The ground shook with the second roar.Anthias had no idea what manner of creature could make such a sound. He paused for only a moment before dropping the wooden spoon into the dirt and snatching up his bow and running from his small camp.
"I should be running the opposite way Anthias"
He said to himself as he darted through the tree's towards the village of Helgen which he was camped just east of.Speaking to himself was an old past time.
He moved well for a man of his size.Accustomed to heavier armor. The fur he had constructed to keep himself warm in the cold climates of skyrim were much easier to run in.Although he wasn't sure if he felt safe running towards something that could make those sounds only clad in bear and wolf fur for protection.
"You're a fool Anthias.This isn't your problem"
He berated himself. But not once did he slow his reckless charge through the forest.Tree branches reaching down and snagging his clothing only to snap as he kept moving.Any amatuer tracker should be able to follow his path with his eye's closed.
Jumping a small creek he finally seen a end to the tree's.When he burst out from the tree line he stood staring a the stone walls of Helgen, they still stood strong. What he couldn't believe he was seeing was a dragon, black as the night and all horns and spikes.Perched atop a guard tower breathing fire into the city.
"By the Nine. You've really chosen a fine time to save the day Anthias"
He didn't know how he could help at all.But he just knew he had too do something.

Running was actually quite difficult with her hands bound together.Jumping off a guard tower into another building was just plain idiotic. But those are the things one must do when a creature of legend if trying to eat you for breakfast.
Shara sat in the doorway of the building which use to be the local Inn.Across the way she could see Hadvir,an old friend. She knew how he felt about her and that binding her hands for the headsmen was hard. But that was how the imperial army dealt with deserters.
Thoughts of her family came back to her.Her mother and father lying dead on the floor of their home in Solitude. She thought bandits had gotten bold and struck inside the city, she was wrong.
Hadvir came to warn her as soon as he could, the Thalmor had gotten to her parents and they were coming for her too. Her family had lived in Skyrim for generations and had taken to a lot of their customs.Including the worship of the ninth divine,Talos.
A Thalmor agent must have been snooping around the family home and found a small shine her father kept. They came in the night and butchered her mother and father for being heathens.Shortly after she returned from a patrol and found her parents she got a letter from a seedy looking courier to report straight to the Blue Palace for her next patrol. That was when Hadvir appeared in her doorway.
He grabbed her by the arms and told her she must leave, that the Thalmor were after her and her life was in danger. Her first thoughts were to find the Thalmor responsible for the murders and get revenge.Hadvir convinced her to run, leave the army and run.To start a new life.Unfortunately they caught up with her on the border, she was so close to Cyrodil yet she was snatched up in the middle of a ambush set for the Stormcloaks and their leader Jarl Ulfric Stormcloak.
Hadvir's voice drew her back to reality,he was yelling for a small boy to get out of the streets.Just in time too as the dragon scorched the street where the boy had been moments before. She ran over to Hadvir and took shelter behind a building. "Shara! You're still alive!" He said as he turned to see her. "Stay with me if you want to keep it that way.Im going to find General Tullias and join in the defence"
"Then you can count me out Hadvir! Im not staying alive just so he can put me to the block again!"
"Maybe we can talk to him, get you cleared"
"You know he won'tbe able to change the minds of those Thalmor bastards! Besides. Why would i want to fight for a corrupt and murderous empire again!"
With that she snatched a dagger from his belt and sliced the leather binding her wrists.
"I'm leaving Hadvir and you can't stop me"
He sighed and nodded to her.She didn't wait around to see if he would change his mind.
The streets were chaos as she ran.Imperials all but ignored her when faced with the threat of a dragon.Even with the rags she now wore, marking her as a prisoner.
She busted through a door to the keep and slammed it behind her just in time as a wave of fire hit it the keep.
When she turned she froze as she made eye contact with a large nord holding an Axe,raised slightly towards her.He was an attractive man,if a little dirty and he wasn't wearing any uniform.
"Who the fuck are you?"
