The evening was calm and quiet, the soft hum of the ceiling fan the only sound in the room. Outside, the stars twinkled above the sleepy town, casting faint light through the window. Inside, the mood was warm and relaxed, just like it always was with Miles and Michelle.
Michelle sat cross-legged on their bed, idly flicking through her phone. She glanced over at Miles, who was lounging next to her, his head propped up on a pillow, lazily scrolling through a random article on his tablet. His fluffy tail flicked in slow, lazy motions, reflecting his usual laid-back attitude.
As much as Michelle enjoyed the intensity of her time with Wolf—the passion, the raw energy, the way he seemed to ignite a fire inside her—there was something deeply comforting about the way things were with Miles. It was different, but different didn’t mean bad.
Not at all.
“Hey,” Miles said softly, his voice cutting through the quiet. He turned his head, giving her one of those lopsided grins that always made her smile. “You good?”
Michelle nodded, putting her phone down and crawling over toward him. “Yeah, just… thinking.”
“About?” Miles asked, setting his tablet aside as well, his paw reaching out to gently brush a strand of fur from her face.
“About how different it is with you,” she said honestly, settling down beside him, her body naturally curling into his. “You’re not like Wolf. Things aren’t all... intense and fiery. It’s more relaxed.”
Miles raised an eyebrow, his grin widening. “That a bad thing?”
“No,” Michelle said quickly, shaking her head as she nuzzled against his chest. “Not at all. I love it.”
Miles chuckled, his arms wrapping around her waist, pulling her closer. “Good. ‘Cause you know me—intense is kinda exhausting. I’m more of a... take-it-easy kinda guy.”
Michelle smiled, her body sinking into his as she let herself relax fully. That was what she loved most about being with Miles. There wasn’t any rush, no wild fire of passion that demanded everything from her. Instead, it was like slipping into a warm bath—a slow, steady burn that left her feeling safe and content.
He leaned in, pressing a soft kiss against her forehead, his paw lightly trailing down her back in a soothing rhythm. She sighed contentedly, feeling the gentle rise and fall of his chest beneath her.
“You don’t need to be like Wolf,” she murmured against him, her fingers tracing absent patterns through his fur. “You’re perfect just the way you are.”
Miles’ grin softened, his ears flicking as he nuzzled her back. “I know. I’m not trying to be anything but me, anyway.”
The touch of his paws was gentle, slow, nothing rushed or hurried. His movements were languid, easy, as though he had all the time in the world just to enjoy the moment with her. It wasn’t the fiery passion that sent her heart racing, but it was no less intimate. There was a quiet kind of affection in the way he held her, like the steady rhythm of the ocean.
As his paws explored her fur, Michelle felt herself relax even further. With Miles, everything was soft, steady, and unhurried. It was like they existed in their own little bubble, where time didn’t matter, where the outside world didn’t exist.
He shifted slightly, turning her so that she was lying beneath him, his weight pressing down in the most comforting way. His touch remained light, his lips brushing against hers with a softness that made her melt. There wasn’t any rush or urgency—just the two of them, enjoying each other, at their own pace.
Michelle sighed into the kiss, her paws running up along his back, enjoying the feel of his fur under her fingers. There was no need for wild passion here—just the quiet, constant connection they shared.
When he finally moved deeper, the sensation was gentle, natural, and oh so familiar. There was no need to push or rush. Miles was always slow, always deliberate, always making sure she was comfortable, taking his time to make sure everything was just right.
Michelle moaned softly as they found a rhythm together, their movements synced in that effortless way they always seemed to manage. She wrapped her legs around him, pulling him closer, her body relaxing even further into his.
“You good?” he murmured, his voice low and soft as he kissed the side of her neck.
“Mmhmm,” she hummed, her eyes half-lidded in contentment. “Perfect.”
They stayed like that for what felt like hours—moving together in that quiet, steady rhythm, no pressure, no urgency, just the two of them enjoying each other. It wasn’t about intensity or pushing boundaries—it was about being in the moment, sharing something intimate in their own easy way.
Eventually, they reached that familiar peak, but even then, it was a slow build rather than a sudden explosion. The pleasure washed over them like a gentle wave, leaving them both breathless and content, tangled together in the aftermath.
Michelle smiled up at him, her fingers brushing through his fur. “See?” she whispered, pressing a kiss to his jaw. “This is why I love being with you. It’s just... easy.”
Miles chuckled softly, his body still pressed against hers as he kissed her back. “Told you. No pressure, no stress. Just us.”
Michelle sighed happily, feeling the warmth of his body and the steady beat of his heart beneath her cheek. With Miles, it wasn’t about wild passion or intensity—it was about feeling safe, loved, and completely comfortable in her own skin.
And as they lay there, wrapped up in each other, Michelle couldn’t imagine wanting anything more.
For Michelle, the fiery passion of her time with Wolf had its place, but with Miles, things were different. It was slow, easy, and deeply comforting. There was no need for intensity when the connection between them was as strong as it was. And in those quiet, laid-back moments, Michelle knew that she had exactly what she needed.
