Chapter 10 : ((sorry, loooong review for me)
I like the initial fixation on the blood and how it was evocative of Daniel's memories regarding his parent's deaths. The association, I feel, is very real, especially because thoughts of his parents have been aroused lately. Frank and Daniel also seem unable to look away from Andre's decimated corpse, which adds a realism that many seem to skip over - how everyone is drawn to horrific sights despite themselves.

Walter was fantastic, especially the phrases you give him, eg "your golden ball of despair and delusions? I refuse to catch it". He sounds oddly wordly, priestly and insane, which makes him really jump off the page and mug me. I felt for Daniel as well, especially when he was berating himself for his mother's death. It was good to see him get some control, though, with the "door" that let Frank in and then kicked him out.

Curious as to who "they" are and, of course, whether Henry will be able to patch Daniel up okay (Hope so!) Briliant chapter! So very twisty (and twisted)!

I really LOVE your stories all of them!!^^ you're a wonderful writer! you are able to create a whole new universe starting from a simple star, you take a story that has limits even if it is beautifull ( Resident Evil, Silent Hill..) and you turn it into something unique, unimaginable and special. You have a gift!!^^ And I'm ashamed of those that try to bring you down and take their frustrations out on your works!! But you have a strong soul, so just keep on writing!!^^ I'll cheer for you!

Damn...that was an awesome chapter to start the new year!

There are so many layers to it that I don't know where to begin. Walter's revelations about his time with the Order, Daniel's source of discontent with his life, finding out that he could influence the world Walter is in...it was all incredibly fascinating.

I REALLY didn't expect Frank to find his way into the Otherworld. I thought he would come in and see Daniel standing over Andre's bruatlized body, but instead you did one better and had Walter continue the game he has going on. I actually prefer this scenario, since Frank now knows Daniel's not crazy. He might try to convince himself it was all a dream or hallucination, but that won't change the fact he's finally seen Walter in the flesh.

I really sympathize with Daniel now. If I were carrying around all that guilt and regret, I'd be a wreck too even without the craziness of Walter's schemes.

You have a very poetic/metaphorical style of writing -- you're to be commended for it. It's something I've never mastered, and I doubt I ever will. I know you've mentioned numerous times that you owe a lot to your beta reader, but I still think you have an enormous amount of natural talent that few betas could ever hope to improve on. No writer is perfect, and even the legends of the publishing world had things about their works that they regretted. For a story done solely out of love for the Silent Hill series and the wish to tell a good tale, this is about as good as it gets.

Yes! Man, I've been hanging out for this chapter, and I'm glad it was the first piece of fanfic that I've read this year.
The cliffhanger burns but in a good way. rest assured that the reader is left wanting, needing more.
I really love the interaction that Walter and Daniel have. Their scene was bloody and very, very hot.
    I await more, as always.

Wow, I must say you really know how to tell a story! Definatly worth the wait ^.^ I love how well you fleshed out Walter’s predatory side in this chapter, I half expected to see some sex but I think you did even better without it, I am thoroughly impressed. Please, keep up the good work.
    and btw
This is the best story I have EVER read on AFF

    Review for Chapter 10:

    Mmmmm... That was delicious!

I thank you so much for continuing. I think that it was very well worth the wait. *melts into puddle of goop* Best New Year's present ever.

Poor Daniel, he just doesn't know what to do with himself. That place messes with you! He is quite the hero, though, thinking to save Frank from Walter.

    Again, thank you. *bows*

This story is great, I love the character Daniel so much! Clever of you to have two people after Daniel (Valtiel and Walter.)when in the 4th game only Walter went after Henry. Funny thing about this story, whenever I read the chapters with Daniel stuck in his room, painting and being tormented by Walter and 'mother' I feel very...empty I guess you could say.
Keep up with the amazing story! I can't wait for chapter 10 :)

Great story, as always, and like always, waiting for another update :P

One thing to think about though is that there are more people like Cherl and heather and Alessa wandering around the nightmare worlds though, as well as worlds that exist both above and below it (the example of Stanely, who thought Heather was his one true love in the third game. He came from a better world, and was going to show Heather how to go there herself before the nightmare swallowed him). Also, the impact that faith and hope have in beating back the darkness (at least, for those with power, such as Heather aand Alessa) as well as the fact the aspects of the world that are toxic to demons (like Aglophgos (sp? the red substance in the first game Harry uses to spearate Sameal from Alessa, and the red jewel that's in Heather's amulet).

Just some stuff to think about, hope to see you update soon!

WHOA!!! I KNEW it was Andre he was acutally killing, in the back of my mind I was saying "..wasnt the monsters actually like...people?" from SH2 I think it was, it was a theary me and my brother hand.

Awsome chapter, it took me a while to finally read it because I had to get back into my Silen Hill mood
