she just realized her scream has likely attracted the soldiers’ attention. She felt a hand grab her. She turned around to see an unfamiliar face staring at her. “You will come with me.”
