Its April fools, so here's a short story that has no point in being here, on the most ridiculous topic that i could think of, written as seriously as I could. ENJOY!
The old grandfather clock was still functional, despite its outward appearance. It was covered in cobwebs, sure but that was the only real flaw to it. It sat in the corner of a living room next to the television. However, the clock always seemed out of place in the man's house.
40 seconds.
A tall man came downstairs. He had recently moved out of his family member's house. This one was a lot nicer, for him at least. He used to sleep on the floor, and was only allowed in half the house with permission. Sometimes he cursed his cohort's greediness, but that was gone now. It was best not to dwell in the past.
The man had just come down from a sports training simulation. He had these simulations open every day. He was an extremely good athlete, probably the best if everyone else didn't keep using cheap items all the time. Those rules would probably feel unfair if he wasn't so good at cheating himself. He threw his towel to a chair, which it landed on haphazardly, then checked his watch.
30 seconds.
It was almost the best day of the year already? He had to hurry up!
The man ran to his office area, and dug through his papers. Smash bros wanting him to be an assist trophy, some sporting invitation forms, that one form of apology about him not being invited to the 7th kart race (He would get that fat red man good for that one.), the weekly check from the bridal boutique... He dug through these forms until he found his special hat.
It had taken him a looooong time to get this hat back, but after hiring 9-volt to figure out how to crack the inner mechanics of a trans-dimensional teleporter (In exchange for a free passes to his pinball machine and games collection) the assist trophy was broken into and he was able to use it again, but only at specific times, like once a year at around sunrise on April first, or on vacation at his island (Which hadn't changed much from the third party event).
He checked his watch again as he put on his shoes.
15 seconds.
Perfect.
The man watered his pet piranha plant. Petey was growing pretty well since he came home bruised from Delphino.
He grabbed the hat and waited for the countdown on his watch to put it on.
10...9...8...
The door was unlocked; he put his keys in his pocket.
7...6...
He opened his screen door, which kept out pesky mosquitoes.
5...4...
The hat started glowing as he put in on his head. He stepped outside.
3...
A small space around him started to change color to just be white with a purple outline.
2...
He steeled himself for what he prepared for the whole year, to finally come.
1...
The old insanity rushed back, and destroyed the self-control that kept his mind steady.
The man smiled in his last moments of sanity, this was it.
Across the county Daisy and Luigi were having a nice get together at his mansion. Luigi was passing a teapot, when the hall started to shake subtly. Confused by this event, he checked his watch.
Oh shit...
"Daisy, we need to go..."
Daisy laughed. "What, did the ghosts come back?"
Luigi was shaking characteristically, "No, Its...its"
Daisy noticed the pure fear and how the room was shaking, and chuckled nervously, "I'm sure I'll be fine, whatever it is, I'm sure that Sarasaland has worse."
"No...Y-You don't understand."
Daisy was genuinely getting scared now.
"What?" Luigi shrank into a ball while trying to find a place to hide, "Its time."
Daisy checked her watch, and then the date, and practically shot up. He was right. They needed to go somewhere far away, fast.
Rosalina sat calmly on the observatory's deck. It was nice in the cosmos, it was always calm there. Perhaps she would bake something. She was in the mood for something like that.
A small beige luma wearing a red hat floated up to her, informing her of the situation at hand.
Rosalina's face changed from serenity to that of a a stern look "Close the teleporter to the planet and we should be fine."
The luma did its equivalent of a nod and floated off, leaving Rosalina with her thoughts again, though now they were drastically different.
Once a year. If this didn't happen, then he would've been a pretty good match. He was athletic, funny, could be caring under the right circumstances (Like his surprising skills in botany), and...well, she was getting sidetracked. If this had to happen, then it had to happen. It was best if he didn't hurt the lumas in the process.
Mario was doing some plumbing work.
It honestly wasn't really that interesting.
Moving on.
The man's jaw dislocated immensely. It probably would have hurt if his nerves were working, which they weren't. The radius of the area turning white with a purple outline around the man was growing at an alarming pace. He grew about a foot taller while his chin expanded.
His watch fell to the ground, showing the time of 7:00 am. As the man stopped changing he took a deep breath in.
He could do anything, practical or impractical. HE was in control. HE could destroy everything if he wanted to. HE was like a time bomb that could go off at any minute. The kingdom, no the universe, no the WHOLE MULTIVERSE has to look out.
After all,
It is Waluigi Time.

Have a good April Fools Day, or whatever day you are reading this on. Ima go write something that actually has the qualifications to be here now.
See ya.
