    Here's the gushing. :D

First off, let me say this; I have not played Silent Hill, nor have I seen the film. I'm now interested in SH4, but it may still be a while before I can play, what with final exams and so on. But, the very fact that I don't need to have (much) background knowledge of Silent Hill to enjoy this fic is a commendation unto you. It really is as if Daniel is discovering and experiencing all of this mind-bending stuff for the first time, and it isn't cheapened by the narrator inserting a bit of assumed canonical detail, if you get what I mean. The descriptions from Daniel are the only way they are introduced. It just so happens that those descriptions are absolutely delicious as well, which makes it all the better.

That was very meandering, sorry. Essentially - "Yay, fic I can understand and sucks me in as well!".

On that note, the pacing is very good in of itself. There is no apparent rush to get to the 'good bits' as it can be in other fiction. There are justifications for
actions, emotional detail that is not just glib fodder. Can practically see the causality happening; A does this because he feels this which causes B to happen which then causes A to feel C, which then leads to D. All of these factors are pretty much taken into account, and there is nothing (at least, what I feel) that comes flying awkwardly out of left field.

Finally you have good, solid characters. From what I hear, the canon characters are pretty much in character (with Henry admittedly being a tad too talkative, but that is forgivable when the only company you have is Walter). Your original characters are sympathetic, who are for the most part not trite nor unbelievable. Melanie may have been just slightly overdone at first, but now that I know why she's the way she is, it makes her all the more awesome.

And Daniel. He's normal. An absolute novelty. Just watching him trying to cope but not quite being able to is heart-wrenching. Incredibly intriguing, too. You pull off madness very well, too.

Looking forward to the next chapter~

    Nooo! Cliffhanger!

But I need to know what's going to happen....

Sorry I haven't been keeping up with this fic, real life interferes.

But damn, I was happy to see that you'd done so much in my absence.
At least now I'll have a lot to re-read whilst I eagerly await more.

As always this is a thrilling, terrifying, gory, beautiful piece of writing, and I am enthralled.

    Chapter Seven:

Daniel's descent is really intense in this chapter and I think you've conveyed that perfectly. The raw emotion flows and it's not overdramatized or even under -- just the right amount. I definitely love every scene with Valitiel. Besides Daniel, he's my favorite in this story. The conversation between Henry and Daniel kind of gave me a peace about things, and of course it didn't last long. *laughs* But that small moment was a nice addition... it helped to even out the darkness consuming Daniel's world. Poor, poor guy...

The ending of this chapter, from Daniel collapsing and on is really, really intense and I loved every minute of it. The pace was good... the dialogue was not cliched, and I love the desperation in Frank to get to Daniel before it's too late.

And you left off at such a cliffhanger! *flails* I can't wait to see what Daniel will see. It's going to be good. ^_^ Thanks for sharing, love.

(Damn... Sephykoi, I sympathise with you)
As I said, during these scenes I'm both freaked out and curious about what Saddler/Wesker/Walter/Valtiel is planning to do (What a sadist I am... Sorry Leon and Daniel. ;p).
Another thing I like : you have the same kind of scenes in your two stories, but you manage to respect the proper "atmosphere" ("ambiance" in french ; I dunno if my english is correct here) of each fandom. I mean that your RE stories have a RE ambiance, while your SH have a SH ambiance ; and both are equally fun to read.

Bad me for not having reviewed your story before. BAD !
I'd like to leave lengthy reviews like Sephykoi, but I have an excuse : chronical laziness (*shows medical certificate*). :p
But I had to leave a review because of Chapter 6 : it reminded me so much of the infamous "Soul bond" scene from "Rare effects". Both texts are among my favorite Erotic/Scary scenes. Maybe it's the "Coooome... Yes, yiiiield to meee..." that I like so. When I read this, I'm both fre"NONONONONONONO, stay away !" and curious about

    (damn, again?! o.o;)

The doll just... whoaaa... I kinda ended up liking it after it protected him, but... The little thing about it having been Walter the whole time made me go, "O_O Oh crap..." Wonderfully done X3 I like that little detail. Adds more to the doll thing like whoa. XD; Now I dunno whether to be scared or not--doll = Walter... o.o Scary... not scary (I've a little thing for the madman *heart*)...? Hehe.

Henry. ... *fangirl squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee of death* EEEEEEEEEE~! ... I'll stop now. ._. But but, you did SO well as him! I'm glad ya made him speak more than 3 syllables XD The convo with Daniel... Ohh man I can't say many things about it 'cause I keep rereading it XD I love it. Simple as that. I like how Henry was like, "Hey, I'm the one sulking here. Not you! :3 *pets Daniel*" when he comforted him. Awwww!! *heart* Daniel was sooo sweet too! Hehe! I love how the two interacted; it was very human, and interesting. The holy candles. Hehe. I can just imagine them popping outta the hole. XD Sorry, I found that cute and funny somehow. :3

I like how Daniel was comforted by Henry's presence--someone else other than the walls, Valtiel, & Walter to talk to. It seemed Henry liked the fact that someone else was there as well. Awesome :3

Heh heh, I realize that's the longest part of this review--Henry & Daniel. X3 I'll stop now.

