As the sun began to rise in the morning, Shepard sat on the ledge he and Tali sat on as she still slept. Contemplating all he had done and thoughts of his lifespan, morality and affect on the galaxy swirled within his mind. No matter what he did, death would follow. Whether he wanted it to or not. A battle raged on within the clone. He hated himself for what he had become, but also for what he did. For the first time in his life, when he was so close, he wondered if he should continue on or leave it all behind.
The clone continued sitting on the ledge he sat on with Tali earlier. For an hour, he sat in quiet contemplation. He felt as if he was slowly becoming human as he slowly died. "I'll go on..." Shepard said to himself looking out at the night sky "No matter what happens, I'll see this through...."
He deciided To protect Tali from himself and others. Shepard stood up and kissed her on the forehead as she slept, quietly sneaking to his shuttle. He lifted off, awaking Tali as he sped off for her own good. Tali would find out she had beaten a nearly impossible set of odds and had been impregnated by Shepard; gifted with a girl.