Valtiel was awesomeeee! I found it amusing how he scared Daniel, but then this is comin' from someone who thinks Val's hot. ._.; I find it great that you captured him true to the game, and even added a little to him--like what he would do to Daniel (too bad it didn't happen *pervy* XD) and his/it's emotions towards Daniel. Heh heh, that made me squee.

:( When Daniel didn't realize that Melanie was outside... made me sad. -_-; It was a relief when he was sane again, and realized that Frank & Melanie (@_@ still hard to read, only 'cause I keep saying, "It's not me. XD; *sniff*") were trying to get to him.

@_@ Did I miss anything...? Oh yeah! The ending rocked my socks. I couldn't wait to see what he would do in the nightmare world--evil cliffy! :3 He'll meet Henry or something, yes? *heart* And since I beat the game a few days before reading this, I know what area he's in and what it looks like--when you write it though, you always make it seem... more. More freaky, more scary, more sensual, more etc. It's great! :3 So now I'm tryin' to make what I know from the game into something more. And I like how it's turnin' out--how I see it, that is. Wooo!

WOW this is getting long. o.o I hope I didn't miss anything... o_o If I did, I might gotta go back, but if not... I dunno. XD I think this is long enough (for now?)

Hehe... Anyway, hope ya like this review! *hugs* Good job on the chapter! Hope to see another soon :3

(damn, it cut off already o.o)

Okie dokie, my review! @_@ Where to start...

... er... so much to cover *heart*!

Poor Daniel. He REALLY went nuts in this one! From painting the walls (and I agree with Hellquin--I've felt that thing about his muse when reading this chapter), to f-ing up his apartment. And how he reacted to everything he did, or some other thing did, was very heartwrenching as well as creepy. *coughthedamndoll!cough*

Though dammmmmnn... I don't know whether to laugh or cry that he went with Walter. o.o Valtiel... Walter... Valtiel... ._. I'd just go w/Pyramid head. LOL!

His muse is just... whoa. It sounds like it's someone that's not a part of him, or at least he doesn't realize it or something. But then, considering that Alessa's apparently his sister... it explains a lot. X3

His dream was... very interesting. And when he had to go through it when he wasn't sleeping... I felt hella sorry for him. T_T Poor boy... *hugs him* I like how ya put a lotta symbolism, metaphors, and hints & forbidings to what's to come. :3 It really give the mind a kick!

The doll just... whoaaa... I kinda ended up liking it after it protected him, but... The little thing about it having been Walter the whole time made me go, "O_O Oh crap..." Wonderfully done X3 I like that little detail. Adds more to the doll thing like whoa. Damn what a cliffhanger...
Once again you manage to write another amazing, creepy, disturbing and just damn good chapter. I'm really addicted to your stories. When I saw you updated earlier today I started reading and I was so deep in to the story that I totally forgot about the time and almost came to late for work.

Daniel and Henry finally met! Henry was nothing like I thought he would be. I just thoight he would be...older I think. Since I don't know anything abou Silent Hill, I really don't know anything about the characters. But it doesn't matter because i still love them!
And poor Daniel. Om my god, poor Daniel. I feel so sorry for him. How Walter keeps messing and manipulating him. I just love this story.
And you update it so often, that's just...so good. Thank you so much.

    ...damn you and your cliffhangers!!!RAWR

*cough* anyway, great chapter, I felt myself going crazy and anxious while reading it!

I think theres a small spelling error..somewhere...I know I saw it, but when I looked back I couldnt find it! It might of been just me though..

oh yes, and that "Little bitch better pick that up…" part with the doll, MADE-MY-DAY!!! Oh man, I laughed so hard at that part, thats exactly what I would say if I was him..ahh..good times...good times...

And his little muse is making me hate her....I think I know whats going on, and that little 'hint' Walter said about his 'creations' made it click, I see where this is going..

Sorry it took me so long to check out this story.

Wow! This is one of the creepiest stories I have ever read. It's also very well written, and the characters are incredibly well developed. I really like Daniel and Melanie, and Lucia's rather interesting, though I hope Andre finds himself face to face with a certain immortal in a blue trenchcoat eventually. I doubt he'll be all macho and bad ass then. ;)

You've also done a very good job with Henry. He has a real personality that was sorely lacking in SH4, and he definitely has some balls for lasting so long against Walter. Alessa was creepy...it sounds like she's definitely unstable wherever she is. Valtiel is equally as unsettling. It's pretty easy to get used to him in SH3 and even poke fun at him for being so passive and weird. It's nice to see a story where he shows his true colors.

Overall, you're doing an excellent job with this story so far. I'm definitely looking forward to more. :D
